The 18 Best Restaurants in Torrance - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Cho Dang Tofu is a strip mall Korean spot in Torrance, serving everything from sizzling bulgogi platters to soft tofu stew. While meat dishes like their beef ribs and pork belly deserve your attention, vegetarians can also find a bunch of great options here outside of just banchan. The mushroom soon tofu is silky and full of tender king oysters, and the vegetable dumpling tofu stew has a good balance of chewy and crunchy textures. " - Nikko Duren, Garrett Snyder

One of my all-time favorite restaurants in the LA area. Amazing tofu soups, the banchan (side dishes) are ample and tasty. And other dishes like the Bi Bim Bop are also delicious. Such nice staff, always enjoy coming here (have been coming here for 20 years).

This was the first time dinning in this restaurant. When we walked in, we saw a sign said ‘door closed’, we thought it was rung out of business. But we overheard they are just moving to other location. The food was amazing. We ordered a hot stone bibimbap and kimchi beef tofu soup with egg. They were delicious. The banchan was very good too. I’m glad that they are only moving to other location. I will definitely go back.

I've been coming here since I was going to school in the area, and it was my mom's favorite place to eat at. Since then I've taken many friends, including travelers here, and this was their favorite place as well. You can't go wrong with their beef soon tofu (pictured), which comes with the appetizers. Meal delivery is pretty quick, and the staff are always very nice.

It was my first time here today and already thinking about when I can go back! They are right between the bowling alley and Trekkers. Plenty of parking too. As you park and start walking towards the restaurant, you can smell the amazing food! I got the Mushroom Soon, which they offer a vegetarian style. It was soooo good!

This is a korean restaurant with a relatively high food quality. Menu is simple, but enough variety to let you enjoy a decent korean meal. The pork dish and the beef ribs are must try items!!! Food was served hot and fresh, waitresses were korean and very friendly, no communication barriers at all. Will definitely visit again!

I love this place, it's so amazing. Hard to find a lot of vegetarian places in this cusine and the Cho Dang location in Torrance is 10/10. Their tofu veggie soup with dumplings paired with the many different type of sides is amazing. Highly recommend any person to try this.

It’s crazy how little this place has changed in the past 20 years. I started coming here in 1998 and the menu is still basically the same. All the Soon Tofu soups are fantastic and come with all the traditional sides. Also if you are vegan / vegetarian then you should try the Dotolee Bibimguksoo which is made up of cold acorn noodles that remind me of Japanese soba noodles but nuttier tossed with vegetables.

Decent food. Not a large menu, which I appreciate. The tofu soup was good and so was the galbi. Spicy isn't actually spicy so you might want to ask for extra spicy if you want spicy. Their sake comes as a bottle. I would've preferred either warm or chilled and not flavored, but that's me being picky.
