Best Boozy Milkshakes and Ice Cream in NC | Eater Carolinas

"This restaurant by famed chef Ashley Christensen flips fun burgers like the Day Tripper with griddled mushrooms and onions, mozzarella and comeback sauce, and the Green Jacket with poblano pimento cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Boozy shake to try: the Rum Punch with spiced rum." - Katie Toussaint

Google
Chucks is great sit in or take-out burger bar that makes their own 100% beef burger patties, special sauce and custom designed potato bun that give this burger a healthy fresh vibe. The onion rings were super crispy and great too as a side. The burgers start at $20 (with two patties) with sides extra. I was tempted to try the cheese cake milkshake but will save it for another visit.

Google
We got the strawberry milkshake, and it was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the price! The burger with a drink and fries was also a great deal; it was a lot of food for the price, and everything was very fresh. The only downside is that the place is a bit small and gets busy, so I hope they can expand in the future.

Google
I have just tried the best chicken sandwich, actually the best food I have ever had. It had me dancing at my table. Nothing would make me dislike this place. It is easily the best chicken on the planet and no one else even rivals it. If u are at blue mountain go to Chuck Burger. I didn't even get a photo cause it was gone in a minute. The dries are also peak. It is all peak.

Best place to visit with friends and family 😃, chicken burgers are so yummy 😋. Best hospitality and fresh food.

Google
Just okay, very hot summer and drinks are just average cold and only served in cans.. no ice cups. Burger was really good, but the size of a mcdouble and paid $25 for the combo. Felt aggressive for not getting a big or decent size burger. 3 bites and it was gone pretty much.

Google
You would think the only great thing to eat here was just the burgers. Not true... Try the milk shakes.. We had the The Unicorn and The Strawberry Cheesecake milkshakes. Wow... Sooo good and hits the spot for a late evening snack!

Google
The burgers are juicy and flavorful, the sides are crispy and delicious (don’t miss the sweet potato fries), and the service is friendly and fast. The vibe is cool and casual — perfect for a laid-back meal. Highly recommended!

Google
Burgers are pretty good, patties are small but good quality and tasty! The double cheeseburger was a good size to fill me up with the fries. I would give the burger a solid 4, the issue is the crinkle cut fries that are not fresh! They give you a decent amount of fries but when you get a fresh made burger you expect fresh fries. Just my preference and the fries were good just would have preferred fresh.

Yelp
Small burger restaurant with nice bar height table tops with stool seating. athe burgers made to order. $3 to upgrade to combo with canned pop and fries. Friendly service from kitchen staff who are Filipino and can speak Tagalog.

Yelp
This place was average. I got the veggie beyond meat burger and it was nice! The crinkle cut fries were the best part of the meal. The place was empty on a Friday which was a bit odd but overall I'd say food was average. A bit overpriced but I guess thats also expected from blue mountain area.

Yelp
The burgers were fresh and hot everyday and my kids literally loved the burgers, which was amazing since the kids are picky and just wanted to stay on the slopes. The service was great very friendly!! So glad they have this in the village!!

Yelp
My experience with food at Blue Mountains has been pretty poor - apart from Beaver Tails - and unfortunately my experience at Chuck Burger carried on that tradition. I totally get and accept the inflated prices I'll expect in the village - but I don't also feel I need to accept mediocre (or worse) food. The staff on the phone was great, and when I came for pickup they were also nice, so they get credit for that. But I can't say I didn't have big disappointment when I took my burger out of the bag. I forgot the name, but it was the guacamole burger. With fries and a drink it was $16. With a name like 'chuck', I expected fresh, quality beef; rather, it was definitely a pre-fab frozen patty. I also ordered 'no cheese' after finding out they used processed cheese. Saying "American" cheese doesn't make it any less processed. The fries - we had both regular and waffle - were okay, but also clearly from frozen. My kids chicken nuggets were pretty good however as was my wife's chicken burger (or at least the patty). Maybe that could've been enough to push this to a 3 star review had it not been for the clearly rotten lettuce on my wife's chicken burger. Not just wilted, but several large black spots. Chuck Burger, and pretty much every other restaurant at Blue Mountain: do better.

