Chouquet's - Review - Pacific Heights - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Chouquet’s is Pacific Heights’ quintessential neighborhood bistro. This walk-in-friendlyFrenchspot has been open since 2004, and it’s the kind of place where you’ll rub shoulders with regulars, and maybe overhear a little gossip. The space includes a sizable covered parklet and sidewalk seating, along with a dining room that works great for small groups. The menu is packed with crowd-pleasers—a lightly caramelized pain perdu that eagerly soaks up the side of syrup, a bubbling bowl of french onion soup, and a gets-the-job-done benedict. Sure, some dishes have their flaws, like a poulet roti with slightly grainy mashed potatoes and unevenly cooked chicken, but these missteps won’t derail a meal here. Count on Chouquet’s for a solid, no-fuss meal that requires absolutely no pre-planning." - Patrick Wong

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was excellent — warm, welcoming, and lively. However, the food could use a bit of improvement. The butter lettuce salad had too many shallots and needed more seasoning for balance. Both of our main dishes were enjoyable, though they didn’t quite stand out. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and with a few small tweaks to the menu, it could be truly great.

After a full day of walking around San Francisco with my wife, we found ourselves in the Pacific Heights neighborhood and decided to stop at Chouquet. From the moment we arrived, we could tell this place was special. The Owner himself was hosting, running around, and making sure every guest was taken care of. His candor, jokes, and genuine hospitality stood out immediately. He took the time to share stories, complimented my wife and me, and made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. That personal touch, combined with excellent food, made the entire experience memorable. I’m the kind of diner who values great meals paired with authentic people and Chouquet delivers exactly that. With 20 years in this location, it’s clear you don’t last that long without being truly good. Thank you to the Owner and the entire team for creating such a welcoming, neighborhood driven dining experience. - Aram

Favorite French restaurant in SF! Love the live Jazz on the weekends. Tried a bunch of great things… favorites are the French Onion Soup & Short Rib!

I really liked the salmon! Such a fun place to stop for lunch on a busy day of shopping.

I’ve been here multiple times and have brought family and friends and have always enjoyed it. The food is consistently good and the service is warm and friendly, even on days they are busy and feeling rushed. It’s a great neighborhood restaurant.

Google
I absolutely love Chouquet’s! Their beef bourguignon is rich and flavorful, and the duck confit is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. The service is excellent, very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. Highly recommend!

Google
Just lovely to come back here again on my recent trip to San Francisco, always something I look forward to on any visit. Great French food and wine, great atmosphere but most importantly always made to feel so welcome and so well looked after by the beautiful team there. Sophie, Mark, Nixon and Maria - lovely to see you all on this visit and thank you so much for accommodating all the extra members of our SF family that kept turning up to join the party ❤️

Google
I love this neighborhood French cuisine restaurant, especially for brunch on the weekends when they would sometimes bring in a live jazz band to play next to their outdoor dining tables. Their niçoise salad is deconstructed and absolutely delicious. Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu really, sometimes I would also order their mussels or steak.

Yelp
Came here as a group of 7 on a Wednesday night. Restaurant was half full when we arrived at 7 and filled up as the night went out. Service was friendly and relaxed -- not rushed which gave us lots of time to chat and catch up. Waiter was friendly and had great recommendations: across wine, entree, desserts. We mostly had: Steak, beef bourg. On the fries, if you enjoy truffle flavor, add the truffle oil -- it really makes the fries even yummier! The Steak medium rare was nicely executed with a nice pepper sauce. Beef bourg was tender with a lovely flavor. The apple tart is very yum! And we enjoyed the bordeaux the waiter recommended. Overall, lovely, cozy restaurant that's great for a group catch up.

Yelp
We ordered coffee, eggs benedict and mussels. Each item was delicious and properly cooked. the ambiance was nice with a great view and they had our table ready for us. The service was quick although they forgot one of our orders so we had to remind them. Overall a nice french spot but a bit pricey.

