I purchased a few last minute holiday gifts online from Chop Suey Club located in NYC. I live in Iowa, in the Midwestern portion of the US. The order was shipped promptly and the package arrived with time to spare! All items were packaged really well, done so with care and attention to detail. The aesthetic appeal of the packaging itself adds even more awesomeness to this purchase! Additionally, the unique variety and versatile selection of merchandise available is fantastic. Something for everyone, really cool. It was my first purchase but will not be my last! Thank you CSC! I hope to visit your shop in person someday in the future, too! (-:

I have had the best experience in this store each time i’ve been, but especially most recently when a beautiful piece of jewelry i recently bought at the store broke. Serafin was so lovely and was gracious enough to replace it; they were overall so kind and made me feel so welcome. So sad the store is closing but will be continuing as a customer online!!

Purchased a few items in December, including a candle. None of which were final sale. The shaped character candle came broken and the shirt purchased was the wrong fit. I’ve tried contacting several times to initiate a return which they require you to do. It’s been over a month and I’ve now sent 4 emails with no response.

My husband and I booked a mahjong table with an instructor last week. We were brand new to the game. It was fabulous! The instructor was patient, friendly, and fun. The space and experience was perfect. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful evening with 6 friends learning to play mahjong at the Chop Suey Club. Our teacher Carol was fun and patient. It is a terrific fast paced game. I can’t wait to play again.

A catered collection of unique designed goods and baubles with an East Asian cultural focus. They often have unique items and are authorized retailers for pieces otherwise difficult to source in the US. I love their jade ring collection and always look forward to the events they host.

I like to support small businesses but the service is just not there. The item isn’t shown as advertised and I required to return my purchased item twice, yet none of their people responded my email EVER. I suggest to either check the item at store or just don’t buy from them at all cause their customer service is a nightmare.

Love this place. Made a trip before Christmas and found great gifts for the family. Super cute store & friendly staff. Definitely coming back soon!

Unique wares and items from Asian artists. We bought a dish and baby card from there. It's definitely worth checking out. Great souvenirs and unique gifts!

this place was really cool. lots of nice gifts to choose from. friendly service. loved the greeting cards! some stuff was a little pricey for me but the cards were around 5.00 or 5.50? i forgot but it's still a nice place.

Unique says it best! The incense is so cool and literally only found there in the entire US. The chosen designers are really cool - like I really wanted the opera gloves with chain bracelets but can't find anywhere else on the internet. Store is tiny with a big punch. You will be sure to find something for yourself or as a gift that maybe 1 or 2 other people have but doesn't that epitomize NYC?! We like limited, exclusive, OOK especially with an edge. Support small business and check out something different.

Love this place! Stopped in for the first time today and they had such a nice selection. Very happy with my purchase and will be back again soon. Super cute & great quality. The member of the team who assisted me was lovely & helpful as well!

This store is so cool! They have this cool display of things you'd find in an everyday shop. The items they have are super unique so don't expect to find anything inexpensive here!

The shop is very nice! They sell a wide variety of items from white rabbit candy packs to eye accessories. It has a great atmosphere and the owner is really sweet~ She was very willing to answer any questions about the products. I especially love the eyeglasses by Percy Lau which have the pearls on them as well as the 'Make America Great Again' hats (30% of the money made is donated to the ACLU!). I've added photos. Chop Suey Club had some of the coolest wares I found in NYC. Focusing on art and design from China, this small shop packs a visual punch - I hadn't seen anything like the eyewear collection here (and I -had- to have a pair of the Percy Lau "Axis Y" sunglasses!). The objects curated by Chop Suey Club are not inexpensive, but they are unique and stand apart from anything else I saw on my trip, in their design and origin. If your taste in accessories and art veers toward edgy, and you're on the lookout for unique finds, make sure to stop by the shop, or at least check out the website.

This is the only spot in NYC where you can get amazing, high-quality goods and gifts from Chinese artisans. It's a small, intimate space where all of the merchandise was curated to the smallest detail, but there's also an interesting variety of options - everything from jewelry to sunglasses to art books and clothing. My favorite pieces were the silk sleeping sets and the earrings made of different stones! Some of the items are a bit pricey, but the quality and uniqueness makes it well worth it! Come for the holidays and shower your friends with eclectic presents (as opposed to yet another blender...) The only other place in the city with similar vibes is Pearl River Mart, but it's a very, VERY distant second and some of their branding/selection is problematic and 'exoticizes' Chinese culture.

Love this spot. The owner really takes time to let u know about her products and everything is so well curated. Her products almost feels one of a kind as they are all high end boutique chinese designers who only produce small batches. Love the tee i got with a melty smiley on it. :) Jewelry and glasses collections are great too!! So many random little well made and practical things!!

Amazing design store, tugged away in the corner of Chinatown and two s, that curates contemporary Chinese artists and designers.

Charming little arty-punky shop with stuff from little known designers. If I was bold enough I'd come here for clothes to look like a protagonist from a William Gibson novel. And there's a cool story behind all the products too.

Cool place nice design and trendy. Affordable price but a bit on the pricier side. Nice staff,clean and organized place and nice atmosphere. A very cute interior

Very cool and edgy boutique with some amazing art and design products. The lady who owns this shop is incredible and happens to be beautiful.
