Chuck's Auto provides quality work by honest folks. Chuck's saved me from almost paying thousands of dollars on a repair I didn't actually need then that had been strongly recommended by a large auto chain that rhymes with "Run Level Auto." I take my business to Chuck's now. Worth paying for work and analysis you can trust.

I highly, highly, highly recommend this place! After letting my old car go far too long without maintenance, I ended up having some major issues. They were friendly, honest, and thorough in explaining what was going on to me, someone who is completely inept when it comes to cars. The price was incredibly fair not only considering my cars issues but also in comparison to competitors. my car was also done much faster than anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. All of these things combined made them life savers! I also went here about a year ago to get my car checked out before a long drive and they were honest about the issues my car had and what I could put off/how long. Great, trustworthy people and agin I cant say enough about the fairness of the pricing. I will be going back for all my car needs. :) edit: 2025! they're still the most honest and most fairly priced. have only gone to other places if they're booked out recently took my car in for an issue and they were just as fair as honest as always which I truly appreciate as someone who knows nothing abt cars. would still recommend.

Found this place on Reddit after searching for trustworthy mechanics in my area. The A/C in my car wasn't blowing cold air. They were my "second opinion" and the first guy had told me I would have to replace the entire A/C system and quoted me $2,000. Pete was a knowledgeable, kind technician and had figured out the problem within an hour of me dropping off my car. He said there were a few valves and o-rings that were causing the freon to leak. He was able to replace these parts SAME DAY for a literal fraction of the price I was originally quoted. By that afternoon, I was driving away with a fully functional A/C. And on top of all of that, they even replaced one of my tail lights that they had noticed was out completely free of charge! Cannot say enough good things about the level of service these guys provide. 1000/10 highly recommend.

I stopped in in-person and they told me to call them next week to make an appt. since they were booked up. I called 5 days later and no answer. Called again later the same day and no answer. Left a message asking for contact. Several business days later and no call back.

I am semi-new to Arizona and needed to find a local mechanic after the dealership quoted me almost $700 to replace one part that was causing my check engine light to go off. I needed to make sure my car was not only safe to drive without damage until I could get it fixed but that they also identified the correct problem. I found Chuck's Auto off Google and went there based on the reviews. Mark helped me every step of the way. I left my car with them for the day and they checked my history codes and the part that was supposed to be broken. My car was showing that this part was working just fine but since my light has gone back on and off and on... Mark let me bring it back when the light was on just to make sure they diagnosed correctly. Everyone here is so kind and easy to talk to. They're also a veteran owned business which made me happy to utilize them as well. Thank you Chuck's Auto team!

Wanted to charge me $225 to install an O2 sensor that I had on hand. That is about a 30 minute job. When I told him I don't know of many mechanics making $450 an hour he said they charge $150 for labor per hour so I guess it takes them an hour and a half to do a 30 minute job? They must be saving up for a sign for their business, which the guy told me they don't have because it would cost them a couple thousand a year in permits. This place is a joke. Update: Found a shop a mile away from this one that installed the sensor for $80. I would expect this kind of mark-up if I was broken down in the middle of nowhere and this was the only shop within 100 miles, but the fact that they are trying to charge those kind of prices for basic services in the middle of a major metropolitan area explains why they can't even afford a sign for their business.

My family and I have been using Chuck's auto for more than 20 years, they are the best at what they do and the personality of these guys are beyond amazing. I would recommend Chuck's to anyone. All of the other reviews on here are spot on and I am so pleased to see the 4.9 star rating. If you go to Chuck's I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Chuck's came to my attention by recommendation from my boss. I planned to drop off my car in the morning but I was told I had to make an appointment, and that appointment would be for the next week. To me, this means that Chuck's has people lining up to get in, so I made the appointment and drove home. I dropped it off with my laundry list of mechanical issues and a couple of hours later, I got a call with the solutions to the problems and the estimates of each job. I chose the two main things and picked up my car the next day. The total ended up being under the estimate, which is always good, but the main thing I noticed was that everyone I spoke to was friendly, helpful, and open. They even washed off my windows and did a quick wipe down of the interior before sending me on my way. That attention to detail is really important, and a welcome change to what I've become accustomed when having my car serviced. Try this place out!

