Super friendly service, love the music — awesome volume too, something many coffee shops are weirdly not aware that is annoying? Products are yum — loved the Duh! Donuts and was grateful for the flexibility on my drink. Coffee is fantastic. I did not add one more star because the space is very cold, and minimalist. For me, coffee is a comforting space, so I would love a little warmth — but that should not take away from the personable nature of the awesome baristas and the great eats.

Google
Hands down the best coffee in Ridgewood and dare I say New York. There’s a reason for the line on weekends and it’s well worth the wait. Customer service is top tier, it’s clean, minimalist, but host a series of perfectly curated art shows as well. I’ve never been the type of person to drink my coffee til the last sip, until Cholita. Every drop is gold! Love it!

Cholita has some of the best specialty lattes I've ever had, but the service consistently falls short. On my last visit, I was the only customer ordering, yet it took a long time to get my drink because the staff seemed more engaged in their own conversation than in helping customers. The owner was also just standing nearby, which made the whole interaction feel awkward. The service has never been particularly courteous or attentive, but the drinks are good enough that I still come back. It’s a strange dynamic.

Cholita is truly a hidden gem that deserves all the recognition it can get. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a mesmerizing interior that beautifully blends minimalism with Ecuadorian symbols. The design is both inviting and unique, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for relaxing or working. The coffee is outstanding—rich and flavorful, it’s clear that quality is a priority here. I tried the raíces and the cocada, both of which were absolutely delightful. As someone who works in hospitality, I think the only area Cholita could improve on is customer service. A warmer, more welcoming approach would help build stronger connections with customers, making them feel more at home. Simple gestures like a friendly greeting and engaging with guests would truly elevate the overall experience. Additionally, I’d love to see the space utilized for more comfy seating, giving customers a cozy spot to linger and enjoy their coffee. Offering a selection of pastries would also be a great addition, enhancing the menu and making it a perfect stop for a longer visit. I can't wait to return to Cholita. It’s a place that not only serves amazing coffee but also offers a captivating experience. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy a cup of joe!

I’m lucky to live around the corner from this serene little coffee shop that consistently knocks it out of the park. Espresso drinks are good temp, foam is velvety, balance between milk and coffee flavours is complex and delicious and satisfying. I don’t drink straight espresso as much as I used to but they’re on my shortlist for where to do so. The staff are sweet. Only faults I would note is that seating is very competitive, and there is space on one side that is flanked just by chairs to add some tables and increase capacity, especially for cold seasons when outdoor seating isn’t a lovely option. I do appreciate the outdoor seating. There could also be a more consistent variety of food, some savoury pastries would be great, but the doughnuts they sometimes have are delicious. Overall, super glad they exist 🙌🏻

Google
Very cool art and cafe. The coffees they have are unique, cultural, and very tasty. Was pleasantly surprised by the star fruit inside and the mocha coffee. Would recommend for a refreshing new coffee spot to visit. I do agree that the staff could be a bit friendlier and that the space could be a bit bigger ,offering more seating BUT I think that it's part of the charm of this place. It's a good place to grab some quick coffee, see some art, not much small talk- in and out. If that 's your thing then this place is great.

Last three times, the filtro coffee has tasted a bit watered down? Needs to be better coffee when paying $4.36 plus tip

Google
One of the best coffee shops in nyc. I'm obsessed with making the perfect espresso drinks and they do it right here. They start with really well curated beans. Their baristas are extremely well trained to pull smooth shots with the right ratios. Everything is steamed to perfection - not too hot to ruin the flavor. Definitely the best coffee shop in ridgewood by a mile - hard to want to go anywhere else. Sometimes they have dj's on the weekend - that's sick. They have flyers for local events as well and it's one of the best flyer sections around. You can tell they really care about the community and that makes me love them more. They also represent their spanish heritage which makes it feel more personal and inviting into the owners lives

Yelp
LOVE this coffee shop! Cholita offers some well-made coffee drinks, and we loved stopping by! I had their Cocada, which was prepared with double espresso, milk, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut - came out extra hot, as requested, and the drink was just expertly made. Staff were super kind and friendly, and there are a handful of seating inside. The space is minimal, but I loved the artwork. Such a great spot to get your caffeine fix and/or to do some work. Thanks, Cholita! +delicious coffees +friendly staff & service

Yelp
Ridgewood has definitely been gentrified over the past couple of years but that is not necessarily a bad thing, just something to adjust to. Cholita is a cute Ecuadorian coffee shop that offers different drinks & some pastries as well. I had the raíces drink which was great- the star anise was a nice touch. I'm looking forward to trying other drinks from here.

