They’ve got a selection of salad options, or you can make your own. They also allow for substitutions. I really appreciate that list each farm that they get their vegetables from. The inside has a decent number of tables, and you can get a free water.

Came in and ordered the Southwest Steak Salad and Michelle took my order and she was delightful and very accommodating. I appreciate the attention to detail of my order and placing condiments on the side.

I picked everything I wanted in my crazy salad and the staff was patient and answered when I asked what pretty much everything option was they had to put in. Also, the salad was delicious and HUGE and so filling

I had the best experience when I stopped by for some food. The person that assisted me was named Michelle and she was amazing. She was extremely friendly, smiled and helped me choose what to get as it was my first time here. She definitely made my experience great! Will be coming back and recommending others to stop by! My girlfriend and I love coming to this Chopt location. The staff here always are so friendly and take care of us so well. We come here multiple times a week for lunch, even though it's a 15 minute walk!

The food is so good and I love the variety of toppings for the salad, there is definitely something for everyone here. The customer service is also great. I ended up getting the sweet apple orchard salad and added pita chips.

Pretty standard salad place - I got the Santa Fe salad and that was really nice. Friendly staff and spacious with enough seating. However, the bread they serve with the salad (for free) is pretty cold and doesn't taste good.

There are obviously several Chopt locations throughout the city, and even though this is the furthest one from me, I will travel here specifically because of the service and quality of my salad every time! This location is clean and has an ample amount of seating as well so whether you're dining in or carrying out - you have the option without feeling rushed. They never skimp on their ingredients, the salad is always chopped well, and they always give me extra dressing or bread if I request it without making it seem like I'm bothering them (has happened at other locations). The servers are all friendly and take their time making the salad instead of just shoveling ingredients into the bowl and making a mess of things. I love meeting my friend here for lunch, it's become our go-to spot over the years and now my daughter even likes it so I try to make a trip once a week to pick up and bring it home!

The food is pretty good. This restaurant is good for takeout, they have good service from what I saw. But the food is pretty overpriced in my opinion. They do give you a really large portion though.

Ordered lunch from this location. Not only was one of the bowls incorrectly prepared (had asked for some items to be left off, they were included anyway) but the biggest reason I will never order from them again was the HAIR in BOTH bowls.

They do not make the salads correctly at this location. I ordered a Classsic Cobb salad today at 3 PM. The first (!) ingredient that the employee placed in the salad was cucumbers. I glanced at the ingredients on the board in front of me under Classic Cobb and as I suspected, cucumbers were not listed (and for good reason, cucumbers are gross). I gently asked the employee why she put cucumbers in my Cobb salad and she looked the board, realized her mistake and to her credit, offered her to make me another salad. But I really dislike wasting food and I didn't want to make her go to the trouble of making another salad so I said it's fine and took my salad to go. But what if I hadn't noticed? What if she has put in an ingredient that I was allergic to? In fact I am allergic to apples which is why I'm vigilant about what they put into my salad. This is just not OK. There are maybe five salads on the menu there. It's not that hard to remember what goes into all of them.

The guy who was making my salad insisted on adding the toppings first and afterwards the base. I never heard of such thing before and I have been eating salads. My salad bowl was a quarter empty. He had terrible attitude. I guess this is the way to save money and screw the customers. I was there around 5:45 pm on 13th of June.

Consistent quality of food and service . True neighborhood gem . I see all types of customers - young and old ; service people and uws fancies. Great for everyone

This is one of my favorite salad chains ever. My goto is the Sante Fe with Fried chicken with Tex Mex dressing. Huge fan of the tex mex dressing and the overall balance of the santa fe salad. The taste and quality has been very consistent in my years of eatings here. Friendly people in this location.

Never order from this place . It's awful . I ordered online and I received the salad totally different with missing ingredients . Bunch of incompetents . Paid for a salad and received a different salad. Forget this place. There are better salad places.

This lovation has an incredibly kind and helpful staff! the patience and helpfulness of this team is a rarity in the city. And you get to end your experience eating a meal made with care and a smile!! If you're in the uws definitely stop by for a good salad from some good people! :)

I have been to this location before and never had a problem when i went into the store. On Sunday I ordered a chicken tinga bowl. I used seamless to place the order at 7:22pm. The estimated delivery time was 7:47pm - 7:57pm. At 8:10 I tried to call them and check in on my order. No one picked up. I continued to call them 6 more times with no answer. No one picked up. My order finally arrived at 9:23, it was the wrong base, super soggy, and just gross looking. I would have canceled the order if someone would have PICKED UP THE PHONE!! So here is the kicker, the next day i went into the store and asked the cashier/manager what happened and told them my experience and he shrugged and said, yeah we were busy. Such horrible customer service!

They were smoking joint. The girl was high and was finding it difficult to make my order. The rice and chicken was not cooked. This whole experience grossed me out.

