It was my first visit, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was warmly welcomed by a friendly server, which got things off to a great start. Two young staff members were serving the entire dining area, and it was nice to see them working joyfully—smiling and even dancing a bit to the music. They were very attentive, changing the grill plate before we even asked and promptly clearing empty dishes. The food came out quickly after ordering, and they explained each dish as they brought it out, although the loud music made it hard to hear. The food quality was excellent, and the service was flawless—truly a satisfying experience overall. The only downside was the heavy smoke from the grill, which made my eyes sting. It seemed like the grill lacked proper smoke control, unlike some other yakiniku restaurants where the smoke is better managed. Aside from the smoke issue, everything was perfect. Thanks to the two young servers, we had a very enjoyable meal!

1st time being here, best service and food I have tried. Definitely will recommend my friends and family to come here. We sat in the patio and environment is great.

The food isn't bad, and the sushi is up to par. The prices are pretty simple. No fuss! Best of all, you don't have to worry about flagging people down, you just order on the tablet! Their Wagyu Bibimbap (비빔밥) was a little gimmicky, but maybe if I come back, I'll try the original, just to add some veggies to balance out everything else. I DO like the fact that their booths are high, so despite the place being cramped, you do get a bit of privacy at least. Pro-tip: If you order their 비빔밥, make sure that's in the first order, because it'll take a while. If you're thinking of ordering it to top everything off, you'll be waiting for a while. They make it fresh.

After eagerly awaiting a chance to dine at Chubby Cattle in Rosemead, we finally got a Saturday night reservation. The restaurant has a cozy, laid-back atmosphere and wasn’t overly crowded, which made for a pleasant evening. There’s a single menu price of $65.99 per person, with drinks billed separately. We opted for the charcoal fire outdoor dining, and the smoky, charred flavor it imparted on the beef was a highlight—absolutely delicious. The A5 Wagyu beef was a treat, though limited to one piece per customer, which left us wanting more. Compared to other Chubby Cattle locations, the sushi menu here felt a bit restrictive, with only one type of sushi and one dessert available. That said, the quality of the other meats more than made up for it. The short rib was the main show- tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. Every bite was worth the price. Service was fantastic, with attentive and friendly staff who made the experience even better. Our only gripe was the parking—navigating the small lot was a hassle. Overall, it’s a spot we’d recommend and return to, but we’re also curious to check out their Hacienda Heights location for a potentially broader menu. Chubby Cattle Rosemead delivers a solid dining experience that’s well worth the visit.

The beef quality was excellent and the flavor was amazing. we were all very satisfied with the meal. Someone in our group had a birthday, and the staff joined in to celebrate, which made the evening extra fun and memorable.

Glad to have been able to try this place. The meat was top quality and our server was nice. It's been a few days, and I'm still mad about the karaage. I'm saying, don't order it. Otherwise, the sushi was fine and the other diner with me LOVED the Thai chili shrimp. One other downside is they charge $15 for a bottle of soju. Anything more that $4 is price gouging, IMO. But the interior was nice to look at, though a bit cramped.

Chubby Cattle’s wagyu BBQ is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The beef is beautifully marbled and melts in your mouth after just a quick grill. Every cut is fresh and flavorful, and the variety of meats and sides keeps the meal exciting from start to finish. The staff are attentive and make sure the grill is always clean and ingredients are well-stocked. Highly recommend for any BBQ enthusiast.

I want to begin by saying that today is my 29th birthday, and I really didn’t know where to go eat all day, so I decided to go to chubby cattle in Rosemead California! This was the best decision that I could’ve ever made thus far in my life. My beautiful wife has taken me to many Korean barbecue Joints, but this is by far one of the best I’ve ever encounter! The servers were super kind and very polite to us throughout the whole experience. I rate this 100 out of 10 I highly recommend you come here! S/o to our waiter & waitress “ ANDY & EMMA “ :)

Incredible AYCE kbbq with wagyu beef!!!! For those who want to sit out on the patio, they are only open at dinner time. Indoor dining only during lunch. This location didn't have tiers like the others, but honestly it was perfect. Every dish was so flavorful, so fresh. I love that they give you small portions of each order JUST in case you don't like it so you don't waste! Plus, it just means that you can try more things, and since it's AYCE anyways you can always order more if you like something. My favorites were the prime beef tongue and the wagyu ootoro. I think we had like 3 orders of the ootoro. Mind you it is extremely fatty!! Beef tartar was also a hit! I love that they have this pringle chip looking thing as a scoop, adding a nice crunch to each bite! Yes it is definitely pricey here, but with the selections of meat and AYCE style, I think it is a high value meal. Staff was very nice and quick with bringing everything out! Parking is available in the shopping plaza, but if you come at peak lunch time, it might be hard to find parking because it gets very full!