Yelp
Burgers were upscale fresh and hot. Limited seating available and food was served pretty fast. Not a fan of waffle fries as they were not crispy. Onion rings really ringed a bell . A small dining place or a hidden gem at blue mountains for a busy day while other restaurants have a waiting time of 45-60 mins. Will definitely visit again

Yelp
Chuck Burger is a delicious gourmet burger restaurant located in the heart of Blue Mountain Village. We enjoyed two tasty burgers, one being the Norris, a 12 oz of organic beef (4 X 3 oz patties) burger, double cheese, onion rings, double bacon, onion, pickle, lettuce, chuck sauce. A monster of a hamburger. One of the tastiest burgers I have enjoyed in the longest time. Out of the dozen restaurants located in the Village, we choose Chuck Burger and were not disappointed. Although seating is a bit tight, there is enough room for several families. Serving local beer, and soda's - the drink selection was minimal although covered all of the basis. The children's menu was over priced, although the portions fair. My two companions enjoyed chicken fingers and the Bacon Chuck Burger, proclaiming "the best burger ever".

Yelp
I liked how small and intimate this eatery is. A mix of brick, wood, and industrial decor. Few high tables, and stools. Staff is young, friendly, and the food was yummy!

Yelp
Burgers were very tasty and for the price they should be bigger. I would recommend if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with family on a weekend. We were a party of 5 & each one of us ordered a combo meal. This place is way too overpriced for its food quality. For a combo of 4 meals & 1 kuds meal our bill came to $90. I would've paid half the price for the disgustingly oily burgers we had here. We were also not given a juice with the kids meal so I asked the cashier for it & he accused me of throwing the box away & asking for an extra one. Disgusted by the attitude for a $2 juice. Will never go back.

Mike Y.

Yelp
Ordered at 13:31 pm, food came at 13:59. We even asked the chef when is the food ready, we got a reply of "3 minutes". Yeah... more like 30mins. Messed up customers order, those ordering number was just a joke. Waited 30mins for a burned meat patty burger and a greasy onion ring. This place makes me miss McDonald's, Wendy, A&W.

Yelp
Very good burger but very small. I bought the one with curd cheese and gravy and they forgot to put those on it. I asked for it and they gave me separate.

Owen R.

Yelp
They have the door wide open and it's freezing I didn't even order cause I couldn't sit down an eat my food
google avatar

Yelp
3 stars for grass fed 0 stars for value (even for village), service, menu options. Kids meal is about $12. You are much better off ordering the cheeseburger at O&B in the Westin. $5 more and 4 stars better.

Yelp
Horrendous place and food!!!! $15 crap flat grill burger...! Very dirty And even play black music very loud! Families definitely stay away from this place!! Very sad to have some so poor customer service and place like this at BM!!

Juia H.

Yelp
Do not eat here..I found a bread bag clip in my burger while I was chewing. When notified, staff did not seem to care..just offer to make another burger. I was absolutely disgusted!!
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
The meat patty was held together by two dry pieces of buns and soggy lettuce. I know this is a tourist billage, but please at least try to make something that I regret paying $10 for after the first bite.

Yelp
While in Canada my husband and I had the pleasure of eating here. The portions are reasonable (burger and fries portions). The burgers aren't as big as Five Guys, but just as tasty. So after a day of skiing this meal hit the spot. There was only two employees, which made the service a little slow. Overall it was worth the wait. The tables are limited, but it encourages customers not to stay forever. My husband and I had to sit at a four person table. It would be nice to invite others to your table if you have space. There are gluten free and healthy options. I suggest you give it a try if you're in the area!

