This was my first time ever being here. My wife and I attended a “date night” promotion. The food was absolutely delicious. The “deal” we got came with a charcuterie board and a pesto chicken. I do t remember the type of wine but for us wine beginners it was a wine that we enjoyed. Everyone was very nice to work with from buying the tickets to getting our food. On a day it was near 100 degrees they had seating inside a massive refrigerator. It was a great experience and we look forward to to another “date night” with them……

This was my first time at Christopher Cellars. We had a wonderful time. Great wine, best chardonnay I have ever had. You can bring your own food or buy some great food at the food truck, sit outside, buy a bottle or glass of wine and enjoy. We were there on Friday and they had a nice jazz band entertaining us.

Google
Cool spot we will have to check out a bit more. We got 2 flights to share between 3 of us. There was live music on the Sunday we went, but only caught the tail end of it. Closed a bit early at 6pm Sunday, so wish they opened a bit later.

Google
Amazing. I truly recommend stopping by to at least taste their wines. You will absolutely find 3-4 wines you love. Service, knowledge and atmosphere are wonderful! Joined, and enjoying the many events they offer! *Year later, still a member and enjoying the amazing wines, atmosphere, and people!

Google
Great little spot for a glass or two of excellent, interesting and a bottle to take home. Wine's great; everyone's friendly, humble and down-to-earth; and the patio's perfect for low-sun relaxation. Get on over there, have a great time and support a local business that deserves your support.

Google
I was thrilled to see that Christopher Cellars was hosting date nights! We went out on the first one of the series and had a fantastic dinner! It came with wine but we also sampled a flight trio. Wonderful food and awesome staff. Thank you Christopher Cellars for hosting such a fun local event.

Google
I absolutely love coming here. The wine is great and the owners are personable and give great info about the wine. This particular bottle you can come back and refill for a discounted price. This is a good house red table wine...

Google
Awesome winery in Elk Grove. Definitely a hidden gem! They have great vibes, delicious and smooth wines, and staff that are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Dog friendly and kid friendly. You can bring your own food and there are food trucks as well. I've been when there's live music too, it is super relaxing. I reccomend checking out their website prior to visiting to see what food truck or band will be playing. I became a member here less than a year ago and I am not disappointed. I trust that the wines here will enlighten my taste buds.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! I loved all the wine optons-- there was something for everyone's preferences. They gave me plenty of tastings. The food was amazing! The little crackers and dips were addicting. The poke tostada things from the food truck were surprisingly tasty for someone who doesn't like fish. The music, vibes, and atmosphere were perfect. It was nice and cool in the cellar, and they had yummy wine slushies. The vocalist/guitar player was superb-- a very talented man. This was one of my first Yelp events and everyone was so friendly and social. Definitely coming back in the near future.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Came here for my first Yelp Elite event and I was so glad this was my first time. The winery hosted their wines and other wine brands (Heleje and Perlegos) and had areas set up for tastings. The inside of their winery was quaint and we were able to sample wines inside the barrels which was a very cool experience to learn about the process. Also, their wines were really good especially their Picpoul Blanc. The service was great too! They were kind, helpful and checked in to make sure we were taken care of. The entire experience was so fun. We enjoyed good music, great food from West Taco Truck and Boulevard Bistro and great wine with fellow yelpers. Can't wait to visit this place again!

Yelp
Wine so good we're club members! Good selection of food vendors rotating through, and a very welcoming outdoor seating area make this our favorite winery!

Christine Thi N.

Yelp
Me and my husband have been here twice with our pup! There's an outside and indoor seating area! Service is great every time. I love that there's AC blasting indoors for us too! We love their wine slushies!! Clean indoor space with lots of seating! Dog friendly too (even indoors thank you!!!) highly recommend this spot!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. It wasn't that busy, but there was live music about to start. There's plenty of outdoor seating and small amount of seats inside. The wines were mostly fruity but just bland. There wasn't complexity. The tasting fee was $10 for 5 wines. There were annoying fruit flies flying around the tasting room. Looks dog friendly. Sparkling Barbera- ok Chardonnay- not typical taste, fruity Zinfandel Cuvee- fruity, bland Nebbiolo- fruity , bland Cab- Fruity but bland

Yelp
Love this place. We have been members for 2 years now. Great Friday night hang out and unwind to start the weekend. Loved the Thursday night dinner series last summer. Sangiovese is dope! Love their Rose.

Yelp
We came here for a Yelp wine event and had a blast! There were live music and my husband and I danced to the performer's song which was Tennessee Whiskey song. All the vendors were so nice and I finally met Rachel too!! I used to live in near this place and never noticed this hidden gem here. Great place for friend hangout or a date, or just come solo and listen to some live music!

Christina S.

