Google
I have visited a few times and was waiting to give an honest review, not just based on one or two visits. To begin with, the restaurant is really nice and modern, but sadly, the flies that hang around your food are not cool. It seems like in each visit there has been at least one fly, sometimes more flying around our tables. The food itself is excellent, and we have not had any issues with the taste. I definitely recommend the Farmers Combo and Asada Sunrise. The pancakes topped with bananas and strawberries are amazing and definitely recommend them. Service has been hit or miss. Overall, even though service starts off rough, it does end up getting better by the end of our meal. Overall, if the fly issue was fixed and service improved a tad, I would definitely rate them a 5.

Google
Becca was our server, and we had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was at half capacity, and she checked on us frequently. We never had to ask for a drink refill; she was always on top of it. She was also very helpful with the menu, offering assistance and answering all our questions. Best server we have ever had!

We went with a family of 6 on Saturday morning during brunch so there was quite a wait to get in but that was expected. The manager came by and gave us some delicious scones for our wait which was appreciated. They were very busy and the service was just okay because of it. We waited about 30 minutes for our food after we ordered but everything was hot and delicious from the eggs and pancakes to the lamb chops and burgers. The quality of all the food is very good no matter what you get here!

Serving sizes are huge. Flavor is 10/10. Try their Dubai Chocolate pancakes. The pancakes also came with 3 cage free eggs, 3 meats of your choice, and potatoes. Only downside was the host could have been more friendly she wasn’t mean but her customer service was not up to par as the rest of the staff which everyone was so kind and welcoming. Bathrooms also need some serious deep cleaning. It is worth to invest in professional cleaning for a business so wonderful like this one. Overall super satisfied and we seriously wanted to come back again the next morning before our 6 hr trip back home.

10 out of 10!!!! Loved everything. First we were told the wait was going to be 35 minutes, it was only 10. Our waiter Jeremy was prompt, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My family collectively had the seafood omelette, the lamb bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, the honey grits, and the Dubai chocolate pancakes. Everything was amazing!

Google
This was hands down the best thing I’ve eaten! The presentation alone was stunning — a masterpiece with bold garnishes and a dramatic knife standing tall. The flavors were out of this world: crispy, golden perfection on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, all smothered in a rich, savory sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was comforting yet elevated, and the portion was generous without sacrificing quality. This dish didn’t just meet my expectations — it blew them away. If you’re looking for something unforgettable, this is it. I’d come back just for this meal! My family and I truly enjoyed this experience. I wish this restaurant was close to home.

Google
This is my second time here, and I'm so satisfied. The first time, they tried their lamb chops, and it was so delicious and tender. Today, I got the chicken fried stake, and it was massive. They never disappoint and the staff is wonderful. Never have to wait. Everyone is played back and pleasant. Definitely a place you need to stop in and try. Don't forget dessert Dubai chocolate waffle.

Google
Chops & Eggs has quickly become our go to spot, we eat here weekly and every single meal is consistently perfect. Pictured are two of our dinner favorites: Tender lamb tips with mushrooms, rich brown gravy over creamy mashed potatoes and the 16oz prime New York strip, cooked to absolute perfection and served with mash and fresh asparagus. Both dishes are not only beautifully presented but bursting with flavor. As someone with a gluten allergy, I’m always impressed by how many safe and delicious options are available. The care they put into accommodating dietary needs is rare and so appreciated. Chef Jordan is truly exceptional his love and passion for food shines through in every bite. The prices are reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the welcoming atmosphere makes us feel like family. We always leave full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

Yelp
From the outside, very unassuming place. We arrived at 10 am on a Monday morning and got one of the last available parking spots so I assumed good things were ahead. That was an understatement as we were greeted immediately at the door where we noticed on a video playing that they are very farm to table and make their own corned beef as well as other items on the menu. Our waitress promptly greeted us after being seated and took our drink order. The menu has many options but some of their breakfast stars are the various hash offerings. I had the corned beef hash which is served with a large biscuit and two pasture raised eggs (your choice) while my wife had the crab hash served the same way. Food arrived quickly served in a cast iron skillet and was delicious. Portions are generous so come hungry! Mikayla took excellent care of us during our meal and all the servers seemed to be doing likewise with their customers. The food is a cut above your normal breakfast place as wife's hash was full of crab and her over easy eggs were cooked well. My scrambled eggs were also cooked nicely and I almost couldn't finish my corned beef hash due to the large portion. All in, this is a great spot and we will come back to check out some of their other dishes. Well done!

