This is the largest market in Hue right next to the Royal palace and the Huong river. Go there early in the morning, then, you will see the real activities of the local residents. In here you can purchase everything under the sun, you name it, they sale them there. You’ll find bunches of vegetables that you never knew existed, fishes, fruits, all kind of meats and lots of hot dishes sellers behind the back side of the market. It used have more than 10 kinds of bananas displayed but these days only haft of that on display. Do not forget to visit those fermented seafood stalls, you noise will tell you to get out of there fast.

Very big market and u can find everything here. REMEMBER they hike up price and bargain for everything. I buy a hair color and they tell 100k I paid 70k and walk happily. Later another shop I bargained and buy same product for 40k. 🥹. Purse she say 200k and I bargained for 80k. Be careful of prices specially with old ladies . Have many shop for food too. Even vegetarian

Beware the more than you ordered or the something might seem but not be what you ordered scam, This who I thought was a sweet old lady called me over for a meal, I order pho Bo hue, she brought me beef noodles in a sauce which I thought maybe was how they did it in hue, then as I was eating she threw more meat onto my plate, I started to get confused then she brought more appies that definitely weren’t beef or a type of pho so I said no, my soup came and she tried to charge me for everything I had(fair I guess) but also what I didn’t have and what she threw into my already eaten meal. The video is what I did not eat yet still was getting charged for and the pictures are the lady who did it May her face live here forever

‼️‼️‼️ TIP: PREPARE THE CASH YOU’RE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE ITEM BEFOREHAND, AND DO NOT TAKE OUT YOUR WALLET WITHIN THE STOREKEEPER’S REACH! Be wary and careful when buying things at this market. One of my travel companions agreed on a price of 80,000 VND for two hats with one of the shopkeepers. When she opened her wallet to take out the cash for payment, the shopkeeper snatched 200,000 VND. When we confronted her about it, she kept dodging the question and went back on her word. After a back-and-forth argument for a while to no avail, we decided to just forget it and leave. Lesson learned indeed. Otherwise, it was an experience walking through Hue’s largest market. We saw a lot of shrimp paste that the locals use for their dishes, along with various other local ingredients and goods. The market offers a wide range of items, from local produce and seafood to clothing and souvenirs.

Huge market that is much more for locals vs tourists (as it should be). All kinds of fruits, veg, meats, clothing, jewelry, foods in one big market. A great experience in Hue.
