Chong Qing Noodle

This restaurant is a must try when coming to NYC. The food is amazing and the noodles are made fresh right there in the restaurant. All the soups have their own broth recipe too. I got a mushroom and chicken soup with the large flat noodles. It was perfect! The chicken was really flavorful and the noodles were simply amazing. I also had the steamed pork buns. I think that these are also a must try. The spices are very rich and I didn't think it was too spicy either when I tried my friends "spicy" dish that she ordered. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely stop by and try this spot; it'll become your secret favorite hidden gem.

Their noodle soups are good but what males them great is the spicy sauce that's kept on the table. A spoonfull of it adds a burst of flavors into the soup. Dumplings were good too but little pricey for the quality of food.

Small shop that specializes in spicy noodles with various ingredients. Very authentic style noodles. Clean space and fast service. The Mala noodles are great. I also really enjoyed the special hot dry noodles. If it isn't spicy enough you can add more!

It's easy to miss since it's a small shop but I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for some warm delicious noodle soup. Me and my fiance wanted to share a bowl but after that first sip we decided we needed to get one for each of us. Try out their mini pork buns and shrimp shumai , it will tie everything together nicely.

Very nice people. Quality service. Noodle soup was good, a little bit salty, but still very good. Definitely not the best place for kids. They can make the soup non spicy, but some of the flavors are still a bit strong for some of our kids. The noodles we're amazing! Bathroom was out of order. Nice atmosphere as well. Small tables. Not great if you have more than 6 people.

I was surprised by the authenticity of the flavors here - really happy to have a great noodle joint to go to in midtown. The mala noodle has some decent depth of chili flavor to it with a slick of red oil across the top. The noodles have a good chew and are moderately thin wheat noodles; definitely thicker than angel hair but thinner than spaghetti. The pork is nicely seasoned and the cilantro provide some needed freshness. I like adding some additional hot sauce and black vinegar to this dish. Overall, a little on the salty side. The pork intestines are really well done here! Kudos. Nicely seasoned, clean, no barnyard/gamy flavors. Tender with a bit of chew. Enjoyed these and definitely recommend giving them a try.

Small place with small menu. 9 tables and 18 chairs. 2 pages - the first selection of noodles and the second - appetizers. Noodles made out of pork broth. The beef one, called steak, sort of noodles with tripe. The portions are pretty big but sill overpriced. $14 (fare plus tax) + $2 (tips) =$16 Disappointed.

Amazing Chong Qing Xiao mian. First sip and I thought I was in China! Wuhan hot dry noodle is meh. Sichuan mao cai has great chicken and duck in it. Especially the duck. How delicious!
