I Ate at Every Buffet on the Las Vegas Strip in One Week | Eater Vegas

"A historical touchstone often credited with opening the city’s first all-you-can-eat buffet in 1946; it offered inexpensive morning meals (reportedly $1 to sit) aimed at road-weary travelers and represents the origin story for the city’s long-running buffet tradition that later evolved into both low-cost loss leaders and high-priced spectacle-driven experiences." - Janna Karel

Convenient location and easy to get in and out of the parking lot. To get to restaurant, you through a pretty smokey casino, but once in restaurant, didn't notice the smoke. Server was very nice and friendly, spent some time recommending dishes. Got the appetizer platter and even though everything was fried, it was not greasy. The chicken tenders were their favorite with a very light coating of breading and super delicious and tender. The wings were the second favorite with a mild sauce, well cooked and crispy. The other dish was just a breakfast, that was tasty and filling. We ordered a side of pancakes and they were the favorite breakfast item. Can't wait to come back and try one of their steaks.

Follow -up We had another good visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the chicken on the barbecue platter was completely hard and dry, and so was the cornbread. Otherwise, everybody was served good hot fresh food, properly cooked. Their banana splits are huge! We received excellent service from Shane. Initial We were immediately seated on a Sunday at 4pm and quite surprised at the quality of food served here. We all ordered the steak and lobster dinner for a very reasonable price, and we added some sides like a salad and shrimp cocktail. Everything was really good. We didn't expect the steaks to be so tender. And, the lobster was cooked perfectly. Sure, the steak wasn't very thick, but it wasn't very thin, either. Sure, the lobster tails aren't 10 or 12 ounces, but it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail weren't huge, but they also weren't tiny, either. And, they were great! Definitely worth the price! They've got some good deals after 4:00 p.m., and then even more after midnight. Good service with a friendly server that was very helpful. We didn't expect dinner rolls with our meal, especially with whipped butter, but they were served. Details like the perfectly cooked green beans, great chili with beans, delicious carrot cake and even the mix of the Coca-Cola was very impressive. The shrimp cocktail sauce was also very tasty. All of those little things count, and they did them all very well. Great job, especially for a hole in the wall local casino diner. We'll be back!

The steak was great, so tender!!! I did not wait for so long. But the fries were soft and soggy. Salad was fine, just boiled vegetables. The bread was okay. I liked the all you can pancakes though. We got great services. The atmosphere was alright, dim light, average clean but the smoke was everywhere because of the casino beside the place. They are all connected in the same areas.

Google
This is one of the best Steakhouses I've been to. it may seem like a lowbrow, low quality restaurant but it's not that at all. The atmosphere is very inviting and the workers are very nice and welcoming. The food is amazing and the Steak is good quality. You really get to know your servers and they constantly see if you need help. It's like one little community. Overall, I would 100% come back to this place, the only complaint I would have is the casino and the cigarette smell.

Google
If you like breathing smoke like you're the smoker, this place is for you. Food was just mediocre, nothing over the top. SALAD was just mainly iceberg, lettuce very little, other greens, and some lettuce pieces poor quality. I had a bowl of the famous chili. I'm not sure why it's famous people. Maybe because it's not being a good bowl of chili. This place is all hype advertismenr its old and full of smoke don't go...

Google
One of my favorite spots for a late night dinner. The food is EXCELLENT. I'm a liver and onions girl and they have one heck of a great dish there that I like to order from time to time. The staff is always friendly and the wait is never a long one.

Wendy G.

Google
This is a place I have visited for 25yrs and in the last 5yrs the service there has declined! The Host girl at the front is not very friendly and lately the staff is too busy chatting amongst each other to greet you promptly. The food is usually great but the chef salad ($20) today was the smallest one I've had here in 25yrs! I like this place usually.... Do better people !

Conner L.