Yelp
I'm thoroughly impressed with the breakfast from chops and eggs. My husband and I both had hash and it was so delicious and flavourful. The portion sizes are huge so definitely getting a great bang for your buck. The service was also super friendly and very fast for a Saturday morning. Only downside is that there were plenty of flies flying around the establishment so you had to be on guard to make sure they didn't land on the food. If they could get that under control this place would be a 5/5 in my books.

Yelp
I had the best burger ever tonight. The cheese cake was to die for. will definitely have it again.

Yelp
This is a great place for breakfast lunch or dinner items. The serving size is amazingly large and food is delicious. The service is prompt. The hospitality is warm and inviting. Even the coffee is wonderful! The staff is very attentive. Bring your family and enjoy!

Yelp
We went on a day trip to the beach and tried out Chops & Eggs on a recommendation from family. We are very happy we gave it a try, as it was, overall, a very delicious and satisfying meal. The ambience is a little odd and disjointed, with sports on TVs giving a sports bar feel, random decor giving eclectic diner vibes, and the overall layout seeming more formal. A designer's input would not go amiss for the interior. We were greeted and seated quickly and began perusing the rather large menu. So many items sounded delish! We ended up ordering the fried green tomatoes and corn bites for our appetizers and beef tips and the 10oz sirloin for our meals. I got the house salad with my meal and they generously swapped out the salad for a cup of the tomato basil soup for my husband (who doesn't eat salad). The apps came out in a timely manner and we were suitably impressed by the tower of tomatoes! Each app came with house made dipping sauces which added some lovely heat to each bite. The tomatoes were crispy on the outside and well done inside, I ate them all as I knew they would never reheat and still be edible. We took most of the corn bites home with us. The salad was fresh and the dressing had a nice bite to it, it was also a generous portion. The soup didn't come out until after the entrees for some reason, and wasn't very hot, unfortunately. We took most of that home as well. We also had a difficult time getting our waters refilled, our waiter would disappear for long periods of time back into the kitchen. The star of the night was the beef tips, which were tender and savory, with a lovely au jus gravy with mushrooms, carrots, and onions swimming in it over a bed of mashed potatoes. It was a joy to eat and my husband much preferred it to his steak, which was sadly very overdone (he ordered medium, it came well done). We also had to ask for gravy for his mashed taters, and they came dry, which we found kind of odd. Who eats dry mashed potatoes unless they are topped with cheese? Anyway, we left quite stuffed and with enough leftovers for a whole other meal. This will be our go-to stop when we come to the beach!

Yelp
Who knew that incredible vegan breakfast existed in Corpus?? This quaint restaurant with country vibes is the perfect breakfast or dinner spot. They serve breakfast all day long and the service is great and fast! My favorite items are the Vegan Beef Omelette and the Vegan Hash!

Terry H.

Yelp
Unbelievable place. Every dish impressed me. Super fun menu & amazing stall. The owner/chef makes sure it all is perfect.

David M.

Yelp
Disappointed.. Was having a pleasant breakfast, until I discovered bottom of waffle was burnt. Guess chef didn't feel up to making another.. It was quite obvious. Didn't care to wait another 1/2 hr to remake. Had to ask for condiments 3x also. Good coffee at least.

Yelp
The food is just okay, I'm not sure why everyone raves about the food. The service was definitely great, it felt like a cozy place to visit. You can tell it is definitely not clean and had a diner feel, which is fine but that's not what we thought it would be. I ordered avocado/guacamole toast (I think it was called), it was horrible. It was bread, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, bacon and egg whites, in that order. On top was spiced pecans and then for some reason a sprig of rosemary. Adding hot eggs on top of the bacon like that made the bacon soggy and was unappetizing. I'm not sure why we had rosemary sprigs on top even though our dishes didn't have rosemary in them. Very weird. My husband thought the omelette was okay, nothing to write home about. The best part were my potatoes and the kids waffle which you could get anywhere. We definitely don't recommend, there are other places for breakfast that are better in town.

