Chop is so sweet and great at her craft. After being natural with no relaxer for over 10 years, I decided to try something new and pixie cut it was. Chop made me feel comfortable and slayed my hair that first day and I’ve been coming back every week since then. She takes her work seriously and doesn’t need any direction. I also appreciate that she can curl a head of hair within minutes, and get you in and out. The cherry on top - I ALWAYS get compliments when I get my hair done like a true D girl 😊

Miss Chacity was a life saver! I had got my haircut from a different stylist a month ago and it didn't come out right or lasted for as long as it was supposed too. When I explained it to Chacity she said she would get me together and THAT she did. She was funny, sweet, she took her time and she was straight to the point. I'll definitely be going back to her. Being a client of almost 3 years, I am highly disagreeing with this review🤷🏾‍♀️Chop is an exceptional hairstylist!!! The chop shop is home away from home! We bond we laugh we party and WE ALL HAVE A GOOD TIME!! The text thread she posted is from October….. So many things has changed from then 2 now! Chop hasn’t had an assistant for a while. There is nowhere u can go in the city as a short hair girly nd get a monthly package for $200 and get your hair done as many times u want in a month!! She always shows love 2 her clients because that’s the type of person she is! Come 2 the Chop Shop where we sing, laugh, eat, dance and have a good time!!!!!🎉🎉💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

My experience getting serviced with Chop has been AMAZING! She is so talented at what she does. Her customer service is on point. I’ve been a loyal client for almost a year now and every time she never disappoints. She gets you in and out. I highly recommend if you are going for the big chop, new color or just want to try a new short style.

Very disappointed with my experience. I was recommended to come here after finally deciding to get a Big Chop. First, it seemed to be an issue that I did not want a relaxer due to my hair texture. I read the terms and conditions which stated a relaxer is not mandatory. Second, when I got there, it was already a handful of ladies waiting with only 1 person servicing(S/O to her). I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before deciding to leave. My appointment was already pushed back 30 minutes and I was told it would take 2 hours to complete my look. I did get my $10 deposit back but no apology or offer to reschedule. If you are considering booking, don’t hesitate to make sure you’re not being overbooked. I love supporting black businesses and wish the customer service improved.

My daughter experienced the worst experience of her life first time coming to this stylist. This was her first time getting her hair cut and this stylist basically butchered my baby hair. The worst thing about this whole situation is that all she could do is make excuses. She literally messed both my daughter and her friends hair up. How do you mess not 1 but 2 people s hair up. And as a professional stylist as she calls herself, if there’s something that you cannot do to someone’s hair, then it’s your job to tell them look I cannot do this to your hair, not shave their hair and do whatever you wanna do to it and take their money because that’s exactly what she did. I showed my daughters hair to a professional stylist that cuts my hair and she could not believe how she butchered my daughters hair. This lady does not need to do anybody’s hair. She is unprofessional and just reading her reviews. I know that my daughter and her friend were not lying about her being unprofessional . She offered for them to come back to her and get their hair treated and hair done for free for 30 days. Please ain’t no way we would ever come back to her . She butchered their hair for $100 i can’t imagine what she would do for free. If your looking to get your hair cut or if this is your first time cut I would not recommend this establishment or stylist! She is the worst !!!!!

I disagree with the last review, to my understanding the client came with a haircut “from someone else” and chop did what she could with the cut she came in with. Chop even put curls in her hair due to the length. I witnessed her hair once she was done it was nice and neat!! I am the friend that said something about the front of her hair because I noticed it was shorter… I made a suggestion because the client made a comment on it and seemed frustrated!! Chop handled the situation very well and explained to the client on how she could curl the front due to the shortness of her hair and she even showed her and curled it over. Not to mention…. She didn’t even charge her

My first time experiencing shop was so confusing, there’s no structure. When you come in you have about 5 ladies sitting waiting to be serviced and some may be under the dryer, but there’s too many people for 1 person, and it’s impossible to get that many people serviced in a manner time. She doesn’t respect appointment time, and she also takes walks in. You come in and get a ticket number and wait. She values how many customers she get in a whole day rather than quality/quantity. Mind you at this time she would have a wash/bowl person and a person that molds your hair down so all she would have to do is style your hair. But this made things a lot hectic and even slower. Her assistants would be outside goofing off when they should be helping and even sometimes wouldn’t know what they were doing. I believe my 2nd appointment was actually smooth, other than her saying she will be late because she was waiting on her babysitter. Which would’ve been my 3rd appointment was my last straw. I know every time my appointment comes if theres not one of many inconveniences. So I texted her an hour before. Why at the last minute are you telling me that you are doing hair at your house. Her telling me to bring product tells me you weren’t prepared to even do my hair at the house, or decided last minute that she wasn’t going to drive from Southfield to Dearborn to only do 1-4 heads when you can do it from the convenience from your house. And then she proceeds to say no one normally minds, which is not a mindset you should have. Each client is different and she gets new clients every day, as a profession you want to notify your clients on your locations change and environment beforehand. She also knows that her customer service is terrible that she tries to accommodate with serving dinner, and a dj. As a hairstylist there should be no reason why you are adding things to enhance your clients customer service experience when you are having trouble specializing in the customer service you already provide. It’s ghetto, overstimulating, and sometimes she brings liquor for her and her clients. Is this a party or a hair salon? She operates like she does hair from home and even if she did, she forgets she runs a business. Her clients know how she gets down and they may have got used to her antics but this will not be something I will settle with just because you do good work. And it’s sad to see how talented she is but I had to tell so many people that liked my hair not to go with her because they will not be happy. She is already popular but she would have a lot more opportunities and consistent clients if she would work on proper ways to run a business .