My guy bought me a salad at my preferred shop, Chopt (even though we live closer to Sweetgreen). This is what we got...literally we have not even touched the food yet so if it looks half empty, it is. Cannot believe the workers at this location thought it was acceptable to hand this out to customers and charge full price. Would definitely go to any other Chopt besides this. Don't know how Chopt operates its business but the first chance they get to get rid of this location (and its workers), they really should.

Never ordering from this location again. I ordered 3 warm bowls and 2 drinks and the drinks didn't get delivered. Nobody called me before hand to tell me that the drinks weren't available or ask if I would like to substitute them with anything else. When I called to figure out what happened they said they tried calling me (that's a lie) and said that they would refund me for the price of the drinks. The amount the lady I spoke to said she would refund me was much lower than what I was charged and I pointed that out to her. She brushed it off and said I will receive the refund within 2 days. It's been 7 days and I haven't received my refund yet. I also cannot seem to get hold of "the manager" or anyone who can actually refund my money. Very poor service and honestly nobody wants to deal with this type of behavior.

I have been going to Chopt on Amsterdam Avenue for a while and the salads are always great! The staff is really friendly and accommodating. Nicholas the manager is nice and overall the customer service is exemplary! I highly recommend Chopt to fellow Upper West Siders....

It's salad. It's like a salad bar but others make it for you. It was good but nothing I'd crave.. you can prob make salads at home, however it's a great healthy (depending on your options) choice on a very busy street. Give it a shot.

There was a bug in the salad. Romaine lettuce - super gross and we had to toss the salad.

Fabulous salads of which you choose the ingredients. Everything is fresh. They will do as much chopping as you want. Delicious. Eat in or take out. I prefer to enjoy the salads at home. Don't miss out!

I was just told that they cannot make salads and put them in the Just Salad reusable bowls (chop't doesn't have such a product), even though they are the exact same size. When I pointed out that the size is the same, I was told that it's not a concern about price or volume... come again? It was then clarified that it's "company policy" not to use the bowls of competitors simply because they are competitors. I told the staff this policy is bad for the environment and so maybe Chop't should make its own bowls, then. What an incredibly backwards reaction to a competitor being more environmentally sustainable. It's pretty disgusting to me that in 2018, with all of the knowledge we have of the dangers plastic poses to wildlife and our environment as a whole, that a company would make it policy to create plastic waste. Needless to say, I'll be walking the four extra blocks to Just Salad from now on.

IT WOULD BE BETTER TO STARVE TO DEATH THAN TO EAT HERE. It's one of the worst run food establishments on the upper west side, and I will say it again: It's one of the worst run food establishments on the upper west side. It's very difficult to order or to communicate in any way with any single counter person because as you try to speak your order, they are constantly running around, dealing simultaneously not only with other customers but with each other, all of which creates an environment of sheer chaos. On occasion I have observed the counter people literally bumping into each other. It's a frenzied mess. Not returning. AVOID.

Had a long day and wanted something fairly healthy. Our tinga bowls were not only less than full, but -- and this is probably the 5th+ time this has happened -- the grains and rice were hard and uncooked and basically inedible. Almost cracked a tooth. Too bad because the flavors on the bowl are pretty on point. We were just saying how we don't mind paying up for food when it's good but sometimes it's not worth it. I mean, we'll probably still eat here, it's just such a crapshoot on the quality of your specific bowl/plate.

Just walked out of this place. They have ONE person chopping the orders while the customer line grows. I canceled my order and went down the block to another salad place that has three people prepping and chopping customer orders. Apparently, CHOPT mgmt doesn't have a mgr on premises on Sundays. Pretty crappy customer concerns. Millenial mgmt.

The salads are great when you go in person. I liked them so much I've tried ordering delivery from here twice-both times salads were missing ingredients and had very skimpy portions of the ingredients they did include. Totally different salads than what you get when they make it in front of you. For the $4.99 delivery fee plus tip, they should be able to make your salad as if you were ordering in front of them

First time eating from here, we ordered takeout. Was really impressed with my salad. Got the AvoKeto Salad , very filling.

To be honest I've been craving salad the entire week. This hit the spot! The ingredients are fresh and staff worked efficiently. The seating areas are comfrontable with a view of the city life passing by. I've been to chopt before near 42st and hated it. This chopt however is much better. The only con is the wifi goes in and out at times but eh its free right? Good for solo and casual dates. I will come back.

Today Tyler made my salad and he could not have been kinder or friendlier and helped me with all of my salad modifications. Thanks for the amazing customer service Tyler!!!

I'm not big on salads but this place hit the spot. Custom salad bowls with all sorts of toppings even including falafel! Tasty healthy n will fill you up. Just don't add too many toppings because it adds up quick!

Why do i like this Chopt location so much ? They have plug to charge my phone during my sales day in the city . The people are super friendly . They have clean bathroom . They have nice booth to relax . I come around 2:30 pm when it s not too crowded. The salad are so goood and healthy .

Salad was adequate, but now I've had a couple of bad experiences with how the place is run and today was the last straw. Encountered the nastiest cashier. I'm officially done. Worst. Customer service. Ever!!

Unique idea and super healthy option in NYC. Wish they'd open this chain in Seattle, the way the salad comes dressed and bite sized is genius.