Yelp
Not up to par at all. The place is full of flies everywhere, had to sit outside under the hot sun. I ordered a kids burger and came out way too salty. Took it back to the kitchen and got another replacement, guess what it was raw. Not recommended for kids.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this for lunch today and were very pleased. I got a double 'classic' burger and she got a single. It was simple and straight forward, but a very tasty burger nonetheless. They have a focus on organic, humanely raised meat, so you feel less guilty about indulging. Recommended!

Yelp
The burgers tasted great. They maybe could have used a dash of seasoning, even what they use for the fries would have been fine, but the taste is fresh. Had the one with bacon and pulled pork. Delish. The fries are good but not great. McCain shoestrings with a nice dash of seasoning. Granted I'll take that over undercooked, thick fries any day of the week. Very small location but it offers a few tables outside, perfect for nice afternoons and people watching. Would return.

Yelp
Very unimpressed. The burgers were not very good, tasted like fast food burgers. Small amounts of toppings were given, and the tomato was underripe. They also got the order wrong and forgot to remove cheese when requested. Fries were nothing special. Burgers were $10+ each not worth it.

Emma P.

Yelp
The tables in this place were not clean and the person taking our order was not wearing a mask and when we left they were laughing at us there were no plexiglass
google avatar

Adil L.

Yelp
Good burgers (fresh meat, griddle style - similar to a 5 Guys or Shake Shack), generic frozen fries, and incredibly overpriced. The cheapest kids meal and two cheeseburgers (no sides or drinks) came to $34. Note to self: don't stay in the village next time.
google avatar

Mirko K.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this place as they offer gluten free buns and the meat is organic. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The burgers me and my wife ordered were mediocre at best. The quantity of beef was small and the buns were actually "cool" temperature wise. I understand they need to be kept fresh but at the end of the day no one wants a cool bun with a warm burger. The service was fine but overall a so so experience.
google avatar

Lara A.

Yelp
I had no complaints with their burgers. It is overpriced so that's why I took away a star but taste wise it was good and filling. Maybe a lot of people are expecting bigger portions for the price especially coming from the city.
google avatar

Yelp
Is of fast food quality! Although the signs in the window state the burgers are from all natural and hormone free cows, the burgers are the taste, texture and quality of what you would expect from an amusement park hamburger stand. Great in a pinch of you need a quick bite to go. They appear to be frozen and not fresh. Another issue was the water situation. They do not offer water cups nor water. If you do want water, you will need to pay for bottles of water. This didn't seem fair since the staff have access to natural running water, but not guests. Overall, perhaps good for the kids who may need a bite to eat in a rush, but not what you would expect from an organic or hormone free beef experience.

Jack J.

Yelp
Pemeal burger was quite tasty and satisfying. The patty wasn't overly greasy nor was the bread soggy. It had just the right amount of flavour to it. The service was surprisingly good for a burger joint - friendly staff. It's a bit pricey, but otherwise one of the better burgers at Blue.
google avatar

Teresa R.

Yelp
We had their classic burgers - most boring and bland tasting burger I've ever had. A&W's burgers are far superior than theirs.

Domenic P.

Yelp
Tried the burger here... Would have been ok with the limited choice of toppings. However, biting into red raw burger was too much even for me. Not recommended and will not give this establishment another visit even though we are regular visitors to Blue Mountain.

Lorita R.

Yelp
I had a diarrhea after eating their bacon cheeseburger. Not a good memory for my vacation.
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
Had dinner here for the second time. Consistent quality, fair prices and great burgers!
google avatar

Joel S.

Yelp
Overpriced resort food not worth 18$ even for the high end burger. The actual chucks gives you more food and higher end ingredients for a cheaper

Jeff R.

Yelp
Similar to Burgers Priest in Toronto, the Beef is juicy and flavourful. You can tell its fresh and when I was there you could see a girl hand forming the beff pattys. Place is the Real McCoyZ

Sheri W.

Yelp
We went there last Friday night. Fries were fabulous, but the burgers were bland. Service was nothing exceptional. With no other customers in the place, takeout was over 20 min for the four of us.
