New England Restaurant News, Updated Weekly (Winter 2020) | Eater Boston

"Expanding from Warren to Providence's Fox Point neighborhood this spring, the new spot at 117 Ives St. will preserve the iconic Eagle Super Market sign (upgraded to LED) and largely replicate the original's burgers and sandwiches while introducing a few new twists; it will be open daily for lunch and dinner." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Our server was absolutely fantastic and was gracious enough to talk extensively about several manual items and make suggestions seeing as how this was our first time there and unsure of what to get at first. After describing the menu items and What would likely satisfy our appetite, the most efficiently, placed our order and we weren’t the least bit disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing and my only regret was not getting a Second Patty for my Smashburger. All the food was fresh, cooked, perfectly plated, beautifully, and served piping hot. Service was on point and we loved the chic environment, especially since we were sat in the little back room and watching Bob Ross paint very quaint pictures on the video screen. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later to try more menu items, but it’s going to be so difficult for me not to order another one of those smash burgers and actually give one of the sandwiches that sounded so delicious on the menu a try!

Google
chomp is always a go to place that i take my non rhode islander friends. the menu is just so different then anything ive seen before with it just being burgers and chicken sandwiches. (and the occasional fish sando) but ive never had a bad experience here. the food is always a 10/10. i failed to get a pic because my boyfriend devoured it too fast but the january special “cheddar broccoli soup chicken sandwich” was honestly the most delicious thing ive ever had. never had anything like it. so different and unique. my favorite soup on a chicken sandwich should definitely be permanently on the menu:) but the burgers and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks are also phenomenal!

As soon as I walked in the door I said to myself "this is my kinda place"! And then it just kept getting better and better. I live in Troy, New York and my Brothers and I were in Providence to see the Goose show at Amica, naturally we have to eat and drink before the show and we chose this amazing establishement - only to tell my wife - we are planning a trip back just to go and eat at Chomp. So many great options of food to choose from - I got the "chips n dip" inspired chicken sandwich - I truly wanted 1 of everything - I highly recommend this place and I know with the service, the food n drinks, you won't be disappointed! Happy Holidays!

Google
Food was SO AMAZING! Pretty good prices especially for made from scratch food, with great portion sizes! Drink menu was also very large and all the drinks we got were amazing!

Google
Food is good especially the fries. Sauces leave a little to be desired but overall food is fresh and good. The vibe is very cool in there and service is awesome. Definitely give it a try.

Google
We stopped in for lunch on Saturday afternoon and had a great experience! We were seated immediately by the friendly host at a nice spacious table despite not making a reservation ahead of time. Our server Michelle was lovely and walked us through the menu, giving recommendations and answering any questions we had. She was very attentive and stopped by the table a few times throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and portions were generous. Easily one of the best burgers in RI, we will definitely be back again soon!

Google
Food was amazing!! Service was impeccable. Great location in a little neighborhood. Awesome to walk around after dinner. Definitely coming back to try a different dish!

Google
The burger was cooked to absolute perfection. Excellent service from the waitress and bartenders. Reilly and Kelsey, were extremely nice, and welcoming. Both the Honey Mustard BBQ and regular Honey Mustard sauce easily 10/10 and would recommend with any meal. If you are ever in the Providence area you definitely need to try this place!

Yelp
I love this place! Delicious burgers and fries. Nice selection of beer and drinks. Can get a little busy/packed and loud but it's still fun and vibrant. There is indoor and outdoor seating (when the weather is nice). The classic smash burger is my jam!
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere is upscale burger joint, very nice but casual. No complaints there. The food was good, if a bit pricey for a smash burger and a few fries. The beef was cooked in true smash burger fashion, but I feel like the edges lacked that lacey crisp you find on truly spectacular smash burgers. Fries were a bit cold, but still tasty. The server was friendly, but he always seemed to come at the worst moments and immediately interrupt our conversation. He could've at least waited til we finished a sentence. The drink menu had the wrong description for the cider my date ordered, which was a bit annoying, and they brought me the wrong beer. Over all, not bad but I feel like it could've been better considering the prices.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite chicken sandwich in the city! I have to make a stop at Chomp when I come home. The service is great, the ambiance is fun and the menu is always changing with fun new additions and specials. It can get a bit busy at times so I recommend a reservation if you go at peak times with larger groups. I always order the BBQ hot honey chicken sandwich and I hope it never leaves the menu! Perfect combo or sweet and spicy. I get fries as a side and ask for a chomp sauce to dip them in. Highly recommend and I can't wait to be back next time!

