They have wonderful outdoor seating, and their service is very quick and excellent. All of their sandwiches are amazing, I would highly recommend the bourbon chicken, chicken caprese, and crab cake sandwich. They come with sides, I loved their hush puppies. Their orange juice is a must have, as it is freshly squeezed and as pure as rainwater. They have a great menu and their beach nachos are a must have appetizer with a large portion size. Great location right on the boardwalk. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, both of which offer a great view. Our waitress was very nice. I ordered the broiled crab cake and mac and cheese. Both were super delicious! This was my first time eating there and I will definitely be going back more often!

What a nice restaurant / bar. Our waitress was knowledgeable and very nice. Food came on time and good portions. I had crab cake sandwich with fries . Fried nicely and flavorful. Everyone was lively and having a good time. Parking is a bit limited but there are so many garage parking in the area. The next time I’m in Va beach will be back for sure

It was after 10 when I came in. It appeared to be very busy but I was able to be seated right away. The steak bites were great. Salad was nothing special. The nachos were good and a really large portion. The steamer bags with the crab legs, shrimp, eggs, corn and potatoes was disappointing and quite disgusting. Expected the seafood to be up to par being at the beach. BEWARE NO OLD BAY, NO SEASONING AT ALL, NOT EVEN A PINCH OF SALT. Overall nice ambiance and great service.

Great place to eat right here n the beach. Indoor and heated patio service. Extensive drink menu and fabulous food selection. Just seafood entree was delicious and steak and shrimp taco had excellent flavor. Blackened tuna tacos not has flavorful. Steady crowd any time of day. They do offer valet parking. Within walking distance from so many hotels.

We went multiple times while here on vacation and it was pretty good! Everything we tried was either excellent or just okay. Some enjoyed their meal more than others (the burgers are a little lackluster). The real star players are their appetizers and happy hour deals- they were fantastic. Service had always been excellent with frequent check ins. Things I recommend: The fish tacos, Signature Wings (Thai Chili), Hush Puppies w/ Whipped Honey Butter, the Beach Nachos with Pork.

Fun restaurant right on the beach! We sat outside under the covered patio. Food and service were amazing! Drinks and appetizers came right out and was a very short wait for our meals! We had the Chix Crap Dip with Grilled Pita, Blueberry Lemonade, Cherry Limeade, Peel & Eat Shrimp Bag and Crab & Shrimp Bag.

Favorite place to.go when I visit my daughter in Va Beach. It's our go to place, just the 2 of us, to have the yummy crab dip. Drinks are reasonable and ghe orange crush varieties are plentiful.

Red Bull watermelon crush is unique and refreshing!! The CRAB DIP IS AMAZING!! you are offered peta bread and chips!!! Megan is wonderful!!

Robbie, Robbie, Robbie . Robbie is a busser who makes a difficult job of a waiter more difficult by making them do their job and his job then he embarrasses them in front of the people in the resturant on top of that. FREE CHRISTINA!!!!!! FOOD WAS GOOD.

This is what a board walk seafood restaurant should be. Casual and lively with great quality seafood. The crab especially was really good! We (party of 2) stopped by for dinner and although it was busy we were seated in 15 minutes. We ordered a couple Crush cocktails, fried calamari, crab dip, just seafood entree, and pork belly tacos. Everything was great but what really stood out to us was the crab dip. Restaurant was well staffed and very quick with service.

Expect your run-of-the-mill boardwalk beach food; flavorless, greasy, burnt to a crisp. We got the nachos, hush puppies and split a shrimp bag. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. The presentation was abysmal; looked like cafeteria food. This place draws a specific vacationing crowd; those stopping in off the Oceanfront. The only perk was the valet. Otherwise, I would never return.

We went on a rainy weeknight so it wasn't as busy in the back area as it was in the bar area. This was fine as we had our kiddo with us, and we were there to eat not drink drink. We ordered a she-crab soup for the table since we kept seeing it and wasn't exactly sure what it was. And we all loved it! The SIL ordered a bowl for herself. Then 3 of us shared a shrimp and crab feast and ended up ordering a second bag/order. It was delicious eats... The service was kind and friendly, as well as attentive. The ambiance was chill. We could see the beach, and I know on a sunny beautiful day, especially in the summer time this spot gets crackin'! (Haha, get it?) All right. Well, all in all, nice restaurant, friendly service, clean bathrooms and spaces, and good food.