Yelp
The service was friendly for my friends and me on a Saturday at brunch. We got lucky with a sunny Saturday in November, but we had an indoor res, so we sat inside by an open window for the indoor - outdoor feeling. There was a jazz band setting up to play for the outdoor diners, but we left before they finished setting up. The vibes outside on a sunny day are actually a little nicer than the inside decor in my opinion. Friend got the smoked salmon benedict, mussels and fries, and I got the croque madame. They serve their croque madame open faced on a giant piece of toast. It was good, very cheesy and surprisingly a decent amount of ham hidden under the cheese. Toast was perfectly crunchy and not burnt. Didn't try the other two dishes. My only complaint is the prices seem steep but it's SF brunch and French food so it's to be expected. The real complaint is that a cappuccino is pretty expensive. I was asked if I wanted a single or double, not realizing that the menu price is for a single. Add the fact that I got oat milk, and the cappuccino was pushing $10. Wouldn't order again. But the food was good and competitively priced.

Yelp
Delightful atmosphere and service at this perfectly situated French bistro on Fillmore in Pac Heights. Would return for the French onion soup and hot chocolate, which we enjoyed greatly along with a few other just fine, but ultimately forgettable, nibbles. However, was sadly disappointed by the escargot. Despite its beautiful presentation, the snails had a mushy (rather than bouncy and tender) texture and near spoiled, mineral aftertaste. We each had one bite and left the rest. Even the garlic butter sauce couldn't mask the lack of freshness. Hopefully just a one-off situation, as it seems like other diners haven't had the same experience. Would come back to have afternoon coffee and drinks!

Yelp
Vibe is good but the food is so-so for the price you are mainly paying for the ambiance. Maybe we order wrong? For a restaurant in Pacific Heights, it's sitting on prime real estate. Corner restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor dining, also dog friendly. Slightly expensive for the quality, did I mention this is located in Pac Heights? Some days I see a musician here providing lovely music & ambiance. Food: Butter Lettuce Salad consisting of butter lettuce cups, herbs shallots and vinaigrette. $13. It's basic. I guess you can add choice of meat for additional but don't know if taste will be elevated. Croque Monsieur is a grilled open face ham & cheese sandwich served with mixed greens. $16. Okay but we had better. Steak Frites is a grilled NY steak with peppercorn sauce. & French fries. $30. Mixed, it's not the best but not the worst. The French fries are yum. Located on Washington and Fillmore.

Yelp
Classic French food as it ought to be! Charming bistro with delicious dishes and warm hospitality. We came on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation but we were graciously greeted and given a nice table. There is indoor & outdoor seating. It was perfect weather to sit outside. We had escargot, which they prepared without the shell, in butter, herbs & garlic atop thin slices of baguette. The veal stew was perfect with tender chunks of veal cooked with pearl onions & carrots in a delicious sauce and served with rice. The duck confit was also cooked to tender perfection and served with a stew or lentils. The butternut squash ravioli was very good and satisfying. We also ordered bread which was baguette served with butter. Perfect for the meal to sop up all the sauces. Good sized portions and decent prices. They also have a full bar and great wine list with many options. We enjoyed a glass of the cote du Rhône and a glass of Bordeaux which paired well with our meal. We will be back to try more dishes.

Yelp
I love the ambiance at Chouquet's. It's nestled just off Fillmore Street in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood, surrounded by stunning architecture that defines the area--grand Victorian and Edwardian mansions, ornate Queen Anne homes, and stately Beaux-Arts buildings that give the neighborhood its classic San Francisco charm. The restaurant offers outdoor seating with heat lamps, creating a cozy, European-style atmosphere. It's a wonderful spot to dine with family and loved ones, and if you're up for a post-dinner stroll, you're just a short walk from the beautiful Alta Plaza Park. My favorite dish was the French onion soup (or as they call it in France--just onion soup, right?). The steak frites were also delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly, and when my daughter mentioned how much she loved the bread and butter, he generously gave her an entire baguette to take home--see pictures for proof! That thoughtful gesture truly endeared me to the restaurant. The service was warm and welcoming throughout. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
We came for Saturday dinner. The food was fine, but a little lackluster for the price point. The ambience is similar to a French bistro, with better service though. We ordered the veal stew ($34) and roasted chicken ($29). Both were quite bland for the price point. The veal stew portion was also small. Overall probably will not come back

