Lovely works chosen by a very keen eye. And a very nice owner too. Difficult to imagine a trip to this part of town without dropping in. An interesting range of publications too.

Fantastic collection of artwork from British artists. Lots to discover and always an extremely friendly, obliging and welcoming service from every member of the team. The framer is equally obliging and frames paintings well, exactly as requested, in addition to providing advice. I found the gallery due to wanting to buy some Susan Herbert works, but have since discovered many other beautiful paintings and a lovely friendly gallery dog! There are frequently new exhibitions meaning always something to catch one's attention and the choice is really varied. I'm delighted with all my purchases. Chris is passionate about supporting British artists and has a wealth of knowledge. Thank you Chris, Phoebe, Edina and the whole team!

Such a lovely gallery! Incredible staff and warm atmosphere that you definitely won't get from Christie's or other galleries in the vicinity 😅will definitely be back soon!

Always a pleasure, such a cosy and friendly place. Sadly I wasn’t able to visit the gallery for its Annual Sale this year but managed to secure a couple of beautiful bargains via the online portal. At first it seemed like madness to indulge in art purchases in the wake of all the Christmas expenses but, thinking about it, I managed to save enough money off the original purchase prices to be able to afford a short break to Venice next month. So win, win. Thanks Chris and all your lovely team there. X

Stunning! The space and inventory in this gallery is absolutely beautiful. There’s such a variety of works and something that appeals to all styles and budgets. The staff were inviting, knowledgeable, and helpful. Will definitely be back soon!

Way overpriced, the markup on some of the items, is absolutely crazy, do some research before you commit to buying, check the past auction prices on invaluable or any other good auction website. I do not recommend Chris Beetles Gallery many other sellers at reasonable prices.

THE place to browse or buy original art work from most contempory artists. Their collection of cartoons must be unique and includes the originals from Matt (Daily Telegraph) and Peter Brooks (The Times) and Private Eye. I enjoy popping in and the staff really do make you feel welcome.

Amazing gallery, I love the constant turnover and richness of the artworks. Staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable - and you know you’re getting the real thing!

Yelp
I know about security, but this is ridiculous! You walk along Bond Street and there are many 'bespoke' posh stores that you have to ring the door bell to gain entry? Well, this gallery locks visitors in just to look at photographs! Not just any photographs, mind you. I happened to walk past Chis Beetles Gallery in Ryder Street, off Piccadilly and it had an impressive display of Bill Brandt's famous nude pics and others. The nudes are his most recognised works, black and white, often distorted studies of the female body. Each print was going for £2,300, and there were many red dots. I thought there was a recession going on! To enter the gallery, you have to ring the bell and be let in, once in, the gallery staff locks the door behind you and leaves you to admire the gods, oops, goods. To get out, you will have to catch the attention of a member of staff to unlock the door. Amusing.

Yelp
I purchased from overseas and didn't receive eveything i purchased. I was then ignored. Be aware when purchasing from abroad. Quality of what i did receive was ok.

Yelp
My experience of this attractive gallery is mixed. Good premises, high quality pictures, and delightful staff. The owner Chris Beetles was rude and offhand. His embarrassed staff said he has 'off-days'. He can't afford to have off days when dealing with the public. Summary: visit the gallery, buy the pictures, but pray that you don't meet the hapless owner.
