Love this place, can't wait to go back. I had a turkey panini and I loved it. My friend had avocado toast and cheese grits which was so good

We drove in from New Orleans to attend a birthday party. The next morning we went to Church Alley Cafe for breakfast. Service was awesome. I had a breakfast plate and my husband had breakfast tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner was so nice. She made me a refreshing drink with fruit in it, sooo good. Just an all around great place to eat.

Had a wonderful breakfast here on our way through town on our way to New Orleans. The coffee was smooth and tasty. The loaded grits were so good and filling. They more than exceeded my expectations. While we ate indoors, we had great conversation with the staff. Amazing atmosphere, so glad to have spent some time here while visiting. Thanks for the great breakfast!

Google
Such a cute little pocket restaurant right off main st. Love the name and atmosphere, but unfortunately did not have a good first time experience here. Staff seemed slightly unorganized. Came on a Sunday morning at 8 am, it took awhile to get the orders placed and then even took longer for the food to arrive. I got the Nutella “stuffed” French toast , which ended up being 2 slices of bread with some Nutella spread and a side of fruit, which took 35 minutes to come to the table. 🙀 the specialty coffees were really delicious, I definitely recommend getting one of those, the cafe au lait was not it this morning, not sure if it was the milk or what but it did not taste good. Someone at my table ordered the loaded puffins with no pork, substitute turkey, well after 20 minutes a server came and said that she had put pork sausage in it and it was already baking, so she would need to order something else. Not to mention we had already let the staff know we were on a time crunch. Needless to say my suggestion would be if you come here, put your food order in first and then order coffee, and be prepared to wait. I would come again for the coffee if in the area. Indoor and outdoor seating available

Exactly what our city needed. This beautiful cozy little cafe has done a great job of satisfying the need for a coffee shop/cafe in New Iberia that serves quality foods/drinks. Ambiance is perfect for gathering with friends/family for a nice lunch and good coffee. Decor is done tastefully and seating design is versatile. The menu is creative and has healthy items both adults and children can enjoy. Serving size is perfect. The staff are the kindest most welcoming people I have had the pleasure of meeting/talking to in the service industry in the US. You are made to feel extremely welcomed and valued as a customer. I highly recommend this cafe and will visit often.

Oh man, I wanted to like this place so badly, especially with the limited options for breakfast in New Iberia. For starters, it’s a coffee shop, but has VERY LIMITED coffee options. The menu had typos so for the 1 Man Breakfast it said it included rice, but thankfully I asked about it because it should have said grits. It sounded delicious, but instead of the breakfast bowl written on the menu it came out as an All American Plate with a side of grits, eggs, bacon, & a tablespoon of pepper jelly. There was absolutely no flavor to the food. I had to add salt & pepper. It definitely didn’t taste like Southern cooking. The quality of the food was just weak. The bacon reminded me of the cheap thin sliced bacon you’d get at McDonald’s rather than the thick, crispy bacon you’d expect. I asked for my coffee to be substituted with almond milk. They used oat milk, which was perfectly fine, but still not what I asked for. The place was cute. The service was great, but I definitely won’t be back.

Google
Such a great little breakfast/brunch spot! Excellent service and friendly people with that small town hospitality!!! I had the ham and cheese croissant and it didn’t disappoint. The hint of pepper jelly on it gives it that little extra that goes beyond other ham and Swiss. Recommended for locals and visitors!!!

Google
Amtrak stranded us in New Iberia today. Wandered up on this gem. We were met outside by the manager who walked us in to the aroma of fresh coffee and bread, live acoustic guitar playing in the background. The menus is so unique and the food so fresh your body actually thanks you before the first bite. I was asking a patron about her “bowl” and before I knew it a sample was slid in front of me. Kevin had the stuffed waffle (pictured) and I had the avocado blt with a poached egg. I am a connoisseur of this sandwich as I order it EVERY TIME it’s on a menu. This one by far the best! Since we were stranded, the staff took note of our situation and went to work making us feel at home in their town and searching for help. Dee Dee was amazing! She would not stop until she made sure we got taken care of. She even texted us to make sure we got home. What amazing food, and now, new friends!

