Where to Find the Best Fried Chicken in Las Vegas

"While the expansive menu at US Fried Chicken includes burgers, gyro and fried fish, it’s the fried chicken that this restaurant is known for. Served on a platter or in a sandwich, fried chicken is seasoned and hand-battered before being fried for a crunchy outside and tender bite." - Janna Karel

I went to Church's Texas Chicken and it was the best service I have had in a long time. The cashier Sonia was so patient and sweet and took her time even though it was a faced pace environment and even I was struggling with ordering. She was the best cashier service I've ever gotten.

I asked for original they gave me spicy. My food wasn't edible. I don't eat spicy food and the fries and the okra was old. I will never return. A lot of people forgive and forget. Well everything is going up. Rent, food, gas, haircuts, everything is going up. So that forgive and forget s*** expired when they started raising prices on s***. I will never return to any restaurant or place that overcharged me and didn't give me what I paid for. That is the new rule for 2025. Do not go back into that establishment. COMPLETELY SHUT OFF YOUR BUSINESS TO THAT LOCATION. ONE PERSON will not change anything BUT IT STARTS WITH ONE PERSON LEADING THE PACK. OTHERS WILL FOLLOW. If these places, insist on playing customers, THEN SO BE IT.

We came in around 7:50 pm in the dining room and placed our order. Our food took a while to make but when we received it, it was all in a bag. Ok no biggie. I start to take the food out to start eating only for a random employee to ask hey are you dining in? I say yes and he says that the dining room is closed. If that was the case why didn’t any employees warn me of the dining room closing when I had placed my order. I believe he was lying because the front door says it closes at 10 pm. Also our food was not fresh. It tasted warm getting cold. So we waited a bit for old food. This place sucks

I just left this location and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered fried okra and six jalapeño poppers. Despite there being no line, I waited nearly 10 minutes in the drive-thru. When I asked for dipping sauce for my poppers at the window, the man working—who I believe was Hispanic—gave me unnecessary attitude. He stated that the poppers didn’t come with sauce and that he was giving it as a “courtesy.” That wasn’t the issue—I would’ve gladly paid for the sauce if needed. The issue was the dismissive tone. To make matters worse, the okra was far from fresh. It was greasy, overcooked, and tasted burnt. I tried to eat them, but some were so bad I had to spit them out. Then, when I went to eat my poppers, there were only FOUR in the bag—when I paid for SIX. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I expect better service, accurate orders, and fresh food—especially when I’m paying for it. Very disappointing.

Meal was listed as $26.99 on building for a 10 piece leg and thigh with 2 sides. i was charged $28.99 before tax. $31.42 in total. I informed the employee of the price listed on the building however they were willing to honor the price.

Yelp
It's Thursday 6/6/24 at about 6:00 pm. Lots of free parking. Even with all the free there was only one red corvette in the entire parking lot and he felt the need to take two parking stalls at the front door, one of which was a disabled person parking stall. There was some trash in the parking lot. Their sign shows the hours being 10am to 10pm daily. There is a double front door one of which was either locked or broken. Inside there is a carpet mat which was very dirty. Half the tables needed to be wiped and there was trash scattered about the dining room floor and soda station. Both trash containers were full with one over flowing. I was there for an hour and saw both the manager one crew member have their break in the dining room yet no one came to clean. I too sat at a dirty table. While the crew member taking my order did well, they maybe should be more friendly, smile and remember to thank the customers. The food was pack nicely and served up quickly. The chicken was hot, fresh and juicy. The biscuit was also soft and fresh. The food could not have been better. They also have coke products, which I love.

Yelp
Never had Church's. It was suggested by my cousin, and it is delicious! For whatever reason, there was only drive thru on a Saturday at 11:00am. Very nice and helpful staff. The spicy chicken was great and the honey biscuits are bomb!

Yelp
The dining room environment appears to require some attention, though it's worth noting that the food itself was notably delightful. This was my inaugural visit to a Church's Chicken establishment, and I must say, their biscuits surpassed those of KFC, although not quite reaching the level of Popeyes. For my meal, I opted for the two-piece combo, accompanied by coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The overall experience has inclined me toward a potential return visit. It's worth mentioning that Church's Chicken offers a spicy chicken option, which I regrettably did not sample initially due to some reservations stemming from its two-star rating. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its quality, and I would rate the experience a commendable four out of five stars.

Yelp
Churchs chicken location is ok. I never had any problems here. I used to come to this location a lot years ago when I lived in Vegas off of Rainbow and Charlestone. Its a small store location. I ordered some 20 piece chicken meals last time I was here. We sat inside the 5 of us laughing and clowning around. I like the fact they never run out of chicken here. No bathrooms for customers here. That's the only problem. Nice people great service. I miss coming here . Feels good to visit.