Yelp
Update: I think it's just the luck of the draw here, and what your preferences are. I go here about once a week b/c it's convenient. The food (to my taste) is OK, not great, esp for the price point. But the scrambled eggs are always good, all the soups and trout salad are excellent, and the steak terrific. Some really slop dishes, though. I can't judge on the more French stuff. The service can be slow and careless and brusque, not sure what the formula for that is, many variables exist in the restaurant biz. But it can also be friendly and food-informative. It's nice to have a place to sit outside when it's cold.

Yelp
If I could give this place more stars, I would. My best friend and I decided that we wanted to go somewhere on Fillmore for a light bite and maybe something sweet. Not much is open on Fillmore during the weekday so we settled on Chouquet. Everything we ordered was a 10/10. The service matched this. I'm betting that any negative reviews are from people who were already looking to complain about something. I ordered the short rib, even though I wasn't that hungry. It was one of the best braised short ribs I've ever had. I ordered another to take to go for my husband as I knew he had to try it. We also ordered an amaro and chocolat fondant. Fantastic. Stefan, our server, was an absolute gem. He was knowledgeable, funny, and attentive. The wine was fantastic and honestly hands down some of the best priced in the city. It's extremely hard to find a decently priced wine list in the city right now so this was a great find. It was pouring rain when we were dining here. We sat outside under the awning and the rain combined with the French music just made the ambiance so delightful. I'd highly recommend ignoring any negative reviews and take a chance on this gem.

Yelp
Come on a sunny weekend day for sun, live music, and vibes much more than for food. Sitting out front on the patio does really give a Paris café energy albeit with an American sort of cramped seating area. Service was friendly and prompt with a smile and quick to part which I appreciate. The food can safely be described as good enough if you're not famished. The niçoise salad has quality anchovies going for it and the tuna is well cooked and seasoned if the portion a bit meager, the rest is basically as you'd expect with the exception of some really sad tomatoes, a few of which might even have doubled as firm green olives if I'd closed my eyes. My wife's croque moiseur looked gaunt, which is kind of a shame when you're ordering a usually extravagant dish. Wines lean French of course and are perhaps the main attraction. If I came again, I suspect it'd be for a drink or two and a little snack to justify my presence.