Yelp
Massive servings--well worth the reasonable prices! Service was decent as expected due to this being especially fast paced and busy during brunch hours. It was loud inside the restaurant but we've no complaints as it made for fun people-watching. Definitely returning to try different menu options!

Breana A.

Yelp
4 stars on food alone.. service was not good waited for awhile for even silverware after our food came out. Had to go ask a manager cause the server forgot. Also asked about a shot never got word back or anything. Chicken and waffles were amazing

Yelp
Great food and great service. Definitely recommend the omelets and coffee is good too.

Yelp
Chops and eggs! A weird find in Corpus Christi and even more in the Bluff. The food itself was very good. Service was fine. The place itself is kind of a cold salute to all things America you can find at a Hobby Lobby -- but hey, this is Corpus, not Vegas. Highlights to the biscuit! It was big and tasty. Lowlights to the home fries. They felt like they came from a bag, frozen. Also, I hate to say it but the coffee was bad. No body, thin flavor. Also, what's the deal with no regular bacon? Regardless, this place is a breath of fresh air for Corpus even if it's not quite a realized vision. Come for the food and you won't leave hungry, guaranteed.

Yelp
Only 4 stars bc there's room for improvement with the cleanliness of this place. The service was phenomenal - ask for Mari! She's so attentive and sweet! The food was delicious and quick!

Mariam A.

Yelp
I'm from Dubai and this place has the best authentic Dubai chocolate I tried in the states! and no wonder to why the chef himself grew up in Dubai. The flavor is so rich from the Belgium chocolate and PISTACHIOS. For the first time I had the pistachio flavor with the cheesecake and crepes!! Talk about hospitality where do I even start- we came in 30 minutes before they closed and they did not rush us and was recommending us orders to try past closing time, in addition to a complementary Dubai chocolate cheesecake. Definitely coming back next time i'm visiting Corpus

Yelp
Food servings are generous and the food presentation is very pleasing to the eye. Wait staff are Friendly & prompt. The atmosphere has a warm country feel. Pricing is reasonable for the portion size.

Yelp
We have been here a few times before, and the food is good-today, we stopped on a whim. My husband ordered a vegan omelet, I the quinoa and beet salad. Now, the description of this salad did not include beets, although it wa in the name, so I specifically asked our server if it had them, she asked another server and it was confirmed that indeed, it had beets. Of course, when it came-no beets. so I pointed this out to our server, and the manager came over. (mind you, we were all very polite during these exchanges). Evidently they were totally out of beets. he offered to take it off our bill, and just charge for the (extra) eggs I had requested on top of the salad. Totally acceptable, and I appreciated the offer. when it came time to pay, both the manager and server offered to box up the salad for us as "it will only be thrown away". again, acceptable, and unexpected. I have to give kudos to both the server and the manager for the way they handled this kind of weird situation, and I will be more inclined to return given their excellent way of handling this issue.

Yelp
Chef Jordan, a Michelin-starred master, knows how to create the perfect harmony of flavors! Every dish on the menu is absolutely delicious--you can't go wrong with anything you order. Plus, they offer meeting space! Don't miss out--go see Chef Jordan!
google avatar

Yelp
Our server Jeremy was super helpful and pleasant, helping us navigate options and getting special dietary info. Chef Jordon prepared a special Gluten Free and Dairy Free sandwich for my wife which far exceeded our expectations. Then he came out to talk with us about it and his Gluten Free experiences. Our experience there was amazing. We will definitely return. Thank you Chop & Eggs!

Yelp
The best place to eat in Corpus Christi! Owner is the sweetest, every worker is so sweet and caring. GO EAT THERE!!! PSA: BREAKFAST QUESADILLA!! DELICIOUS!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was packed. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Decor is interesting as it's a mix of anything and everything. The food was good. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had. I had an omelette as well but that was just okay. A little overcooked. Overall 8/10. We'll be back

T-Ress D.