Yelp
I ordered a kids grilled cheese and 1/2 order of crab Rangoon sticks ... everything was cold. The grilled cheese was barely grilled, as we were the sticks. The picture and the menu is very deceiving. I got the kids grilled cheese and the appetizer and it came out to $28.37. It was cold when I got it. Very disappointing

Yelp
The food was delicious. The service was accurate and fast. There is plenty of seating options. There are tvs to watch games. They also have a bar. It has a chill family friendly ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
We got street parking near by and went on a beautiful day and had seating right next to an open window. Inside is bigger than it looks from the outside. Our server was friendly and attentive. Both burgers were amazing, and a very good size, we ended up with half of one left over. The crab rangoon mozzarella sticks were also delicious but I found myself wishing they were more crab rangoon than mozz. They have a rotating frozen drink option and I hope to come again soon!

Yelp
Came in on a date. The server was attentive. The food was tasty and the seasonal drinks on point!

Yelp
I used to love the food here but the last two times have been a waste of a visit. as someone who doesn't eat red meat I always go for their chicken - but the last two times have been dry and not flavorful at all. if the breading falls off and my chicken taste like nothing then, throw the whole thing away. they need to realize all these sauces and aïolis don't make up for bland chicken will not be returning, maybe the other locations have better cooks who know what good food taste like

Yelp
We had a great dinner here recently and the only reason I gave it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 was that where we were seated inside was so loud we had trouble hearing our waitress telling us the specials. Other than that, everything was great! All of the food was delicious and they were so accommodating to my daughter who only wanted fried shrimp (there was a fried shrimp noodle special). We will definitely be back, but maybe ask to sit outside so it's not so loud.

Yelp
Where do I start with this review? I have been threatening to go there for a few years now, and finally pulled the trigger last weekend. Boy, was I ever delighted! When I made my reservation, I accidentally selected an outdoor table and it was far too chilly to be sitting outside, at least for me anyway. The dining room was packed without a table until the hostess got a little creative and placed me and my girlfriend out of the way just off the dining room into a private dining room room meant for parties of 5-6 people. It significantly reduced the noise level from the louder main dining area and as a super bonus, there was a video screen playing Bob Ross as he painted happy trees and created beautiful images on canvas. This was great entertainment for my girlfriend and I once we dove into the meals that we ordered. But prior to that happening, we had a wonderful waitress whose name I regretfully forget, but when we explained to her that this was our first time at this restaurant and that we were both quite hungry, she helped go through several options on the menu that caught our eye and ond went into great detail about what made each dish so unique and wonderful, and helped us make our final choices. Well, for myself, I got a classic Smashburger because I had been in the mood for a burger before I even arrived at the restaurant and that was absolutely the best choice! It was generously large, fresh tasting, and very juicy. As a side dish, I ordered the Cajun fries, and they were quite unlike any other Cajun fries I had ever had because of the cut and the way they cooked them. I was absolutely in heaven with this meal and my only regret about ordering it was that I didn't double up on the patties to make it even more filling. My girlfriend enjoyed an Impossible Burger since she doesn't eat meat dishes. She's not a vegetarian, she's just picky... Lol! We also enjoyed a surprisingly frozen and slushy pumpkin spice alcoholic beverage to wash our meals down with. Everything tasted, smelled, and looked delicious! The environment of the restaurant and particularly the private dining area that we were seated in was very bright and airy. We had an amazing experience there, and we are excited to go back next week and try some of the things that we didn't try on the first visit. It's on street parking for this restaurant and it's quite popular so I would definitely recommend making reservations before you go. I highly recommend you check this place out and sample some of the deliciousness they have on their menu.

Yelp
I was starving a couple nights ago and ordered a chicken sandwich from Chomp. I ordered takeout, so I didn't get to fully experience the restaurant. However, I genuinely appreciated how quickly they prepared my order. From what I could see briefly, the restaurant was quite busy. So if you're planning a visit on the weekend, I'd recommend getting a reservation. I had the honey mustard chicken sandwich with a side of fries. It was incredibly tasty. The chicken was so flavorful, and the fries were honestly perfect. I will 1000% be returning in the near future.

Yelp
I was craving going to Chomp for my birthday celebration and I'm so glad I got to go. It was a gorgeous night, so we ate at one of the tables outside. Our server was prompt and super friendly!! We ordered a couple cocktails, the half order of Crab Rangoon sticks, and salt and vinegar Brussel sprouts to start. I really loved the Brussel sprouts! Then I ordered the special for May which was a chicken Mozambique sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Goomah which he really really enjoyed. The Mozambique sandwich was so flavorful and I'm still craving it now! I hope it makes its way back to the menu soon!

