Google
I love the veggie tostada bowl. So flavorful. You won't even realize there isn't any meat. I scrape the bottom every time. The veggie burrito is good as well. Don't forget to get the lime...

Google
Was so excited to try this place and was soo disappointed. Staff was rushed and didnt ask if we wanted sour cream or sauce and once we ordered all sat at table with (I believe manager) on there phones and eating. We needed a lid and we were missing part of our order and they were annoyed to have to help. Food was super bland and unflavorable and def not worth the cost. Most likely will not to return!

Google
Great food! Friendly and quick service! Best Mahi tacos I have had in a very long time!

Adelina P.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish packed with flavor, and super affordable. The owner, James was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt welcome throughout our visit. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and excellent service!

Jawdat A.

Google
The service was great, the prices were a little high and food was alright but nothing special

Google
Great margaritas and authentic Mexican tacos. Super choices of real Mexican beers and quality tequila. Loved the burrito with chorizo and tacos carne Asad and taco al pastor. Delish!!

Google
Chronic Tacos is a fantastic spot for delicious Mexican food. I tried the carne asada burrito and a carne bowl, and both were absolutely exquisite. The flavors were bold, the portions generous, and everything tasted fresh. The service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed. If you're looking for quality Mexican food, I highly recommend Chronic Tacos!

Google
Wow. Well. I did not expect this to be so flavorful and so fast. Everything was absolutely perfect about my visit today. I went with the carne asada tacos. Serving sizes were perfect. Price was not bad. Flavor... Just amazing. Great great visit. Too bad I don't have one of these closer to home. I'd go all the time.

Yelp
After leaving Cooper's Hawk Winery, we were still hungry. We looked up some places and I remembered how good Chronic Tacos were lol. It was right down the street, so it was easy to get there. Other establishments were attached, but it was easy parking. Only one couple was in there. We were greeted and informed what was fulfilling and popular on the menu. I chose to get the bowl and my friend chose the Quesadilla. It was spacious inside with high top tables and low seating ones as well. They both were satisfying. Its a little ways from me, but I do plan to visit soon.

Yelp
I grabbed these carne asada fries and they hit the spot! The meat was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the diced onions and tomatoes added a nice freshness. The melted cheese tied everything together perfectly. That said, next time I'm definitely customizing it with some queso, jalapeños, and guac to kick it up a notch--would've added some creamy heat and texture to take it over the top. Solid as-is, but with those extras, it would've been fire.

Yelp
Chronically: * Cheap: It's bad enough they charge ya for the chips and salsa, but then apparently you can only have ONE dinky little cup of salsa? Traditionally, taquerias and taco trucks offer a variety of sauces and let you select what and how much you need. * Unpleasant: The guy at the counter made no effort at all to be welcoming, even on a very quiet Sunday afternoon and after I took a few minutes to study the digital menu since this was my first time at a Chronic Tacos. As others have mentioned, the ordering process and conditions are surprisingly complicated. * Filthy: The men's room was what you expect to see in dive bars, filling stations, etc. So why three stars and not less? To be fair, the food wasn't bad (tip: the fish tacos are made fresh and to order, as where the beef, pork, etc. are sadly scooped out of sad cafeteria-style pans). Even the chips and salsa, despite the fee and limited quantity of sauce, were OK. Still, one should expect a lot more from a chain that hypes its authentic "roots" in Orange County, CA (lol!).

Yelp
My favorite place to come to . I always get the steak bowl and it is amazing! For dessert I get the churro bites and it is a 10/10. The customer service is always so welcoming and friendly .

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but I just can't. Their ordering process seems straight forward but it's also got some complicated sub rules. And the place is kind of noisy to the point where conversation was challenging. The final push for me was that their food is so salty I can't barely take it. I got the tacos Al pastor, black beans, and Spanish rice. The Al pastor was dry and they put a bizarre sauce on it. The beans were super salty and mixing in the rice didn't help. I don't think I'll be back. Maybe it's just me. I hate being "The Gripe" but tonight I'm just not feeling the vibe!

Peter H.