Yelp
A nice winery with an excellent sparkling wine. Today they had live jazz to go with the beautiful sunshine underneath the oak trees. #TravelsWithDucky

Yelp
If you have read any of my past reviews, you have probably gathered that my wife and I love to go wine tasting. Ironically, we have never closed out the new year wine tasting; therefore, we thought it would be cool if we enjoyed some tastings on New Year's Eve. After speaking with a friendly employee who confirmed that they were open and strongly encouraged us to stop by, we embarked on the 12 minute drive from our home. Upon entering we were warmly greeted by an employee named Sharon, who welcomed, seated, and provided us with the tasting menu. Even though the winery was moderately busy, Sharon did a great job of working the room and ensuring that she perfectly timed the next pour as we finished off the previous offering (without making us feel rushed). With each tasting Sharon gave a brief backstory and noted what would pair best with the offering. As the tasting concluded, my wife and I elected to purchase a bottle of the delicious 2022 Sangiovese. If you're looking for an informative + pleasant wine tasting experience, I recommend checking out Christopher Cellars!

Yelp
Went to outdoor entertainment with friends and family. We brought our own little appetizers for dinner. The band was great. Also, bought several bottles of wine. They were wonderful.

Yelp
Lively evening, good music in a pleasant venue. Parking was adequate. We will go again

Yelp
Great wine and a nice place to hang outdoors. Service was great, and the owner is very approachable/knowledgable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped by on a cloudy but rain free Saturday afternoon after a friend had posted they had been on Friday. After parking in the gravel driveway, we walked into the spacious tasting room and were offered to take a seat inside or outside. As it was warmer outside, we decided to enjoy the outdoors. Our super attentive host, Mike, quickly started the tastings explaining what each wine pairs well with, where the grapes are grown, as well as details on the wine and label. He even had us try two wines that were not on the tasting menu. It was so difficult on what to select to purchase. However, we went with the crisp and refreshing Muscat. As the wine is amazing, the service is outstanding, and they have events every Friday, March through October. we will definitely be back. Even better, no drive to Napa or even Lodi it's a 10 minute stress free drive from my house in Elk Grove !

Yelp
I absolutely love Christopher Cellars, and all the people who work here. I love the owners of the Vineyard as well, and I can't say enough about the experience that I had both Friday and Saturday. The environment is so incredible, and super chill. Not only did I enjoy, some of their fabulous wine on Friday night, but I also enjoyed my meal from Riverside Clubhouse, made by Chip, of grilled cheese and tomato soup. I can't wait to come back next Friday for the music event.

Yelp
Customer service with a smile. Wine is delicious. We went for the Thursday night special. Two dinners a bottle of wine $50. The jambalaya is amazing!!! Live music on the patio by Shane Q (from The Voice) omg. His voice is so good.

Yelp
I enjoyed visiting this spot with my family. There are outdoor and indoor tables. I was glad to find that the indoor had great AC on a hot day. Three of us did the tasting for 10 dollars each and one person in my group got a glass of rose. She didn't care for the rose, so the host comped it which I thought was very generous of them. Overall, I enjoyed visiting this spot.

Yelp
Wow loved this winery... we were going to listen to some live music by Sunset River band and drink some delicious Christopher Cellar wines. The service was very outstanding. The pourers knew a lot about the wines being sold, very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this winery if you're in the Elk Grove area. They do have food trucks, but also you can bring in a picnic, kids and the dog... I will definitely be back. The Chardonnay was outstanding... they offer a wine club and who wouldn't join with a 5 star rating...

Yelp
Had a great time partying in the rain watching a friends band play. Wine was good, ADA accessible bathroom outside (much appreciated) and good food truck! Kid friendly, heaters outside and overall a fun place to listen to music while sipping some wine!

Yelp
Wonderful, laid back experience. Lovely barrel tasting room. Crisp, clean & refreshing Albariño. Husband enjoyed all 5 tastings. Really nice owners full of knowledge, thank you god a great Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Stopped cause some friends were there, had a glass of wine and enjoyed the band "the why nots" the wine was good, atmosphere great and the staff were very kind. But the Band,, they were awesome!
google avatar

Suveen S.

Yelp
First time going to this winery and had a great experience. The owners were really friendly and helpful with the wine selection. They happened to have a jazz band playing which added to the ambiance. The only downside I would say is that the food truck had already left by the time we got there at 5 and there were no snacks to purchase. Will definitely go again.

