Love this place! Their salads are so creative and always fresh and delicious. They’re also very fast if you have a short lunch break.

The Chopt in Ballston is a gem! It’s just a block from my office, so it’s become my go-to spot for a healthy lunch. Everything is crisp, colorful, and flavorful! The dressings are delicious (Mexican Goddess is my favorite!) and portions are generous without being heavy. The staff here are always friendly and efficient, even during the lunch rush. I usually try to sneak over a bit early before noon to beat the crowd, and it’s always a smooth experience. If you’re in the area and looking for a quick, wholesome meal that actually tastes great, I highly recommend the Chopt Ballston location!

I use their app to order from this Chop’t location 2-3 times a week and it’s always quickly made and delicious!

Last night I had the pleasure to experience one of the most sastisfactory customer service experiences I’ve had in a while! The lady, Sophia, was attentive, pleasant, with a big smile. After a long day of work I needed someone like her to give me back a smile too!

Great service. Food never disappointed us. Been there for both take out and dine in. Definitely a go to place for a healthy meal option!

I like Chopt salads and especially like the kiosks in this location. It greatly speeds up getting your order. My only complaint is that they need to stop letting homeless people come in and sleep at the tables. A woman was asleep at a table for over half an hour without buying anything. Nobody said anything while paying customers had nowhere to sit.

The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. They even added small complimentary touches that made the meal feel extra special. Highly recommended

Maybe it's the workers? Or the salad I got today? But I loved my chopt salad! I had the Southwestern Steak salad and swapped out black beans and pickled red onions with sweet potato and carrots. The chipotle ranch is divineeeeee. I only had one little container bc I was scared that I wouldn't like it, but I was scrapping the sides for my salad lol. It definitely is expensive, but the salad is HUGE. I'm more than full post-gym. Definitely a treat in the future but I will def go back!

This Chopt salad place is close to my gym and I have been coming here for lunch on occasions. They have a tv to show order status and several tablets for ordering. The orders are placed on shelves which is easy for customers to grab. I have been in love for years with their Santa Fe chicken salad mixed in their recommended salad sauce. What makes the Ballston location unique is its efficiency and accuracy. They get my order right and on time. Will recommend!

Good salads, on the pricey side but guess you pay more for healthy ingredients. There's no way to order with a person so you'll either use an iPad or just use your phone before you get there. Limited seating inside so you may need to take it to go.

I recently ordered the miso ginger bowl from Chopt and the flavor was overall excellent. I ordered the bowl with some dressing mixed in and another serving on the side. The dressing, while delicious, was not actually mixed in and was just in the container on the side. The bowl's ratio of the various ingredients was well balanced and allowed for a mostly even bite of flavor each time. As this was a delivery order I cannot comment on the service other than to say it arrived on time and with no damage to any of the food included. I had ordered bread with my bowl but I think it may have been lost in transit.

I ordered delivery as they had a deal going for free delivery! I believe it continues until Dec 19th, 2022. I ordered a kale chicken caesar salad. When the bowl arrived I was surprised at its size. For $12, I expected a large heavily topped salad. Unfortunately there were minimal toppings and the dressing to greens ratio was lacking. The taste was good though! I would try this place out again, but would likely go in person to ensure adequate amount of dressings and toppings are placed. They appear to be mixing the toppings in to hide the small amount they are putting. I felt most bites were kale and lettuce only which are the cheapest part of a salad and not worth the price tag. Additionally, they provide bread as a side option. I ended up throwing it away as it was tough and soured tasting as well as being very very small in portion.

My go to! I always get the Kale Caesar as a wrap so decided to try the salad this time. Easy to order and pick up.

The salad was expensive and not very flavorful. I will likely not be returning even though the salad was ready quickly.

4/5 because it's their soft opening and I'm sure they will improve quickly. Chopt is probably the 20th fast-casual in Ballston now and I was excited to give it a try. Today (July 12, 2022) was their "Chopt Gives Day" where 100% of their sales will be given to "Real Food for Kids". If you want to try Chopt today, you'll have to order through their website or app. The interior is sleek (minimal seating though) with a few kiosks you could use to order. There's also a whole wall of shelves for online pick up orders and a TV screen to let you know which shelf your order is sitting. It's pretty convenient, but kind of extra, lol. I attached some pictures in my review for reference. SPICY SONOMA CAESAR SALAD - 12.29 There's a bit of cilantro mixed in (ew) that wasn't advertised in the description but that's OK. Overall, the bowl is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and there's not much chicken. The chicken pieces were small pieces and didn't look anything like the picture on their website. My salad barely had any chicken. I like the avocados mixed in and the creamy Caesar dressing was decent. The salad was pretty small and not super filling, also more pricy than I would like. However, I'm glad that at least they're donating today's proceeds to an organization. If I come back, I'll probably try a different salad or rice bowl.

Superb service for a busy lunchtime! The attentive manager greeted every customer that came inside. The food was excellent and quickly made. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick healthy meal!

This spot is conveniently located across from the Ballston Quarter mall. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Bowl at the self-service station, where my name appeared on the screen, allowing me to track my place in line. They ran out of one ingredient but generously offered extra protein as a substitute. Overall my experience was seamless, and I would recommend it. Fresh ingredients too

First, I LOVE CHOPT!!! Chopt over Sweetgreen, all day, everyday! I work near by and was happy to learn that a Chopt was opening in this area. This location operates differently from all the other Chopt locations that I've visited because you HAVE to order your salad via the app or a kiosk on premises. This would usually give me a little trepidation because not everyone follows instructions but I've never had an issue...and my salad is always ready at the time they tell you (or before).

