Today was my 1st time visiting as a guest. The impression at the start went well, however, as my party was finishing up at the end of the day, our table was visited w/ a, "let's wrap it up". We figured we had a bit longer to go, and we honestly did not realize Christopher cellars was closed already as the closing time was not brought up. (I recommend disclosing the closing time when preparing guests to leave). It turns out that we were there 45mins after closing at the time. One of the hosts came back again and was incredibly tactless with his dismissal towards us, which left the nastiest taste in our mouths and kind of spoiled our entire experience. Christopher cellars, you can thank him for ruining your reputation by word of mouth. He said that he, "Saw that", he noticed we poured out the last of our bottle, which was just enough for taste to go around for our 7 glasses. About as much as a sample we were given. So he walked up towards us tensely and said that he saw us pour another glass. My father said he had to pour the last of the bottle as it was just a bit. The host replied, "No you didn't have to. We appreciate you, but we're all trying to go home". The tension was thick and his tone made us all become quiet. I just feel as though he could've handled it a bit more professionally. I can guarantee you, if the time of closing was brought up, we would've headed out more urgently. We thought they closed at 6. Like I said, it was my 1st visit there, so it's not like I'm a regular that knows the hours of operation. We all decided to never go back. We were so upset on our way out, my cousin had to tell the host that he didn't need to say anymore. We hope Christopher Cellars takes this review and uses this as a coaching opportunity to train hosts more professional tactfulness.