I was faced with one of life's toughest questions. Can I eat $65.99 worth of fatty meat? I wanted a meal no less than comforting, communal and satisfying, but still nothing too stuffy. Turns out this place is in a seedy strip mall in a city with high crime. Nothing stuffy here. Once inside this cramped enclave, you are faced with hyper-attentive servers hovering over your table and grill. But the meat here is not your run-of-the-mill scraps of flank that some K-Town spots serve. Chubby Cattle serves cuts of the real deal Japanese A5 Wagyu. I never ate the sides so that I could pack in as much beef as possible, which, in the end, proved to be a smart decision. If you value value, and you don't care about your LDL score, get to Chubby Cattle and take a few weeks off your life expectancy. Its the impermanence of meat on my plate that raised its flavor to wabi-sabi level...elation and melancholy all at once. You've probably committed a few deadly sins....why not add gluttony to the list. Indulge your cravings, repent and find absolution on your plate. -1star for lack of air conditioning.

The Foods are fresh and delicious. Great lunch menu with all you can eat. Service is great and friendly. Place is well organized. Shall be back again when I'm with friends. Parking a great, shared with other places. Location is located all the way in the back. Security guard on the look out in the parking lot which makes it a little safer. Shall be back again.

Seriously had to dock a star cause the bathroom was filthy and smelled like a public porta potty. You know you're here for the meat, a good time, and hopefully if someone at your table has membership, then also a good deal. You have about 2 min between each order. You can order 6 items at a time (includes beverages as in one soju is 1 item, one coke is 1 item) so you may need to be strategic with how you order. That said items come out pretty quickly- just the ordering time buffer is annoying

This place is better than any KBBQ place I have been to. The quality of every dish including the fish dishes were gold. Beef was all marbalized and delicious. Service was great. They always had my water cup full. Love the interior design as well. I'd definitely come back again.

One of the smaller Chubby Cattle locations with one menu option. Loved that the handrolls were bite sized and not too full of rice. As soon as you are seated they bring out a sample of almost all of their premium meats. Quality here is consistent with other locations. Matcha ice cream at the end. This location is good for more casual meals. Limited parking. Order on the iPad per usual. We enjoyed their canned Chubby Cattle sake! We came for fathers day and they had a free gifts for fathers and we won $10 off our meal!

The meat was so good, I couldn't stop eating! If you like high quality meat and a little ice cream, this is the spot! A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Met up with my work bestie for AYCE WAGYU!! What a feast! Left with our mouths full and belly even fuller!! We cleaned house and then some. They have a set menu and then you order, order, order, and order. Love the A5 choices. The table was full of laughter and good vibes!! Chubby, you did it again :)

I absolutely loved my time here at chubby cattle! The meat was soft and flavorful, and the sushi was fresh and fatty. They have a lot of options for meat and I was excited to try them all even though I didn't know what I was eating half the time haha. I would recommend saving the marinated meat until the very last round since my boyfriend and I were really struggling to fit more food in our belly since it was more heavy. I wish they had more veggies though and steamed egg as an option, but since the focus is the meat I can't complain! My boyfriend and I made a reservation just an hour before for 6:30pm, and when we got there it was busy but no one was waiting outside for a table. There were two servers running around the entire restaurant so although service was a bit slow, it was completely fine since I could tell they were trying their best to serve everyone. Would definitely recommend trying this place!

My first time here and I was really impressed to say the least. The meat was fresh, portions were just right and the selection was great. I love the small setting and the waiters were attentive! The iPad ordering system was easy and very convenient. I highly recommend when you come to the area!

