Google
This is truly my favorite Korean spot in College Station. I come here once or twice a week with my roommates, family, and friends, and I’ve never had a bad meal. And it’s been a year since I discovered Chois. Their tteok mandu guk is my personal comfort dish, but honestly every soup and stew here is amazing. It’s warm, cozy, homey Korean food that feels like it was made with so much care. They have a huge variety, so everyone I bring always finds something they love. I recommend this place to anyone who wants real Korean food! About the wait time: the food usually takes around 30-45 minutes, but that’s because they are clearly working hard in the back and making everything properly. I think it’s completely reasonable. It’s the type of place where you come in knowing you’ll have time to talk and settle in before your meal. I eat a lot of Korean food in Bellaire, and I really feel like I have a say when I say this place is special. I love it so much. I also want to say the owners are so sweet!!! I haven’t had a single bad dish here. I really wish I had more photos, but I love all their food. There are so many nice things I could say about this place. I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without stopping by at least once a week!!!

I know everyone has their own experiences when it comes to dining out. I had one of the best ones, it’s a shame that I was the only person to eat inside today 10/13/2025 and I gotta say I enjoyed it regardless. I ordered the Fish Cake Udon, the Fried Bulgogi Gimbap and an Iced Tea. It being a Mom and Pop shop, I knew there would be a wait and I think understanding that not everything perfect comes on time makes me glad my patience is instilled in me because it was well with the wait. I had just gotten off work and was craving something filling but good all around. I cannot stress this enough that it filled me up in general and with warmth that I can’t wait till I’m able to visit again! Best meal I’ve had in years and I don’t know Korean so I tried using my translation app to let the wonderful lady working know that I appreciated the meal and i appreciated her hard work! Thank you guys so much! 🙏🏽☺️

Google
I love this restaurant so much!! I come here multiple times a month with my roommate and I’ve never had a negative experience. The owners are so sweet and the food is absolutely delicious. It is made to order, so you should expect to wait a bit, but this just means that the food you get is nice and fresh. I get the kimchi jjigae and I highly recommend it. I can’t say enough good things about this place!!

K. T.

Google
Came here a few times now. We ordered Sotteok Sotteok (lil smokies with Korean rice cake skewers is spicy and interestingly delicious), Gimbap (sushi was ok), grilled bulgogi (very tender and delicious), garlic fried rice (lots of bacon and delicious), Kimchi Jjigae (kimchee stew is a bit tangy, but it's packed with lots of kimchee and pork and super refreshing), and the kimchee pancake (awesome crust and texture plus it tastes delicious). Other times, we ordered the bulgogi, kalbi, and the tteokbokki. All their food was delicious. Overall, the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. We just moved here from Hawaii and I was worried that l'd only eat smoked BBQ or something like that lol, but it's nice to know that restaurants that sell Asian foods are available in this city. The young male waiter was super friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at and lots of parking.

Hannah S.

Google
You will wait over an hour for your food and it will not come at the same time. They are a mom and pop shop and expect that when you dine here. I watched them cook, they only cook 1 thing at a time. Parallelism is not being executed. The food was ok. The short rib portion for $17 was a scam. It was 5 small pieces that were chewy!! They were clearly not marinated for long enough. The mackerel was good. The ox tail soup was mid. Soft tofu soup was fine but not excellent. I will not come back because I value my time. The food was ok but it wasn’t out of this world. You have better options in college station that will not take over an hour after you order.

S s

Google
The kimbap was delicious, but the other dishes were just mediocre. We had to wait almost an hour for only two items to come out. The dining tables were sticky, and the restroom was dirty and definitely in need of remodeling. The male owner also talked a lot unnecessarily, which made the experience less pleasant.

Daniela H.

Google
Food was so delicious, and they were very kind! I recommend getting the Jjampong, it was full of flavor and slightly spicy. Amazing place, we loved it!

Brandon L.

Google
Used to go here for takeout back during COVID days, and have since then come back to dine in. Very glad to see it’s still popular, as it’s one of the best Korean restaurants for the price. They have all the authentic dishes, and I especially like the Aggie specials. They have a great lunch special offering as well. The dining area is small, but they give you all the expected sides and the family owning the shop is very nice. Definitely would be a go to spot if it was open for dining back in my college days.