Yelp
When I tell u this is the best food in corpus I stand on that and bet money on it! The chef was so humble and very hospitable! Besides all the cool art in the restaurant I honestly believe this is the hottest spot for the best food in corpus! Give it a try asap and I can promise you won't be disappointed. Ain't no cook back there it's a legit chef.

MANDIE B.

Yelp
He had the pork chops & eggs. He said it was the best breakfast ever! My breakfast of eggs, bacon & pancakes was delicious as well. The service was great. The atmosphere was nothing special but who care the FOOD speaks for the place. We will be coming back next visit.
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
This place was so good! The breakfast potatoes are perfectly seasoned, eggs made perfect, and thick French toast. The sirloin steak was probably the fattiest sirloin I've ever had, which I get sirloin for minimum fat. The taste was still good though.
google avatar

Aart M.

Yelp
Nice and clean. Friendly staff and prompt service. Food is great. Fair price. So much to decide. Worth several visits. Not your run of the mill place.

Yelp
10/10 AMAZING!!!! The presentation was fantastic!! The Bloody Mary's are a great appetizer on Sunday morning! I can't wait to try more things on the menu!! Don't forget to take that tasty Chipotle sauce home, it makes a delicious marinade for chicken.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Great staple breakfast place. Lots of different breakfast options to choose from as well. Service is always great when we go. Today Saturday at 9am no wait.

Yelp
Very good experience Ok so we are from CT and the North East is known for dinners so admittedly our expectations are most likely much higher on breakfast joints than most in the area. That being said we really had a good breakfast. The hostess and waitress were so nice so service was excellent. The food was very good but I can't go epic with a 5 star review. Again we are used to dinners in the North East and the competition is stiff but everything was cooked great, tasted good and we will be back to try some more dishes and possibly review again. Thanks for the experience guys

Yelp
Busy, busy, showed up around noon on Sunday. Place is pretty busy which is a good sign. Seated quickly as it was just the wife and I. Coffee is good and they put a decanter out for you, so no asking for another cup. I had the pork chops and eggs plus hash browns. Very good. Wife had the corn beef hash and eggs also very tasty. Good food and atmosphere and the staff is on top of everything even though it's crowded. We will be back
google avatar

Carlos A.

Yelp
Always perfectly cooked food, VERY generous portions, and friendly service! Even when it's super busy you never have to wait long for your food

Yelp
The Food was excellent, The service was very good. The Ambiance was a little nosiey, but tolerable, We have been there before and enjoyed it so much we dicided to go back . It's about one hundred and twenty miles from home so a nice Day trip. We celebrated a friends 71 bithday on New years eve.

Yelp
:/ trying so hard to like other dishes besides the chicken + waffle but unfortunately nope... I got an eggs benedict and they asked me how i like the egg and i said "poached" and they came SCRAMBLED!!! she said thats how the eggs benedict here are usually. I have NEVER seen eggs benedict that werent poached and she said she can ask the chef to do poach but it would be an additional cost. so at this point why as me how i like my eggs if its just going to come out standardized scramble? BFFR!!!!!!! id only come back for the chicken + waffles

Nancy D.

Yelp
My husbands fried chicken didn't t have much flavor and the potatoes seemed old. My salmon was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were cold, the brown gravy was good and the asparagus were good and crunchy.
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably the best breakfast restaurant I've ever had. Incredible food, great service, and unique decor and design. Definitely a must have anytime I'm in Corpus!

Yelp
I'm going to be fair with Chops & Eggs with where they stand with me at this and more recent visits. I will, however, say they have been wildly inconsistent with both food preparation and service quality A LOT over the years, even before the pandemic. I also have to preface my review as being skewed towards what I have usually ordered, which is meat and eggs, and not necessarily reflective of what most people come here to eat. This visit was very pleasant. Service was very good, and so was the food. I got the T-Bone & Eggs plate from the Famous Chops section of the menu, which is what I usually get unless I'm getting one of their omelets to go. The atmosphere is alright. It has this country(ish) vibe which I guess makes sense for its Southside patronage. The only thing I can really complain about is the incessant barrage of bro-country, but again, location, so no dings here. I will add that I think it's really cool they do things like using cage free eggs, and offer non-traditional items like duck bacon. All-in-all, not a bad place if you're on the Southside and are looking for a good country breakfast, brunch or supper!