Yelp
Ordered a burrito online with Al Pastor as the protein. When I got home, I discovered the meat was missing. Given the service and what I paid, I'll be going to Chipotle next time and get exactly what I paid for.

Yelp
In Texas there is a chain of taco places called Torchy's... I truly miss the food from them since we moved here! However we recently tried Chronic tacos and while not a substitute for Torchy's they are a good taco place in their own right. The inside was clean... lots of room and well lit. The people behind the counter are nice and speedy. My family all ordered their version of their tacos... while I had the monster, Surf and Turf Burrito! It is about 5lbs of food and 10lbs of flavor! Man it was loaded with rice beans steak pico shrimp and just plain old goodness! Well worth checking out... it even had a bit of a bite... some heat in the seat... a little fire for hire... It was spicy good! If you have not tried out Chronic I suggest that you do!
google avatar

Kandus J.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place after seeing some good photos and videos of their food. I was highly disappointed in the food though. They are WAY overpriced and do not give a lot of food. Plus it's definitely missing flavor! My partner and I agreed, if we want Mexican, we will just go to an actual Mexican restaurant! At least then we can get flavor and a margarita to go with this high prices!

Jim B.

Yelp
Typically I won't eat Mexican food outside of Texas, New Mexico Arizona or Southern California, but I did - and wish I wouldn't of. Food quality very poor. I had the Al Pastor and it was the absolutely worst I've ever had - couldn't even finish my dinner. Also had Churros for desert - another fail.

Yelp
Never heard from anyone in management, just wanted to update the lack of customer service
google avatar

Charlis F.

Yelp
I love this place. The quality is much better than a Chipotle or Moe's and the prices are competitive. You also can't beat their Mahi tacos. The fish is so incredibly fresh and both the grilled and battered versions are phenomenal and worth the $2 up charge IMO. I really can't emphasize the freshness enough, it truly stands out. Service is not overtly friendly but it's worth it. Perfect for a quick bite.
google avatar

Yelp
Really hard to hear the person taking orders behind the plastic protecting sheet orders because Not only was he having to wear a mask of course, additionally with the music so loud and The high ceilings makes everyone's conversations so loud! Once ordered I asked the cashier to repeat it just to make sure. The person taking the order was nice enough to come to my table afterwards and apologize that it was difficult to hear him. I ordered the mahi-mahi bowl which you got four pieces not sure it was worth what it cost but after reading the reviews I wanted to try it. I'm not sure I would order it again!

Syndy W.

Yelp
was given recommendation to this spot for tacos and they did not disappoint! So yum !

Ashley Johnson J.

Yelp
The food and customer service is amazing. Best tacos in Georgia. Y'all have got to give these folks a try
google avatar

Martika J.

Yelp
I haven't been to dine here in sometime but at one point it was my favorite place to eat lunch at. Today the service was just okay. What I didn't too much care for it the employees scratching his face and slinging his hair back with his hands, not the most pleasant nor sanitary sight to see. The food this evening was not its best.

Yvonne O.

Yelp
I'm new to GA, so thought I'd try Chronic Tacos out. (It reminds me of Chipotle.). I ordered the asada tacos with a side of chips, queso, and guacamole. The beef did not have flavor, other than grease. The queso and guacamole were very salty, but edible. The queso was the consistency of old Elmer's glue. I enjoyed the beans and rice. I threw everything else away.

Joshlyn J.

Yelp
Place is so gooood! Still sad they shut down their Chamblee location but I'll drive the 30 minutes for these tacos!!
google avatar

Yelp
Spacious restaurant with a laid back type ambiance. I got a mahi mahi burrito with chips and salsa and I gotta say, it was pretty good and very filling. The way this place operates it's like a chipotle-style restaurant where you go and tell them what you want in your burrito while they make it in front of you so because of this the service is quick. Overall a good place with some pretty tasty food, friendly service, and plenty of parking space. I'll definitely be coming by again!
google avatar

Sheena S.

Yelp
My son loves this place. Located across from Chuck E Cheese's. Portions are good, price is reasonable, and never really had a problem with any staff. Plenty of seating inside. Outdoor seating available as well. Plenty of parking.
google avatar

Andre' M.