Google
Friendliest waitresses I've encountered in 2024, thank you for being so welcoming and go beyond/be on top of what the customer needs. (The hotel provided some funny $2 discount we doubted if it's a joke, but the waitresses actually help us apply them in separate bills, they were so nice so those $2 i saved definitely made me want to tip them big, win-win.) Breakfast wasn't bad hope to come back next time to try dinner.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much but this place is a hidden gem. The food has been very good and the prices are not too bad. It's a very small cafe next to the small casino, but they have some good items on the menu and the breakfast was terrific. The people working there are very nice & it is open 24/7. If you get a craving for something at 3 am, this is your go to place. They also have daily and late night specials.
google avatar

Yelp
We love coming here! You are always guaranteed a nice, hearty meal any time of day. Service is always prompt and with a smile. They have daily specials posted at the desk giving Old Vegas Vibes. Love love love!

Yelp
This is the place to go for good food at a good price and the help the waitress Alexis was awesome she was very friendly helpful and got our order right! She was very attentive to us! Definitely come back again and we won some money on the little casino.

Yelp
Lately I've been curious about finding hidden gem diners inside small casinos. I saw a video that talked about the 1 pound burger challenge at Chuck Wagon so looked it up and decided to give it a try. Whenever I try one of these places out, I always compare them to my standard -- Ellis Island. 9/10 times they fall short. And as far as Chuck Wagon goes, it wasn't too bad but not quite there. I'd say the burger was pretty good, no complaints at all. If there was one improvement they could make it would be the bun. It's a little on the dense side, in fact if anyone does the 1 lb challenge, I'm guessing the bun will be the hardest part. But it's not such an offender to hinder your enjoyment, just a little thick for me. Chili was very good, shake was solid, club sandwich fine. They do have some amazing cheap eats deals here, so might easy to check it out. I did gander over at the table next to me for their prime rib, and it did not look exceptionally appetizing which is a bummer and one reason it can't compare to Ellis Island. But definitely not bad and worth a visit for you to make your own opinion .

Yelp
What a great place to stop for a great breakfast!! Fantastic atmosphere, clean and for an older casino does not smell like smoke. Service was spot on and quick! Food was excellent definitely recommend the chicken fried steak with a side of biscuits and gravy. Will be going back!

Yelp
We decided to stop here after watching a local band play. It was pretty busy. But we were sat right away. You have to walk through the smokey Longhorn casino floor to get to the restaurant. The decor theme is cowboy and Western. But the people watching was a 10+++. Our server Shane was amazing. His personality is larger than life. I swear my wife made a new GBF! LOL I got the $16.99 steak and lobster She wasn't too hungry and ordered the hot dog no bun. We told him she was gluten free. He came out with the bread and jokingly apologized to her as you put it in front of me, which was hilarious. The lobster tail was small but you can't expect a huge tail for this price. The steak with top sirloin and it was perfectly cooked. All and all, we had a great meal for $35.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was on point! It's an old western feel! 15-20 minutes off the strip. Worth the drive! Cheap eats with quality ingredients.

Yelp
Crowded because it was Father's Day but seated right away. My breakfast chicken steak with eggs and fried potatoes and delicious. Bargain price. The casino and cafe reminds me of the same type places from years ago. The service in cafe and casino was surprisingly good. Not too far from home so I'll have to try out one of their steaks. Would recommend it to family and friends.

Yelp
IYKYK. This is THE spot for good cheap eats. The host, Alex, is very attentive, well mannered, and courteous when asking what seating arrangements you'd like, whether it's a table or booth. He always asks how your experience was at The Chuckwagon and makes sure you were satisfied with your service. Our waiter, John, is the politest person we've encountered and he's always ready to suggest a good dish. He makes sure you're enjoying your meal and asks if you need anything else to ensure you're satisfied. Our go to meal is the Turkey Club sandwich (1/4 shown, I was so into it that I forgot to take a photo before we chowed down) with avocado and extra bacon, sub mayo with homemade Caesar dressing. It is incredibly delicious and is more than enough so I always share with my husband. I tried their $7 Coronarita and all I can say is that it's worth every single penny. The strip restaurants have nothing on this joint. The graveyard shift is the best time to come. It's not as packed and you get graveyard specials such as all you can eat pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast specials (2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, hash browns, and toast) all for under $5 each! We have been coming here for a while now and we greatly recommend this place!

