Chopped & Served

I have used Chopped and Served for business events in the past and was pleased with their service, so I hired them for my 72-year-old mother’s wedding. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. My mother and her husband were charged $3,000 for a poorly presented charcuterie board that looked like a few basic platters from Costco. It was nowhere near the quality we expected, especially given the price. The church also tried to contact Chopped and Served ahead of time to discuss setup, but their calls went unanswered. When I followed up, I was told that my mother should have informed them that the church would be reaching out, a response that felt dismissive. Although the “General Manager” acknowledged that the display was inconsistent with their usual work and understood our disappointment, they refused to offer any refund. Despite having grounds to pursue legal action, my mother’s husband, a former restaurant owner, chose to take the high road and not file a claim. He believed they might be facing hard times and decided to move on, a decision that reflects his integrity, not theirs. I’m genuinely disappointed to have to share this experience, but I feel it’s important to warn others so that no one else is taken advantage of in this way.

Chef Imani is the best! The City of Lakes Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. utilized her for two events. One was for our teen group who learned the history and how to make chicken and waffles from scratch and the second was on a regional level when we hosted our Children's Cluster. At Cluster she facilitated a food challenge where the children created items using healthy food choices. On both occasions, our children absolutely loved her and wanted her to come back. Her energy and positivity are contagious, and the food was delish! Please support this minority owned business. You will not regret it!

Imani and her team did a great job catering my sister’s grad party! I’ve hired her several times since then, they run a thorough team and I never have to worry about anything after I book them!