Yelp
Man, was that disappointing. I'm guessing I ordered wrong. I got the nachos and paid the $2 extra to eliminate the standard meats to get shrimp. All it got me was five small shrimp and a serving of dried out nachos. I'm guessing the burritos are the way to go but I certainly don't want to risk another poor meal. I'm being generous with two stars.
google avatar

Dave A.

Yelp
Great quesadilla! Large enough for two people. The burrito was wonderful. The rice and beans not pictured were dried out and hard....overcooked. But everything else was good. Good service and tables were clean
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
It's rare finding a Mexican place that you walk out disappointed. Meats were dry and flavor was almost non-existent. Pretty much everything we tried missed the mark. Service - 3/5 Food - 3/5 Ambience - 3.5/5
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
The food was good (not spectacular) and the service was very good. You just need to remember that this is a fast food tex-mex chain restaurant. I had a mahi mahi burrito and a margarita, and both were on par. I do like that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. I will return.
google avatar

J C.

Yelp
I've given this location 5-6 opportunities to wow me over multiple years. I continually leave disappointed. When you walk in, it's silent. No music. No one greets you. The employees seem miserable to be there. The food is mediocre at best. You have to pay for chips separately, and the salsa is awful. Surcheros, 5-10 minutes down the road, is 100x better.
google avatar

Tanisha H.

Yelp
Came in for lunch because I wanted to see what this California burrito was all about.. I will say it was different having the fries inside of the burrito but it was still good. They packed it full of the ingredients!! I would definitely return!!
google avatar

Cedric W.

Yelp
Had the Chronic shrimp taco plate. Everything tasted fresh. I tried both the flour and corn taco shells and my preference from now on will be the flour tortillas. The Churro bites were crispy on the outside, soft doughy on the inside and perfectly sweet. You get a good amount of food.
google avatar

Unicorn S.

Yelp
Eh. It's was alright. With better seasonings, this establishment may become better overtime.
google avatar

Kerry K.

Yelp
I live in California so I'm spoiled with the best Mexican food and this place was passable but not really good. It works for a chain in Georgia but I even think Chipotle is probably fresher/better across the board.
google avatar

Perry M.

Yelp
Bringing a little Cali cool to North Georgia. Tacos are delicious and reasonably priced. They've got vegetarian options if you roll that way. And, they have beer on tap. I've been twice, once with the fam. Six of us ate for ~$40. (Full disclosure, we all drank water). Everyone reported live by what they ordered. I've had the Baja Fish, the veggie, the marinated pork, and the not-to-be-missed potato. I'd have that thing for dessert. It features a mashed potato filling with cheese and pretty sure onions in a corn tortilla, which is then deep fried with sour cream added. Dang that thing is good. It's like a savory Cali cannoli or something, if there could be such a thing. I'm getting a craving just writing about it. Chronic does have specials during the week. I'm adding those to the agenda :)

Yelp
My stepdaughter and I came in at 8:10 on a Thursday. They close at 9. It was obvious that they were hoping to close early (ingredients were out of the cooler and on the counter preparing to put them away). There were 4 men in front of us ordering. We were planning to dine-in, but decided to order to go to get out of there quicker so they could close. I've worked in restaurants, my husband manages a restaurant - I would never try to go somewhere that is actually *about to close.* We ordered and it was so chaotic and confusing. Someone else took one of our bags of food and the man at the counter just had no clue what was going on. He kept grumbling to his coworker about "why there were so many people coming in when they were about to close" quite loudly. His entire demeanor gave that off already - it didn't need to be stated. When we left, we realized we got half of what we ordered and the half we got was ... the most mediocre tacos. I would've preferred Taco Bell with the overall experience and quality of food.
google avatar

Yelp
Disappointed. I've experienced the original spots in California hoping for the same but sadly, came away dissatisfied. The food lacked flavor, was one note. It is a franchise which from my experience is never as good as the original but in the end, I think they over simiplied the menu making it bland. Better options elsewhere.
google avatar

Jes G.