Honestly a great experience! I went here because my friend was visiting. We made reservations for 6:30 pm and our table was ready at 6:25. They have ample parking here so it shouldn't be that hard to find a spot. They start us out with a play of different cuts of wagyu. You can order 6 things at a time and you can only order every 2 mins. I honestly really enjoyed their sushi items as the quality was really good and had a lot of flavor. My favorite seafood was definitely the salmon carpaccio. As for the meats, I didn't know the cubed ones had seasoning but it was still good! My favorite was the beef tongue as it had a great chew and a good amount of fate surrounding the meat to have a great texture and flavor profile. The lemon and wasabi were great touches! Honestly, I really enjoyed how they had tomatoes with sugar as I used it as a palate cleanser. I truly recommend this place as the service was really great! PS. Ice cream is SOOOO cute and the ube is the perfect way to end the dinner.

Wow I found a top favorite for kbbq. This place is pretty small. Seating is limited and parking can get tough. My friend and I went during lunch so we did not have to wait much. We got the lunch special and it was worth every penny! The meats were so good, and flavorful. You order everything on an iPad They do have a time limit and I felt like if they didn't I would keep eating. Service was great! The lady helping us was super kind. I think they expect you to keep track of time yourself because once our time was up we couldn't order anymore.

The meat is good quality and it's easy to order from the iPad! It is quite small however, so the menu isn't as extensive as the other locations, regardless it's still good :))

$65 for kbbq? I was ready to be a hater, but it was definitely worth it. If you're familiar with chubby cattle and their menu, you probably think of the different tiers. The Rosemead location has one menu so know before you come ! This location had no wait, and the staff quickly seated us, explained the menu, and had our first plate of meat out within minutes. Every plate of meat we ordered was so quick to come out which is great since they have a 90 min limit. They start you off with a platter in the shape of a cow and different cuts so you can try the different cuts. All the meat was so good, there wasn't a single miss. It's very rich and fatty beef so you will feel it after eating. Thankfully, once you're done with the food they give you a tiny pint of ice cream to finish off with a sweet treat. :) I recommend trying at least once to experience higher quality meat!

One of my favorite KBBQ places! It's a little bit more expensive but it's so worth it. The meats are top tier and service is always immaculate. Definitely would come back! Make sure you arrive early because it can get busy

Stopped by on Friday, 03/21/25 for the very first time. I have heard of this hyped-up place before and now is the time for my to try it out with my special person on a very special dinner date! I recommend submitting a reservation via Yelp prior to arrival. I also called in advance to confirm my reservation and asked if they do anything special for birthdays (they said no). Upon arrival, we were told that they do sing happy birthday following a complimentary ice cream cup (we opted in for 2 matchas - sooo good!) This location only has 1 tier (Supreme tier which was $65.99 per person). Each table only has a 90-minute limit - so eat away! - 2 Supremes = $65.99 per person - 1 chubby sake = $9.99 - 1 sapporo = $4.99 SUBTOTAL = $146.96 TAX = $14.01 TOTAL = $160.97 **Paid by my special person** :) 4/5 stars due to parking difficulties - couldn't find parking at first until my special person got a space for me. :')

In my opinion the best thing about thing about this place is 100% the service. The hostess/waitress who attended me yesterday was spectacular. In addition we absolutely adored how fast our meat came. It literally was the speed of light. The meat here is very good but I wish they offered more banchan like rice paper or cucumber kimchi. There aren't that many side dishes to choose from as compared to other establishments but their takoyaki, shrimp tempura, and rice was very good and I loved that they offered lettuce to wrap the meat in which many other places don't do. Overall very good just very expensive.

The server was kind and attentive. I came here with my father, and he is picky about his food. We came for the lunch special, which was around $45. It is cheaper than dinner, which is about $65. Overall, I enjoyed the meat selection. They had.

