Mother's Day Brunch - What a horrible rip-off this was! Never again. My family and I went to Christina's today for brunch - 12:30 pm reservation. Were not seated til around 1:00 PM, although there were plenty of tables. Many people waiting to be seated were also frustrated.
I've had several good dinners at Christina's over the past few years, but this Buffet Brunch priced at $27.99 was the absolute worst.
The "buffet" if you can call it that was set up on folding tables in another room. There was no attempt at even making the tables look presentable. There was a soggy fruit sales, some sliced beef and ham, salad, homes fries, lousy looking pancakes, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs some bacon, and sausage. And another separate table in the corner with desserts - which looked equally bad as the main buffet table.
After returning to our table after visiting the buffet room, we began to eat and realized most everything we were eating that should've been hot was at room temperature, including eggs, eggs benedict, home fries, etc. Plus we had to get our own water and coffee from another buffet table. Fortunately, our waitress was very good and got coffee for us, which was again not hot. There were no water glasses available on the table so she had to bring us water, as well.
After the "maIn course," we went back to try the desserts -- and they were pretty much all gone. There were a few chocolate mouses and some slivers of cake left.
This was a VERY EMBARRASSING and DISAPPOINTING Mother's Day event for my family.. And, did I mention $27.99!! This was barely worth $7.99. I'm shocked that Christina's would treat customers this way. They clearly do not serve a brunch buffet regularly -- and just did not know what they were doing or how to price it appropriately. Or how to make a buffet table look appealing. Many other customers were clearly upset and shocked.