Yelp
To be fair, I have mixed emotions about this review, but I decided that sticking with four stars was the most honest and true to my heart that I could be. What worked well: the food! While the price is a little more than I'd like to pay for a burrito or a burrito bowl, these were overflowing! I ordered a burrito and bowl in carne asada, and one burrito with Beyond Meat (not mine, I can't even fake that). The burritos were full to bursting and the bowl was filled up to the top as well. It was all quite flavorful, and I kept the bowl for the next day, and it even held up well as left over meal. I ordered through the app and everything came out just as expected, and that Baja Sauce is bomb. I ordered some extra on the side so I could eat it with other things, too. What needs work: I get it, things are weird in a pandemic. The app took forever to send through my order, so even once I got there it still took another 15 minutes to get my food (would've been the same had I just ordered it there). The employees were wearing masks, some more properly than others, but they still had masks on. People were doing okay with spacing out, but I still waited outside to get my food to go. The staff was friendly for the most part, but so slow (especially given how few orders there were), but I was happy in the long run. Give it a try. It certainly beats out some of the local chains for the same cost, and if you're a Beyond Meat fan, they've got what you need!

Yelp
I had never been to Chronic Taco before... I got a chicken burrito and it was tasty! I would love to try more on their menu, like the potato taco. Now, I just need to find a location in CA.

Yelp
In search for another new lunch place and stumbled upon Chronic Tacos. First thoughts weed and tacos can't lose lol! Joking but we have it it try walked in the place was clean and the decor was pretty cool they have this awesome mural that stretches along the entire wall. The ordering system is "chipotle style" pick a bowl, taco, burrito choose your meat and load up on the toppings. I ordered a chicken burrito and my wife ordered two tacos one mahi mahi and one chicken with tots n queso. Yeah I said tots n queso oh and a side of guac. Grabbed two Mexican cokes and sat down to eat and the food was good very good not bad at all I must say. The mahi mahi taco my wife had was super good she ordered it Baja style. I should have ordered that I will next time though. I'm a little salty her food was better then mine lol. The chicken burritos and tacos were seasoned very good nice taste guac was fresh I can complain. oh and the tots n queso which I never had in my life was on point it's just something about dipping potatoes in cheese that makes you love life. The owner James introduced himself and thanked us for coming he seems like a pretty cool guy who cares about his establishments reputation. We forgot to get the queso when we ordered our food and when I went back to ask for it turns out they didn't charge us and he gave it to us anyway! You the man James! Don't bug him asking for free queso either not gonna happen lol! Side note they take Apple Pay and have TV's and huge patio outside with seating oh and they serve beer! Give them a try!

Yelp
Arrived at 8:56 to be told they were closed. All good had been cleared to offer any options. Not great service to close before posted hours of operation.

Yelp
I love tacos, and this place looked interesting on the Yelp photos and has a cool name, so I had to try it. My friend drove down to meet me. The first thing she noted was the price of the tacos. She thought they were high. She's pretty money conscious, though. I thought the prices seemed pretty mainstream to me. You pick your base (salad, quesadilla, torta, bowl, burrito, taco) and then pick your protein, which can be anything from fish to veggie to steak to pork to chicken, and then you can pick different ways to have it made, street style was one way versus baja I believe. I wanted some chipotle sauce to go with my taco. They had a chipotle mayo, but I was disappointed that it was more mayo, less chipotle flavor. They did have a nice variety of sauces to add on, which I did to give it more taste. I chose the baja veggie taco, which comes with a healthy serving of guacamole. And then I got the fish taco, which was a lot less filling. I was disappointed in the tacos. I was expecting better, and they were just okay in my opinion. I think had the mayo had more of a chipotle flavor that would have helped. Secondly, I felt the fish taco had very little fish, and just a whole bunch of cabbage. Both were bland, but the condiments helped. For being a bit out of my way, and having the experience I had, I wouldn't really be back anytime soon. I think I'll keep searching for a better taco elsewhere.

