In New ‘Simpsons’ Episode, Marge Becomes the Face of a Ghost Kitchen Union | Eater

"Used as an example of how ghost kitchens can mislead customers, this well‑known family pizza-and-arcade chain is portrayed as being passed off as a local pizzeria to unsuspecting diners; the mention underscores how such practices erode trust, degrade the quality of food and service, and obscure the exploitation of the workforce behind the deliveries." - Jaya Saxena

I visit this location often, and over the past few months I’ve noticed a lot of changes with managers and employees coming and going. I can tell the team is trying to improve the store, but the equipment isn’t being maintained or monitored as much as it should be. A better system is definitely needed when it comes to how kids use the equipment. Many kids are running around unsupervised and some are damaging the games or play areas. It’s frustrating because I have to constantly pull my toddler back due to older kids who aren’t behaving. I’m not sure what the exact rules are, but I really think there should be stronger expectations for parents to supervise their children instead of sitting on their phones. I truly hope this location can figure out a better approach soon, because I love bringing my child here and want to see it continue to improve.

Found this phone on 20 July 2025 at 8 pm. Submitted to customer service. Enter your password and show your photo from gallery from this phone and claim it. Customer service is good. At times it gets super busy. There was just 1 staff when I went there around 7.45 pm. Party place is huge. Chuck e mouse did show up regularly and interacting with kids. Lots of free parking . Public washroom. Gaming stations are little less compared to other locations, but lots of stuff for toddlers.

First time at this location. First let me start off by saying this is a VERY small Chuck E. Cheese compared to the many others, it was the first thing I noticed. I was greeted by a Kind employee I wish I had gotten his name before his shift ended but he rode a bike. So if that was you, YOURE AWESOME! THE STARS I LEFT WERE FOR YOU!! Anyway the salad bar was disgusting as I walked by, the soft drink area was filled with used tops and straws and wet paper towels. The pizza I ordered was incorrect they gave me stuffed cheese crust but my kids didn’t mind so I kept it, still not what was ordered though. THE BONELESS HOT HONEY CHICKEN WAS GREAT that kind employee suggested those and they were a win. I CANT BELIEVE ONCE THAT KIND EMPLOYEE CLOCKED OUT THEY HAD NO ONE BY THE DOOR!!! Please keep your children close to you that blew me and I will NOT be returning!

Google
we didn't order food so I can't rate it but my Nephew had a blast we were there for almost 5 hours and he never stopped playing except for an ice-cream.

Google
Pretty good experience. A bit pricey, but they do have monthly plans now that offer games, discounts, tickets, and more. A little tip...go online the day before and check the coupons for the best value. The pizza was decent. Salad bar was good but not what it used to be.

I visited Chuck E. Cheese on August 4, 2022, with my little cousin—pictured here—and it turned out to be one of the most joyful, unforgettable days we’ve ever shared. From the games to the laughter, everything about that visit was memorable. Although last year would be her last birthday celebration here, the happiness she felt that day continues to bring comfort to my heart. Laura passed away just a week later due to a severe peanut allergy, but the memories we created at Chuck E. Cheese will forever be cherished. Thank you for giving us a place where smiles came easily and joy filled the air. Her spirit lives on through moments like these.

Google
Chuck E. Cheese has changed since I went there 30 odd years ago when my parents had my birthday party there! The pizza is still a thin crust pie with the addition of garlic butter to the crust. It's actually quite tasty. The atmosphere is more in tune with an arcade and the kids had a blast. All the games are run by a card with electronic tokens. Really convenient for the kids. Chuck E. Cheese is great entertainment for the kids. The facility was clean and the servers were attentive.

I have been coming to this Chuck E. Cheese since 2007. I have had all of my children birthday parties here even with my oldest child being 18 and my youngest child being five. I have just had his birthday there not a party, but we did go up there to celebrate and I just want to say that Sadie was the best worker that I have had in the 18 years I have been coming to this location. Love Care attentiveness knowledge that she has shown in your business leaves me to believe that she should be a manager or in fact a lead. I have held many jobs. I have been a leader of Many teams and she is a leader. A Worker like this you should cherish and not lose because I have never had anyone attend to me and my family. The way Sadie has done on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Thank you so much Sadie for everything you have done and I am so sorry I don’t recall the young girl with the braids that attended the salad bar but thank you so much for For your services as well. Sadie, I hope to see you again this time as a team lead or a manager you deserve it.

Yelp
How does a place like this does not offer water cups nor have a water fountain... -every other Chuck E. Cheese I have ever been to offer such !

Yelp
Very clean! The food is pretty good and it is always a good time at Chuck E Cheese! I went at a time during the day that was not too busy and that was great! They have games, prizes, treats, desserts, refillable fountain drink area and beer/wine available.

