Staff members Kaya and Deni showered my girlfriend and me with superb customer service in an awesome juice café environment. The bowls were made with fresh, high quality ingredients. Their granola is gluten free by default. In fact EVERYTHING is gluten free here, as kindly explained by Deni. Delicious, healthy, clean eating.

Good smoothies and super friendly! Traveling in the area and needed a smoothie to get in my fruits and veggies I was missing. A note about the other review mentioning their milk not being pasteurized - Only dairy milk needs to be pasteurized and they only have oat and almond milk here, which do not need pasteurization to be safe to consume.

Been getting smoothies from Choice for years. I switch between the Carlsbad and downtown locations. The smoothies with peanut butter added are so good. I got the coffee buzz with peanut butter added, protein brownie and eco suntuna sushi roll. As a gluten free vegan I love the baked goods like the little muffins. Really everything I’ve gotten is so good, I don’t really have complaints. The Superhero smoothie and Coffee Buzz are my faves!

Choice Juicery is the only vegan place in San Diego downtown at time of writing this so we decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Unfortunately, the customer service was a bit uninterested so we just ended up picking two salads from the displayed ones. Both of them were dry and made almost entirely of lettuce. They didn't taste great in all honesty. Not a very positive experience overall, and there are definitely better vegan places in San Diego.

Located in Little Italy . This shop is great way to start the morning. I really like the smoothie and the fruity bowl. As soon you enter the shop, you can smell fresh fruits and vegetables. The interior is very cute and clean too.

Stopped in here after working out and was so happy I did. I was there slightly before they opened and the lady behind the counter happily let me order early. The Acai Bowl I got was fantastic and tasted very good. I strongly reccomend this place if you are a vegan or enjoy a healthy meal.

I was excited to try their Pb&J smoothie bowl, drawn in by the presentation. While the visual appeal was good, the experience took a nosedive from there. The bowl was filled with an unexpected amount of ice - large pieces that I found myself crushing through with every bite. This made it challenging to truly enjoy the bowl. Even more disappointing was the taste of the smoothie base itself, which didn't live up to my expectations.

None of their milk is pasteurized. This should 100% be clearly stated both in store, on your website, and in the ordering platform. Extremely disappointed and will not be throwing away my $12 smoothie. Pasteurization kills bacteria!!!!!!!

Bottom line: efficient services leads to low crowd, relaxed setting, FLAMEY smoothies. vibez: located in downtown on India between Ash and Beech, sits the small shop on the street level. Not overly modern inside, the shop is mostly straight business (fitting, it is near many professional businesses). Smoothies: in a word, FLAMEY. It's the love and care that goes into the smoothie that make it special. Example: the the mint chip, the first blend seemed to be for the protein powder, spinach, and house made almond milk. The second blend was the frozen banana. The last blend was the cacao nibs. Three blends! Perfect consistency. Other items: banana bread muffin was super moist and flavorful, peanut butter powerballs are a the right level of sweetness and are filling, kelp noodle Thai salad was a great lunch. Magic matcha latte was maybe too milky for me but did have me buzzing with efficiency!

I wished this place was more accessible. As in it's in the middle of Little Italy and hard to find parking and get here on a regular basis. Its a nice place that has super engaging people who are naturally bubbly and inviting. The place is all white and erriely clean which sounds silly because you want your place to be clean. They have a lot of options here that will feed your body and soul. They have enough product that you can reset your taste buds and body in 1, 3, or 5 days and more depending on your goals. Food wise, they have taco salads, hummus platter, power bowls etc. They have craft milks for example alpha chai oat milk which has their house made oat milk, alpha chai elixir, date, agave, and their housemade ginger powder. They have teas, juices, smoothies and bowls as well. I came in and grabbed a cold-pressed juice. The truly madly green hit the spot! I have this place circled on my list of places to revisit because there's so much to offer and I want to try it all. Glad this place exists.

Service here was so friendly. The girl working behind the counter was so sweet and had great recommendations. The smoothies were good, just a bit powdery. I don't know if I would come again, but props to having such amazing workers. The best part about coming here!