Yelp
I was in the area so I decided to consult Yelp for a restaurant that was offering take out. Actually, Chronic Tacos had their seating area open but I was alone this time so I opted for take out. Restaurant looked very clean and inviting, though. I explained to the young lady behind the counter that this was my first time so she was patient as I surveyed the menu. I decided to opt for the 2 taco plate that comes with rice and beans. A review mentioned the tacos do not come with sides... maybe she was only ordering separate tacos? The 2 taco plate does have sides. It also does come with chips and salsa but I chose not to have any. I decided to try the veggie taco and the chicken taco (if you order a shrimp or fish taco it is $2 extra, fyi). It is set up like a Chipotle where you are able to pick what you want on your taco but, in my opinion, it is better. First, you can pick between flour or corn tortillas. I wish they had the crunchy corn tortillas as an option but they did not. Next they load up the tortilla with your main ingredient and then you begin picking your extras. One positive... guacamole is included in the price. I also loved that they offer shredded cabbage. I love cabbage on my tacos. At any rate, I chose the same for both tacos... pico, lettuce, shredded cabbage, cilantro, salsa verde and fresh jalopenos. You have a choice of beans (black, refried or pinto... I think)... I chose black beans and a choice of white rice or spanish rice... I chose spanish. She assembled it all in a plate for take out and placed in a bag while I was paying. The only tiny negative I have is that she tried to put the bag upright and the container was too large for it causing my beans to start seeping into the other parts of my container. Not a huge deal. I noticed it and turned the bag sideways to carry out but just a tip that they should slide the container in side ways and present it to customers that way. When I returned home, I dug into my meal. Incidentally, the tacos were wrapped well and labeled with stickers which was impressive. The tacos were amazing. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of veggies in my taco (they do not offer mushrooms and I was tempted to ask for 2 helpings) but in the end, with the other items I chose, it was not a bad size... still would love to see more veggies because veggies are pretty cheap. The taco was very flavorful. My second taco was the chicken one and I was pleasantly surprised that the chicken had such flavor to it. I am not a big meat eater but this chicken tasted really good and was moist. Both tacos were very tasty. I then had the rice and beans which I also really liked. Spanish rice is definitely better than white, in my opinion. I would really like to see them offer brown rice and mushrooms (because those are items I really enjoy eating with tacos). Overall, I would return to this restaurant. Oh, they offer alcoholic drinks and if I had been with someone else, I feel like I would have tried one of those, as well. They have an extensive menu with tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowlritos (burritos with no tortillas)... maybe I will try that next time... and more. I was pretty happy. Just a few more additions and it would be near perfect for me. I thought the prices were reasonable.

Yelp
Awesome tacos!! Love that you can order "street style," "gringo style," or "Baja style" tacos. This is my third time visiting and once again, it was delicious. I ordered the grilled shrimp taco "Baja style," Al pastor & carnitas "street style" (onion, cilantro, salsa). You can also choose between corn and flour tortillas. Combo upcharge comes with a drink and chips w/salsa. They also have margaritas and beer if you're thirsty for it. I will definitely be back to try out some more of the menu. James, the owner, is super friendly, too! Excellent establishment. 5 stars!

Yelp
Checked this place out on a saturday afternoon. There is plenty of seating and its a family or large group friendly. Similar to chipotles layout, they offer a build your own concept with fries, tacos, burritos. It is a little pricier but they offer a lot more meat options and toppings. It also tasted cleaner and fresher than other taco places that offer a similar menu. I tried their california burrito which comes with fries inside. The manager was nice and helped me build it with carne asada amongst other great things. It was $10 but also the biggest burrito ive had. Saved half of it for dinner. Guac is extra $1.50 but so good. They had some awesome sauces that gave mine a great kick! Loaded fries or tater tots was also $10 and build your own. If i lived nearby, id definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Tacos looked good too! Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
In town from New York for work. Someone at the job site recommended the team to try Chronic Tacos. Excellent recommendation. The smells once you walk in makes your mouth watery how good it was. Everything on the menu sounded great to get. My al pastor burrito was delicious and juicy and savory. And the churros was a great icing on the top. I'm full, I'm happy, I'm satisfied to go work another six hours energized. If I'm town, come grab some Chronic Tacos.
google avatar

Jacquelyn H.