Yelp
Very good burger and sandwich! It was pretty busy for a rainy Wednesday night, but there were still plenty of tables. Service was very quick for the whole night; we were seated quickly and our server was always ready when we needed her. The food was good overall! I think our favorite was the Mac and cheese side! The house burger was well cooked and the sauce was very tasty. Only complaints were that burger patty itself could've used a little more seasoning and the piece of lettuce was huge for the size of the burger. The chopped cheese was decadent. There were a lot of flavors going on so we took half of it home to not be overwhelmed. We will definitely be back for a burger and to try other dishes!

Yelp
What's a girl to do when she wants a yummy burger? Check out Chomp on Ives. OMG. A perfect blood orange rita with salt did not disappoint and the smash burger? A second OMG for the perfect goodness and the fluffiest bun around. Out door seating is available AND the service is impeccable. Totally coming back here!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I ordered for chomp since I haven't tried it since a couple years ago! I got the banh mi chicken sandwich and he got the bandit melt. The banh mi chicken sandwich wasn't really like banh mi (which I expected) and was really just a chicken sandwich with pickled carrot and daikon. I still enjoyed it though, and the chicken was super juicy and tender. My boyfriend enjoyed his bandit melt, which was a bit spicier than expected, but still good! The chomp sauce is probably my favorite part as well.

Yelp
One of our absolute favorite places! Such a cool vibe and the food is amazing. They're always rolling out new ideas for delicious options!

Yelp
Goods: We always have great meal at Chomp! All staff are very friendly and kind. The fries were crisp and warm but not too greasy. They actually might be my favorite fries in PVD. The ceasar is always solid and the burgers are delicious. We usually make a reservation so we can know we'll sit outside. We enjoyed a passionfruit margarita which was so refreshing and light. Bad: -The food is more expensive than expected. -Parking can be hard to find because it is street parking but it's not tooooooo bad. It just takes some time to find.

Yelp
First time at Chomp; i'm not a big burger lover but my husband was craving a burger so decided to go try it out. Friday night, didn't have reservations but was sat quickly. Parking was tough, had to drive around a lot to find a spot. Restaurant does not have a parking lot and that street had several other restaurants/businesses so on weekends can be busy. Our waiter was nice, gave us time to look over menu. We ordered a cocktail from the June specials, it was a coconut spritz i think, i really liked it! Sweet but not too much. For a meal my husband got the house burger and i ordered wings. I liked that they give you option of choosing 2 wing sauce and it comes 8 wings. They were pretty tasty. My husband's burger was good but not as good as he thought, since we always here of chomp for the burgers. Also the fries weren't hot. Overall was ok, not sure we will go back soon but maybe someday to try a different burger or sandwich.

Yelp
Listen, I've been to Chomp more times than I can count. I went to the Warren Location before it was cool (years ago when they were only in Warren). It's way more accessible to me being in PVD now, the spot is easy to get to, there is street parking all over, now onto the meat of things. Chomp... You guys do such a dang good job roping me in with your specials. They look absolutely amazing. You got me in the door the other night because my wife saw "Crab Rangoon Burger" and the rest was history, we made it in. I was hungry. Which makes me worried. I asked the waitress for a recommendation, Stuffed Mushroom Burger, my dark horse, or the Fried Avocado Burger. To my surprise the Stuffed Mushroom Burger was recommended as being the heavier option. I went with it and BOY I was not prepared for how decadent and rich this burger was. It was simply amazing. I'd say it's 50/50 on whether or not I'm satisfied or left wanting more when I visit Chomp. Let me explain. This burger was packed. PACKED with flavor. It had varying textures, the smash burger was perfectly caramelized, the artichoke spread lends the perfect amount of richness and the crispy fried onions gave just enough textural relief to the thick spread that it left me going back for each bite in record time. However, this is not always my experience here. I'll admit, this visit was a 5/5. The burger was perfect for me and the field greens salad was delicious (A+ lemon vinaigrette). I'd say the biggest gripe I have is the consistency and pricing. Sometimes I come in wanting the special, which uses all ingredients on their normal menu items, and I'm being charged $19 for a burger. That's a pricy burger! To boot, if they have what looks like a drool worth chicken sandwich special going on, and I go in and pretty much get 1/2 the toppings or a small piece of fried chicken in my sandwich, I'm not a happy camper. It's happened more than once where I get a piece of fried chicken here that doesn't have any overhang with the bun. They wouldn't post their special with that pathetically sized piece of chicken, so why serve it to me in your restaurant? Expectations vs reality is a big thing at play here. I've had just as many 3-3.5 star food experiences here as I've had 4-5 star. So, keep that in mind. Chomp, I love you and you make some of the best burgers around. I promise this is coming from a good place. All that said, slight inconsistency aside with portions and pricing. Service is always spot on, the space is nice. Casual but has its own level of sophistication about it- you wouldn't bat an eye at someone looking nice and dressed up here but you can also come in after a workout in some gym clothes. Most importantly, everything here always tastes very good in my opinion. Like I said, points off for inconsistent portion sizes (small piece of fried chicken, lack of crab rangoon on my wife's burger, sometimes things are a little under sauced etc.) and for the fact that I'm spending almost $20 for a burger. I highly, highly recommend looking at the online menu before your visit if it was their special that caught your eye. No word of a lie, one time I went in for the special and it was $22 or something like that. I was floored. Food quality, off the charts. Value, eh. Service, amazing. Atmosphere, great.