Yelp
Went for a birthday party. The pizza was actually pretty decent. Relatively speaking. I would still prefer many others but it was better then I expected. The place wasn't the cleanest but I understand given there are 50-100 kids running around. We went in a Saturday evening so it was a little hectic. They did seem understaffed but I'm not sure. After we walked in it was kinda a free for all. My biggest issue for the star reduction is some games didn't work. They took the payment and then didn't allow the child to play. If they have the unlimited okay for xx time pass then that's not a big deal, but if you lay over game the kiddos are losing turns and there really isn't anyone nearby to assist. From what I observed was kids would try once or twice then move on without letting anyone know. It made me think (unintentional of course) petty theft against children. That bothered me enough to write this review. If that was corrected, I would probably have given 3 stars. TL;Dr if the machines weren't taking money from kids and not giving them a turn to play, it would have been 3 stars.

Yelp
Not a lot of good reviews or recent reviews here. I took my little one in June on a Monday afternoon. It was a decent amount of kids but not too crowded. We were worried games might be too baby-ish for a 5 year old because we go to ZapZone a lot, but it's exactly for that age group. 3-8 maybe. There was maybe two machines that didn't work. The little car that takes the kid picture stopped working and someone fixed it immediately. Pizza is pricey and small to be considered a "large" and it tasted okay but lacked in sauce. No complaints on the cleanliness, only thing is a kid left a slice of pizza on a ride machine but that isn't really anyones fault, it's kids all over. The prizes kind of suck compared to the ones at zap zone but maybe because it's for smaller children. Overall would return just probably skip the pizza.

Yelp
We were not treated well. My sister in law bought the mega package, the table was not set up when we got there. The food took well over an hour to get. We got our play cards 40 minutes late and they where active and we lost that time. My niece bought chicken wings she got them an hour later just for them to be raw, she asked for ones just to to be told that the cook would not remake them because they were right. Yes because bleeding chicken wings are made right. Some games where broke. No one was on guard at the front. No party hats for us even though the other party's had them. Seen our party host 3 times. The party girl didn't get her life time cup and her tote. None of the kids got the 250 e ticket bonus. Didn't get out goody bags for he kids. Party girl didn't get her bonus 2000 tickets. The adults playing games are fine I know we did, but the adults getting in the tiny rides for little kids was disturbing. Salad bar was never refilled, so much for unlimited salad. No toilet paper and the doors were broke and didn't lock.

Lisa G.

Yelp
An order of cheesy bread and fries took 45 minutes. I think they forgot about us because people who ordered after us got their pizzas before us. The games are inexpensive which is nice. My 4 year old loves it here.

Yelp
i just recently had my boys birthday party here. Marissa was my party host. she was AMAZING literally. kept a smile, was on top of everything i asked. she was so kind and i loved the way she brought energy to our party and interacted with the kids and adults. the kids loved her and she truly made my birthday boy feel special. she was a little all over the place but as soon as she noticed i needed help she ran to me. she was sure to thoroughly explain how the partys gonna run including times and rules. my sons said they wish they could come hang out with her again. i 100% will have a party here again and i will 1000% request Ms.Marissa as my hostess. much love.

Yelp
Dirty and stinks. I watched the cook eating pizza WHILE SHE WAS COOKING and didn't even try to hide it. They don't give you utensils to eat with and when you ask they tell you to ask someone else for them. They don't cut the breadsticks into sticks so it's just a 1/2 pizza crust with cheese on it and good luck finding a way to cut it because everybody disappears. My kids love Chuck E. Cheese but we will be looking for a new place to take them.

Yelp
1 star removed as the hand sanitizer dispenser were empty. A lot of toddler games a plus.

Yelp
Update: 2019 and still subpar. I guess you have to ask for sauce on your pizza, otherwise, you won't get any. Merry go round is broken from large kids getting on it. One guy was running three things at once, great job from him but bad staffing on management part. Salad bar is (not really) worth the price. I discreetly told the manager that the pineapple pieces were bad (sour and clearly out of date) but in 30 minutes they still have not been changed. Carpets are dirty, although the bathroom was actually clean! Games are outdated. Soda was flat. My kids are having a good time, though, they don't notice the little things. Benefits: 98% of games are only 1 credit, so even with minimal credits you can have a good time. For kids who like to set cards down, they have wristbands now so no worries there. You can even pause your time on time-paid cards so if you need a bathroom, food, or rest break, you don't have to warn your kids to play through it. Menu now includes chicken nuggets and easier choices for picky kids. And hey, even if the whole experience kills you, there's alcohol!

