"First things first: be sure to make a reservation, because this place is in high demand! This isn't surprising given the fantastic eight-course set menu that the kitchen team around Christian Steska and Jansen Schouten proposes in this smart townhouse situated in the beautiful old town. For those who prefer a lighter option, an attractively priced four-course set menu is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The restaurant comprises both Christian & Friends and the adjoining wine bar Bordeaux & Friends with its distinctive wine rack – it has an excellent selection of wines with many top labels at fair prices. The open kitchen sends out modern dishes that are meticulously prepared with great attention to detail. The chef has a penchant for regional produce, including caviar – Fulda boasts two sustainable sturgeon farms with their own caviar production. Fantastic night. Loved the relaxed atmosphere of the dining room and the friendliness of all the staff. We were the only English speaking diners and they made sure we were included in everything which was so nice. Food was outstanding, in particular the fish courses. If I ever find myself near Fulda in the future I will definitely be paying them a visit again.

During my recent visit to Christian & Friends, Tastekitchen in Fulda, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality and creativity of the cuisine. Ich war das erste Mal bei euch und es war ein absolut toller Abend. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und locker begrüßt. Wurden als Neujahrs Geschenk auf einen Champagner eingeladen welche super lecker war. Die beiden Service Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam aber keineswegs aufdringlich. Das Essen war rundum der Hammer. Es war alles super zum Restaurant und Konzept passen und einzigartig präsentiert. Wir haben sogar den Kollegen in der Küche einen Besucht abstatten dürfen . Es war ein rundum gelungener und toller Abend im Restaurant und man hat sich gefühlt als wäre man bei Freunden essen durch den sehr herzlichen und freundlichen Umgang mit uns als Gast . Es wird definitiv nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein das wir bei euch waren.

Wir hatten ursprünglich zu dritt reserviert, konnten den Termin aber krankheitsbedingt nicht vollständig wahrnehmen. Umso schöner, dass das Restaurant so kulant reagiert hat. Die nicht genutzte Reservierung wurde uns anstandslos als Gutschein gutgeschrieben. Eine wirklich großzügige und kundenfreundliche Geste. Zwei von uns konnten das Menü dennoch genießen. Obwohl wir aufgrund der Fahrt auf eine Weinbegleitung verzichtet haben, wurden wir äußerst kompetent beraten. Die Empfehlung zum passenden Wein haben das Menü perfekt abgerundet. Die Gänge waren hervorragend aufeinander abgestimmt. Rundum ein Geschmacks- und Genusserlebnis. Ein Restaurant, das nicht nur kulinarisch überzeugt, sondern auch menschlich und serviceorientiert herausragt. Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf unseren nächsten Besuch – diesmal hoffentlich wieder zu dritt.
