CHOP SHOP SALON

This was the worse experience I have ever had at a beauty salon. Upon walking in I was greeted with "Have a seat" there was nothing friendly nor warm upon walking in. Against my better judgement I sat down and I only waited about 20 minutes and was washed and molded no towel clothing wet with moose and was placed under the dryer. During my dryer time two ladies got into an argument due the level of service and attitude she received. It got to the point I felt unsafe, at this point I text my stylist and asked her for an eta and she immediately called me and advised that she was coming in from out of town. Of which she did warn me however she pushed my appointment to accommodate her travel schedule. I had already spent 2 hours waiting and now she is telling me she has not left the airport yet I politely got up and left. I have never met this stylist her phone demeanor is nice however her time management skills are very poor and disrespectful. I even left knowing that I would forfeit my deposit it was not worth asking for it back. I can recoup $25 I cant get the 2 hours I spent unproductively on Mother's Day in an unsafe environment.The lack of professionalism was so such a surprise because her work is so great. Being dissapointed is an understatement. Every single person getting serviced was upset and the environment was very low grade. I would never go back nor recommend this stylist or salon to anyone ever.

As a first time client at the shop, I received horrible service. The girl perming and washing my hair was drinking liquor, the bottle looked like Dusee. She subsequently got perm in my eye and I have burns on the back of my neck. Being 1 of the 4 women waiting to get my hair done, The stylist rushed and put no care or attention into doing my hair. She didn't even attempt to give me the hair style I wanted. She did a rushed job, literally moving very fast on my head. When I told her I didn't like my hair, she asked no questions, she hurried and took the apron off and call the next girl in. My hair was done carelessly and it showed, my hair turned out horrible! Beware!!!

I referred my cousin to this place and she booked.the owner cancelled the appointment because her son’s birthday…. Mind you her schedule was open. She called the night before her appointment to cancel and promised to rebook with no deposit. The site automatically charged one so she was to take it off of the price of service. She arrives and finds out she cannot get her hair done because the texture of her hair and neither deposit would be refunded.

The absolute best place to go if you’re looking for someone that specializes in short hair! Fast & efficient. I was in & OUT with 1.5hrs. I let Chop know my preferred length then allow her to be creative and she doesn’t miss in the talent department! Chop is always thinking of new ways to improve and maintain great customer service in addition to providing an ambiance, whether it’s food or music, she wants everyone to enjoy their experience!

Only giving 3 stars because of the customer service. The styling/service was always on point and the owner is very talented. However, there were several occasions where my appointments were pushed back or rescheduled but I chose to stick with coming here because of the quality of work. The most recent time I had my birthday appointment booked out at least a month in advance. I confirmed it 3 weeks ahead and then 2 days before my birthday I text to confirm again and was told that she couldn’t do it. That was frustrating because had I not confirmed, I’m not sure when I would have been told my appointment was cancelled. She told me I could come in the day before my birthday but I wanted my hair to be fresh and also didn’t want to risk getting stood up again. I was referred to someone else for my hair, by a friend, and when telling the stylist that I found someone else she unfollowed me from Instagram. There is definitely so much potential but the customer service and communication needs a lot of work. I would still recommend if you are flexible and patient.

Chop is the absolute best short hair stylist. When you get in her chair she always makes you feel welcome. She takes her time and listen listen to any concerns and always have great recommendations for your hair. It takes her less than 15mins to create a masterpiece with your short hair I will forever be a client of hers ❤️❤️.

Do not book here. I booked my mom two appointments one on Valentine’s Day, She called the night before and canceled, then expected me to rebook and pay another $20 deposit. I rebooked and neither were honored after i paid two separate deposit of $20. She also never refunded my $40, very unprofessional, and dry. She also never answers the phone or try to resolve any issue that come up. If you are too busy to keep up with books and your clients maybe you need an assistant. This is the very reason people don’t support black businesses.

Highly recommend, made my big chop journey come to life. Very fast and professional. Book with her you wont regret i.
