It is located in the San Ramon City Center. The restaurant is well-lit, clean, and spacious, and the ambiance is wonderful. We didn't have a reservation, they only take reservations for a party of 6 or more, we arrived at lunchtime and were seated right away. They have a lot of tables and the restaurant is spacious. The food was awesome and the service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it.

Newly opened (the site in Danville closed) and situated at the quieter north west corner at bishop ranch, Chow offers a little of every thing for everyone. I suppose the term gastropub best describes Chow. The inside dining area is bright and spacious. The outside dining area is even better and would be great place to have a meal at any hour of the day weather permitting. Food is pretty good and reasonable given the demographics. American, Asian, Hispanic and European offerings are on the menu. You can come here for brunch, lunch or dinner, and they have a full bar.. Dishes are on the lighter side and generally well executed. We had the burger, fish tacos and enchiladas. The burger was cooked as ordered but needed salt. The enchiladas were good, the mole sauce being decent. Fish tacos were ok but nothing special. Everything is well presented and service was friendly and generally efficient but note that we arrived mid afternoon. Like a Jack of all trades, Chow is proficient at many things but not necessarily a master of anything in particular. Nothing stands out but that's not the point. I think Chow bills itself as a place where family and friends can gather at a nice place and get a decent meal and drinks at a decent price...and in those respects, it succeeds in my opinion.

Even though we live next-door, this place was not yet open when we moved out. Finally, we made it here to sample out there from “deliciousness” aaaaaand - got very disappointed by the food, quality, length of service, and overall experience. Came to have a family lunch with our 15 month old. Got her the organic chicken tenders that came out deep-fried in the breadcrumbs. Deep-fried for an infant and a toddler from the kids menu? Really? You’ve got to be kidding? Wedge salad was a chunk of iceberg lettuce plotting in the blue cheese dressing sprinkled with bacon and a piece of tomato. Meatball pasta was way undercooked that our little girl had a hard time chewing that pasta. Interesting dining area, setting with the fireplace in the middle. Other than that nothing to acknowledge. Service was a bit boring until the time manager came out and chatted with us offering his services. Overall - one time place that will never be back to.

This place was lovely it provided an wonderful atmosphere and had delicious food. I ordered the enchelladas and they were delicious. They were topped with mole sauce having a great kick but also very sweet. There seasonal Margarita was also delicious.

Coma on Friday night at 8pm. Seated right away. Service is slow. Sat down for 10 mins and server did not come to take order. Fish burger is dry. Seafood pasta is average. Hope they will improve. Menu has too few choices.

We went there for dinner during the Diwali Celebration. It had allot of open seating however customer service/ host is really all over the place. It took about 4 people to get us seated and got our drinks taken by one person, then our food by another. We ordered the Enchiladas which were amazing! Best enchiladas I’ve had in a while, just the side of beans tasted a little bad. We also order the Steak fries but those were really bad. The steak was way overcooked and burnt and the entire plate just lacked flavor and presentation. We ended our dinner with a ginger cake and that was a really good dessert. Despite the steak fries being bad and not great customer service I’d go again. Place is clean and very well decorated. Only got a picture of the Enchiladas.

It's a nice and cozy cafe and market. The food is fresh and healthy. The staff are friendly and the service is great. We tried avocado toast and smoked salmon hash, and everything was delicious.

If I was able to give a 6th star to one restaurant, it would go to Chow! Everything I’ve tried here has been amazing, but their Thai Noodle dish is my favorite entree of all time. Trust me, I ordered it once a week for ~7 years at the old Danville location and never got sick of it, considered changing my order, or going anywhere else. The food quality seems even better at this new location in San Ramon too. Cannot recommend Chow enough!