Yelp
I've been here for dinner and brunch. Definitely get transported to France. The interior is very cute. For brunch they've even had musicians playing live music. I'm a big fan of their tuna tartare. My sister got the eggs florentine and enjoyed them too. I've always been here when it was busy and the servers did a good job managing the crowd.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
tl;dr - cute patio, live music, good service I stopped by to have a quick bite and they have a lovely patio with live music. The trout salad was refreshing and contrasted nicely with the smoked trout. The butternut squash soup was creamy and well seasoned. The service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
After being turned away from a nearby restaurant due to a reservation miscommunication, we arrived at Chouquet's, a French bistro, on the corner of Fillmore and Washington Streets, on a busy Friday night without a reservation. Although the dining room was fully booked, we were offered a table for two on the patio. We were seated promptly and our server, Mark, whom we discovered was also the wine buyer, made a couple of excellent wine recommendation to pair with our menu selections: delicious French onion soup and a perfect quiche. We couldn't resist dessert and shared a Crème Brulée and Apple Tatin, followed by a complimentary glass of Sauterne, a perfect ending to a most enjoyable dining experience where the combination of excellent food wine, and professional service made it a memorable evening. Note: In the French style of dining, Chouquet's is not a dine-and-dash restaurant, rather it's a place to wine, dine, and savor the ambiance and overall experience.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this neighborhood restaurant for years. Recently took a friend here for their BD. People seem to love it, by the crowds I see, but me, not so much. Late 2:00 lunch, pretty quiet, sat outside. Felt rushed to order seconds after we sat down. Thankfully a big bottle of water on the table, but lukewarm. Once ordered service was fast. Friend had one of the Croque sandwiches ($19.00) w/a big pile of "just mixed greens", nothing on it. I had the Burger w/Swiss ($19.00) and fries. Fries were good and hot, burger was not good, not good at all. Teeny tiny, bun was cold and hard on the bottom. No "set up" on the plate (lettuce, tomato, pickler or onion). Had to ask for ketchup, mayo, salt & pepper. Once served, never saw our server again. I won't be back.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch, such a nice ambiance and pretty neighborhood! The sun was shining so we opted to sit outside and they kindly put up the umbrella to keep us from getting sunburnt. The servers were so pleasant and helpful, food was quick turnaround from ordering and it was a seamless process. There isn't a big brunch menu but the food is delicious, they had recommended the duck Benedict as their special that day and it was a great choice. French toast had a nice crunch and was not too soft or sugary, great Benedict sauce on the eggs. They even had some live music playing outside for brunch diners to enjoy in the sunshine. Highly recommend for Sunday brunch!

Yelp
We've now been three times and each time it is delicious. I love the short rib in fact I refuse to order anything else. The cheese plate is great and the wine list is excellent. As a table we have also tried several of the other dishes and specials. Service is good but I will say our meals here are slower paced, this is not the spot I would come if I needed to be in and out for a quick dinner. If you're looking to have a luxurious and leisurely meal this is a great pick. The patio is dog friendly and there is live music certain nights. There are heaters on the patio closest to the building itself and the area can get a bit chilly at night.

Yelp
Whenever I'm feeling icky, or haven't had a proper meal in a while, I get Chouquets beef bourgenion. I love its hearty, home cooked feel. The meat is tender. The carrots are little gems and overall it makes me feel much better. Do try it out. I've never been in to dine but the takeout is on point!
google avatar

Yelp
No bistro makes me feel richer than Choquet. Ambiance. Products. Service. The French onion soup, Braised short rib and Chocolate Fondant all hit the mark (without question) I would not hesitate ordering a spread for me and my people. Take a date here. Sit alone. Dine with friends for hours. This crew + place is for you at any time.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant ,that feels like a bistro in Nice, right in the heart of Fillmore. Overall, a fun place but far from perfect. The outdoor seating is charming. Service is solid but not amazing. The wine list seems good but we had a Pinot from France that was "meh", Boudreaux was great. The food was good but some misses. The salmon was delicious, same with the short ribs. Quiche Lorraine was overdone and the French onion soup was bland. Tuna tartare had too much soy. I'd go back but I would be more selective
google avatar

Denise C.

Yelp
This is a French restaurant. I had never heard of it on Yelp or word of mouth. I walked by on Fillmore in Pac Heights and wanted to go to a new restaurant. They have oysters, steak and frites, as well as croque madame etc. I thought I would try quiche lorraine but it was a small slice and not enough food for $18. It had bacon and it wasn't as good as it should be since it's expensive. Maybe try some other things on the menu but I wouldn't gamble on quiche lorraine...and I have had quiche in France. The restaurant is kinda small and it's cold outside. Features Aperol spritz. Interesting people watching..afterwork business crowd..heard the word "lawyer." Also I had the tarte tatin. It came with ice cream. It was like apple pie or apple crisp. It didn't look like what I had hoped the tarte tatin would look like. Paid $30 for this meal and it's overpriced. What's new? Happy Bastille Day.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I loved the food, it was so yum. Perfect spot for a weekend breakfast. You can walk around fillmore and do some shopping afterwards, and the service was super friendly too! Definitely recommend going there :)