Yelp
I know we had eaten at this place several years ago but evidently I didn't leave a review so didn't know if we enjoyed it or not. However, this time we were enticed by the posted specials so thought we'd give it a try. Of course, it's Las Vegas and it's in a casino which means it smells smokey. It was and it was also dark. It's a small little restaurant in the back and not especially inviting. Our server was absolutely fine. I ordered the barbecue platter special and my husband ordered the taco salad. The barbecue platter came out loaded with barbecue sauce. I'm thinking that's why it was a barbecue platter because it certainly wasn't barbecued. It was chicken, ribs and brisket. Sounds delicious doesn't it? It wasn't. I think it'd been around a while as it was dry and smothered in barbecue sauce. The taco salad wasn't much better. The meat was drenched in some type of mexican seasoning.... way too much. We learned again not to be enticed just by price.

Yelp
We love this spot for breakfast! It's a crappy casino & smells like smoke but there's a hidden gem inside! This diner has great deals! No need for a players card or any gimmicks everyone gets it! We can't beat steak & lobster for $13.99! Service is quick & fast! I definitely recommend this as a great breakfast or lunch spot! I haven't tried their drinks but I know they look good & are cheap! Give them a try you have nothing to loose but $20 lol

Yelp
My wife and I have been somewhat regulars here but it's been awhile since we last ate here. The Chuck Wagon Restaurant is inside The Longhorn Hotel And Casino which in my opinion has seen better days and seems to attract a certain and older crowd. Believe it or not this establishment gets quite a bit of business (especially during breakfast) and don't be surprised if put on a waiting list to be seated. The place itself is smallish, outdated, and gives a diner-esque yet saloonish feel to it. Plays great music, though. If cigarette smoke bothers you at any capacity, this is probably not the place for you because it's nestled right next to the gambling floor where patrons are chain smoking. The service is ok and can be pretty inconsistent. Some days it's on point, others it's like, "WTH?!" Having to flag someone for a drink refill even when it isn't busy. At times, it seems the servers like to hang out in the cook area at the back. Nonetheless, depending who's working, good service does happen here. The food here is where it gets really spotty. In my opinion (and it's just MY opinion) The Chuck Wagon isn't known for their quality but for their affordability and price point. They have a rather vast menu from breakfasts to burgers/sandwiches to steak/lobster and everything in between. A lot to choose from, really. Again, the quality is questionable. It's not horrible but average at best. There hasn't been a meal I've ordered that I've returned nor left uneaten. If I were to recommend a certain type of meal, I'd say breakfast. Affordability is where this place shines. Where can you find a steak and lobster meal for $18 that doesn't require to be there during a happy hour? Albeit, on the small side but still... You can order anything on their menu and walk out paying less than $20 before tip. For a sit down restaurant, that's stellar. Most fast food places are more expensive nowadays with even worse quality/service. Overall, this is not a bad place to have a meal. Just don't come here expecting gourmet but to more suffice a need on a budget. Keep in mind The Longhorn Hotel And Casino is located in an area that is less to be desired in the SE Vegas Valley. Keep your doors locked and your head on a swivel. 3.5 stars from me. Good luck!

Yelp
The best food and best prices in town, I love the trout Armine with rice and stake and lobster is to die for!

Yelp
Located on the infamous Boulder Highway just inside the Longhorn Casino, this restaurant was suggested by a friend. Upon approach, most of our group felt hesitant. Not only is this in a questionable area but the buildings look quite old and not as well kept as the Vegas strip. We walked through the smoke-filled casino to get to the actual restaurant. Usually, there is somewhere in the restaurant to wait for a table away from the smoke and the gambling scene, but this was not the case here. Our wait was right next to the slot machines. We could have reached over and pushed buttons for some of the patrons. Luckily, it was not much of a wait and we were seated in a large corner booth. It had direct access to the casino with open walls so we still were getting smoke smells all throughout our dinner. On a positive note, the table was cleaned and sanitized right in front of us so we knew it was clean. Our server did a great job of taking our order quickly, but only checked with us a couple of times. We had to grab help two times to get forks and drink refills. The food was good, not amazing but the prices were great and the portion sizes unbelievable! The cake slice blew "all our minds"! For a $6.99 price tag, not sure how this place is making any profit. It was good home-style cooking and we would have given more stars if service and the restaurant atmosphere were better. Worth a try at least!