Aracely H.

Yelp
Since I was alone for the holidays I wanted to come get a waffle from Chops & eggs. Timing, service & appearance was all great. I ordered a strawberry banana waffle but there were EGG SHELLS in the batter mix I'm assuming it was a cracked egg & a cook may have left behind the shells because I found lots of cracked egg shells in the waffle. This is my second time eating here and I really want to come back.

Yelp
Firstly, the plain has potatoes are TO DIE FOR!!! They are perfect! I wanted to give this place 5 stars because the food and service (from our server) was incredible! The ambiance is not inviting; it is hectic, parking is a nightmare, the wait in BEYOND long, the restaurant is dirty, & other waitstaff were outright rude to their customers and sarcastic. The food is delicious. The chorizo was extra salty and the pancakes were slightly underdone in the center. The hash, eggs, biscuit, and bacon were perfectly executed. I wish this owner would do a standalone location with plenty of parking and seating. Corpus needs this type of food. The food has personality and the menu has something for EVERYONE.

Miranda C.

Yelp
Wow the food!!! Amazing presentation and just as delicious!!!! Service was incredible and fast.

Daniel W.

Yelp
My new favorite brunch spot! Ordered a couple extra dishes because there's so much to choose from. Had Mark as my waiter and he did an excellent job. Highly recommend!

Robert M.

Yelp
Couldn't give them one star . Literally the dirtiest and unsanitary restaurant I have ever visited. I'm not sure how they stay open . The health inspector really needs to give this place a thorough visit and extensive inspection. Truly would suggest not going here it is disgusting . Though they truly serve big portions of food in order to mask the poor quality meat poor service.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
Food is really good. Service isn't too bad just a little slow. Decor is nice. There are some good options on the menu.

Ray K.

Yelp
Great vegan options. Pleasantly surprised. Also, the wait staff was very efficient and friendly.

Juan F.

Yelp
was super excited to try this place out had heard great review about this place. Came in on a Sunday mornin for family breakfast and sad this place disappointed The first wait we were told was 20 to 30 minutes then around the 25 minute mark we went to go check the wait was 5-10 minute. We completely understand that I'd was a busy Sunday morning however it was the way the little girl working the front with glasses acted when we had simply asked after the 5-10 minute wait. She was rude for no reason I completely understand the str of having to operate a packed house however this stress should not be noticeable to a paying customer. I hope next time we decide to visit this establishment it's the service has improve.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Huge portions. Restaurant appears dirty and rundown. Dining tables too closely packed into a small space. I ordered the Twisted Avocado Toast with egg whites and spinach, a healthy entree choice. The chef topped the meal with candied pecans! Why destroy a delicious meal with a sugary snack! Made no sense at all.

Alicia J.

Yelp
Food portions are always huge and the prices are so worth it! I've never ordered anything I haven't liked! The service was perfect and inviting.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Stopped by today for some breakfast. Had the chicken and waffles. Great portion, but subpar food. Waffles were soft like they were sitting in a warmer waiting to be served not a hint of crisp to them. The chicken was crispy, but not very flavorful. My breakfast partners said biscuit was disappointing nothing like the picture and coffee was bad.
google avatar

Leanette A.

Yelp
Always a good time a little pricey but well worth it the food is delicious the biscuits are even better and the lamb chops are out of this world

Tammy K.

Yelp
Got there at 5PM. Left there at 5:18PM. Should have known there was a problem when we walked in and had to wait and wait and wait for someone to come to the front. There was ONE other table there eating with a baby...not another single patron. Waited and waited and waited for someone to #1, come out and #2, acknowledge us. Waitress finally came out and pretended not to see us TWICE. Stood there on the phone with her back turned to us. Decided their service was going to obviously suck so we left and wont be back. Good freaking grief!
google avatar

Raquel D.

Yelp
We had the crepes with loganberries, and the Salmon Hash breakfast. Super delicious, very generous portions, good pricing. I'm very likely to return next time I'm in town.