I've been to a few Choice Juicery spots around San Diego and years ago, met their founder, Nastasha McKeon back when their first location was just getting started. I love supporting businesses that make you feel good and do good for your mind, body, and the planet. Nastasha's story is seriously inspiring, but to keep it short and sweet: follow your dreams, chase your passion, and if things get uncomfortable, lean in and it probably means you're doing something right. Growth isn't supposed to be easy. The Little Italy location? Prime real estate for post-workout fuel. After a sweat session, I was on a mission for something light and refreshing and honestly this place was calling my name! The quality? Spot on. The customer service? Also a win. The young lady behind the counter was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The interior was super cute and there was enough space to sit, sip, and play a large block game of Jenga!! I even ran into a fellow vegan friend! Small world! It was a chill vibe and this establishment wasn't as busy on a weekday afternoon. I was able to quench my thirst quickly! They've got all the goodies: acai bowls, smoothies, superfood snacks, pre-made meals, juice cleanses and all your health-nut desires! For the price, I personally think it's worth it! My Choice green drink was in a glass bottle and if you return the bottle you get .50 off your next purchase! Mother Earth says thanks! Win-win!! My green juice contained my favs: Spinach, Cucumber, Kale, Celery, Apple, Lemon, Ginger..don't knock it until you try it! Bottom line: you leave feeling healthier, happier, and glowier?! LOL! Adulting at its finest! Definitely swing by if you're in the area! Your body and taste buds will thank you!

Choice is my favorite smoothie bar in SD! This location was a tad more run down than the others, however the product and service was still fantastic. I opted for the Avatar smoothie and my boyfriend got the Pb&J bowl with banana bread. We would probably pass on the banana bread next time, it just tasted like dates, but the smoothies were great and sooo aesthetic looking!

Açaí Bowl and Avocado Toast was great for a quick breakfast! I did feel it was lacking some flavor on the Açaí but it was probably Because I didn't order everything I usually put on it! Service was quick and nice place to just have a quick bite! I will return!

Really cute spot! Outdoor seating and really good smoothies. The cashier recommended adding strawberry chia seed jam to my strawberry smoothie and it was perfection. They give creat recs!

Stop by here after my gym workout to get a fresh juice. They had a decent selection of fresh juices and lots of other food options like açai bowls, and some salad and some protein cookies which I liked a lot. I got a celery juice that they had already premade in a bottle juice. Overall, good place, I really didn't like the bottle in which celery juice came in, it was more of a jar and not a bottle.

Love the sweet little note with my Acai bowl. All of the smoothies can be made into a bowl, and 2 toppings were included with my order. I chose blueberries and banana slices, but they have more fruit options and granola. I'm happy with size, quality, and value with my bowl. They have lots of healthy options and juices and are even offering their version of a shamrock shake at the moment. The space itself is small but open with plenty of seating and a clean anesthetic to match their clean recipes.

I love acai and wanted to try a different place. It was only okay and didn't give me the wow factor. I would say the Pb&J smoothie is definitely one of a kind. So I recommend getting that. I feel the flavors weren't as flavorful. But it definitely tasted healthy. I give it that.

My partner and I frequent here often, and have almost drunk through many of their smoothies and hot drink offerings!I love their dry mixes and buy them to have their hot drinks at home. Their broccoli soup is especially my favorite, and I'm looking forward to them kickstarting their seasonal soup offerings soon. Taco salad is my fav go-to salad from here. I'm admittedly not a big juice person and only drink any that is used in their drinks, but my partner likes their juices as is. The seating area holds a a few small groups inside and outside. Wish they had a compost bin like in their San Clemente location. Very friendly service, the affirmations on the smoothie cups are always sweet, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into making these healthy and delicious food options and smoothies!

Tried this place recently for the first time. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. Helped us understand the menu and how to order. The menu is extensive IMO. Lots to read and understand. But this is a good thing! Need to know what ware putting into your body. So I had an açaí bowl and immunity shot. Everything was delicious! I added agave to my bowl. The almond butter was amazing, the açaí blend was delicious and the right texture. Not frozen solid not super liquid. The vibes here were cool. I'd choose this place again! Try it!

Service is always amazing and warming. I've been here a few times and grabbed their superfood snacks and every time they're on point.

