"Oakland’s been hip to Cholita Linda for years, but now the popular restaurant has moved further east with a new Walnut Creek location. The Baja fish tacos are among the best in the Bay, but the Cubano sandwich is worthy of consideration as well. If you’re looking for a bigger meal, splash out for the picadillo plate, made with Niman Ranch ground beef." - Dianne de Guzman

"There’s a fourth Bay Area location of Cholita Linda headed to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek. The restaurant, which already has locations in Temescal, Alameda, and at the Ferry Building, signed a lease to take over 'the old Heritage Eats space next to Nordstrom.' Look out for an opening in late summer or early fall." - Lauren Saria

I was blown away to see Cholita Linda in WC. I've always gone to the one in Oakland. So you know I was happy to get my Pepito! Sandwiches are always good, but my favorite is the Pepito. I also got the blackberry fresca. Soo good! Friendly staff. Good amount of space and seating. Price matches the quality IMO.

Cholita Linda nails Latino food fusion. I’ve visited a few times and tried the carnitas, fish, and chicken tacos, all delicious. Where else can I satisfy my taco crave with side options like crispy yuca frita and sweet plantains? I will definitely have to try other items on the menu! If you’re in the area, this place is worth a visit.

Literally the most delicious!!! Loved this place in Oakland and am so happy it’s out here now in Walnut Creek. Everything on the menu is truly incredible - SO GOOD. Also, the salad dressing is crazy delicious. The plates are great, so are the tacos and all of the sides. Go here!! It’s so good.

I popped in on my lunch break and I’m happy I did. I don’t normally come to Walnut Creek for work, but when I come by again, I’m 100% coming here again. I’m upset this is the closet location to me. I ordered a cabano sandwich and strawberry fresca. It took awhile to receive my order, but when I got it, the worker informed me that my cabano had been burnt, so they made another one before handing it to me. I really appreciate that they took the extra time to do this. That sandwich was gone in seconds. I honestly would have eaten it burnt, it was that good. The lady also gave me a side of chips and guacamole for the wait. And it’s that good guac, you know, the kind with actual chunks of avocado, finely diced red onion, and a subtle kick? That cabano was so good, I told my boyfriend about it. Dudes a total snob when it comes to cabanos. He doubted me and immediately went into his snobby rants about how cabano sandwiches are supposed to be. Anyways, I asked him if he wanted one… he said yes. On my last break I went back and ordered a second Cabano and drove it back home. He took a bite and said “holy sh*t, that is good,” then did a little wiggle over the kitchen sink and took a second bite. His snobby butt never does that, and he ate that sandwich cold cause he is a weirdo and doesn’t care about food temperatures. He is saving the rest for later and I told him to warm it up proper. Long story short, that cabano sandwich was super good. I know my picture doesn’t do it justice, just try it.

Stopped by to try it out and was very happy. Staff was friendly, food was quite good and felt like a good value for the money. The outdoor patio is also nice, and has good heating even in the cold. I’d definitely get the polo al pastor taco again, it was delicious.

Food is absolutely delicious, it can get quite busy during brunch/lunch but it’s definitely worth the wait. Chips & guac is very fresh, tacos are ALL GOOD, aqua fresca (limeade) is refreshingly good.

On the 4th of March, my parents each ordered a Cubano sandwich. My father ate the whole sandwich and my mother ate half of hers. Six hours later he began vomiting, which lasted well into the following day. My mother had diarrhea for hours after eating the sandwich. My parents, friends and I have eaten at the Oakland location and loved the food, atmosphere and prices. We were excited when one opened in Walnut Creek. Unfortunately, it seems as though a food safety issue may have occurred at the Walnut Creek location.

Been driving through the Caldecott tunnel to get to the Cholita Linda in Berkeley for years. So happy that Walnut Creek finally has one. Fish tacos 12/10, Cubano sandwich 12/10, chicharrones de pollo 12/10. Give them a try!