Yelp
This nook of a spot is so warming and cozy, perfect for a cold day. The service to get our food was really slow but it's only because they don't have a lot of people working. The food is really good, this soup came out steaming and was perfect. Overall, I would go again and i recommend.
google avatar

Garret F.

Yelp
A very mom and pop restaurant you go and take the good with the bad and still enjoy your experience. With move in week in full force they were quite overwhelmed with a decent amount of business all at once. Food took a while but when it came out it was smokin' hot (temperature) and delicious. We weren't in a hurry so all was good. Cant wait to try more stuff on my next visit.

Yelp
Choi's is probably my favorite Korean restaurant in College Station. The ambiance is always very homey and relaxing. It's a comfortable setting and is never too crowded. The service is always pretty quick and the servers are kind. I love the side dishes they provide, especially the kimchi and fish tofu. I usually get the soondubu jjigae and have never been disappointed. My friends and I tried the seafood pancake this time and I was pleasantly surprised! Super crispy and flavorful, with lots of scallions and seafood! Choi's is always dependable and I can't wait to order the seafood pancake again!
google avatar

Kasey N.

Yelp
Choi's Restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! Honestly, I didn't expect Korean food this good, especially in College Station! We ordered the seafood pancake, and it was crispy, flavorful, and just delicious. I got the jajangmyeon. The jajangmyeon was yum -- chewy noodles covered in a rich black bean sauce that was both savory and slightly sweet. The portion was generous, and the sauce had just the right balance, clinging to every noodle perfectly. If you're a noodle lover, this is a must-try. We also tried a variety of dishes like gamjatang, soondobujigae, and tangsuyuk, and let me tell you--each one was a hit. The pictures I've shared speak for themselves, but seriously, you've got to try them all. Everything had that homemade, comforting feel, and the environment made it even better. I went with a group of friends, and we all agreed that this is the kind of spot you'd want to visit after a long, tiring day or when you're feeling down because the food is just that comforting. It has that small, cozy vibe--almost like walking into a family-run place that's been serving the same amazing dishes for years. It's definitely one of those places where you leave feeling happy and satisfied. The service was also great--quick, friendly, and efficient. Our food came out hot and fresh despite how busy it was. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we got, which is always a plus. The restaurant itself is small, which adds to its charm, but I'd recommend coming in a group of six or fewer, as anything larger might feel cramped. All in all, Choi's Restaurant has officially become my new go-to spot in College Station. I can't wait to go back and try more of what they offer--there's still so much I haven't explored on their menu. If you're in town or just passing through, you have to give this place a try. Let's keep supporting these amazing small businesses that offer such delicious, comforting food!

Yelp
Came here for the first time since our first time. We ordered the bulgogi, kalbi, gimbap, and the tteokbokki. All their food was delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. The young male waiter was super friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at and lots of parking.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Just ok. The owners are nice and it seemed they were the only ones managing the place, so all the tables were left with dishes (They're hiring btw). The food was also decent and price range was reasonable. Definitely giving homemade-ish but not super authentic either. Environment is comfy, nothing crazy. Worth a try if u want Korean food!
google avatar

Catalina M.

Yelp
This was the best Korean restaurant I've been to in forever! The food was rich, delicious and filling, the kimchi stew was amazing, I loved the taste. The food makes my mouth water by just thinking about it! The service was amazing. The environment was very homey and felt very comfortable. Everything about the restaurant was amazing and I will be going back!

Nikki S.

Yelp
The food was flavorful and filling, though the dishes tend to be on the salty side. I had the seafood pancake (5/5), tteokbokki (4/5), and tuna kimchi jjigae (5/5). The servings are large and good for sharing.
google avatar

Nina K.

Yelp
Enjoyed this cute local Korean spot in college station. It's a small family-run restaurant with a good selection of Korean food. I really liked the budae jjigae and banchan.
google avatar

Ana G.