From the moment I walked in, I was treated with respect and zero Bullshit. They took the time to explain what was going on, took me on the test drive with them to see what was going on and gave me options without pressuring me, and got the work done within one day! The pricing was better than all the shops within a 10 mile radius! and most importantly, I trusted them--which is rare these days with auto shops. I've been haggled for more money by Mazvo, Big-O tires, Midas, and even Scott's family shop. I only trust Chucks shop to take care of me! If you need help with your car and want to deal with real, honest people who actually know what they're doing, go to Chuck's. They saved me big time, and I'll be sending everyone I know their way. Absolute legends.

Great shop !!! Glad I'm able to tell people where to go when they're having car troubles. they have helped out so many family and friends I haven't been to any other shop for my vehicle since I've been introduced to this amazing establishment I can truly trust them and have peace of mind not worrying about being scammed or overcharged . Chuck has been working on my cars since 1981. For me, that's a whole lotta cars over the years. Don't let the "hole in the wall" appearance fool you; they know cars, and will treat you like family. The employees have been there forever. They are prompt and exceedingly honest. Their pricing is amazing, and if they can fix your car and save you money at the same time, they give you the options in plain English. When possible, they'll give you the choice of used parts, reconditioned, or new. If it's going to take a few days to fix the problem, they'll tell you up front. You can count on an honest estimate and top notch service. And you can always count on a friendly conversation and a laugh or two.

I'm a big fan of this small shop, I get great service & good fair prices. The guys are really nice & explain things well.

I took my 2005 Ford Focus to Chuck's for my transmission as referred by a friend. Chuck's was the third shop I had taken my car to, and will be the FIRST from now on. The estimate they gave me for repair was better than the first two shops and they were very thorough in their work. Chuck, Pete and Cory are not just a bunch of mechanics making a living. Pay attention now, this is the ONLY place in the Valley to take your car. The ONLY place. Honest, incredibly knowledgeable about vehicles, and very very reasonable. It doesn't look like much, actually, it looks like nothing, so if you need a latte and child care while your car is fixed, go somewhere else. If you want good repair work, honesty and a fair price, say it with me Yelpers--"This is the ONLY place."

I have been taking my 2000 Corvette to Chuck's Auto since early 2009. I usually work with Pete .. he's great. A super mechanic, great attitude and very helpful. I wish I would have found this business many years earlier. The only problem is that they are always busy .. because so many people already know how good a shop this is. I tell everyone I know to come here for work on their cars. Thanks guys ... you're a super shop and I'm grateful for all your quality work over the years.

So, my dad owned a auto repair shop for over 20 years, when he refers you to someone, you listen. Usually my dad just fixes my car for me, I'm terrible with mechanical stuff, but halfway through changing a fuel filter to try and dIagnose a problem he was at a standstill and suggested I take the car to Chuck's. I called the shop and they said they were really booked up for the next few days, so I dropped the car off the day before they said they could look at it. I explained the problem and the actually listened, even though I have no idea about cars. They were able to check it out, and FIX it the same day I dropped it off and had it ready for me that afternoon. When I picked it up they explained that the problem was much simpler than I thought it was and they charged me a whopping.... $38. Then the attendant apologized that he hadn't gotten a chance to clean the windows because I got there so quickly. Who are these guys?!? Honest, Fair, Affordable, Service Oriented! I highly recommend Chuck's Automotive Service Center!!!

