Chocho

"After forging his style for 15 years, Franco-American chef Thomas Chisholm has set up home at Chocho. The high-ceilinged, rectangular dining room is bright and buzzy – ideal to sample food devoted to sharing and sustainable gastronomy. Ikejime fish, rows of jars and fermentations and agroforestry ingredients add punch to his creative, even playful approach in a conscious bid to mix influences: roast carrots, garlic emulsion, egg yolk powder or red tuna, Corsican lemon and dashi of smoked beetroot…" - Michelin Inspector

An absolutely magnificent meal. We enjoyed the 5 course tasting along with the thoughtfully curated wine pairings. I’m not able to choose a favorite course as they were all magnificent. The depths and layers of flavors were lovely. I could have dipped a whole baguette into the pimento butter with the mackerel, the carrots with the non alcoholic carrot and ginseng cocktail was a delight and the eggnog cocktail with the take on cookies and ice cream took us over the moon. Thank you for an amazing dining experience!

I didn't have a reservation, so I had to sit at the bar. Although it wasn't rush hour and there were plenty of empty seats, even when I left, I was not allowed to take them. The seats at the bar are very uncomfortable. It’s also stuffy there, and there are very strong cooking smells, they just don’t go away. I wanted to eat everything quickly and run away. Apart from that, the service was good and the food was OK. It wasn't very sophisticated, but interesting and creative, and everything was cooked well.

Great experience tonight! I ordered a signature cocktail and a five-course dinner set menu. The sauces on every dish are perfectly matched. Especially the combination of duck meat and mulberry as the main dish is very harmonious and delicious. The desserts are also very attentive. The ice cream and the mixed sauce of various flowers, fruits, vegetables and milk are refreshing. If I have the chance to come to Paris again, I would like to come back and visit Chocho.