Yelp
Our brunch experience was what I would call a "mixed bag".... I'll explain- the menu is straight forward. Forget asking about gluten free options bc. your question is met with a very cold and impersonal- NO. That's it.... no alternative or substitution offered. I'm sorry but that was strike 1 . 2 of the 5 dishes need additional love(culinary attention to add depth). Both the Nicoise and the Boeuf Bourguignon had marginal flavor. Our service was fair and mostly inattentive. This restaurant really has some potential. They are located in a great location on Filmore. The staff seem to know some of the local neighbors .... that didn't carry over to our table. Before I mentioned the adjective mixed bag- the restaurant has so much potential yet when one experiences what we did .... It makes us wonder if we would come back.
google avatar

Mazandrea G.

Yelp
It was meh, could be better. The good was sort of bland. The service could use some training also. I don't think see myself coming back.
google avatar

Karlee J.

Yelp
This is a wonderful spot for large groups with ample outdoor dining. The food was good and went with a classic French toast for brunch. Lots of other options but French food isn't my favorite so played it safe and was delighted with my choice. The service was wonderful and attentive with our large group.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Lovely afternoon, warm sun, lovely jazz music, attentive staff, Sancerre wine, duck with lentils, apple tartin!
google avatar

Danielle L.

Yelp
The service and ambiance are great at Choquet's; it's nice to sit outside, and the staff are friendly. However, the food is okay. We might've just not ordered their best items, but the chicken was a bit dry, and we didn't love the flavors of the Nicoise salad. We still had a nice meal and enjoyed the ambiance at their outdoor seating.
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
Go for the aperol spritz and the vibe! My friends and I stopped by Chouquet's around 4p on a Saturday to sip on some aperol spritz and chat. The area in front of the restaurant is blocked off, so there's a good amount of outdoor seating. The waiters are friendly and service is great. We ended up getting a cheese platter too and it was a great snack. We just wished we had some more crackers for the amount of cheese we were given. The cheese platter comes with cow cheese, goat cheese, and sheep cheese. The sheep cheese definitely has a unique taste to it that none of us were used to, and tasted much better with the jam and crackers.

Yelp
Nice bistro in Pacific Heights sat on covered patio on a lovely spring day in the City. Started with the Kir Royale . Truffle Fries as an app. Party of four French Toast, 2 Croque Madam's and the Salad Niçoise, tuna was so fresh and delicious. Owner was bouncing around and very helpful, as well our Weber was terrific
google avatar

Lia B.

Yelp
Fine and nothing special. My brunch group of 4 was gently pushed out at the request to clear room for more guests. On our way out we noticed there were no other guests... kinda rude or maybe we were too loud... either way we won't be back
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
The food was good but sadly had really bad food poisoning from here. I ordered the quiche and onion soup which again tasted fine but turns out it would give me 3 days of terrible food poisoning. The space itself is good for small groups and the staff seemed a bit irritated if you come with a group of 6 or more people.

Yelp
I stumbled on Chouquet's the other day and I am so glad that I gave it a try!! This adorable corner cafe was welcoming and beautiful inside. We sat down and right away was given menus and water. The wait staff was polite and nice. I ordered mussels special and tuna salad and both were delicious! I cannot emphasize how much I loved the mussel dish. The broth had tons of flavor and the mussels were huge! I definitely recommend this place.

Ruth C.

Yelp
I think it's gone downhill in the past few months. Dishes we used to enjoy were not good the last couple times. This last time we ordered the burger medium and got a totally bloody & raw burger that was totally bland and tasteless after they re-cooked it. When we asked for a medium (slightly pink), they took it back and brought us a still-undercooked burger on the same totally soggy bun that was drenched in blood from the first round (no care for sending out a good quality dish). It seems like someone else is in the kitchen cooking, and other recent reviews seem to share our experience with bland and underwhelming food.