Yelp
5 stars for a no-nonsense, straightforward dining experience. No need to flash a players card or Nevada residence card for their meals. They have almost a book of a menu for diner style dishes. Both the food and drink prices can't be beat. Steaks and prime rib plates are sold here but it's a casual sit-down restaurant. Located about almost straight in back of the casino. Check in with the host. I went twice this week and the service is very friendly. Take your check to hostess/host for payment.

Yelp
Been gambling at The Longhorn casino quite some time. Decided to try the restaurant and it did not disappoint! Customer service is EXCELLENT. Menu prices are inexpensive and the quality of food is also excellent. The restaurant is small and sometimes there's a wait, but definitely worth it. I visit from out of state quite frequently and I always gamble at this casino. Now, I will eat while I'm here! Come see Shane and the rest of the great team at The Chuck Wagon Restaurant inside The Longhorn Casino!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good.... And the service was also pretty good..... but they advertised special pricing for grave yard shift on some items and did not honor them even while referring to the sign out front... seemed weird...

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
So yummy! Portion sizes do not disappoint. Prices have gone up (EVERYWHERE ) but still a great value! Been coming here for years and years!! It's always crowded but the wait isn't too bad and totally worth the wait! It's old school Vegas for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know where else you can get an 8 oz NY steak & 4 oz lobster tail with a loaded baked potato and veggies on the side for ~$20. Sure, the veggies are definitely frozen and probably microwaved and the potato is just a potato, and everything needs more seasoning but that steak was decent and so was the lobster. My local grocery store sells an uncooked lobster for $14. Would I come here again? Probably not but it's worth a stop if you're staying at the Longhorn Casino. You get a coupon for the restaurant also.

Yelp
After reviewing the extensive the foods on the menu, we decided on liver & onions and the BBQ platter. These two items were just okay in my opinion. Aside from the food, the main point of this review is for the service. Our waiter, Shane, was unbelievably attentive and friendly. I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu and I will make sure to request Shane to serve us.

Yelp
I never thought that I'd write this about The Chuck Wagon because my boyfriend and I always got great service and great food there. My boyfriend went to The Chuck Wagon to get me some liver and onions which I've been craving and I've got really bad allergies, especially food allergies and bad stomach issues, but The Chuck Wagon has always worked with me and never made me feel like a bother, so what happened today? My boyfriend got there and ordered my liver and onions and he was asked if he wanted the rice that came with it and he said, " No." He was asked if he wanted the mashed potatoes and gravy and he told them that I was allergic to potatoes, which I am, and could I just have some fruit? The person taking the order said she'd ask and she came back and said, " No." Excuse me? Fruit is on their menu, and they've never had a problem before letting me have fruit, they just charged me which is okay, and when my boyfriend brought home my liver and onions and opened the box for me corn was inside and I'm allergic to corn too!! My boyfriend was livid because he said that he wasn't even asked if I would like corn. I had to stop him from going back there and asking to speak to a manager while he had my order with him. We're regulars when I'm feeling better and the servers who get us most of the time know about me and my allergies and stomach issues, and I apologize to them for being a Diva and they're very kind to me because I don't like being in the ER vomiting, in pain, and doctors trying to get me to breath because a food that I'm allergic to touch a food that I could eat! Then I called to see what was taking my boyfriend and whoever answered the phone needed to learn her phone manners. I asked for my boyfriend by first name and last name, and I asked was he standing there waiting? She said, " No" and said that I needed to be transferred to the front desk. I said just my boyfriend's name and not his last name and she all of a sudden remember and she told me that he had just left and I thanked her. My boyfriend and I were very disappointed in The Chuck Wagon today and we're never are disappointed in them.