Yelp
The food was very good. Love the Kim chi pancake. The Kim chi fried rice looked so good but we didn't get to order it. There was only 1 waitstaff...the poor guy worked so hard!
google avatar

Kristian E.

Yelp
I came back on hubby's request. Food is delicious, although service is slow. Grilled bulgogi, spicy stir fried pork, crispy spicy chicken.

Anonymous R.

Yelp
Get the kimchi jjigae!!! Everything on their menu is just so good. The price to portion is amazing as well.

Michelle H.

Yelp
The waiter got the wrong order, the sellongtang that I waited for 20 mins is definitely made by some powder. Food tasting becomes worse and worse.

Blaine H.

Yelp
I saw someone say it felt like a home cooked meal, and I couldn't agree more. The service was great and the menu (to me) felt pretty broad allowing there to be something for everyone. I've lived in Cstat for 6 years and never stumbled upon this place until today. I will definitely be back
google avatar

Cassie C.

Yelp
This is a small family run restaurant. The old couple are such hard working people who really care for their customers. Even with nonstop online orders coming in, they made sure we had our drinks and side dishes. The food here is amazing. It tastes great and I keep coming back and it's definitely worth the wait for how good all the dishes and side dishes are.

Mischa W.

Yelp
It is a small family place, but it is about as authentic as it gets. We have been there several times now and have chosen different menu items each time during Corp of Cadet/Aggie events. We have never been disappointed in either the service or the food. Top noch and absolutely delicious. We look forward to going every time we go down to College Station.
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Japchae was a decent portion for the price, and the flavor was not bad. However, beef ribs and bulgogi were the size of lunch specials at high dinner prices! The ribs were also a bit tough, and bulgogi was average in taste. Side dishes included kimchi (over ripe), soy sauce potatoes, fish cakes, and spicy cucumbers. I prefer stronger flavors, so the sides were somewhat bland to me.

Noemie G.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews but I have to be honest. I got the Budae Jjiigae and it looked good at first then I saw how filthy the portable stove top was and lost my appetite. The flavor wasn't there, it was really bland. There were 3 customers in the restaurant including myself, not once did I get a refill or asked how I was doing.. the lady passed me like 5+. I didn't eat nearly even half. I paid for my food & left dissatisfied but more so disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Choi's is my favorite Korean restaurant in College Station. I've been coming here for years and the quality and taste has remained the same. I love taking friends and family here because it's always amazing. The owners are super friendly as well. My favorite dish is the kimchi jigae.

Yelp
Before I graduated this place was how I survived college. I would come here 3-4 times a week so I basically tried almost all the dishes. The food here was always made fresh and with a lot of care that I never worried about the food ever being poor quality. Even when I graduated I would crave the taste when I go to other Korean restaurants in Houston. This weekend I was lucky enough to visit Choi's again and I'm so happy that nothing has changed! This restaurant is and always will be my favorite restaurant in college station! Here are a review of some of my favorite dishes.. Tangsyuk: The tangsyuk here is really made different from any other korean restaurant. The batter they use makes every bite crispy but at the same time soft - I don't know how that's possible! Then when you dip it in this warm, sweet & sour sauce (with a very slight hint of pepper) it comes with, it becomes the perfect bite. I promise. Be careful to not get too excited and burn your mouth cause the tangsyuk is so fresh, it's piping hot! Rabokki: mmmmm the rabokki.. I still have dreams about the sauce they use with it. The sauce has this multi flavored taste: sweet, creamy and spicy. Added with ramen which is very fresh and so perfectly textured. The white onions, fish cake, and ttbokki just all work so well together. And lastly it comes with egg that I always small bites out of in between bites to even out all the other explosive taste. Grilled samgpseol: this is the only place that actually makes the pork belly slightly crispy (but not crunchy) and I love it! I hate it when my pork belly still has that meaty taste. I always make a wrap with it which includes... the lettuce, rice on top, kimchi, pork belly and the the bean paste sauce they include. Literally the perfect bite and I always tell my friends when I'm eating my pork belly from Choi's, I am the happiest. Grilled bulgogi/ grilled bulgogi kimbap: I use to always order the grilled bulgogi because the price for the amount I get is perfect for a college student. Then I would dip it in the bean paste sauce that you dip the samgpseol with (you have to ask for it) and it elevates the whole experience. I personally get tired of one flavor all the time so dipping it in the sauce changes up the taste for me. Then when I found out they use the grilled bulgogi in kimbap too (basically a korean sushi roll) I had to try it. Of course it lived up to all my expectations. The roll had so many flavors that complimented the meat wonderfully and it's super filling! If you're in a rush to study or to get to class, this is the perfect dish to order to eat on the go. If you want to elevate it, then ask for my favorite sauce (bean paste sauce) and it will be a bite to die for. Overall, Choi's will be the BEST restaurant to go to if you want affordable and amazing food!!