Yelp
RUDE RUDE RUDE cashier (manager?) Typically the management at this restaurant is amazing. Just not today Wednesday, December 29 at approximately 1:45 PM. I would consider never coming back to this restaurant because of her rudeness

Yelp
I HATE CHUCK E CHEESE but the kids LOVE it. Too bad that I'm the one who gets to write the review. Pizza is WAAAAYYYYY over priced but since Ceasarland is now out of business I guess the higher prices kept them going. The service was pretty good. I don't have any complaints about the staff and they were all eager to help us with ordering choices, messed up machines, and clearing away our mess. One of the managers even came by to make sure everything was good and that we were enjoying ourselves. It is unbearably loud there but that is the nature of the place. I tried to book a party but they only allow birthday parties on the weekend and I wanted an organization party. Birthdays are double the price. The kids will have a blast but pack some tylenol for your headache.

Yelp
We were there on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 and had a great time. Food came out fast and they just have done something different to their pizza recipe because it actually tasted good. I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name, but a young man in his late 20s early 30s, around 5'6"-5'8", with dark hair working behind ticket rewards counter showed my 3 year old son a wonderful kindness and that kindness will be the reason we won't hesitate to return.

Yelp
The manager is amazing, he is helpful with each customer and goes above and beyond every time. The staff needs some work but hey they're kids. The manager is a reason I came back and I hope that every customer appreciates his hard work. Pizza isnt bad and the games all work, I see an employee checking games constantly. He even leaves 1 or 2 tickets for little kids to get. I'll be bringing my kids back for sure.

Yelp
We have not been here in a while. We just played and had drinks. The place has been redone. Smells fresher, more open concept. Lots of the dividers are gone as well as the playscape. No more tokens, everything is on a card. That was a challenge for our 4 year old. She called the card stupid a few times!. Signs posted stating that the have gonr Greener. Tickets look to be of recycled material.

Yelp
Today of all places I found myself headed to Southgate, MI which is about 40 miles outside of my home zone. My Great Nephew turned 8 years old today and his parents were having a birthday bash at Chuck E. Cheese. Its not everyday that a Proud Uncle gets to be a Great Uncle and gets to celebrate a Great Nephew's B-day especially for a Great Nephew I have not seen in over 3yrs. Thankfully I had my TomTom all charged and a half tank of gas ready to waste to drive to Southgate. I have not purposely been to any Chuck E Cheese in literally over a dozen years. I do remember the premise however - dozens to hundreds of screaming kids climbing in and out of indoor playground crap with dozens of whizzing beeping blaring electronic gadgets and video games, copious amounts of thin cardboard greasy pizza, and annoying animatronic figures who sing and cavort. Funny when I was a teenager it did not seem so innocuous. Our group arrived about an hour late. But we were able to see the rest of the family and I was happy to take over 50 photos of my Great Nephew in all his CEC glory. He had already amassed a treasure trove of tickets to turn in for about $5 worth of plastic garbage. But To be a Kid again! The cake was not from CEC. One of the Aunties made it... However the pizza... well if you can even call it pizza... it was half cheese and half pepperoni & cheese. Sauce was mostly and essence it seemed. the pizza was thick and chewy. Not quite the cardboard I recall from childhood but it was still nasty as I remember. I believe the pizza we had must of had extra grease on it. I used 18 napkins to soak up the oil from the 1 slice I attempted to eat. Even after soaking up the oil, the slice still was greasy. All I could taste was Salt. I did not even finish the slice. I folded it up in one of the unused napkins and left it under a plate where it became the starter pile for all the trash and garbage for our table. At least it could serve a purpose. The beverage choices for adults was either Coca-Cola or Water. I have sworn off Pop since Jan 31st so I stuck with Water. I do not know where they got their water from but I believe it smelled like it had been filtered through the Toilet from the Mens room. I did not even bother attempting to take a sip, I couldn't even force myself to take a sip. The abysmal rating is for the disgusting attempt at food and beverages they offered. It's also for the disgusting People who I saw in the bathroom let their kids roll around on the floor and climb under Stalls. I was so happy I had gone to the bathroom before I came. I can only imagine the staph & e.coli germs that passed from the kids from the bathroom to the inside playground & arcade games. When I was able to make it back to the car I must of used over 1/2 a tube of hand sanitizer. Even that was not enough. The B-day bash for my Great Nephew was fun at least. It was good to see him and the other side of the family who almost never seem to have time to visit.

Yelp
I was horrific. It was so unbelievably FILTHY!!! I didn't even want to eat the food.. and that was gross. We had gift cards but my kids could have used the 50 for something much better than that place! I took pictures too. I will be contacting the health department too. It was horrendous.
google avatar

Yelp
Angry parents and out of control children. Staff seemed willing and tried hard but unfortunately the demographic makes this impossible. I'll give a thumbs up to the attentive staff but the clientele,,,,yikes !! If your determined to go then make it during the week early in the day.