If your car breaks, this is the only place to bring it. You will be treated well and will not be talked into repairs beyond necessity. My fear is that Chucks will become so popular that I will never get in. This is really the best place in town

I am a senior lady and I was referred to Chuck's by my to have maintenance check on my car. I have always changed my oil, set my spark plugs for tune up on 75 chevy malibu...lets just say I love to work on cars. Well I'm older and the newer cars are more complicated. I'm from OH where I had a great mechanic. I was highly recommended to Chucks and I must say I received a blessing that day. I only needed a tune up...the price was more than fair for my 2010 chevy malibu.( yes I love my chevys) The staff Paul and Harold were exceptionally professional and kind. The shop was very neat for a auto repair business. I will continue to take my car to this center and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that needs there car repaired. In these times it is hard to find a fair, honest business who cares about individuals, well again I thank God for Chuck's Auto Service Center and I pray there business continue to grow and grow. This is a great place to take your car. They are honest and will tell you if they are not equipped to do a certain repair and will recommend somewhere else to take your car. They work relatively quickly, but you might have to leave your car there for a day because they are always so busy. Reasonably priced and great service.

At first, I was skeptical of dropping my Jeep off at this shop because it doesn't look like much. The mechanics are friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to be dropped off and picked up; great customer service; Chuck is honest about his limitations and he definitely knows his cars! As a first time customer, I definitely appreciated that. My Jeep was repaired and it is running great and I would highly recommend this shop.

when you're a solo female, (or anyone), but especially a solo female, this place is a Godsend.... Chuck's is the only place to bring any car, regardless of make or year...I've had Navigators for years,& always went to the "dealer"..until 2 yrs ago when they really did a number on me..talk about loyalty to customers, no such thing @ Camelback Lincoln......I brought it to Chuck's, it was repaired for the fraction of the price, & I will go nowhere else..they are patient w/their explanations, they are excellent w/their work, they will go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience & at will do their best to accommodate, so it's all at the customer convenience..they also work on my 56 T bird..as I said, nothing they can't fix & I would bet if they couldn't, they'd say it right up front....I only wish I'd started this "relationship" years & years ago...

Don't take your vehicle here. I took my truck here to have them replace my temperature gauge on my dash. While driving home my check engine light came on. I found my air intake hose closed into my air filter causing my light to come on. What a sneaky way to have someone bring their vehicle back. Btw, I had to replace my damaged hose ($1.98) and took 5 minutes of my labor, I'm sure I saved a good chunk of my money they would have cheated me out of.

My long time mechanic retired in December and I have been looking for another one who will look at my car, what it needs and not what the service book says. My neighbor who has been going to Chuck's for years suggested I give them a try. I went today for an oil change and they checked my battery and said it was weak. I was able to get a new one before I got stranded somewhere. Exceptional customer service, really nice, friendly guys. This is my new mechanic for sure!

I'm a student at ASU and my car was experiencing some problems. I saw this shop while I was in Phx and decided to check it out. I do not understand how this service center is getting 5 star reviews. This was literally the worst experience of my life. I trusted this shop to fix my car and I even spent the majority of my savings in order to get my car fixed... OBVIOUSLY, it still isn't fixed. Every time I called to check up on my car, the mechanic would be rude and make excuses as to why he could not give me an update, but would offer to call me back. He made me feel like I was bothering him and that he did not give a damn about my service. I gave my phone at least ten times and never once did I get a call back. Apparently, it was an inconvenience to them to return calls to their customers. It was very frustrating as you can imagine. Finally, after over 30 days of constant calling, my car was "fixed". The mechanic had NO PROBLEM acting nice to me in person or accepting my hard earned cash. He told me that everything was fixed and that I won't be having any problems. I drove my car home that afternoon and I noticed it made a crackling noise. I called multiple times, but did not get anyone to answer. I did not drive the car often. I drove it approximately 8-14 days since I got it from the shop. It has been three months since then. The car is having the SAME problems. The only thing this shop is good at is taking money. People always say "never trust a mechanic". This shop gets a 5/5 stars on this phrase. The only reason I gave it one star is because it won't allow me to give it 0. Beware.