Yelp
I've been here 4 times now, and every single time have had an incredible experience. It's a quaint establishment, so expect homely personality, not elegance. The quality of food is unbelievable, and the portion sized aren't small. There's a variety of food they offer, and I think it's all reasonably priced. I've had their Gimbap, Tteokbokki, Seafood Pancake, Jeyuk Bokkeum, Japchae, and sides, but I'm eager to try out every item on the menu. I'm a fan of the selection of sides, they all taste fresh. The only problems you'll have here are if you don't like a dish in its peak form, because that's what they serve.
google avatar

Avery L.

Yelp
My favorite Korean joint in College Station. Locally owned and operated. It has some of the best short ribs I've ever had. Service was a little slow, but definitely worth the wait. Small, cozy vibes all around.
google avatar

Sunhee K.

Yelp
It is fantastic! Took a while but it was worth it. I got kimchi jjigae and it was awesome, and my hubby got DakDoritang and he fell in love. A++

Meredith W.

Yelp
Great food! Very kind service - they're low on staff so be patient! This was my first time having Korean cuisine, and certainly not my last. The gimbap was delicious, bulgogi beef flavored so well. I LOVED the black bean noodles so much!
google avatar

Genevieve M.

Yelp
My favorite thing about Choi's is how you can buy uncooked koreanbbq meats like galbi, bulgogi and pork belly! My friends and I usually split it and get to do a fun KBBQ night at home. Additionally, once they open up the restaurant fully again, the kimchi fried rice, hot pot, and gimbap are some of my favorites to eat there. I will definitely miss Choi's once I graduate!
google avatar

Gladys A.

Yelp
I love this place!! Almost every dish comes with a lot of tiny sides that are amazing! The chef in the back is a very kind man. I asked for steamed dumplings and they gave me fried dumplings by mistake. I didn't even say anything to anybody because I was gonna eat regardless, yet the chef still came out and apologized himself!! I thought that was sooo sweet and the food was good too!
google avatar

Aldo S.

Yelp
I've been staying at CS for 6 yrs and this place is the best korean restaurant out of the three IMO. It just has a stronger flavor overall which I love. It might take a slightly longer time during peak hours, but its all well worth it ! The couple owners are very nice too, they sometimes give me extra Kimchi cause they know I like em. Their spicy pork and Tangsuyuk is a must ! Its not that spicy and its very savory. Their Kimchi is also my fav, its fresh and I usually buy the 0.5 gallon Kimchi to take home. If you feel like soup, you should go for the Gamjatang, Yukgaejang, or Samgyetang. This place has the best flavor among other restaurants IMO, would definitely recommend it !
google avatar

Sophia S.

Yelp
I went here for lunch with a few friends since I've heard good things about it. Between the four of us, we got two orders of bulgogi and bibimbap and decided to share. The bulgogi was decent, but it didn't have as many veggies as I'd like. It had good flavor and was a small portion, but then again you can expect that with lunch specials. The bibimbap was delicious, packed with veggies, and a huge amount - definitely what I'll be coming back for. My only complaint with this place is that our bills were weird. Even though we got two bulgogi and two bibimbap, all of our checks were for different amounts. Since COVID happened I try not to cause a fuss over these kinds of things, but it was an odd experience. Nevertheless, we'll be back!

Timothy M.