Yelp
So when my cousin called to invite me to accompany her and her five year old (who woke up with the need to go where a kid can be a kid) to go to Chuck E. Cheese, I jumped at the chance. Ski ball, air hockey and cotton candy what a great combo. I did have my reservations however. I hadn't been there in a long time so it could have turned into a dirty, screaming kid filled establishment with broken machines and lazy staff. It was however quite the opposite. We did go during the week so that may explain why the screaming kid part of my prediction wasn't correct. They had many games that are appropriate for little kids and adults. I won my fare share of the 650 tickets (a kids equivalent to hitting the jackpot) that were used to "buy" a stuffed Abby doll. The staff was super nice and let her have it even though we were 50 tickets short. They also brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me and they got the animatronic band going while they were on a break. They place seemed very clean as well which I was pleasantly surprised to see. Overall it was a fun time. It's not quite the Showbiz that I remember as a kid and the new band doesn't even compare to The Rock-A-Fire Explosion but they do have beer.

Yelp
This place. This place. If you ever think about having kids, come here on a Saturday. You will leave and buy you a dog, I ain't shittin' ya. You will blow two grand on tokens and leave with a whistle and a spider ring. Much like taking the family to Disney world, you will be gettin' screwed (in a bad way) the whole time. Best part about it is when you are pissing your pants laughing from drinking too much beer and watching that gorilla up on stage.

Jerry L.

Yelp
I will not go to this location. The type of customers that go to this place leave me scratching my head! Have you seen videos of Chuck E Cheese on YouTube? The few times I went for my children, we did not stay long. Sorry kids...we got to go! "Why Dad? I'll tell you when your older!
google avatar

Sara C.

Yelp
We are in town and decided to take our children here to play since it is cold and raining. We ordered I was shocked at how expensive this place is! First we walk in the restroom and there is no tissue, no paper towel or no soap, you are running a germ infested establishment and you don't have the proper things in the bathroom?! So I go to the counter and tell the girls up there the restroom needs attention so instead of one of them going to attend to it they decide to call over the radio and say "the bathroom needs tissue" nothing about paper towels nothing about soap! So then the kids are playing and then I realize we haven't received our food yet? I look at the time and it's been well over an hour we ordered 3 pizza's 3!! The manager comes out with one brings it to my table and then say sorry that's not yours and takes it back! Then I walk up to the front and ask what's going on she says well we got really backed up we are going to put them in now, I said well we ordered it over an hour and a half ago we are ready to leave I would like a refund.. she then proceeded to tell me that she can refund some but not all?! She was very unprofessional arguing with other people over her ear piece about the situation instead of talking professionally behind closed doors. She was rude & the place was disgusting!!!
google avatar

Vionte' S.

Yelp
My son absolutely loves Chuck E Cheese! This is his favorite place, my only issue is the people! Some of these people let their children run around unsupervised and ill mannered! I can't blame the staff for the condition of the establishment when it's the patrons who lack home training! It's also always crowded, but again, what child doesn't like this place?! I tend to go early Sunday's when it's slow so that my child can enjoy himself.

Yelp
Today the smell of the carpet was terrible; the manger stayed," the carpet had just been cleaned ", and she too smelled the sour stench. That was the reason I gave this location 3 stars. Otherwise it is a descent place

K M.

Yelp
This has become our favorite place to take our grandkids! The staff is very helpful and friendly. I don't know how they do it though. Some of the groups we have seen come in act like they just want to trash the place! The workers do their best to keep everything clean and sanitary but we have seen people drop food on the floor and just leave it. My wife saw a girl go clean the bathroom. When she went in after a few other people, they had already threw papers on the floor and sink area. This is a great place, it just needs better people coming in.

Ora C.

Yelp
Well...a surprise outing for the grandkids after school was quite the surprise for me. First...only one cashier...on a Friday with 5 birthday parties scheduled. One cook for the same. there were no clean tables to accomodate the 7 of us. I had to clear the table that I found that had the least amount of food smeared on it. The bathroom was dirty. No sanitizer in the dispenser. More than 5 people waiting to be helped with machines that were out of tickets and disappointed children just standing by to no avail. One of those children was my granddaughter. Two of the ticket munchers out of order. Oh..and the cashier was also the only person available to stamp people as they came in and nobody to watch or check the stamps as they left. Why bother?? There was one available at a later time...who, when we tried to leave, had both hands and arms up to his elbow covered in foamy sanitizer. Wish we could have found some earlier. Wonder where he had it hid?? All in all...the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because my grandchildren still had a good time. But...it will be somewhere else for us on the next surprise outing. Unbelievable. Oh...and we were there for 3 hours...tables still not cleaned off anywhere around us. Not to mention the smaller tables as well. Sad. Very sad.