Yelp
Came here with the family for the great prices. It's true you can get some of the cheapest food in Vegas here. Unfortunately for my family their steaks were too raw, then too burnt. Meat was overall low quality. My ham steak however was amazing, a good size came with eggs and potatoes. Waitress was really nice. I enjoyed it. 3 stars
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
You get your money's worth here! We were seated at a booth and was greeted by a not so friendly server, who told us we'd have to wait because she has two other tables who got there before us.. okay, that's fine.. Thank goodness Jazmin came in and saved us! She's awesome! Made up for when we got first got there. My table enjoyed our dishes, although the salad could've had more dressing, that was my daughters only issue. The steaks that my party ordered was good for the prices. My burger was cooked perfectly & well seasoned, it was hearty so I was only able to finish half of it. We didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant for breakfast before we left, will have to go try it out next time we're in town.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Good food and a large amount for the price. I thought the salad and shrimp cocktail was the best. They don't take reservations but we got seated in about 15 minutes on a Saturday night. Servers are extremely attentive and friendly. Their menu has a good variety for everyone.

David R.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food was even better. I recommend the giant ham steak.
google avatar

Brynja A.

Yelp
I don't go here for the ambiance, but I do go here for huge portions, tasty food and cheap prices! I'm from Seattle but I make sure to stop here every time I visit Vegas. I recommend the Reuben sandwich!
google avatar

Darren S.

Yelp
After not coming here for a couple of months I decided to try the prime rib again. The last few times it was raw and had the consistency of chewed bubble gum. I always ask for it medium and this last time was no different! My prime rib was rare and almost raw in places!!! I left it on the plate, paid for it and walked out.
google avatar

Cindi S.

Yelp
This was my first time here & the food was great for the price. The wait was about 20 minutes but that's expected since it there are not many tables. This place is tucked inside a small casino & while our host was friendly our waitress was not. We had to remind her about an alcoholic beverage because it came from the bar & she had forgotten to grab it. All-in-all you can't beat a meal for 3 with drinks (1 alcoholic) for under $50 with tip. Someone recommended breakfast there so the next time I'm in Vegas I might give that a try?

Eric I.

Yelp
Our local go to restaurant. Tasty meals with ample portions and fair pricing. We find ourselves here at least twice a month. For more savings, they also have a monthly specials menu on their website.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
The food was delicious!! Lobster meat (steak and lobster meal) was the size of a prawn, but can't expect much more for $18! The rest of the portions were huge! I tried the breakfast (w/egg white) burrito and it was cooked perfectly, large portion, not greasy or buttery and still had so much flavor. The service was ahhh-mazing! Just right, he didn't over check, didn't under check...and yaaaaaaassss was he hilarious, friendly, and very knowledgeable! You'll likely dine amongst locals and elders who know where to come for a large, fresh, home cooked meal! Surprisingly there is minimal background noise from the casino and gambling patrons.
google avatar

Valerie A.

Yelp
I don't know what happened to this place, but this used to be mine and my husband's favorite place to go eat now it is one of the worst place to go the first place you see no smile, rude cold food, and the list goes on not to mention they really need to think about Getting rid of some of the stale smoke smell.

Catherine B.

Yelp
I left an honest review about the food and service just a few days back. I was informed today that now my whole family can not come back to eat or gamble just because I told the truth. Be careful the truth can 86 you from a Restaurant and casino. Instead of fixing the problem - just kick the customer out.
google avatar

Val G.

Yelp
So now everytime we come to Vegas, we come over to the Chuck Wagon. They have that old Vegas feel and the beers at the casino are under $2. Of course you have a lot of locals but everyone is friendly and the place is kept really nice. They are diligent about you keeping your mask on during these COVID times. They were putting a huge pumpkin while we were waiting for brunch where you get to guess the weight of the pumpkin for cash prizes. Pretty cool fun extra that they allow even their employees to play. Well, let's get back to the food. The bone-in ham steak breakfast is amazing at the regular price but the special of $5.95 is awesome. I had it once and shared it with my wife. It was prepared perfectly and it was more than we could eat. Since I came here twice in one weekend, I ordered the Reuben sandwich and cup of tomato soup on one of the occasions and it was very good. The service is very good and they are pretty quick to refill your coffee and make sure you are happy. This has become one of our new favorites.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Good food for great prices just like old vegas times. Recommend to those on a budget and everyone else. As far as service you have to ask for Shane he is the best waiter. He actually cares about the customers and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy and have everything they want. Shane makes your visit an incredible experience.