Yelp
Great food and great prices. I wanted to order a dessert or something after but wasn't given the opportunity to inquire, hence 4/5 stars. Worth a stop though!

Nina M.

Yelp
I love Choi's! They have amazing food. Their army stew is absolutely to die for. The last time I went I had kimchi fried rice, it was also amazing. Everything I try exceeds my expectations.

Yelp
Korean restaurants can be a) expensive and a waste of money, b) dirt cheap and godawful, or c) cheap and decent or d) utterly magnificent - a destination find. Choi's is c) cheap and decent. Fine for an everyday meal. In this case, conscientiousness and thrift rule. * * * Conscientiousness. Choi's has obtained three "100" grades in a row from the Brazos County Restaurant inspectors. Those inspections are tough as hell. Good places get grades in the 90's. Lots of places get grades in the 80's. Getting three 100's in a row almost never happens. So this is quite the monument to careful attention to proper food handling procedure. * * * Thrift. Choi's does not waste money. The walls have not been painted in ages. The meat is perfectly fine, but it is an economy cut. They do tricks in the kitchen to give the economy cut flavor. The tricks basically work. Their thrift means savings for you. * * * This is not a legendary twelve star Korean restaurant in Los Angeles. But for College Station utility, this is reasonable eating at a good price. I left happy.

Yelp
A great local Korean spot in town that will surely take you to the "Land of Morning Calm" through their authentic taste and family-feel! I lived in Korea for 18+ years so my standard for Korean food is pretty high! This place really made its way to the top of the list as they offer all the local dishes I miss, and not just your typical Kimchi Fried Rice or Gimbap Roll... but also Gamjatang, Budae Jjigae, and Grilled Samgyeopsal! I called ahead to ensure that they were doing dine-in, and they were! We walked in and were greeted right away by the nicest host/server girl ever! And she had a table set up for us already. It was the sweetest. The menu was very basic and straight-to-the-point. No pictures. I had no issue as I'm well-versed in Korean food, but my friend who hasn't had Korean before had no idea where to start! I hope that eventually, they'd add descriptions to the dishes or feature some pictures of their popular dishes. I chose to get a Beef Gimbap Roll and Tteokbokki (rice cakes in spicy sauce) as a starter, and the Beef Bulgogi entree. The wait was a bit long on the food, a couple people came in and picked up to-go orders as we were waiting. But when the food did come... Everything tasted amazing and really took me back to Seoul! The sauces were on-point and surely authentic. YUM! If I'm ever back in College Station, I'll definitely be stopping by again to enjoy more of their other dishes! Thank you for operating during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Yelp
Did takeout twice now and love this place. Food is delicious and there are so many options. This is definitely on our rotation list now.

Yelp
I walked in 30 minutes before closing on a Friday night. The waitress was cleaning tables (albeit very slowly because she was too busy on her phone at the same time). She looked at me as I walked in, obviously bothered, and asked "are you going to order", in a disgusted "how dare you" tone. I said yes, feeling very unwelcome (and a little awkward at that point). She came up to the counter to take my order, obviously bothered that I dared interrupt her texting... I mean cleaning. As I asked questions about the menu, I got short answers from an angry face and sometimes even no answers. She was rushing to charge me after I ordered my first menu item, even though it was clear I wanted to order more items. I left it at two items, between the angry face and tone, the being rushed to pay and short answers, because I was over it at that point and just want to get my food and leave. No wonder the South American restaurant next door had customers at this hour and this one didn't! Makes sense now. I guess this little girl is killing your business. ‍
google avatar

Jenny W.

Yelp
My previous experiences have been great, but for the last month I have gotten below par quality food. As usual I ordered the soondubu jiggae, or seafood tofu soup, and when it arrived I noticed the broth was a lot thinner. It tasted rather bland and lacked the seafood flavor and spiciness. I thought maybe the kitchen added more water in proportion to the soup base. My friend who had ordered the same item weeks before told me about his disappointing experience and at the time I was very dubious. Now there may be one less Korean restaurant I can go to in college station.
google avatar

Vanessa L.