Very hip juice bar in DTSD. I ordered the best seller and it did have a weird taste because of the super boost. Not for me but if you care about that stuff give it a try. Service was okay, they took my order and brought it out along with some other customers. Made it a bit confusing because someone almost grabbed my drink. Ambiance is also okay, it's in downtown so the outdoor seating smelled a bit but the inside was nice with a few tables to sit at

Service was slow. Took too long for one acai bowl. Acai needed more flavor. Ambiance is nice but that is all.

Choice is awesome, and I always feel healthier after getting a drink, smoothie, salad, or snack there. I like how kind many of the people who work at Choice are and appreciate their attentiveness in including an affirmation in the smoothies. It's a nice comfy place to visit and enjoy their drinks and food as a way to practice self-care.

Sad u can't use cash no where anymore makes no sense but I bet if your system was down and you couldn't process any payments, you would sure take cash Cash will always be around. I don't understand they have all these laws for everything, but they can't make businesses take cash.

immediately felt welcomed and was greeted with a delicious shot and great vibes. Our family got 5 (all diff) smoothies and an order of avocado toast - so tasty!! The staff was so cool and helpful. We will be back when in SD (India St location)

This place is so so good! Been here a couple of times - I go the juice that's already packaged, the baked sweets (to die for!), the taco salad to go and a few smoothies. Everything was delicious!

Love this smoothie, juice and vegan food cafe! It can be hard to find healthy vegan options. This place was super yummy. I got the vegan ceasar salad. It could've benefited from more lettuce and wish it was bigger in size for the price, or had option for a larger salad size. My spouse got the avocado toast which he said was delicious. And kiddo got the sushi which he devoured: just note the sushi has a jalapeño pepper slice in top if you are spice averse. We each got our own smoothie: PBJ (delicious), me the acai vitality (loved it) and Warrior smoothie for spouse which was also delicious! Service: friendly and very quick! They even write friendly, affirming notes on the smoothie to-go cup like "You are loved!" And "Happy new year 2025!" Ambiance: clean, warm cafe. Chairs comfy, bathroom very clean. We will definitely be back!! We love a great vegan cafe!

I should have gotten a smoothie based on other reviews here. I was hungry and feeling devoid of nutrients after a long week at a conference, so I did find choice as an oasis like others mentioned! so, although the kale caesar was pretty dry and not really substantial beside fiber and vitamins, it was better than anything else I could think of in the walkable vicinity. served as a great inspiration to substitute croutons with roasted chickpeas. will probably go with a protein smoothie next time! unfortunately, cannot escape the smells of the street at the location in san diego.

Wandering around Little Italy; not wanting coffee, I happened upon this spot. Without checking my review for the Carlsbad location, I'll set this one at a solid 4 stars. I love the peanut butter and jelly smoothie; it has house-made raspberry chia jelly. I opted for the almond milk (I'm glad they offered it instead of defaulting to the oat milk). I didn't order anything else but I know the Caesar salad is amazing. This particular location is clean, well-stocked, has indoor and outdoor seating, and a nice vibe. This place is pricey; the drink was 12$ including the tip but with the current inflation, it's becoming close to the norm I guess. The girl working was chipper and super friendly! She dressed my cup with a lovely message. Overall, I am quite satisfied. I'm not sure I recommend this place for anything besides a drink as there's so many other, better places to eat at in the area. Pros: - awesome ingredients - whole, real, raw food - super friendly - better stocked than the Carlsbad location - clean, beautiful restroom (that's rare for the area) Cons: - parking situation - pricey!!

Excellent smoothie! Place offers all gluten-free, dairy free, non-GMO, and vegan! Service is fast. Excellent customer service. Nice music playing. Nice shop.

Choice is an oasis in the world of processed food. Cold pressed juice in glass bottles, which is better for our bodies as well as the planet, is a unicorn in the world of juice, and is the only way juice should be bottled if you're health conscious. Thanks for doing it right, Choice. I love everything they serve: from their juices to smoothies that can also be made into a bowl to their salads, that can also be made into a gluten free wrap. My favorite is their Mediterranean Salad which often sells out. Their aesthetic is modern and clean with their menu being easy to understand and their staff welcoming. If I were a juice bar, I'd wanna be Choice when I grow up!