Yelp
Good old hearty breakfast spot fitting of the name, Chuck Wagon Restaurant! The food is plentiful, fresh and tasty. The portions are manly and I don't think you'll be disappointed in satisfying your appetite. The selection is pretty standard so don't expect fancy breakfast fare...just go with a hunger for a bountiful cowboy breakfast! The only downside is the casino/hotel is older and attracts some interesting folk. Security has a great presence and staff is welcoming. But as our source recommending said, "just walk straight back to the restaurant" and all is good. It's not a huge place so expect a lil wait if it's prime breakfast time!

Yelp
Well, every time I'm in Las Vegas, I try to eat at The Chuck Wagon before going back home. Not only is this one of my all-time favorite restaurants but the fact that it's in my favorite town is like a dream come true. Every time I come here, whether I had a hangover (I don't drink anymore) or not, I've always had different items from the menu that just get better and better every time. Even though I know I had it before, this time I had the steak & lobster dinner and YO!!! it was amazing. The lobster tail is a little on the smaller side but for the price, you still get a decent size tail. But the steak, now that's where you'll get your money's worth. Especially if you get it with a side that you really enjoy, you'll find yourself pretty full. We were seated the second we got there and we were happy cause my homie and I didn't eat until the day before. Vegas has a habit of keeping our attention on the crap tables for some reason lol so we were starving by the time we got there. Our server Kelly was really sweet and very attentive to us throughout our dinner. It's not even crazy but out of all the spots to go eat while in Las Vegas, my all-time favorite spot is The Chuck Wagon and I can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
Sunday: After 10pm I was starving after arriving in Vegas and waiting and taking Uber to my hotel Sam's Town far out on the Boulder Hwy. I checked in and got my room. Then walked a block and crossed the Boulder Hwy as I spotted the deal signs and Yelped it while I stayed across the street at the Eastside Cannery for 5 days. Finally got to visit and came with a healthy appetite. Smoke-filled casino with a security guy in the front. Chuckwagon Restaurant a bit in and near the back. Keith sat me and rattled off all the specials. I was in cheap grub heaven. He got me a water and gave me ample time to peruse the menu. I started with the $2.99 shrimp cocktail (after 10pm only) and a $1.50 Newcastle brew (anytime!). Then I ordered the 8 oz Steak and 4 oz lobster tail (after 10pm)$12.99 and the biscuits and gravy $1.79 (after 10pm). The skinny and breakdown: Shrimp cocktail: Decent shrimp, shredded lettuce instead of celery and minimal cocktail sauce. Average at best. Not authentic but price was the only good thing. Steak: Tender enough but had an unappetizing burnt taste to it. Decent. Nothing special. Lobster: Appetizing but very small. 2 bites. Tasty though Bisky and grave: Huge plate with like 3 or 4 biskies and tons of tasty white lava of love. Jeezy! Sooo yum. Ate every bit of this slapper! Hooowwiiee! Yes sir. Only thing to make it better is to add meat in the sauce. But zi get it $2.99 regular and $1.79 after 10pm does not allow for that. Best item of the night! Talk about a way to dine like a local! 3.5 stars for the food combined and 5 stars for the service. 5 stars for Keith, the supervising waiter was superb. Super service! Great chat with him and he was helpful with choices and specials. Tuesday: After having a KBBQ AYCE on Tuesday, I had to take a break on buffets. So I came here around 9pm as I had no lunch since I ate a village at the KBBQ the night prior. I came for the 4pm to close 16 oz Porterhouse for $7.99. The waitress was ok. Nice but service level suffered greatly. I only got the porterhouse and a water. I asked for medium. It came out hella rare and pink in each bite. I asked her after she came by way after I ate it all. She was gone and rarely came by. I told her about the steak and she just said I could have told her and she could bring out another. Too late. It had the same burnt smoky taste on the edges. I think it is the grill that may need cleaning. Gross if so. She never came back. She dropped my check off soon after dropping off my steak. Weird but I felt she just wanted to end servicing my table. So she got a goose egg tip and a 2 rating. The food was a 2 rating. Overall I rate it as a 3.5. Biz and gravy is bomb. Keith rules! Iam going to wait until 10pm when Keith works next time to eliminate the BS. I gave it a 4 rather than a 3 as a rounding up due to the good specials.