Yelp
The service is awesome and workers are friendly. I love the kimbap- tastes great and is cheap as well. Everything here tastes pretty authentic to me, from the bibimbap to the soups to the japchae and udon. Definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I love all of the dishes I've tried here. Right now I'm eating leftovers of their kimchi jjigae and it was so good I had to post a review! Kimchi in it is so delicious, and I think the owners make it themselves. You can buy a tub of it from them in the restaurant. I like to let the kimchi ferment longer in my fridge, because it becomes sweet and super tasty. Thank you!!!
google avatar

Shelby L.

Yelp
Choi's is the best korean spot in town!! Family/homey atmosphere, large portions. The best kimchi jjigae of all time, and we always get gimbap or tteokbokki. So good! Every once in awhile if I'm too lazy to make kimchi I pick up a half gallon. It's perfectly spicy and sweet. I recently came in to pick up an order and felt very safe despite COVID-19. Choi's is taking precautions very seriously. I can't wait until this pandemic calms down and I can safely get a giant pot of budae jjigae with my friends at Choi's!
google avatar

Siru L.

Yelp
This is by far the #1 Korean cuisine in town. They recently added many new delicious appetizer dishes too! Love the Sotteok Sotteok!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
This is the best Korean food in town. Go there and try everything! So good! Also, the owners and employees are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place. 10/10. I've had Bibimbap, the Gimbap, Dak Galbi, and the Tteokmandoo Guk soup. All incredible! But the Dak Galbi is my favorite. I highly recommend it if you like spicy food. Become friends with the owners. They will brighten your day!
google avatar

Billy B.

Yelp
Similar menu to the other Korean restaurants with a few variances. Jjajangmyeon is pretty good here. A lot of other authentic Korean dishes offered. Huge portions on everything I've tried. Service is so so but that is the authentic Korean/ktown experience lol
google avatar

Pauline V.

Yelp
Choi's is honestly one of my favorite places to eat at in College Station/Bryan. The Korean food here tastes so authentic and delicious and there's a huge selection on their menu. A couple of my favorites are their grilled bulgogi kimbap, tangsuyuk, and rabokki if you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth to try!
google avatar

Ethan I.

Yelp
I have lived down the street from this place for the past few years but just recently decided to give it a try. I had the Rabokki and I loved every bite of it! The sauce was the perfect amount of sweet, tangy, and spicy. There are various different ingredients inside the dish that make every bite interesting and different. If you are looking for a great noodle dish, I highly recommend the Rabokki at Choi's!

Anh V.

Yelp
First time we ordered the kimchi soups there and they were great. The broth was just about right and we love it :) That is why I decided to come back. I ordered through Door dash and unfortunately, the lady just forgot to pack the soup for us. We got the bulgogi and the grilled fish. The fish was fresh and it recalled my memory of mom's cooking. I called the restaurant to ask for the soup and her attitude was sincere. She apologized that she forgot it and would be happy if I could come back and pick it up any time. What I feel good about this restaurant is the "very very" nice and professional service and the way the owner treats her customers. Later when we came back to pick up the soup, she apologized again and gave us a pack of snack. She was so nice to do so. We will definitely come back not only because of the good food there but also because of the customer service.
google avatar

Gigi L.

Yelp
*Updates: wait too long wait* nice Korean restaurant. Compared to ohana and lunch box take out, it has its own featured dishes. I have the beef soup and some noodles. But the seafood pancake is not good. Service is fine
google avatar

Billy S.

Yelp
Ordered over Uber eats and it came quickly, however the food wasn't up to par. Everything was bland and the side salads were not great.
google avatar

Jeffery S.

Yelp
I have been enjoying this food for years and should have written this review earlier. This as good of Asian food as you will find in the area. I highly recommend this great place.
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
Food is mediocre, Service is bad, I've been to all 3 Korean places in Cstat this was the worst outta the 3, so I'd recommend the other ones.

Angelina C.

Yelp
These people are super cautious about COVID. It's takeout only, and they cover up the counter. You have to wait in your car while food is being made, and they send you a text when the food is ready for pickup. Food was authentic and delicious. I was happy to find the Samgyetang which the other nearby Korean restaurants didn't have (at least not on the online menus).