I've bookmarked Chubby Cattle for a while and glad I finally got to try it. Turns out this location is smaller and also the menu is limited compared to other locations. I was able to make a reservation on Yelp. If you have 4+ guests, you just need to put on the comment the total number of people since the dropdown option only goes up to 4. This restaurant configuration only seats up to 4 guests per party inside, so it is great if your group is small. At first I was worried they set our group of 6 outside since it was a cold night. However it ended up being perfect because there were plenty of heat lamps and we didn't smell like meat (as much) at the end of the night. Service was friendly and I was glad the workers spoke Cantonese. The A5 Miyazaki plate in a cow shape was great! We also ordered more of the brisket and the Ootoro. For sides we enjoyed Bibimbap rice, Wagyu rice, corn cheese, and salmon sushi. I really have to give an extra star for the service here. It was a busy Friday night and service was friendly and fast from beginning to end. They even moved our table when our neighboring guests' cooking smoke was flying into our faces. Ordering was easy with the ipad. My friend had informed the worker we were celebrating my birthday and they came out with a big sign, paper crown, and a candle on top of our ice cream cups. We just wanted some delicious bbq and good time with friends, Chubby Cattle Rosemead delivered everything and more. Thank you and we will be back!

I checked out Chubby Cattle in Rosemead Location for the first time. This location is smaller than their other spots, but they make up for it with efficient service. I went for lunch on a Saturday at around 1 PM and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't busy. They only have one tier at this location priced at $69.99. I really enjoyed the meal--my favorites were the ootoro belly, brisket, and especially the beef tongue. They serve plenty of side dishes like takoyaki, poke bowls, sushi, tartare, and more. I also appreciated being able to ask for the raw egg sauce for dipping, which really elevated the flavors. I ended up in a meat coma for the rest of the day, but I'll definitely be back at any of their locations.

I believe Rosemead location has the menu different from most of other Chubby Cattle locations whereas there is only one menu for all, no tiers. $65.99 for non-member and $60.99 for members, you can register for membership the same day of dining. Rosemead location also does not limit you on the meat order besides the special Miyazakigyu plate (1 per table). Meat quality is top notch, fresh, soft, almost melt inside your mouth. Our favs were A5 Otouro, Tongue and Chuck roll. Service was amazing, very responsive in response to our requests. The store is relatively, it doesnt have sauce, drinks or salad/rice bar, but you can order those off the menu and they will bring to your table, so we didn't feel like we were missing out on anythjng. Recommend make reservation in advance if you want to dine in right away. For waitlist, it usually takes 1-2 hour if you joined after 6PM.

The wagyu options at Chubby Cattle are always on point. They start off giving you the "A5 Miyazaki's Secret" which is a cow-shaped board with various cuts of meat. From there, we literally ordered almost every cut of Wagyu. A few personal favorites are the A5 Wagyu Brisket, A5 Wagyu Ootoro and the A5 Wagyu Chubby Signature. Other than the meats, we got kimchi, corn cheese, salmon carpaccio and the truffle fries. Needless to say, we were stuffed. The restaurant isn't very large, but has the Chubby brand written all over it, clean, modern and trendy. There are a good amount of booths inside. This location only has one menu (compared to the Rowland Heights location has multiple menu levels). Service was super quick. You order your selections off a tablet and we didn't have to wait too long in between rounds. One thing I will note is this restaurant does have high chairs (we brought our 8-month old), however, no changing table in the bathroom, so keep that in mind if that's a deal breaker.

Rude employees! TIPPING SCAM! Service was terrible. They were rude to my friend. The food was OK, but we would never return! We've always gone to the one in LA, and the employees are all nicer and give off the impression that they enjoy working there. In Rosemead, things are completely opposite. Furthermore, when we paid, we were not given the option of tip percentage. Unlike in Los Angeles, they show you their tablet and let you choose which tipping percentage to use. They chose their own tip, and we paid $85 for the service fee; we also noticed an additional order or amount on our receipt. We arrived in a large group. They think we won't notice!

Food and service is on point. The Argentinian Shrimp was my favorite thing to eat after a good eating of beef. The mango ice cream is always a good treat after eating all the oily foods. Not to mention the server Emma showed exemplary service. Ask for her and you will have a good experience eating at this place. Thanks!