My family was looking for a seafood boil so we came here. Although their seafood bag isn't quite the seafood boil we were expecting (in terms of seasoning), we were not disappointed given how fresh the seafood tasted. The bar seemed to be backed up and was slow with our drinks, but other than that my family had a good meal.

Chix is always a classic go to in Virginia Beach! It's always packed, but they always seem to find a table for you! I got the shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries this time, and they were absolutely delicious! I washed it down with an orange crush Which is a must drink while you are there. The staff is friendly and the views are great looking out over the water, put it on your list to go to in Virginia Beach!

Wonderful dining experience ! A must visit on every trip to the Oceanfront. We've dined here many times typically for lunch. My favorite is the seafood platter, fried of course. The food is perfectly cooked and seasoned. We've also had the crab dip, crab cakes, fish dishes, scallops and prawns. Again perfectly prepared. The staff are attentive and customer service is outstanding. The patio and sunroom are excellent especially with the sea breeze. If you're looking for an awesome dining experience by the sea this is the place. Can't wait to come back again!

The food was great! The service was great. Our waitress was on top of our drinks and making sure all was well. We love that it is right on the boardwalk!!!! Very convenient when staying at a hotel on Atlantic Ave. Now the bad.... I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they automatically added gratuity. I have no problem tipping, especially when the service is good. I even tipped our waitress even though the gratuity was already taken out. I get it can be tough, but to automatically take it out is ridiculous. It seems like when places like this automatically take your money to tip, the service lacks. Granted ours didn't and like I said we tipped more. But to automatically take it, is borderline theft in my eyes. I base my 4 stars on the food and service this trip but I will not return.

Recommend the crab dip, crab cake sandwich, and creamsicle crush for a hot sunny beach day! Great ambiance, service, and food. We came in from out of town and found the valet to be a huge advantage too! The valet guys were respectful and incredibly nice too! Can't wait to come visit again!

Chix has a great ambiance, the view of the boardwalk and oceanfront is beautiful all year long (anywhere you sit) and the crowd there is always friendly and fun, as well as the attentive service. The food is really good, I have had the calamari many times, stuffed jalapeño peppers, peel and eat shrimp, burger sliders, chicken sandwich, Greek salad.....and of course orange crushes. Sometimes there's live music in the gazebo where they have plenty of outdoor seating. I definitely recommend.

Amazing !!!! Orange Crush was delicious and I can't wait to go back for some more! I got the grilled chicken sandwich with buffalo mozzarella and balsamic glaze very tasty! The others in my group ordered the surf and turf tacos they looked amazing . Several got a variation of nachos and they too looked yummy !

I think this is the worst restaurant I've ever frequented in my entire life. The food was terrible, their service was terrible, I have a disabled brother and the woman that seated us was extremely rude, and I would never ever come back here again. I give this restaurant at very negative rating and I would recommend other people never ever try to go there. They seated us in an air conditioned. It Was intolerable, and they didn't tell us they were going to do that.

My husband and I came here for lunch. I got the crab cake sandwich and my husband got the tuna tacos. We got to sit on the covered patio. We love getting to eat at places with outdoor seating. We had a nice view of the boardwalk and ocean. Our food was good. I thought the crab cake could have been larger. The bun was bigger than the crab cake, but the flavor was good. My husband's tuna taco had a large piece of seared tuna. Yummy, but would have been better cut into smaller pieces. The service was good. We did not have to wait long for anything. Overall, not a bad spot.

Everything was great! The fish was fresh, excellently prepared and presented well. Additionally, the servers were friendly and very attentive. Had a very enjoyable evening in fact so enjoyable we went back the next night and had the same great experience.

Food was good. Service was on time. We had a large group and they accommodated us very quickly. View of the beach and ocean was wonderful. Perfect end to a great trip! First time ever eating she crab soup and it was very good! Burger was ok but that's what I get for ordering beef at a seafood place! Hahahahah!

I came in for lunch. The wait time was quick and the ocean view , from the patio, was great. I must say the roasted vegetables are amazing. The location is perfect for parking and walking the waterfront, or taking a stroll from your hotel room. The restaurant offers valet service, with gratuities in lieu of changing for the service.