Yelp
Love having Cholita as a neighborhood coffee shop. It's the perfect place to get coffee to go to kickstart your day. The raices is great; the combination of the three sweets/spices (cinnamon, star anise, and panela) blends beautifully. The cocada is also great. The coconut and condensed milk make that latte smooth as heck. There's about 3 or 4 tablespoons, best for sitting with a friend to chat for a little bit, but it's also possible to get some focused work time here, as long as you do not anticipate needing a lot of space to spread out. The artwork around the cafe regarding the diaspora is what takes this from a typical neighborhood coffee shop to a place with roots and intention.

Yelp
A lovely coffee shop with quick & attentive service. Coffee was yum..highly recommend.

Yelp
My new favorite coffee shop in Ridgewood because the coffee is great, the decor is minimalistic but purposeful, and they're with the watermelon cause. I had their Raices latte and it's going to be my go-to forever and ever. Lol. I'm currently dreaming about it right now! That panela, cinnamon, and star anise is a triple threat that can't be beat. The Dulce de Leche is creamy and topped with sea salt... it wasn't too sweet but it was just like drinking a not too sweet dessert. LOL. The double shot of espresso in each of the drinks were perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up which is exactly why I went. I was served quickly and the people working at the time were very welcoming! Many people were hanging around the cafe spreading good vibes as well. Rooting for this business to last for a good minute/forever. :)

Yelp
Cholita is my new fave modern, Latin, coffee spot! I go on morning walks and always want to find a good spot to pick up my caffeine on the way back. I spotted this place awhile ago and I'm so happy that I finally made it. I quickly loved the simplified aesthetic to the decor at the shop, highlighting the culture from the coffee. Yet, the walls being white and blank give it that modern, minimalist vibe. The barista nailed it when he asked if I was Mexican. I happened to be wearing a "day of the dead" hoodie and also ordered the "Raices" drink. He said it's very popular amongst Mexicans because of the cinnamon. I really enjoyed it. So much so that I took my Mamacita recently. I want to try the "Cocada" sweetened condensed milk and coconut! Yum! Also the Ecuadorian chocolate for the mocha sounds delicious! I also love that they have a stamp card. I'm a sucker for a stamp card.

Yelp
Cocadas all day, every day please. So yummy + perfect for a sweltering hot heat wave summer's day. Much love to Cholita, staff is super kind & chill as well ‍

Yelp
Best coffee in the neighborhood by a long shot, but the service is really hit or miss. A bit of a crap shoot whenever you walk in, as some staff behind the counter can be pretty rude or, at best, disinterested. What's possibly worse is that I think it's entirely unintentional, and just kind of a personality thing. Again great coffee and espresso drinks, but not a place to go if you've been having a hard day.

Yelp
I would get an iced cocada from Cholita everyday if I could! This drink is like a latté with sweetened condensed milk. So good! I enjoy the hot version, too. I also enjoy Cholita for their friendly staff, the art that they feature, the very chill atmosphere, and their pop-ups! They hosted one pop-up with flan and it was so good! They are also very kind about allowing flyers for local events. I like being able to go there and see what else is going on in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed Cholita yet- tbh I've been gatekeeping -bc it's a local gem and my absolute fav of Ridgewood as a lifelong community member. Five stars is too little - I love this spot. Staff is always on point with the drinks and the latte art game is stronggg. Also, they showcase local up-and-coming artists and alternate their music so the vibes are the best. Their drinks are super unique and curated and they use their own brand "Choco" and have Juan Puebo on espresso