I love Chopt very much, so much so that I pay a visit here at this location on 341 Amsterdam Ave at least 4 times a week for lunch or dinner. I've tried most things on the menu but my two favorite salads are the classic cob w/kale or the Chicken Tinga w/Kale. I most like the fact that any salads can by modified/customize to my liking. I also love this location because of the staff who by now have gotten to know me either by face or name and vise versa. One person who have made my lunch/dinner always special is Yamilex who I believe is the supervisor or something. Yamilex has a great attitude and excellent customer service experience. It's always nice to walk into this location and feel welcomed. So thank you chopt and thank you Yamilex for making this chopt my favorite Chopt location. Keep up the excellent work.

I'll echo other reviewers' complaints but emphasize my biggest issue -- this place needs to learn how to cook rice/grains. They are ROCK HARD. Totally inedible. It is beyond me how a food chain like this can serve up basically uncooked food that no one can eat. I had to throw away half my chicken tinga bowl. Ultimately it's my fault because this has happened on several occasions but I keep coming back for some reason. That was the last time.

Good salads and wraps. Nice staff. Lotsa space to sit and practice my French with Julien.

We were so excited when this location opened, and it's been a great addition to the neighborhood. Food: Menu is the same here as at all Chopt locations. Ingredients are fresh, and I've never had a problem with items being out of stock. Bread is from Orwasher's Bakery (on 81st St.) and it's fresh and soft. Service: Service here is generally good, with the exception of one experience with a cashier who wasn't super friendly on my last visit. I did stop by at 9:50pm one day last week (they close at 10pm), and they were happy to help me even though they were about to close. Ambiance: The space itself is a little funky in terms of layout, but there's plenty of seating and it's always been clean. The proximity of this Chopt location invites comparisons to Sweetgreen, and though I go to Sweetgreen more because I like their menu better and like the ambiance more, my experience at Chopt is more consistently positive.

Great service, fresh Ingredients and a very clean overall restaurant and café experience. Would recommend and suggest for a healthy fresh salad or a wrap.

I love chopped salads. This chopped salad wasn't as good as it should have been. It's a 'new' location - suffering from managerial/staff issues. When I pay 12 bucks for a green salad with some stuff in it - and waited 35 minutes in line for the luxury - it should blow my socks off. No small scoops and inept managers swanning in whilst looking at their iPhones when the local eaters are waiting in a line at the door.

I got the crunchy Vietnamese salad which was really bitter thanks to the kale. It was my 1st time trying kale so I had no idea it'd be bitter. The few pieces of chicken in it was extremely bland. The only good thing was the dressing which was spicy vinaigrette (which isn't spicy at all). The staff was really friendly but its THE WORST salad I've ever had.

So delish! Visiting from Midwest, and with all of the options in NYC, we ended up having 2 meals here! Kale ceasar wrap with Parmesan crisps and falafel. Cheap quick and easy! Staff was fine but wasn't overly friendly if that matters. Great food. Quick service. Clean shop.

Unfortunately, this Chopt store didn't work for me. I'm a huge fan of this salad chain and I've tried many locations. Today was my first time in the UWS store, and I have the worst stomach sickness I've had in long time. I was completely fine before stopping here for a 'healthy' lunch. This never happened to me in other locations. I'm worried about the health and clean standards at this place. Never going back. P.S I have a very strong stomach and barely gets sick with truck food or weird things.

I honestly go to chopt for lunch three times a week at multiple locations. This by far has the worst service. The place was empty given it was dinner time. I think I stood in front of the employees for a solid five minutes before I was even acknowledged. Then I asked for shrimp and she gave me very few pieces. For a 15 dollar salad, it was a bit ridiculous. Then at the register, the cashier didn't ring me up right away because she was on the phone. Given the place was empty, I expected quicker and better service.

I ordered salads via seamless and couldn't find the dressing anywhere. Frustrated, I called Chopt and asked if they can send the delivery man back with the dressings. The woman I spoke to on the phone, Alex, was so sweet and understanding and said she would throw in extra drinks for my trouble. A few minutes later I realized the dressings were there, just someone in my apt misplaced them. Sheepishly I called back and told them they didn't have to send extra dressing. The same woman I initially spoke to (Alex) told me the guy is already coming back and not to worry about it even though I felt so bad. Honestly great customer service and I appreciated being treated so kindly even though it was a mistake on my part.

This place had bad service and I got sick from the salad. Not coming back here and wouldn't recommend anyone to come here.

For the portion they give the price isn't right.... I have gotten salads for $10 double the size of theirs... I got a salad with 4 vegetable topping options for $15.

We always get terrific salads from Chopt and I want to commend Pedro and Elaine for their wonderful smiles and great service!

In general, Chop'T salad is good. This location is such horrible! 1 - service is slow when you order in person. 2 - when you order on line they screw up your order! This happened to me twice - is it that hard to read an order?!! Today, my order was created by the Manager, Karen, who screwed up on this! To top it all off they gave us bread scrap! I would never order at this location again!