I Went here for a date night and the food was excellent I had a hummus wrap and my date had the crab ripper and we split some beach nachos which hit the spot. Valet was great as always but the server wasn't as attentive. Also the hostess was not very welcoming and made my date feel very uncomfortable.

Celebrated my daughters 18th birthday here tonight. Great staff and amazing food. We will be returning

Good food, strong drinks, excellent service and a great view of the ocean. Stopped by on a Monday early evening in March and the place was busy-ish for the off season. Seated right away by the hostess on the heated patio overlooking the water. Perfect view! Server was great and made sure we had what we needed and checked up on us. Enjoyed the happy hour specials both food and drink wise. Orange Crush was nice and strong and the hubs enjoyed his bud light. Food we got the Happy Hour wings and the 1/2 of a pound shrimp deal. Both were a great portion and nicely cooked. The wing flavor was the flavor of the week and it was a nice sauce. Other menu items looked great and will be back to try more of their food!

Great bar vibe right on the beach. Stuffed salmon was my favorite. It was seasoned well and wish I could order seconds of the couscous. I would pass on the tuna. I can't put my finger on it, but something just wasn't great. Mashed potatoes were a hit though. The highlight of the night was the Chixtini. I had to order 2.

Was in VA for a work related thing and we ate in Chix easily 3 times while we were there. I want to give one star because they introduced me to their Orange Crush beverage and now I cannot get it at home :( Scallops were TO DIE FOR. Saturday night the place had dancing and was difficult to leave, so just be warned if that is not your scene.

This place is awesome!! Events people aren't to helpful or accommodating. However kitchen, wait staff and food is great!

The nachos at this place are not good! They did not put enough sides or cheese on these and we basically ate just chips!! Don't recommend !! The seafood boil was ok, steamed shrimp were good! The lemon butter trio seafood dinner wasn't as big as I was exspecting it to be

Food was mid, server was uninterested Out of a dozen clams 6 were closed. Sausage and corn in the boil was Slivers of food Burger was overcooked, dry and really no taste Location is great

Sweet spot close to the beach! My wife and I shared the fish and lobster and scallops! Always worried scallops will be over cooked but these were phenomenal! As was everything else! There was a drunk lady being loud but we thought it was just good ole fashioned beach people watching entertainment!

The menu had a variety of choices with typical fare, hinting that the food will be just ok. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the food came out pretty tasty, with great seasoning. Service was friendly and attentive. Beachfront views and a casual atmosphere and overall, it's an easy recommendation for a simple, satisfying beach lunch or dinner.

Sat outside and it was beautiful. Had the ultimate seafood dish and it left me stuffed. Will definitely come back.

The wings were awesome!! Beer was cold and Tara, the barmaid was awesome!!! Would highly recommend this for your place to have a drink and eats after a good time on the beach!!

Cool place with oceanfront seating Sister restaurant to Watermans. Great variety on the menu. Friendly casual service and atmosphere.

My friends brought me here for my bachelorette weekend festivities and it was a great time! We went on a Friday night and they had an awesome DJ who provided good vibes the whole night. The food was great for bar food and the portions were large. My only complaint would be the drinks. We all agreed that they tasted watered down. The service was also great as we were able to be seated and taken care of right away! Definitely recommend!

First time in and it was Outstanding! Courtney suggested the Broiled seafood platter, which was the Fresh Catch of Day. That was a home run! Got a couple Caribbean Crushes thanks to Tracy. There was another in the middle, but we won't mention that one. Courtney was right again. So as you can see; Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I stopped across the street at Waterman's Spirits and they sent me over here.

Stopped by Chix for dinner on a Wednesday night since it was right next to the hotel I was staying at. Surprisingly the place was packed for it being a weekday! We were seated right away but after that the service was abysmal. Our waitress took quite a while to come by and get our order, by then we were ready to order our meal too so we did it in one go in case she took even longer to come back for our food order. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my husband ordered their clams. I also got their Caribbean crush drink and my husband ordered a beer. Our drinks arrived fairly quickly. I will say, I am not impressed at all with their alcoholic beverages. The flavor was off and didn't taste like the flavor profiles described on the menu. The bacon cheeseburger was good, but it's pretty hard to mess up a burger. My husband said the clams were good too. Honestly I probably would not come back here. Their drinks were awful and the food was just ok. The service was very slow. I think we saw our waitress twice. Once to take out order and again to bring the bill. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Chix on the Beach.