I came in to try their juice and to have a light meal. I ordered the Choice Greens juice and Avocado Toast. The overall quality of my order was very good. The juice tasted very fresh and just slightly sweet which was perfect. The avocado toast was served on gluten free bread with a side salad. The bread was one of the best gluten free breads I have tasted so I bought a loaf of the bread which is called Superloaf. The portion size of the Avocado toast was great for a light meal. I wasn't too hungry since I had been sampling at the Farmer's Market which was a few blocks away. The portion size of the juice was decent but the juice itself was not worth the price. I think that the glass jar container with the store logo was nice but unnecessary if it's going to add much more to the cost of the drink. For this reason alone, even though I really enjoyed their juice, I would not return. The jar is worth keeping but as I am trying to declutter I recycled my jar. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and think they have very good quality food and drinks.

We usually go to the Carlsbad location and we're excited to find this location by little Italy. Great selection of fresh juices with many ingredients. The beet chia was tasty and came loaded with chia seeds. Not cheap but you're investing in your body so yolo.

Tatianna is a gem! I stopped by for my green juice and she went above and beyond to educate me on their drinks and custom make a smoothie that I would enjoy!

24 minute wait for one acai bowl. Employees forgot about my order with no other customers inside. Açaí tasted like ice. 0 out of 5 would not return or recommend

I am typically not a fan of "healthy" smoothies. But, I have a bad cold, so when I passed by Choice Superfood Bar I decided to give it a try. I asked the person at the counter to recommend the best smoothie to boost my immune system. She suggested the Warrior. I checked out the ingredients, and they certainly seemed very healthy. But, as someone who is not big on veggies, would I be able to get it all down without gagging? As I watched her blend the smoothie, I became even more concerned. It was turning a very deep green. I think my face was turning a little green also, so she assured me I would like the taste. I saw her write something on my cup and then she handed me the finished product. I figuratively and literally "sucked it up." Not bad at all! In fact, it tasted really good! It must have been the banana and the almond butter that beautifully masked the flavor of the hard core veggies. And, made it rich and thick. I enjoyed every sip, and felt much better about myself. When I finished the smoothie I noticed what she had written. "You are a blessing on earth." What a very nice touch! I went back to Choice to let her know how much I enjoyed the smoothie. She was so enthusiastic about the brand, it was infectious. I bought a pumpkin muffin because she recommended it so highly. It did not disappoint. I may just become a regular. And, who knows, maybe I won't get any more colds!

I work around the corner from this place so I decided to try it for the first time on my lunch break. I figured this would be one of the quicker options in the area as I only get a 30 minute break. I ordered a smoothie bowl and by the time I got it I only had 6 minutes left on my break. Maybe this is the norm here, but it's just not what I was expecting. The workers were super nice, but spending $16 on a bowl that took forever to make wasn't worth it to me.

First time here for sisters and I as it was recommended and walking distance from our hotel. When we first entered there was no one else in the shop and one worker (Juliana). We took a minute to order as the menu is super small but they did have a QR code that shows some but not all of the options. I ordered the PB&J with no jam sub pb & banana. One sister ordered the Superhero and the other ordered the same but as a bowl. Both were pleased. My drink was good also but could've been a tad sweeter although obviously I wasn't here for a milkshake. Okay so our main issue was the lack of hand washing. Granted the crowd literally picked up minutes after we entered and Juliana was doing the best she could, neither she nor her co-worker who rushed in pulling her hair back washed their hands before making the drinks/bowls. I will admit I did not initially notice this but my sister did and softly asked that she wash her hands which she apologized for and did. She commented that she forgot. I do understand when things get hectic and you have people standing in front of you, one may want to just get to working but hand washing is basic food handling. Then all of a sudden after making several drinks, she put gloves on. Again, she had already washed her hands once asked but I just don't understand how/why that would not be the first thing to come to mind before you get ready to prepare something for someone to eat/drink especially when you're handling money. Seemed to be a bit of an attitude change after that. Overall, again the drinks were cool but I wouldn't rush back.