Whenever I want a fresh, made to order, customizable salad, I head to CHOPT. I decided to check out this location, as it is close to my job. I wasn't disappointed. Service is quick and the establishment was clean. Located on a busy part of Wilson BLVD, there are plenty of places to park. The cashier suggested a maple flavored tea, which was decent. Check them out

The service was good but the food just was a miss. There are much better options for a salad around the area.

Pros: fast delivery. I thought my salad was absolutely massive, to the point I couldn't finish it. Pounds for eco friendly packaging. Cons: soda I ordered wasn't included in the delivery. I got dressing on the side and for a salad of that size I think 2 dressing would have been better. I was worried to not get it on cause sometimes it's absolutely drenched but I ate a 2/3 dry salad. I think the toppings to lettuce ratio was way off- I got the chipotle chicken salad but I want to say there was 10 pieces of small cubed chicken and not much else. Each extra topping was extra but I guess I thought my salad would have tons of toppings. I'll give it another try- it's new so they will work things out.

Chopt used to be good years ago but every time I go in these days, I don't enjoy it. Ordered a salad in the store to go and the chicken was falling apart (not in a good way), it was drenched in way too much dressing, and I found a hair. I have short hair so I know it couldn't have come from me because this hair was long and wavy... The only reason why I gave it more than one star is because while the food isn't great, the staff are always nice. The order was ready to go pretty quickly as well.

Food is always fresh, made quickly, and accurate. I appreciate the entirely plant based options and the food is healthy! Will continue to eat at this place consistently.

I'm a frequent customer at this restaurant chain, but I'm not a big fan of this particular location at all. The customer service experience and general ambiance have a slot left too be desired. I do not like the self serve kiosks, and there is literally no other way to place an order at this location, except if you happen to have their mobile app. Every other location have normal registers and employees working behind the counter who take your order. The kiosk here is so convuluted it's not an easy ordering experience at all. It's not the same type of kiosk that you will find at the most popular fast food restaurant, the ones here have very few instructions, and determining which ingredients are included in their signature salad is not so straightforward. Secondly, the kiosk asks if you would like to include a too when you get to the point of payment. A tip for what? For the non-existent interaction with anyone who works here? The top request is there even before they prepare the salad mind you, so it makes one wonder if whoever faceless person who prepares your salad will prepare it well when they see that you did not include a tip. I didn't for today's transaction and the bowl was only 3/4 full! I had to embarrassingly ask them to add more! Not a fan of this location.

I love chopt, more than sweetgreen. But unlike sweetgreen, chopt franchises are uneven. The one by the white house? Amazing consistently. The one in Rosslyn? Don't bother. I've now been to the ballston location twice and both times received an excellent product. I like my salads to be a bit more chopped (as it were) so I note that in my app order and both times ballston got it perfect. I'm so excited to have this so close to home. I'll be a regular.

Hogtied by Greed. Chopt "used to be" the best salad around. Better than any of the competition nearby, certainly. This location could be great because it is right in the heart of Ballston. Went in a few minutes ago, not a customer in the place. Or a salad, for that matter. Counter man steers me to the kiosk. I start my order. It was the usual Chopt menu. I customize the order. I'm ready to go..... and then.... Nothing. Once you add your salad, you're done, right? No. No sir, you are not done. Not until Chopt says so. If you try to just add your salad and pay you are out of luck. One window and then another keep coming up. And I'm touching this and that. And I'm trying. Now it looks like my order is over $27. Wrong. Can't close it out, can't fix it, you are just....stuck. Thinking, "well, this could have been fun...." I go to the next kiosk. And then the next one. And the next.... Ten minutes has passed. No salad, no activity, no nothing. Chopt corporation has a lot of questions for you. I looked around.... nothing. I'm still the only guy in the place. So I'm done. Walked two minutes to Sweetgreen, got the whole salad fixed in four minutes flat, out the door. Do not recommend you go to this location. Idiots.

I like the salads at Chopt because they are always fresh, you have a wide selection of dressings and the portion is generous. BUT, the majority of the time I go there, my salad isn't made the way I want it. The one thing that I don't like is the fact that they chop the salad into mush. So, I ask for no chopping or light chopping and of course when I get back to my office.....I have mush. The other issue is if you ask to change the dressing from the one on the menu to another selection that they offer. Some salads come with a spicy dressing. I like spicy foods but not a spicy salad. My request is always ignored so now, I get my lunch salads from Cava. So long Chopt.

This is not as good as other chopt locations. They don't seem to know how to mix the salad well. In my salad today instead of chopping up the avocado I had a full half of an avocado that was not broken up and it was all the way near the bottom. It seems like this place just grabs the ingredients and places them in there without mixing or chopping.

Food was awful. Chicken was grey and processed. Tomatoes were mealy. Warm bowl was mostly rice. Super regrettable meal. Wound throwing most of it away. Will NEVER return.

My first and probably last time going to Chopt. I ordered a warm grain bowl and the rice was so dry and undercooked it felt like I was biting into tiny pieces of rock with every bite. I was afraid I was going to break a tooth if I kept eating so unfortunately I had to discard the rest of the bowl.

Salad tasted awful. So dense with cabbage and greenery-- very low on the protein (must have been one sliver of chicken chopped up, and it tasted off). Low on the accouterments except the shrubbery. Parched on dressing (asked for medium). Just a sad sad dry lunch. Bad. Would never order again.