Yelp
Calling ALL wine enthusiasts...don't walk, RUN to this quant and uniquely inspired winery. During a recent visit to the area, a friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavors of the wine here. The staff who work there are another reason to visit this place, their passion for the wine flowed freely as they told the story of how this place came to be and it enhanced our appreciation for the wine maker and his vision. Here are a few more things to consider on your upcoming visit: - Bites: You can bring your own bites, brie and crackers pair well with their wines. We also brought some olives and mixed nuts too. - Prices: The price range for a tasting or a flight are reasonable + they typically give you a small taste of a popular wine, as well. Sweet little bonus! - Community Support: They have events such as live music and food trucks on Friday evenings, they promote local business and have a strong sense of community. - Vibe: They don't just care about their wine, they care about their guests, as we never felt rushed to leave or hurried to finish our tasting (we were there around closing time). The JOY they create with their wine and welcoming atmosphere are contagious, everyone a the winery had a SMILE on their face. Also, I noticed that people were connecting and taking time to share what wines they liked with each other at nearby tables - we made some new friends that day. Come for the wine and stay for the experience.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday night and it was packed! Great music, food truck was awesome, and wine selection was great. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Christopher Cellars is always a good time. The wine is delicious and the staff are always so friendly and ready to answer any questions.

Yelp
This winery is in Elk Grove, it is cute, they offered some good wine, they had live music and a food truck. It was nice to relax and chat with neighbors.
google avatar

Darrin G.

Yelp
OK, this is EG, Bradshaw Road, one wouldn't think wine this good would be found here, yet indeed it is, and so much more. Jerry is an absolute gem walking you through the wine, and more importantly, the wine maker's passions. The wines here are impressive, simple yet nuanced and layered with flavors and smoothness. The grounds easily accommodate many people and is so close to Sacramento. Admittedly, I wasn't expecting to be impressed...it's nice to be proven wrong sometimes. Christopher is making a name for himself and the future is bright. We look forward to experiencing great wines and events. Do not overlook this winery!
google avatar

Kami J.

Yelp
Wine was good, people very nice, lots of tables and chairs with umbrellas...the only downside is no grass. It's all on cement...but I'd still go back. Music was good and the bathrooms were clean and air condition

Yelp
Today was my 1st time visiting as a guest. The impression at the start went well, however, as my party was finishing up at the end of the day, our table was visited w/ a, "let's wrap it up". We figured we had a bit longer to go, and we honestly did not realize Christopher cellars was closed already as the closing time was not brought up. (I recommend disclosing the closing time when preparing guests to leave). It turns out that we were there 45mins after closing at the time. One of the hosts came back again and was incredibly tactless with his dismissal towards us, which left the nastiest taste in our mouths and kind of spoiled our entire experience. Christopher cellars, you can thank him for ruining your reputation by word of mouth. He said that he, "Saw that", he noticed we poured out the last of our bottle, which was just enough for taste to go around for our 7 glasses. About as much as a sample we were given. So he walked up towards us tensely and said that he saw us pour another glass. My father said he had to pour the last of the bottle as it was just a bit. The host replied, "No you didn't have to. We appreciate you, but we're all trying to go home". The tension was thick and his tone made us all become quiet. I just feel as though he could've handled it a bit more professionally. I can guarantee you, if the time of closing was brought up, we would've headed out more urgently. We thought they closed at 6. Like I said, it was my 1st visit there, so it's not like I'm a regular that knows the hours of operation. We all decided to never go back. We were so upset on our way out, my cousin had to tell the host that he didn't need to say anymore. We hope Christopher Cellars takes this review and uses this as a coaching opportunity to train hosts more professional tactfulness.

Alfred T.

Yelp
This could be a 5 star establishment but we were there with friends for an event staff member came over said can u please finish up which we were trying to 10 minutes later he comes.back with attitude right after saying we appreciate you need with we don't appreciate this so beware and not gonna be a member now.

Megan H.

Yelp
Love love love this place!! Great employees, beautiful spot, lots of fun entertainment.

Yelp
I'm so impressed with Chris, his sweet wife, and Jerry. Jerry pours and educates you on the wine and the purpose for each one. Chris poppef while working hard outside to introduce himself to us. I loved every wine we tasted so much, I purchased 1 of everything. Great outdoor patio. I will be back very soon!

Yelp
Took a different route to Elk Grove one day and saw that there is a winery off Bradshaw. Did some research and looked them up, added them to my winery list. I then noticed Christopher Cellars on the list for Best of Elk Grove voting. Heard from my Optometrist that Christopher Cellars is amazing. This is a sign, I must come experience this! So I came in with my girlfriend to do some tastings. Not sure what to expect on my first visit, but parking is on dirt road, the tasting room is very chilly and perfect to be in for a hot day. The tasting room had barrels and barrels of wine and your table will be a barrel to do some tastings as opposed to going to a counter. Staff will come by, greet you, show the tasting menu, and provide great information. Staff are very knowledgeable and good at giving the background on the wine you are about to taste. It feels like you've experienced the drink prior to even tasting it. There are so many unique wines made by Christopher. Barbera Rosè was an eye opener and so was the Cinsault. I am usually a no way rosé, but theirs is on point! Their Albarino was so crisp and refreshing. All employees are super friendly and looked happy to be there. They made me wish I was serving wine and intriguing information. I didn't notice any food being served but heard that they have food trucks on Fridays. There are plentiful outdoor seating and also live music on a Saturday afternoon. It was a very relaxing experience I'll tell ya. Kid and dog friendly as well in case you want to bring your family.