Yelp
Chomp is the absolute BEST! I had the ribeye sandwich, split it with my mom, and wow--it was huge. Even with just a few bites of an appetizer (can't even remember what it was because the sandwich stole the show), we were STUFFED. Barely had room for our delicious drinks--I went with a local beer and loved it. Every time I've been here, it's been an amazing experience. My friends and even a lucky date have all been just as impressed. Oh, and their chicken sandwiches? They're the KING. Will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Camille T.

Yelp
Amazing!! I have been wanting to come here for a while and I'm so glad I finally did!! I lived up the street for ages and never came, which was obviously a huge mistake! The food is delicious. The flavors are strong so be prepared for a tasty explosion! It's casual and relaxed, and we came at the perfect time to be able to sit next to the huge windows that were wide open. Service was great, and recommendations were made that didn't disappoint. I'll definitely be back!!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
Delicious burgers, amazing fries, awesome experience. Chomp has the gourmet burgers of your dreams and will be where I go when I'm craving them. Food aside from the burgers can also lean towards the heavier side, so just be careful. Service is great, and the neighborhood is great too. There's dessert across the street, and occasionally some live music in the neighborhood. Parking is street parking. May be a bit harder to find a spot at peak hours, but side roads usually have a spot or two.

Yelp
In a world of burger joints - Chomp is always the first I suggest. On the Water in Warren the view is amazing if you catch sunset. Always switching up what I get but haven't met a burger I didn't like there. Can be busy but staff is always friendly. Looking forward to trying more of their chicken and other menu items but the burgers always call to me.

Yelp
First visit to Chomp, RI while visiting its newest chef and son in law, Max. Wow this place was hopping. Excellent atmosphere with hysterical signage. I like the window to the kitchen so you can see the chefs and it affords easy access to the plates for the wait staff. McKenna was our waitress and she was Great - attentive and helpful on suggestions. The food was Excellent! All their items are made in house - sauces, dressings, toppings, Burgers, Corned Beef etc!We started with the salt and vinegar Sprouts - oh the flavor and the bacon fat mmm, mmm!!! Then we had the Classic Smash Burger with a GF bun for our GF daughter! Outstanding! Then the wife had the Mediterranean Burger - really tasty! And I had the Truffle Shuffle Burger with Truffle fries- oh Yum! Flavorful and nice and hot off the griddle! Thank you for a great experience and a wonderful meal - We shall be back on our next visit to Providence!!!
google avatar

Lily C.

Yelp
Top notch. My smash burger was delicious and juicy. I understand why Chomp has the claim to fame for having the best burger in Providence. I haven't tried a lot of burgers in Providence but I can say mine definitely hit the spot. Everyone else in my party also loved their burgers. I was torn between the burger and the chicken sandwich. Perhaps next time I'll try to chicken but that's going to be hard. Brussels sprouts were delish too. Our waitress was awesome. Fast and attentive. Nice ambience and I would absolutely recommend and come back.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way to Boston from Connecticut. It was a great choice! We were looking for a place that had sandwiches and burgers and this place checked all the boxes. I ordered the lo-mein which was a special that day which was made with Korean bbq sauce and fried shrimp. It was outstanding. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders with two different sauces, they were serious some of the best tenders I've ever tried. Fried to perfection. We ordered Cajun fries to share which were also fantastic. It's a cute little cozy place with a pretty decent beer selection too. Outside seating on the sidewalk with big open air windows to let the fresh air and sun in. The staff was attentive and friendly. All in all a great little place in a nice neighborhood.