Yelp
This is my first time to Chronic Tacos. My first piece of advice: DOWNLOAD THE APP!! You immediately get "50 points" towards their rewards program, which you could use towards a free taco (25pts) free churro (50 pts) or you can save it, rack up points and get a free meal (definitely the route I'm heading) When you first walk in you choose the type of meal you want (burrito, burr-rito bowl, tostada bowl, taco) etc then you choose your type of protein (carne asada, shrimp, chicken) the type of rice (spanish, cilantro lime) and your usual toppings (sour cream, cheese (they have an awesome blend I recommend it) pico de gallo, guac. They write everything down on a sheet of paper and hand it off to the kitchen to cook your proteins which is the last thing they add to your meal so it's fresh and hot. The staff is nice and answered any questions I had despite it being a Friday at prime time lunch hour. I didn't feel rushed. I have attached a picture of my bur-rito bowl and it was as good as it looks. My friend got a burrito and man that sucker was HUGE!! Definitely trying that the next time I go! Pricing is reasonable. If you've eaten and paid for Chipotle or Willy's this is in the same price range. They have in & outdoor seating great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This was the second time I came to this place and the first time was great! This time it was the absolute worst. We ordered two taco plates and the person filled out two tickets, when we got to the register the person who checked us out had no idea what we ordered and asked us. We told her two taco plates and ordered our drinks. She gave us a number and proceeded to help other people. We had to ask for our drinks and she gave us one. I was given my drink from the manager who came by to tell us we'd get the food soon. We had a number on the table but we were called to get our food. There was only one plate. We told the person checking us out: Angeles that we had ordered two plates and she said get back in line. This was 25 min after we ordered. We said no and insisted that we needed the second plate. Angeles was so incredibly rude and would ignore when we were trying to explain to her where the disconnect lied. She then started saying it was our fault bc we didn't tell her what we ordered and that we should have known better. This was only the second time I came here and I'm paying for the service and the food. It's not up to me to fix your lack of process and communication. I asked to see the manager and it was the same person who handed me my drink. I explained the situation to him and he said: but you have both plates now, so what's the problem? I told him an error is one thing- being rude to the customer when your team has made a mistake is another. The problem is your lack of service and hospitality to paying customers. I explained how rude this person Angeles was and he basically did not care. The lady Angeles then repeated in Spanish that this was our fault. She wasn't corrected once by this so called manager. Disappointing! The Baja shrimp tacos were soggy and I could tell they had been sitting out. I also got the wrong order and ended up just dealing with it. I regret giving this establishment my money and my tips. This is no better than chipotle: fake Mexican food with AWFUL staff. The only person doing his job with a pleasant smile is the person cleaning the tables. I will never ever come back here again. Please don't work in the hospitality industry if you have a crap attitude.

Yelp
Flavors are weird eclectic menu but nothing like local Mexican or Tex Mex. Lots of warm spices and more heat than you expect. Shrimp had cinnamon flavor. Be ready for some unique flavors.
google avatar

Kai D.

Yelp
Came in before to pick up a postmate order. Now I am back to really see what the hype was about. I ordered the two plate tacos w. Sides. It was very deliciously fulfilling. The crew was nice & laid back. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
Solid tacos with lots of vegetarian options. What more could you ask for? Throw in some tater tots and good times. I'll go back.

Issa M.

Yelp
The food was a delight, I really enjoy the savory flavor of the carnitas. The cashier are so nice and generous, I love the bilingual service.

Noelle W.

Yelp
Flavor! Yes! Not the boring typical flavorless stuff. Had them cater the office So worth it. Thank you!

T J.

Yelp
Chronic Tacos came across between a Chipotle (with way more choices) and a Zoe's ambiance, with plenty of places to sit, and a relaxed vibe. Several on tap beer choices, bottled drinks, tea and Coke products are available. The only thing I wish they had was more availability for salsa (Mor's or Willy's style?), rather than the small cups available.

Yelp
Placed an order for pickup which showed it would be ready at 7:27. I show up to pick up the order and the guy working at the place first asks me if I am sure I placed the order there making me seem stupid in front of the customers he is serving. I go back to my car to get my phone and have a screenshot showing my order was not ordered at this location, but was ready! All the sudden the guy is way nicer and makes the order right away. I will not be back .