Yelp
We were at Christopher Cellars for the very first time and it was an very impressive wine tasting experience. We had such a fun time while learning so much about wines. It is a stunning vineyard and truly a pleasure to visit. Both Chris and Candice was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable. Their wines are very refreshing and tasty. I highly recommend going!

Yelp
My husband and I came tonight for the first time and Mike helped us and gave us so much information and we loved this place we became members! Can't wait to be back soon!

Yelp
We love this winery love the wine . The owners go out of their way to educate you on the wines so you choose what you really like. We are wine members of both the regular and the celebration wines. Love the discounts you receive for being a wine member! If you haven't tried them it's a must! Fran Bohlmann

Yelp
I cannot speak more highly about a winery than I can about Christopher Cellars. The moment I sampled the Winemakers Select I knew I would be a 12 bottle wine club member. With Christopher Cellars you get the craftsmanship of a boutique wine with the prices of the big labels. What really brings it all together is the passion the owners, Chris and Candice, have about their product. To be able to hear about the creative of process that went into each wine is what takes the wine from a great tasting wine to a real work of art.

Bonnie J.

Yelp
Very nice winery with great wines. Chris spent a lot of time with us explaining his vision and his style for the wines. It's easy to see that he is super passionate about the quality of his wines and his customers. We love all the wines. I especially loved that his style is true to the expression of the varietal. We joined the wine club and we are very excited about the future. He gave us barrel tastings of their Barbera aged in french and American oak and they were phenomenal. I recommend this winery.

Kelvin L.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. It's has charm and ambiance without any of the "snootiness" some wineries can have. Chris and his wife are just wonderful. So personable and welcoming. The knowledge and enthusiasm Chris displays for his art is amazing. I look forward to their success and watching their small place become a gem of Elk Grove. --and their wine is WONDERFUL!!!
google avatar

Kylie M.

Yelp
The flight of wine is only $10! impressed with every wine they offer! Definitely will be joining their club! If you're in the Elk Grove area and want good quality affordable wine, check them out!
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
I love the Chardonnay and Rose' . The reds are good also! They are a young couple with so much passion and worth ethic. It's so nice to see a local couple making wine and making a living! Kicks ass Chris and Candice......

Jerry L.

Yelp
Christopher Cellars is a gem among the many wineries that sprout each year. For a wine enthusiast, California has so much to offer and I am always seeking new wineries that embrace the spirit of California Wine. The winemaker, Chris, crafts balanced wines of exceptional quality and value, and understands the synergy between vineyard and end product. After speaking with him at length, it is clear he has exceptional skill and enthusiasm. He takes great effort in managing the vineyards, as well as having a good relationship with growers to produce exceptional fruit. These are unprecedented times and starting a new winery requires dedication and innovation. I love the "Tasting to Go" that allows you to experience the wines and order those you love online for delivery or use the curbside pickup. This is a winery not to miss!
google avatar

Joshua W.

Yelp
Delicious wines and great customer service! This winery focuses primarily on red wines but there Chardonnay and Malbec Rose are great! My personal favorite is the winemaker's select which is blend of Petit Verdot, Zinfandel and Malbec. The winemaker/owner Christopher was the one that provided the service which made the experience even better. I would highly recommend visiting this winery. They have great wines, family-owned and amazing service. during covid-19 they are doing "wine flights to go" and curbside pick up.
google avatar

Logan G.

Yelp
Usually not a fan of Rosé but this one surprised me! Probably one of the best I've had and is perfect for spring/summer time. I also was able to try the Zin and was very pleased. Overall great quality and I can't wait to try the rest!

Jullie A.

Yelp
I love the wine that this young man makes! Candice and Chris understand customer service and always over deliver so if you want the best go by and purchase some of their wine. Malbec is my personal favorite Each wine is special and unique!

Cheyanne K.

Yelp
The wine is so amazing! I loved their Rosé and my brother absolutely loved their Malbec wine! Definitely will be getting again!

Whitney W.

Yelp
Wow I can't begin to explain how much I LOVE Christopher Cellars. The service is unmatched by any other winery I have been to. Their rose is my favorite and I buy that stuff by the case. This is a family owned business that truly cares about their customers and community. Can't wait to see what they do in the future!!

Tim D.

Yelp
Excellent wines at very fair prices. Join the club and return the bottles for best value. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Amazing wines and customer service. They provided multiple options for wine club membership including "reduce, reuse, refill program" ($20 bottle of wine 1st time/refills $10).