Nathanael T.

Yelp
Had gone here many times over the years but not for a while. It has really gone downhill on all fronts. My wife's order came and at least ten minutes later when we checked on my dish, we were informed that the order hadn't been put in. The way we were told this was as though WE had done something wrong. And it was clearly an inconvenience for them to then put the order in. Rudest service I've had anywhere in years. We reluctantly agreed for them to go ahead and put the order in and I said, please don't rush it, just make it as it would normally be made. Cause I know how those rushed forgotten orders usually come out even worse. Sure enough it was terrible. Fries tasted like they'd traveled across town and back. Cardboard. The omelet was a slopfest. The whole time the treatment was dismissive and straight up rude. Will never go back. Side note: every piece of cutlery on our setups were dirty. Again, it's just gone way downhill.

Nora O.

Yelp
Great food and service. Ordered a doz oysters (they are $1.50 on Mondays the server said). Hy husband had the steak and frites and I had the mussels. Both great...especially the sauce on the mussels, great balance of flavors. Overall, we have no complaints. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. I asked for extra hot fries and they promptly accommodated my request. We'll be back when we are in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
3.5 stars. We've been here before and Hubby wanted to eat outdoors and enjoy some of the music being played at the Fillmore Jazz Festival. He got a regular burger $18 said it was good. The fries with it were excellent. The man who took our order didn't hear Hubby ask for cheese with his burger which was $1 extra and apologized when it was brought to his attention but was not on the bill. I had the quiche Lorraine and it was good. It came with a salad, which was basically dressed greens and nothing else. Staff was pretty busy but polite. I especially liked that the lady who bus our dishes asked if she could take them away first. They have one gender neutral bathroom and there's line to wait for it.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Made a reservation through OpenTable which was quick and easy for lunch with some friends! Loved that we got to sit outside during a beautiful day! The waiter we had was really nice and was attentive, respectful and funny! During this lunch, I had the French onion soup with the bread and it was great! I definitely plan on coming back again! Heads up the menu isn't as expansive but overall they have great things to eat!

Kelsie P.

Yelp
Like many of the reviewers before me, I had an amazingly horrendous experience with the waitstaff. The male server that has been mentioned many times in several one star reviews was so unbelievably rude to my mom and me it actually made us laugh out loud. We were walking down Fillmore at 3pm on Mother's Day and my mom heard the live music and decided it'd be nice to stop and have a glass of wine and a few snacks. Because it was 3pm, in between lunch and dinner time, we weren't hungry for a full meal. We were seated outside where there were at least 5 open tables and absolutely no line. When the man came to take our order we said we'd like a glass of wine each and some fries to start. The man immediately said "I'm going to talk to the manager. We don't do that!!!! Sorry ladies- we don't do that." My mom and I looked at each other and said "... you don't do what?"He stormed inside for about 30 seconds, stormed back out took our menus and repeatedly said "we don't do that, no full meal...we're far too busy for this!!!!" With no further conversation or any appropriate social skills whatsoever, he was implying we needed to leave. I completely understand if it is a rule at this restaurant that you must order a full meal in order to sit outside (where there were many empty tables and as I said, no line). However there would've been a much nicer and less peculiar way to explain this to us. My mom was humiliated having to get up and walk out after getting very loudly kicked out in front of the small crowd of people eating outside. It's a shame this place has such poor reviews because it's so charming and in such a prime location. Its no surprise its rarely busy. I hope the owners can read the many many reviews with the repeated complaints and find new waitstaff that treat the patrons with respect. We went down the street to Little Shucker, it was adorable and the waitstaff was delightful.

Richard B.

Yelp
Typical French rudeness. Poor service and tasteless food. It has sidewalk seating and the homeless are constantly hassling you. Never again!

Fkbr J.

Yelp
Very good small French restaurant, moderately expensive. Had lunch there; recommending boeuf du Bourgogne.
google avatar

Larry N.

