I came to this location and they had a note on the door stating that they were having "issues" or something. Ok great, I walk away. A young lady comes out and tells me that their Square card reader was not working, But she did apologize and tell me to have a good day. I sat in the car for another couple of minutes to determine how far another location was.
There was another car that pulled in a few seconds after me, but they read the sigh from their car and saw me walking away and then they pulled out. As they were leaving , a mid age lady walks out and flags them back. I opened my car door and asked was their machine was back working and she says no. (So I'm trying to figure out why you're flagging a car to come back, even though I was their first and STILL THERE). Meanwhile, another employee is unlocking the main entrance door. So I called and asked if they were back open because I just seen them allowing ppl to walk in and get serviced, Jennifer tells me yes that they are open.....
So I walk back in and select my cookies, she gives them to me for free ( although I did offer to give exact change, twice).
Needless to say, you need to treat everyone the same, if you have a customer sitting in your lot, knowing you are opening the door, don't go out of your way to flag another car that is clearly leaving, to come back. It doesn't make any sense. Be mindful of how you're interacting with customers, it makes a difference whether they come back or not.
