We stopped for an evening bit and it was delicious! I had the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich and my partner had the Ruben (a special) with fries. Everything was delicious! Great little seating area too!

Some amazing work is coming out of this place. The batter on the chop was perfect! Sauce to sandwich ratio was on point. Mac Salad hit the spot for a side. Great addition to the neighborhood!

The food is unique, and very friendly towards neat eaters and veggie eaters. I got the breaded pork sandwich, which was huge! But unfortunately it was tough to eat, and was smothered in mustard. The vegan Mac salad was very good though, and it was a perk that you can order from the cart and eat inside Ship Ahoy.

Somebody in a previous review had said that the sauce to bun ratio was on point and I couldn’t agree more. Very good pulled pork sandwich & super fresh + hot french fries! 🍟👍🏽

Google
Always a great experience here. The food is yummy and the people are great! Plus it's right at Ship's Ahoy, my favorite dive bar, so drinks and food... great combo!

I’d come back and eat the saltine breaded pork sandwich again any day of the week. Cooked properly, amazing bun, generous size.

Yelp

Yelp
What's this? Another 5?! Well they are testing out wings right now. I had 4 buffalo and 2 plain (they also have BBQ) and they're quite good. They come as drumsticks & flats. Aren't gargantuan by any stretch but they are QUALITY. Even covered in buffalo (they make their own) I didn't make a huge mess, but more importantly they were fried perfectly crispy with excellent flavor on their own. These are thoughtfully prepared, seasoned and f-ing delicious.

Yelp
Well worth the Hype. Super friendly, super delicious. I'll definitely be back. Fried golden brown w onions & pickles. Perfect balance

Yelp
Wow, what an awesome new food cart to pop up in the neighborhood! I went with the "Indiana Tenderloin" and a salad, great quality overall and I was loving the breaded porkchop with the flavor of the pickles onion and mustard which are all right up my alley. I never really had a pork chop sandwich like this but I was highly impressed and feel like I have been missing out all this time. They also run specials that sound amazing so I'm definitely gonna have to make a return trip to see what they will be whipping up. So, yeah! Get out there and check this place out!

Yelp
Do not come here because they are usually not open. The owner is extremely lazy and works when he feels like it.This has happened 3 times that I've tried to get a burger and they are not there yet I've heard him complaining about not having customers. The final straw was me placing an order for a burger for lunch and paying for it and of course he was not there. The bartenders are very sweet, but I hate that they have to deal with his incompetence. Cbar had amazing food so I'll keep going there.

Yelp
Being a native of Butte, MT when I heard about this food cart I had to try it. Overall the experience was good and did a good job of reminding me of home. The Butte America sandwich was just like a local Wop Chop you'd get from the Freeway bar. If you go expecting a similar sandwich to John's Porkchop, you will find these aren't the same. The pork tenderloin is very generous and it comes with a generous serving of fries. For me, I opted to skip the lettuce, tomato and aioli sauce since that's not traditional. I did get extra mustard, pickles, and onions just like back home. The only thing I'd change is I'd prefer it to spend a little longer in the deep fryer to crisp it up and toast the bun a bit. I'll ask for that next time I go! Go give this a try, while the thought of a porkchop sandwich doesn't sound good to most non-Butte natives, it really is good and you are missing out not trying one.

Yelp
Stopped by the new food truck next to Ship Ahoy Tavern. Wow it was delicious, had that familiar, comfort food feel even though I had never had anything like it before. The Butte, America Chop was my favorite because of how juicy it was. Definitely pairs well with a drink and sitting under the covered patio.

Yelp
Kickass sandwiches! Been 2x now in the past 2 weeks, both times were absolutely amazing! Love how simple the menu is, and that it changes. If you're into grilled sandwiches, this is THE place!

Jordan S.

Yelp
Food was super tasty! It was fun trying both the Indiana and Butte style sandwiches side by side! The pork was juicy and tender on the Butte and perfectly crispy on the Indiana style! We had the fries and Mac salad which was a great addition! Cute little spot and right next to Ship ahoy where you can grab a drink!

Yelp
I randomly found this cart walking by and was blown away. The food was awesome and the service was great even on a hot portland day. I will be coming back for seconds soon!

Yelp
I've been to this new cart 4 times already. The pork tenderloin sandwiches are fantastic. Fried, but not greasy. Salty and tangy from the mustard and the pickles. Flavors that are perfect for when you're having a beer at the Ship Ahoy next door. The special right now is a burger and that was amazing too! The couple running this place are super nice and friendly. Good food and good people. Eat here!

Yelp
The pork chop sandwiches will remind you of the originals, but they are even better since they are made from fresh, quality meat, hand-breaded to order, and served on local bread with local produce. Soooo good and very reasonable prices. If you are not a carnivore, the cart also features a salad with homemade seasonal dressing as well as a jackfruit sando. Friendly service, too! Be prepared to wait a few minutes since everything is created fresh to order, but you can enjoy your meal in a spacious, shaded outdoor seating area.
