This is my first review ever... and I feel like it's somewhat necessary for me to write..
This past Saturday at 3pm, I booked a "Star" party package for 15 kids and 30+ adults... Right away I was informed, that my host was going to be a new trainee, and if I needed any information or any extra help, that I could talk to the host that was watching her. The 3 star review goes to her... She did great. I had a huge party with me, and I know it must have felt hectic, but we tried our best not to overwhelm her that much. She really was super sweet and helped us as much as she could.
Now... we got there with the intention of paying for 15 kids, the "Star Party" package which is $17 per child... but as my family and friends all arrived, we decided to upgrade, because we wanted unlimited play for the two hour duration of the party, for all 15 kids.
I noticed yesterday, Sunday, that we were charged $23.99 per child for that upgrade. But I also realized that the "Super Star" package is $21.99 per child. Might not be unlimited play but it is more games, than the "Star" package includes. With the "Super Star" you also get a collectable cup per child, and other cool things that go with your party, that the "Star" party doesnt offer.
Definitely would've been so much better if we were given the option to just upgrade the whole party, and it would've been cheaper for us. But they failed to mention anything, and let us pay more than what the "Super Star" package was, for the standard basic "Star" package...
Another option we could've been given was to pay only $3 extra per child, and our party would've been completely upgraded to the "Mega Super Star" package, which already comes with unlimited play per child, but it also comes with goodie bags, collectable cups, and all sorts of cool things that neither the "Star" package nor "Super Star" package includes..
I just dont like how, we were tricked basically into paying more money, for the basic party package, when my daughter could've had a better experience, had we known. This was my first time booking a party here or anywhere for that matter, and it honestly has me skeptical on booking with places from now on, because I dont agree with places like this having costumers that spend a good amount of money, just to be down played on their special day.
We paid a total of $523.59, for the "Star" party package. We didnt get any bonus tickets besides an offer that the manager I'm guessing, was giving out. The offer was, that if the person who booked the party gave a 10 out of 10 review on an email they sent out, then the birthday star would get 500 tickets, and if I'm being honest, that's WAY more than most kids at ChuckECheese get during their visit. My husband and I did that, so that our daughter could get her 500 tickets.. Other than that, we didn't get any bonus tickets with this package.
So, if your booking, I suggest you NOT upgrade anything while your there.. You will get tricked into paying more money than you need to. Our total came out to over 500 because the 3 medium pizzas, were nowhere near enough for my family that showed up. We had to order AT LEAST 4 more LARGE pizzas. And around 5 or 6 more pitchers of soda aswell. It's pretty expensive if you looked at how much pizza and drinks cost here..
Just definitely be cautious on what your spending, when booking here at the ChuckECheese in Stockton.. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW ALL OF YOUR PARTY OPTIONS!.. It's a fun place for children. I cant take away the fact that all the kids had fun while playing games and everything. I really wished I knew then, what I know now, about how they do things in there though. It's cheaper just to upgrade your whole party. Remember that.
I'll attach a photo of what my table looked like for the "Star" party package. Not including the Peppa Pig goody bags, I brought those from home.