Yelp
Great service, fantastic chicken sandwiches w many options. Loved the menu and overall experience. The server was attentive and helpful. He knew the menu and offered recommendations when asking questions. We could talk and the music wasn't overalls loud. :) Overall great experience!

Yelp
This is still on our list of fav restaurants. Everything is freshly made with unique flavor combos. You can taste the Chef's devotion to their craft. The servers we had have made the experience of dining here fantastic. We have never had an iota of anything to fault. This is how it is done. So try everything, it's all delish. Bravo, Complimenti allo chef!"

Yelp
Great burger and brew spot in Wakefield, food was great, awesome selection of craft beer and excellent staff. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the view, we got there just at the right time as well. Shortly after we arrived it started filling up and within 30 minutes it was packed .

Yelp
On the first try, we got the House Burger. The burger was ok but a bit dry- even for my friend who likes them over-cooked...I tried to order the burger medium rare, but they told me medium- it came out more medium well. The flavors were good, as were the fries. My friend and I decided to give it a 2nd try and ordered The Smash Classic. It was delicious and the style lent to a much more juicy burger and not dry at all. Great beer selection and cute spot overall...seems a little trendy and can get quite busy. Definitely worth a try and I will be back for more!

Padma W.

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere. It was a beautiful day out and we sat near the open windows which was lovely. Cod fish sandwich was very good. Nice piece of fish and breading was light. A bit too spicy for me and server didn't warn me. Brussels sprouts were average. Nothing special. Pricey for the quantity and value. Crab mozzarella sticks were fine. Chicken sandwiches and hamburger were good. One was also surprisingly spicy. Beer flight was a scam. We didn't realize it but the price was much more than if we had any single beer. Fries were okay. Side salad was nice.

Lynette K.

Yelp
Service-Good Ambience-none but it is lively Good-hmmmm My husband ordered a burger with a whole host of toppings and fries. I tried to find something at least a bit healthy but they only had two lonely boring salads. I ordered the steak sandwich with a side salad. The bread for the sandwich was religiously thick, the steak was overcooked and it had fries on it. They were extremely salty, so I removed them. That was a surprise. Than God I ordered the side salad because the sandwich was salty. My husband agreed, not edible. We took half of our sandwiches home, no idea how we reheat them but the portion was adequate. The prices were descent, it was clean and service was good. BTW Chomp, try grilling the wings, par boil them, season them, then throw on the grill. This method won't work with frozen wings. Tell the wait staff no salt in the fries.

Yelp
You're not going to get a better hunk of beef or chicken anywhere else but here. Chomp is the go-to spot when you want a hamburger or chicken sandwich. They have weekly specials and a fantastic craft beer list. Everything on the menu is toothsome, it's hard to decide on what to get. The staff and ambiance are both welcoming and sociable.

Yelp
Chomp is a nice hangout spot to catch up with someone, it's small on the inside but it's super busy so may have to wait a bit. The bartender was pretty attentive and took our order very quickly. I ordered a stuffed mushroom burger and my friend ordered the Bodega burger. Both were delicious It was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. I especially enjoyed the spinach artichoke spread it had on it. I am definitely a fan of their burgers and will be returning to try other things off the menu!

Yelp
Great place I had the smashed classic burger and it taste delicious and the curl up fries loved it

Michael S.

Yelp
It was busy in Friday but the service was awesome. Friendly waitress and the bartender super cool as well. The burger was extremely flavorful and so was the calamari. The cocktail had a blueberry flavor and was amazing. I loved everything about this place. The restaurant had rustic decor and ocean state themed. Will be back, I was beyond satisfied.

Yelp
Great simple food and very tasty craft beers. Our server was a newbe but if she is an example of who this restaurant hires then they will be around for a long time. Thanks Fraser

Yelp
Located at 117 Ives Street on the East Side. Chomp never disappoints. The amount of work they put into the original Eagle Super Market is amazing. They even kept the old "Eagle Super Market" sign to preserve a piece history in Fox Point. Great food, great drinks especially on a Friday night after work!