Yelp
This is a place you have to intentionally walk to, as it's a foot traffic only place. But even the furthest parking lot will take an average pace 3-4 minutes. It's a small place, specializing in coffee prep, small menu, pastries, coming from a small kitchen. All ingredients taste fresh and are made to order, so there will be a wait, but it's worth it. We both had the day's special, which was a breakfast pizza with eggs, cheese, mixture of meats, green onions, cilantro, red and sweet peppers on flatbread. No skimping on ingredients here, and we both took some home. Hubby had French Press coffee, which is a stronger brew. He liked it very much. I chose the Bon Matins which was a latte with white chocolate and brown sugar. Delish! Only negative was that on a busy day, it's a small place, may have to wait outside. Even in the morning in Louisiana, that can be hot. Temp was great today, so a small wait was no problem.

Yelp
Super cute place for breakfast! The ambience was very peaceful. The woman working was very pleasant and helpful. I had a Ham & cheese croissant, which was toasted perfectly, and served with fruit. I will be a repeat customer

Yelp
Service took a lonnnng time for simple breakfast, like I'm talking over an hour. It is a cute little "hole in the wall" type coffee shop and the coffee is actually really good ! Just the timing and service wasn't great. Be prepared to wait if you decide to go

Yelp
This is absolutely the place to go to if you want to enjoy a quiet out-of-the-way and nice and quaint homestyle cooked breakfast if I could leave a 10 stars for the staff, I would leave absolutely 10 out of 10 and the food don't even get me started my wife and I literally drive from Dallas Texas all the way to new Iberia often for family occasions, but we make it a point to stop here and grab breakfast every every single time we come. Matter of fact, we're on our way now. See you there!

Yelp
This hidden gem is literally located in an alley, as the name suggests, but it is totally worth the visit. The food was splendid, and I was really digging the rustic decor of the place. Here's what i ordered: 1. Lizzie cake: Pound cake served with bananas foster or macerated strawberries and ice cream. ITS TO DIE FOR! I would literally come back just for that alone. (Favorite) 2. Breakfast Sandwiches: Choice of bacon, ham, or sausage patty, egg cheddar cheese on a croissant. Simple, fluffy eggs with bacon and crossaint! What more can I say? 3. Homemade red velvet cupcake. 4. Avocado toast. All I have to say is that you gotta try that lizzie cake, asap! #LambChopOnTheGeaux #newiberiala #churchalleycafe #brunch https://churchalley-newiberia.com/ 116 Church Alley, New Iberia, LA 70560

Yelp
Delicious lattes and yummy Sunday brunch! Cute cafe, tucked away in a church alley, hence the name. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Yelp
I ordered craw fish macaroni and sweet potato fries, but I was in for a surprise because that's not what I got. The craw fish macaroni was cold and macaroni wasn't soft and the craw fish was okay and the portion was so small it was for a 3 year old. They gave me potato chips instead so I said okay let me at least give it a try, it was stale I mean all of them were stale. Then I confronted them and waited for 2 hours for my sweet potato fries which came out to be no sweet potato fries but just sweet potatoes with powdered sugar no form just cut out from the potato. It was not bad but it was a long wait that was more horrible . I understand they are short staff but the food being messed up and nasty didn't it make it any better. I don't recommend this place at all it was a waste of my time and money.

Yelp
We went for breakfast after church. It's a cute little bistro. We sat down and ordered fairly quickly. We ordered the regular breakfast, which was a whole grain toast, scrambled eggs, sausage patties. We also ordered something called a 'puffin', which is scrambled eggs and bacon inside a pancake shaped like a muffin with maple syrup drizzled on top. Also ordered 2 fresh drip coffees. Received the coffees promptly and they were very good! But, then the wait started. We sat and sat and sat. After about 45 minutes we asked what was up. Told it would be soon. After another 15 minutes we asked for some water. Our coffee was gone by this time. They let us know at this time that my husbands meal was ready, the sausage, eggs and toast and they included some grits but the 'puffin' was not ready. I told them to go ahead and bring his out. Another 10 minutes went by, his meal was done and here comes the 'puffin'. So, it was really good or maybe I was just starving by this time. Anyway, we ate and left, pretty bummed that we weren't warned how long it was going to take. We wanted to like this place but won't be visiting again. They should have comped something but nope. Customer service goes a long way in situations like this.

Yelp
Powdered eggs, frozen sausage patties and toast shouldn't take an hour to serve. I'm so confused...5 reviews, all positive. I got bad luck. $31 for two drip coffees, muffins under cooked with soft bacon and powdered eggs. I really don't blame the staff and chefs for this. Our world is messed up.

Yelp
Food is delicious and served hot and fresh! Chef personal touches made the meal tasty! Service was personable and ambiance was great! Perfect place to eat and relax!