I stumbled open Choice 3 years ago in Carlsbad and tried out the PBJ smoothie! Now I work near the Little Italy location and it's nice to have some healthy alternatives in the area! The raspberry chia jam is incredible - the smoothie is definitely filling - and sometimes i substitute almond milk with oat milk. I've tried their avocado toast at this location and the pumpkin muffin - the muffin was just ehh, it was too moist and not what I expected, however the flavor was good.

Popped into Choice Superfoods bar & Juicery as I was exploring San Diego. I was craving chocolate, but wanted a healthier option than a coffee and croissant. The girls working there were very knowledgeable and helpful. I got the Superhero chocolate smoothie and added peanut butter. It was delicious, organic and healthy. The use only certified organic, GF, DF, 100% plant based ingredients. I definitely recommend this spot for smoothies and bowls.

Come here if you want to wait 30 minutes for an Acai bowl. Guy working as slow as molasses.

This place is amazing and my absolute favorite when visiting SD. Living in LA I have tried my fair share of smoothies and bowls but I always crave Choice. Not only are the bowls delicious and vegan but the staff is so nice! The place is very cute and gives a nice relaxing vibe to enjoy a smoothie, coffee, bowl, or bite to eat any time of the day!

Love the chai tea, but better options if you want a smoothie bowl. The basic acai is a reasonable price and there are lots of optional mix-ins and toppings, but there's an up-charge for each one. It can end up pretty pricy if you want something that is really flavorful and filling .The bowl itself was really runny, more of a drink than a bowl.

Came in before they closed on Sunday 12/15 and the guy working was super sweet! Thanks for the excellent service and açaí bowl!

Need to tread yo self? Choice is my go for a self care day. I'm not kidding when I say the PB&J smoothie is one of my all time favorite smoothies. Even me, an at-home smoothie master, can't recreate this masterpiece. The all natural ingredients from almond milk to the protein powder and even the almond butter is what makes this smoothie worth the price! Their banana nut muffins are also to die for. You HAVE to try Choice if you are in San Diego!

Little Italy Choice Organic Smoothy. I'm excited to try it they have lots of Smoothy, Elixir Choices. I'm trying the PB and J seems to be popular. As well as the avocado toast and the Chunky Monkey Toast. I noticed that the farmers mkt there is a vendor selling the avocado toast and it cost more. So I'm excited to try it out here. I like the windows are wide open and the breeze comes in the small seating area. It's comfortable and the staff is nice and helpful.

Anytime my girlfriend and I craved a smoothie we would come here but not after today. We ordered the mint chip and avatar. First sip of both revealed a clearly incorrect ratio of ingredients.. the mint chip left a NyQuil taste in my mouth and the avatar was absolutely disgusting like drinking straight algae. After watching the guy who ordered after us throw away his half full açaí bowl after a few bites we realized it wasn't just us and decided we'd just ask a refund. Especially since we both took 2 sips each and we clearly didn't want this girl remaking anything. The employee who made our drinks offered to remake them, we said no thank you so she said she can do the refund but needs to call her manager to ask how to do it. After a couple minutes of explaining the situation to the manager, we were informed there policy states they do not refund drinks and instead offered to re-make our drinks again. We once again said no thank you and decided to leave our drinks outside for one of the neighborhoods several homeless residents to enjoy.. or not.

This place is wilddddd. I ordered a smoothie bowl online that was $11... they didn't include any toppings just the base. I dont know if that's normal .. if it is like I said this place wild $11 for a small smoothie in a bowl, that's crazy. Super disappointed in this location.

Overpriced, poor serving sizes. We stumbled across this place as my husband was craving a fruit bowl. Every little topping (which is more like a sprinkle) was $1/$1.5 extra. $13 for was was mostly smoothie and no topping. The cashier was not helpful and seemed clueless about what they served. Regretful purchase for sure.

This is so disappointing. Choice is such a terrific place, but they have clearly cut staff, which has lead to very long delays.

I recommend the hot sunrise . Repeat! Summer in a mason jar - so good ! Always a good to in little Italy my fave juice bar in town .

I could not leave a review without first tasting this Acai Vitality smoogie. The manager who will remain nameless mainly because I neglected to ask, coerced or suggested I add the Choice made chocolate syrup (should be called "decadence"). That tipped the scale from great to uber-ville great.