Yelp
Been here a few times, its always been good. We had the beef stew and the short ribs - both dishes were outstanding. The smoke trout salad was also a hit. Thanks again - the service was attentive and super

j l.

Yelp
What an absolutely cute brunch spot! My husband had the short ribs and it just melted in your mouth. I had the wonderful ham and cheese quiche which includes a salad. Felt I was transported to France. As I enjoyed it with my Champagne! A must go to while shopping in this neighborhood.
google avatar

Tom A.

Yelp
Service was terrible, food was cold and the employees were unbelievably rude. Nothing was corrected.
google avatar

Derek R.

Yelp
Our first time here, we came for brunch. We've walked by often and they seem to be a popular spot. We think this is one of the best outdoor seating spots along Fillmore, as they have the whole street available for seating and a view of Alta Plaza park. Service was friendly and as attentive as we'd expect given how busy they were, and our server gave us some helpful tips on local restaurants before we left. Bubbly- we tried a chenille blanc and a French rose, we enjoyed both but preferred the rose. Steak frites- hit the spot, good dipping sauce and we enjoyed the side of frites. Steak was a nice texture, would've enjoyed more of a char. Smoked salmon egg Benedict- also hit the spot, was what we expected. Enjoyed the fresh side salad. Was a nice dish on a warmer day.

Yelp
It's date night and the fella brings me here to Chouquet's, a charming French restaurant with classic options even I recognize; I can't remember having French food except that one time in Mont Blanc, and that was way back in 2004 so it's been awhile. All I remember is meals over there last 3+ hours, albeit I don't see that sort of 5-course option at Chouquet's. Lots of familiar favorites though - steak frites, quiche lorraine, French onion soup, beef bourguignon. I tell my date it's "surprisingly affordable" but make no mistake that doesn't make it cheap. We each get a soup and beef bourguignon, iced tea and after-dinner coffee. And they send us a complimentary creme brulee - comes out to $100. But there's nothing to be mad about because the food is great and the service is stellar. It's also one of the best after-dinner mochas I've ever seen. I'll definitely come back sometime.

Yelp
The food here was good! A great spot for brunch. I got the French toast, but they have a lot of fancier options too. The service was great and they have a fun outdoor seating area. They also are able to accommodate large groups. It was great and I would come back!

Yelp
Overpriced low quality food. It's a shame that this restaurant charges so much for the quality of food they provide. I ordered the cheeseburger and I was thoroughly disappointed. There was no flavor at all. The burger itself was one Bland ball of mess. The french fries were overcooked no fluffiness and completely crunchy with no seasoning. It's hard to believe that a burger with cheese and bacon can contain no Dynamic ranges of flavors. I paid nearly $30 to receive a box of garbage. I will never be going back to this place and I hope people head my warning. How can you not season your meat? How can your aioli contain no seasoning and no flavor. Like I said I cannot believe I paid this kind of money for this food. I asked the server how much the burger weighs and I quote he said it's enough for one person but the burger patty itself weighed less than a quarter pound. What a disappointment but feel no shame you're like every other restaurant in this city that overcharges for low quality food

Yelp
I've had both breakfast and lunch here. The service is always impeccable and the servers pleasant. Today I had a salad nicoise. It was plated attractively and the components delicious. I really enjoy this place.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday lunch and it wasn't too busy, the location is small but they do offer a lot of outdoor seating. We were seated outside since we came with our dog. Their heatlamps weren't working, so that was a bummer but the waiter did offer us a blanket to use. Overall, this place isn't bad. The service is amazing though, the waiters kept checking in with us and made sure everything was tasty. It's a nice spot to just grab a quick bite and drinks with friends. They have a lot of drinks, so that was nice to have options. I ordered the burger and it was average, nothing too special about it. My bf orders the omelette and he said it was ok as well, nothing too memorable. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, which was delicious.