Yelp
I love this coffee shop so much. I come here every morning when I have to move my car because it just makes having to wake up to move your car to the opposite side of the street worth waking up for. Their lattes are so delicious and so good every time. Even their latte art is always perfect. Everyone there is kind and once you enter the place it's just feels clean warm welcoming and zen. I've tried the maple latte and was hooked on that for a good two weeks it's the perfect amount of maple to add sweetness to your coffee without having to add sugar but still having that coffee taste in every sip. Then I decided to try something new which then I tried their " cocada" latte. Now I'm hooked on this one currently it has condensed milk I believe but wow I would've never guessed these combinations to go with coffee in a latte and taste so good at the same time. Honestly every time I come out in the cold winter weather to get a hot latte here I feel so much better and this is coming from a girl that strictly until I found this coffee shop was an ICED LATTE GIRL ONLY. So to change me from iced to hot latte game changer of a latte can't wait to try the whole menu and their combinations honestly I know everything here is quality flavorful and just done to perfection.

Yelp
Truly would not have noticed this place if there hadn't been a solid crowd sitting outside. We were having lunch across the street and stopped in for a coffee. The menu is interesting beyond a standard coffee shop; for example, we got a Dulce de leche iced coffee. The crowd seems super hipster in a friendly way. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I so wish that they offered sleeves for their coffee, but otherwise the iced experience was great!

Yelp
Really cute spot for coffee - I swung by on a Sunday afternoon for a little pick me up and was surprised by how many people were there! I got an iced dulce de leche latte. Super yummy! Would recommend.

Yelp
Great coffee and matcha selection! The speciality lattes and drinks are unique and full of flavor. Great hidden gem in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Great experience. Love the vibe as an American Ecuadorian it makes me proud to have a piece of home close to my home.

Yelp
Very artsy, with a minimalistic feel. If you're trying to support small businesses in the area, this is the place! Cholita is an Ecuadorean owned coffee shop in Ridgewood, Queens that has great coffee option and work space area. If you find yourself there, I would recommend trying their Raíces, leche miel and matcha.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place. This coffee shop is great. I've had the Cocada and Raices and they're both delicious. There's seating outside which is super cute as well as inside I've never had any issues finding a seat, the aesthetic is very calm and it's super local so there's no crazy lines.

Yelp
This little coffee shop here is AWESOME. I was looking for coffee shops in Queens that I didn't have to travel too far to get quality coffee. This little shop knocks it out of the park. The service here is awesome, and every drink here is an experience to try. The quality of the coffee is really tasty, and you can tell that the baristas know the craft well. This place looks like it's just starting out, so they don't have much seating, but that's okay, all good things take time. This place is worth the travel to! I really like the Cocada drink option they have, as well as the Moca. I highly recommend this place to visit and have a coffee!

Yelp
Cholita is a super minimalist space putting out excellent coffee and cafe beverages in the heart of Ridgewood. The baristas I met on my visit were extremely friendly and we engaged in a bit of small talk about the area. There are a couple of tables where you can work if you are a remote employee. It's a nice location in walking distance of many of the shops and restaurants on Woodward Ave. and Rolo's is across the street. The iced matcha I had was excellent and refreshing. Can't wait to make my way over to Cholita again sometime soon!

Yelp
good coffee. $7+ for a iced latte. fine whatever. woman with short hair who took my order was so rude and felt incredibly unwelcoming. won't be coming back.

Yelp
Great coffee and cool vibe. Staff is friendly very quick service this place gets packed quick it's worth grabbing a cup and sitting down.

Yelp
I ordered the cocada and it was one of the best coffee/espresso drinks I've ever had (and I have worked in coffee shops all over the city)-perfectly balanced flavors with just right amount of sweetness. Though somewhat austere the white box-gallery aesthetic is refreshing and serves in emphasizing the broad range of curated art on display. I appreciate their homage to indigenous Peruvian women/culture and that it is co-owned/founded by Queens locals

Yelp
Simple space and amazing coffee. Went with a group of 4 and everyone enjoyed what they got. Happy to get here and try it out.

Yelp
So happy to have a high quality place like this in the neighborhood that has regular hours and is open early. The staff are nice and make great drinks!
