"If you fancy a slap-up meal in southwest Brussels, make a beeline for this fancy brasserie adorned with modern art and boasting a lovely alfresco space at the rear. Brugmann offers an extensive choice of pedigree Gallic dishes at lunchtime and in the evening. Traditional recipes are treated to modern, particularly Asian, interpretations, such as langoustine in a tempura of crunchy walnuts with a sweet and sour bisque sauce." - Michelin Inspector

I recently had a surgery here. There is not one single thing I can complain about. I don’t speak French very well and everyone was still doing their best for me to feel good and explain what is happening. I cannot thank enough to the staff at U22, Radiology staff and my doctor Dr. Georges Salem Wehbe. Amazing people. Made my hospital stay very comfortable. Thanks a lot!!!

I want to sincerely thank the entire team at Hospital Brugmann for the care, compassion, and professionalism they show every day. Being in a psychiatric hospital can be a deeply vulnerable experience, but the staff here—nurses, doctors, therapists, and support workers alike—create an environment that feels safe, structured, and respectful 🙇🏻 What stood out to me the most was how every individual is treated with dignity, no matter their struggles. The staff doesn’t just do their jobs—they genuinely care. From kind words during difficult moments to patiently listening without judgment, their efforts made a real difference in my healing process⚕️ The group sessions, activities, and one-on-one care were incredibly valuable, helping me not only understand myself better but also feel less alone. It was also encouraging to see how respectfully and patiently the staff handled challenges from patients who were having a hard time 🧎‍♂️‍➡️ This isn’t an easy job, and yet they show up every day with patience, strength, and heart. To the entire team: thank you. You helped me find a place to begin again, and I won’t forget that 🙏

The care is very poor, with doctors treating patients in a haphazard manner. Sometimes I get the impression they're deliberately doing this to ignore the problem. From the very beginning, the treatment was poor, with an inappropriate approach to the patient. I give the hospital a poor rating!

Got unfairly treated by some nurses who planned a transit. The first day to the day of transit was horrible. I wasn’t allowed to speak, got verbally and physically attacked because I didn’t know I was going on a transit and asked what was going on. People who plan to go to another hospital as transit, do not go to Brugmann. I truly do not recommend it!

They booked my appointment for a date that was one year in the past, it was the wrong type of appointment, for which I had to call the reschedule for a date in the future. I never got any confirmation email for my appointment, did not know where to show up for my appointment. The info was not open and there was no information which building of the dozens of buildings I should go to find the info/accueil. I also waited eventually at the accueil for 20 minutes while being already late for my appointment despite having arrived early.

The staff are mostly highly skilled and friendly, there will be the odd unhelpful person as is only human. The level of care is excellent. I underwent major surgery and was treated with dedicated care and respect by true professionals. The admin aspect is less convincing probably due to understaffing. But the catering is extremely poor, inefficient and incapable of delivering even what it says on their own menus. Plus a lot of the food is industrial and in no way can it be qualified as healthy. Yes, you will get fresh veggies. But the (plastic-wrapped) sauce will contain additives. And don't even think of having dietary requirements! So bring your own food if you have to stay over...

I went therefor a consultation 10 days after serious leg surgery on April 13th. Arrived alone in an ambulance (single expat mom in Brussels, immobilised in bed after accident). The consutlations secretariat informed the ambulance staff I should be take to x-rays first. After the ambulance staff left and x-rays were taken, I asked the x-ray technician for help to get to the consultations building. She refused to help me saying I should walk to the reception. Refused even after I told her I do not feel safe to walk. Obviously, I fell in the corridor. Was put in a wheelchair and pushed in a waiting room where I was left unattended. I heard the lab technician who had refused to help me say she had told me to wait for someone and I left on my own. I said it was not true. After I was again left alone for a while and called desperately the consultations sercice, the same female lab technician came back and whispered into my ear that I do not only have a leg issue, I also have a problem with my head. She refused repeatedly to give me her name (no name tags on staff). Called the hospital mediator today and he said I should not have gone alone for a checkup and should have brought my own wheelchair if I cannot walk. I said it is the first time I am in such a mobility impared situation and did not know. That perhaps they should have warned me I need my own means of mobility in the hospital. He said supermarkets don't warn customers either that they do not provide wheelchairs. I hang up and here I am, writing this review. I shall try to write a formal letter of complaint to the hospital. Would just like an assurance that they review this incident and take measures so that this never happens to anyone else. And an apology perhaps.

Terrible experience. I would not recommend to anyone. Results not provided within expected timeframe. No follow-up from the personnel, had to raise it to management and weeks later I was finally was told that they got lost/damaged. Had to do the exam another time and ... again no results for many weeks. Called multiple times and no one seems to be able to provide any useful information. Raised it again but no one seemed to care or be interested by the urgency connected to these tests. I went to another hospital and received the results the day after the exam.