Food was 4/5 but service here seems to always lack- very noisy and feels like a chain even though it's not- ate Cesar salmon salad / shrimp and chips

Came here on a beautiful day in October. We sat on the patio which was wonderful and an awesome view!! Courtney was very friendly - she was great. She kept those orange crushes coming. :) The crab dip with the pita was so good. Even my friend who doesn't like crab dip likes this crab dip. It comes with pita, chips or both. The warm pita was perfect. I ordered tuna bites and they were a bit overcooked.....not a lot of pink. My friends liked their food. I think she got the bourbon chicken sandwich and mac and cheese for a side. That mac and cheese looked delicious. It took all my strength not to take my fork and help myself. I will be back. I didn't even take any pictures because I didn't want to be that person. Oh.....valet parking only. But they do take Venmo for tips which is very convenient.

Drink specials. Good bartenders. Good food. The first time we went it was super crowded but we found some seats at the bar. The worst seats! Couldn't see the tvs. Our food was good though and the bartender was really nice. We went again a second time and luckily got seats at the bar again. A ton of eagle fans were there. Again our food was good and the bartender provided great service. I can see why this place is so popular. It was a ten minute walk from our hotel. Right on boardwalk. Second day they also had live music playing outside.

Came down to visit family and always wanted to try this place. We came during the evening but did not stay as long as I wanted because of the incoming tropical storm. My son is going through a growth spurt so ordered the children's chicken tenders and cheeseburger. He devoured all of it. I had the Poppin' Goat Cheese Burger. Jalapeños stuffed with goat cheese and bacon on a burger. Wow is all I can say. My wife ordered the classic burger with everything on it. Nothing fancy, but she really enjoyed it. I love the feel of this place, and being on the beach makes for a relaxing quick bite. Our waitress was amazing as well. She was very bubbly and accommodating. She answered all our questions with no problems. Next time I am in VA Beach, I will be back to try some other things.

Bri was the best, hands down! I came in town and invited all the girls and they all showed up. All 19 of us! With a 5 minute call ahead we arrived and they were ready for us. Bri was super sweet, efficient and took such great care of us. She knew exactly what it takes to give good service and excellent hospitality. All the gals appreciated her so much! We will be back and ask for Bri also food and drinks were perfect! Did I mention we all had separate checks? She didn't have one item out of place. Amazing!

Location of this place is priceless eating while on the beach feels like a scene from a movie. The food was tasty and fresh like that morning fresh. I've never had seafood that fresh before. It left me speechless at how prompt the staff was and let's not forget they have free valet parking(yes I tipped them). Definitely will be making a trip back whenever stopping through Virginia Beach again.

Extremely impressed!!! Came on a Saturday night. The place was packed , no parking left. We had a table in 5 minutes. Lauren was our waitress. She was polite and quick. Everything we ordered came out delicious and quickly. For a restaurant to be this busy and still quick and with delicious drinks and food it's very impressive!

Attempted to make an on line reservation for Sunday, July 27th and the site said that they were not accepting reservations on line and we would need to call. Called and they said they were not taking reservations. Went to the restaurant, put our name on the waitlist for 9 people and waited our turn. Once our name came up we were escorted to 2 separate tables with no way to push them together. Asked for a different table and they said that was the best they could do and if we weren't happy they would put us back on the list for a larger table. After we were seated, noticed a large table available nearby and they said we could not have it because it was reserved. Service was below par. Some appetizers came after the entree and the waitress never returned to refill drinks or check on service. We were charged an automatic 20% gratuity due to the size of our party even though we were at 2 separate tables.

We hit this place after visiting another establishment across the street, we just came for some drinks and apps. Our server Robbie was great. I had their Honey Habanero Crush which was a perfect spicy cocktail. Also ordered hushpuppies to munch on, which were nice sized fried hushpuppies. The weather that day wasn't so great but we made the most of it.

I ordered the fish tacos and they were delicious! I almost ordered the surf and turf but glad I changed my mind. Our waiter was also very nice and accommodating. Overall, I loved my experience. Perfect location right on the water!
