I researched Chris's studio prior to arriving from the US, in hopes of getting into one of his classes. I love his work and I'm a fan of his daughter, Freya. Outstanding cermacist on his own, and knowing he taught his daughter, I wanted to learn from him. Much to my delight, I was able to book a half day class to focus on throwing large forms. Chris was great. He was patient, focussed on my technique, found areas for improvement and helped me make adjustments. The whole experience immediately improved my skills, I'm very happy I made the journey, and can't wait to get back home to practice. I highly recommend him to all potters, beginner or advanced, looking to learn and/or refine your skills.

I have been visiting Chris' studio for a number of years now, and I have no hesitation in recommending it. The studio has everything you need, and the environment is helpful, friendly and laid-back, which is all a reflection of Chris as a person. Chris has a wealth of knowledge, and his advice is why I keep going back, as it means I keep learning.

The studio has everything you need, including an excellent choice of glazes. Everyone’s friendly, welcoming and helpful. A day there is great fun!

I had a whole day throwing session with Chris to improve my throwing skill in his lovely bright studio. The studio is full of energy and good vibes. After the whole day, I left with a satisfied smile as I learnt new skills, corrected some of my bad throwing habits, and met many nice fellows :)
