Chugoku Hanten Fureika

"The house boasts two kitchens, one for Shanghainese and the other for Cantonese cooking, each overseen by a dedicated chef. A rôttiseur is in charge of the roasted pork fillet, a dim sum master for steamed buns and gyoza dumplings, each preparing their specialities in the authentic style. The menu ranges from familiar vegetables to dishes using luxury ingredients, along with several creative items. At lunch, the dim sum set and the à la carte menu are both recommended." - Michelin Inspector

A friend of mine made the reservation for me.It seemed like a high-end Chinese restaurant, but the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Among the courses, the shark fin soup was very satisfying, with plenty of shark fin and soup. The Peking duck was crispy and delicious⭐︎Highly recommended fine Chinese restaurant!

We got a nice recommendation for this place. Fancy Chinese restaurant with a fine decoration and gray service. We chose for lunch menu and we add some dishes a la carte. We was craving for dumplings, the ones we got all very tasty and not the conventional ones however they serve with out sauce. I may understand the chef preferred like this to enjoy the delicate flavor but still a bit fatty and I miss the sauce to make a balance. Anyway a comeback for the duck, looks great a cross the table.

Our 3rd visit last week. Had weekend lunch here, dim sum set. Thanks for letting us dine in the main hall although at the point of reservation the table wasn't available. Photos added. ----+-----+-----+------ Visited here for weekday lunch. If you like to enjoy a fine Chinese near Tokyo tower then I recommend here. We ordered dim sum lunch set, $40++ each. The black tea, pu erh was excellent with the course. Please see each photos for your information to get to know the details. All no edited. The appetizer and dim sum made me very full before fried rice delivered to the table. Entirely excellent service and the course of small but very satisfying cuisines. Thanks.

Fureika is one of the best Shanhai and Cantonese fusion restaurant. They have really good selection of tea that is what I really like about. They have very good service and excellent dishes. The Peking Duck is signature dish.

One of the best pecking duck places around. I really enjoy the ambiance of this place. Not too loud not too quiet. Not too many tourists. Can get a bit pricey as the portion of orders are rather small. But overall I think everything is reasonably priced. Reservation is a must. I recommend the half size for the pecking duck for a party of 2.

As known as Fancy Chinese restaurant. Usually difficult to book for dinner. This time we went there for lunch. Was great and their 小籠包 is the best!

Yelp
Michelin Mood Like many, I do follow the Michelin Guide and sometimes find their discoveries to be helpful in terms of trying new places In Asia, however, I usually stay clear and find other resources It's not that many of the places are necessarily bad, it's that they may be chosen because they are more foreigner friendly (ie:speak English, customer service centric (accept credit cards), or focus on service While those things are nice, when food is involved, taste and quality should be the number one criteria followed next by value This trip I sampled two Michelin Guide picks: One Michelin Star Chinese Food Fureika and Michelin Bib Gourmand Iruca Ramen Both are relatively close to my hotel and that's my final criteria: convenience and proximity Fureika is considerably higher price and features a very elegant dining room with classy service. But there are misses from lukewarm tea, language barriers, and sky high pricing Stir Fried Prawn and Sweet Soy Sauce ¥3300 / Shark Fin Soup / Dongpo Pork / Half Beijing Duck / Stir-Fried Wagyu Beef with Vegetable with Salt and Chili Taste ¥4400 / Xiao Long Bao ¥2700 Fureika (Higashiazabu, Tokyo, JPN)

Yelp
Food is really well presented. Tasty and light but not overly flavorful. Service is attentive space feels opulent and high end. Lunch set menus offer decent value into this someone aspirational dining establishment. The roast duck tasting is nice, well thought out but can take 1-2 hours to complete. I think it's completely worth here but don't come here if you are in a rush.