Yelp
While most of the Water Street restaurants seem to cater to tourists, we locals brave the traffic nightmare for the variety of delicious offerings from the multitude of restaurants in the area. One thing that keeps us coming back, are the more popular items of savory foods like the mac & cheese balls with the most spectacular gravy there ever was. Seriously, you could bottle this gravy, and sell it separately, it's that good. So when my son and I arrived yesterday, specifically for those mac & cheese balls, there wasn't any warning on the menu that the recipe had been changed. Because we have allergies in our party, I am always cognizant to search out ingredients to avoid any kind of allergy. When the mac & cheese balls were delivered, I was beyond disappointed! The dish had changed into a big glob of room temperature cheese that looked to be microwaved. It was enough to ruin my appetite. My other concern is when our server was reviewing the new additions, and answering our questions, she seemed distracted and suddenly said you know what I'll be back when you're ready even though we were asking very specific questions about the menu. She seemed distracted, overwhelmed, and irritated with all of our questions. Food was brought out, we were enjoying a nice conversation, when the same server came back, gave me a funny look and said you know there's two trays there and instead of asking, she reached over while I was in the middle of reaching for my burger and separated our metal trays, causing tables around us to look over. It may seem trivial but having my food touched while I'm eating it, having my ketchup now out of reach lol I was really upset! I don't understand why this server seemed so intent on being so completely disruptive to our meal. I called over another employee and said can you take these mac & cheese balls from the table, we're not going to eat them because this is not what we ordered and was admonished by her for not reading the menu! What?! I wanted to explain that we were trying to ask questions about the menu, but our server was more concerned about greeting, than answering our questions. The end result was giving us a gift card to come back, something I didn't ask for, something I will be donating. When people go out to eat, we would like to take our time and not feel pushed and rushed and admonished for asking too many questions... especially since the pandemic, people are hypersensitive to having their utensils, and food touched. It is always best practice to ask before touching anything on someone's table after they've been seated.

Yelp
Our cocktails , apps and meals were all delicious. We'll definitely dine here again!

Yelp
My sister, brother-in-law and I made a Friday 7:30P reservation to celebrate a birthday. Our table was ready when we arrived but chairs at the bar opened up so we decided to eat at the bar instead. The 2 bartenders welcomed us, both were super friendly and engaging. They answered beer selection and menu questions with smiles. We ordered a round of beers, a martini, and Mac-n-cheese balls. Food arrived quickly considering it was a packed Friday night, the Mac-n-cheese balls were fantastic. We then ordered another round and the burgers/salad arrived at the same time. The burgers were fantastic, surpassing my expectation. Throughout the entire dinner the bartenders would check-in and have a quick chat. As busy as they were, the service was fantastic. As good as the food was, the two bartenders made were what made the night very memorable.

Yelp
Garlic butter burrata fried chicken sandwich is INSANE! We also got the special drink which was a spiked Hi-C

Yelp
The food was good! I got a plain cheeseburger and fries- burger was rather thin so it wasn't a big meal, but it was yummy. Fries were good too and so was the service! A bit expensive and we waited a while but overall good!

Yelp
Chomp was a delicious way to end the day. I went with a vegetarian friend, and we both got the same main, The Smokey Bandit Melt, she just got it with a veggie burger. It was excellent! It's spicy and flavorful, and comes on some thick toasted bread that holds up for the whole meal. I think the patty being smashed meant the toppings were better integrated with the meat and it made it really enjoyable to eat. I got the Caesar Salad on the side and that was also good. It had just the right amount of dressing . The dressing wasn't too creamy, it was subtle in the best way. Our server was really helpful in selecting which burger style went best with the veggie burger, and in offering me some off menu mocktail options. This restaurant is always really busy, but they were able to seat us outside on their sidewalk that features string lights. It had just rained and the hostess came and squeegeed the table and benches for us and it was lovely!

Yelp
Service was really kind and friendly but I really think overall the food wasn't worth the price. It was nothing special and it was disappointing to spend so much money on only ok food. I really think this place is more for the vibe and the open patio during the summer months. Going in the off season just wasn't impressive. They had an impressive cocktail and beer menu which the people I went with enjoyed. They also had some pretty mocktails. But overall, the food was an only ok burger and chicken sandwich. They also felt small.

Yelp
Everything my Fiance and I ate tasted good, not phenomenal but still very decent food. The issue here is with the pricing and the portions. We ordered an appetizer of truffle fries for a whopping 16 dollars and we were literally given like 9 fries, it was a rather disappointing and left us wanting for more. Also, the fries were good but they did not have an authentic truffle flavor, and were not worth the price of 16 dollars. Ultimately the total of our bill for 2 was exceptionally high, and would've been better spent at a nicer restaurant as there are many in the area. Also, the burgers are way smaller than they advertise them to be on their website. 3 stars