Yelp
The server was a sweet Mexican lady . But when I got food my steak was not cooked to my liking . I asked for medium and it was completely raw . Once we told the server about it . She said she put in medium which we understand. But the cook made it raw . And she kept on looking at my boyfriend's steak cause he got medium as well like trying to compare. She ended up bringing the manager as he was just hunched over the table just staring at me . As I try to explain how I wanted my steak and that this was just raw he just staring & making me uncomfortable like if I was staying something wrong . I'm not dumb I know how to order a steak and know the difference medium and RAW ASF. He asked what would I like done about it at that point I told him i just don't want it . And we just ended up leaving . I don't understand why there was so much attitude.

Yelp
Older crowd. Restaurant has a Smokey feel to it due to the casino floor. Calling ahead helps since they get packed usually. Pricing and amount of food is great.

Yelp
This place is another awesome stop I love the food it never misses to hit the right spot and for the price my gosh it's delicious the portions are big and just right. I usually get their wings or ribs and both are so good they are the best wings and the ribs are so tender and juicy always recommend their service is great super friendly.

Yelp
This is the restaurant my Girlfriend and I enjoy most in town as locals. I recommend the Porterhouse Steak special after 4:30 PM! It's great quality at less then $10! They have a large menu with lots of choices at prices that are reasonable! The customer service is very solid. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Mood- $8.99 Porterhouse ( hmmmm) I called in advance and placed a reservation. As this is our semi norm now during good ol advanced Covid Era. Once arrived we were quickly seated, given menus and offered beverages. Inside of the menu there is a little quick daily specials card showing whats offered. We opted for the Porterhouse steak dinner, Ham Steak & Eggs Meal, and of course that classic Shrimp Cocktail very Old Vegas. My confusion honestly set in by the prices. It was like a sincere time warp of sorts. The steak was fair. However can you really complain about 8.99 for a 16oz steak? The Ham Steak was well prepared, and the Shrimp Cocktail all dolled up the way I like " Juarez Style " yes I requested extra things to make it so. All items were honestly a great deal. Interior is several table and chair arrangements , along with booths. Staff continually cleaning between customers and everyone was wearing masks and gloves to ensure our safety. There is limited capacity for seating. Would recommend- even if you just want a hearty meal for a cheap price. Staff was very friendly and my table was very well taken care of. Def recommend reservations so you dont have to wait. Location is Boulder Hwy/ Harmon - ample parking.

Yelp
I haven't been back to Longhorn casino for 19 years, and the place hasn't changed a bit! Chuck Wagon is the casino's 24 hours restaurant. This is as dingy as it gets, but good food can often be found in this kind of places. It's one of the few restaurants I know of that serves liver, and that's precisely why I went back. I was a little disappointed though, the liver was a little hard, definitely not the way it's supposed to be. The Banana Split however was amazing. It's an experience, I would recommend trying it.

Yelp
Came here due to reviews and convenience since staying at the Longhorn Hotel. The reviews are right. The portions are huge. I thought I'd be safe getting the 4oz chicken fried steak....nope huge. Even had to ask if it was the 4oz lol. It was real good and for $5.99 can't beat that. It came with toast hash browns and two eggs. Omg. Also got the country breakfast. Also huge. And $8.99. Two eggs, campfire potatoes, pancakes. Choices choices choices for these options and a sausage patty. This place is packed so service is a bit slow but it's well worth the wait. Maria is a great waitress and very friendly as well. With the players card you can use points for food. Definitely eat here!!!