Top notch AYCE with super high quality Wagyu meats and side options that doesn't completely break the bank. I was pretty blown away with eating dinner at chubby cattle. The majority of the meats and side dishes just melted in my mouth. The beef tongue, chubby cattle and short ribs were my favorite bites of the night. It was so tender!! My least favorites were the skirt steak because it was way too chewy and the Wagyu cubes because it was pretty spicy. Honorable mentions go to the Argentinian shrimp which are HUGE and the squid. The squid honestly had no flavor but texture wise was the softest squid I've ever had. The sides are great! My favorites are the salmon carpaccio, sesame tofu and miso soup. The salmon literally was like butter, the sesame tofu had a great depth in flavor and the miso has a super complex flavor profile, not your ordinary miso. I would say skip the truffle fries because there was no truffle and it was all very mid fries. The sauce game here is another level, they have a yuzu sauce that is unlike anything I've ever had and a yakiniku sauce that is fruity and sorta like barbecue sauce. So why the 4 stars and not 5? Honestly the dining experience really dampened my experience. I made a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes after my reservation time. The restaurant was super Smokey and small so it felt super cramped. But the kicker for me was that they were so behind on bringing out the food that the majority of the food came 20-30 minutes late closer to the end of our 90 minutes max period and the staff was rushing us to finish eating even though we had just gotten a large portion of items. Although these occurrences were disappointing it wouldn't deter me from coming back -- it's more so that coming here to eat isn't easy and casual, a lot of effort goes into it. They only have 1 uni-sex bathroom at this location. Parking on the other hand was super easy! Overall Chubby Cattle offers great food. I would say 85% of the items are amazing. I wouldn't come back often and it's not taking my favorite BBQ spot, but it's great enough to be added to my BBQ rotation and for recs list.

Food's great and service is attentive! There's a time limit so get all the meats you can. I like the variety of other side dishes they had. I liked the octopus dumplings and kimchi to go with my meats.

First time here, I haven't been to any of the chubby cattle places and since we were on a time crunch, this is the closest to us. At first, parking was a bit difficult, we got to the lot right before noon and the parking lot was pretty packed. The restaurant just opened but was still getting ready. I reserved a table for noon on Yelp and saw that my name was on their iPad list! We were seated at a corner table, the place is smaller than I thought. We ordered the lunch menu and had the choice to also order dinner but for just two of us eating lunch is a better option. We were given an iPad to order everything, it was pretty easy but the A5 brisket is limited to one per person for lunch so the server helped send that in first while we took our time ordering. We can order up to 6 items every two minutes, you can see what items are sold out or unavailable right away. We ordered a ton of meat! Lunch had plenty of great choices but our favorite was the short rib, knuckle, and top blade. I didn't like cooking the cubes, the onions kept getting burnt and stuck in the grill. The finger meat was too chewy. The tongue was good but not fatty enough for me to enjoy. For the others, we enjoyed the salmon carpaccio, shrimp tempura, and Wagyu bibimbap. I also got the seaweed salad and miso soup which were also good. Overall, great place for a kbbq lunch. Unfortunately we came after Xmas holiday therefore they ran out of dessert! Not their fault but was very sad and disappointed. It's my first time and I still gave it 5 stars! However, because we went to look at chubby cattle at Rowland heights and the differences when comparing the two places are TOO MUCH!! Hopefully Rosemead one will change to be the same but given the space I don't think so.

3 stars for the ambiance being small really crowded inside they did ask if we wanted to be seated outside after the fact we sat down had already been grilling for 20mins who does that? The food was still pretty good not much to order from like the one out here up north but overall food was good. I get working at places like this can be overwhelming but tell the servers they need to work on their attitude everyone was rude and felt like they didn't want to be there.

What a great way to usher in 2025 with a dinner at Chubby Cattle. I actually felt like a Chubby Cattle when I left this place. The 90-minute limit went by super fast. All their meats and seafood tasted very fresh and their sides menu had some good selections like the sushi, the tofu, the miso soup, and the super sour kim chi. There was a disruption of service midway through our meal due to a kitchen order back-up and we kind of just sat there for a little bit and actually had to talk to each other rather than stuff our faces. Pricing is premium also, so expect about $90 per person with tax and tip. At that price, I really need to weigh if going to other AYCE makes more sense. Indoor and outdoor. seating offered. Parking is easy in the lot.

Food was great!! Waiters are attentive and provide super fast service! Loved the fact they offer sushi. Salad was delicious! We tried most of the beef, salad, sushi hand rolls. The carpaccio (beef salmon) were delicious.