Yelp
Always been a big fan of church's chicken loved it since I was a kid so whenever I crave for it or in the mood for it I usually go to the spring mountain and Decatur location or I'll go to this location. Never really been inside this location as I always frequent the drive thru. But the times I did order through drive thru never had a issue as the service has always been good and the food most times then not when I visited thos location has always been fresh. So a on the service my only gripe really is the parking lot and drive thru its so hard to navigate In and out since everything is connected together so your going to have a hard time getting in and out. Overall I love this church's chicken location to me it's one of the better ones in las vegas along with the spring mountain and Decatur location.

Yelp
I'm definitely giving Church's Chicken more love on Yelp then pretty much anyone reviewing this place. Fast food chains tend to get the crap end of the stick on this site thanks to people really only reviewing fast food places when they are unhappy, so here's a positive experience from my first trip to this location and my first time ordering actual fried chicken from this place. I stopped here last night when I needed a quick dinner that was cheap and close to home. I ordered a 3 piece fried chicken combo with french fries as well as a chicken sandwich because I just had to try it. The chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious and way better then I ever expected. The chicken itself was large and juicy while the mayo and buns topped this tasty sandwich off. The fried chicken itself wasn't as flavourful as Kentucky Fried Chicken or Popeye's, but it was juicy and still had a nice but light flavour to it. The french fries were standard crinkle cut and even though I didn't love them, they were fine. The icing on the cake? whatever the roll is that this place serves is super moist, super tasty, and I'm honestly thinking about going to grab one right now. Overall, Church's Chicken definitely deserves to be in the fast food chicken race and has some quality service and food to go with it. This located treated me well and I will absolutely be stopping by in the future for some more.

Yelp
This place has really gone to hell they're always serving overcooked old food. The last two times I went there. The chicken was so disgusting. I just threw it away. They have a bunch of kids working there at night. They clearly don't give a shit about the experience. They were nice taking the order, but that's about it. None of the food was fresh. All of it smelled like the grease hadn't been changed. It was overcooked dry. The color was all wrong. I took one bite and spit it out today. I don't know who the manager is but they need to get better or at least care or quit. I'm pretty sure those things have timers that tell you how long something needs to cook I shouldn't have to order fresh chicken every single time I come and wait 30 minutes for it just to have a decent meal. Utterly disgusted.

Yelp
Nowadays, when you go to chicken, fast food, places and restaurants, the chicken is either old and hard meat. Tasteless or other issues with Greece churches is a place that we used to frequent in Chicago under the previous owners and was very greasy, but was always a good chicken tasting now it's been elevated to a much better taste and all-around product. Highly recommend this business and a couple locations. We've been to this one the most recent very good chicken good service worth the trip.

Yelp
My one cheat day & I was craving fried chicken, so we hit up Church's. Hubby wanted to try their version of the spicy crispy chicken sandwich & I wanted chicken! There were 2 cars ahead of us in the drive through and it took almost 20 minutes to get our order. By the time we got home everything was just...wrong. The chicken was dried out. The fries were soggy. The Dr. Peppers lacked syrup & the mashed potatoes were cold. My biscuit was also rock hard. Very weird visit for sure. 2 stars because my husband actually enjoyed his sandwich and didn't find it to be too spicy.

Yelp
My husband and I go here a lot. The food is always good and hot. The people are always great. Who ever made the biscuits tonight, they were the best I have ever tasted!!

Yelp
Love Church's Chicken. Also love the fried okra and mash and gravy. That's alway my go to

Yelp
I hadn't had Church's Chicken for a long time. Don't really know why. But it was so great!!! OMG!!! The chicken was moist and delicious!! The okra, superb!!! Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent!!! Thank you so much!!! We will be ordering again.

Yelp
The manager has tried 4 months t hre new employees inally has a great crew!!!!!! Thanks so much

Jackie Z.

Yelp
The manager Sonia is trash. Over works her employees. The chicken isn't changed, the sandwich chicken is barely ever fresh. Very incompetent manager that doesn't know how to run a business, and it affects the whole building.

Yelp
Giving this location a 1 because it's never open as advertised. It is disappointing when a location posts signs on their drive thru window at 9pm stating will be back tomorrow, highly unprofessional.
google avatar

Yelp
Church's Chicken is just terrible when it comes to customer service and closing. This location closed an hour earlier. So I drove there and wasted time. Just unacceptable, I won't spend my money here anymore, it's just not worth the inconvenience.

Victor H.

Yelp
Bad service!!!! Drive thru girl I guess she thought she was hanging with her homies and forgot she was supposed providing a service while getting paid an hourly wage. I called the store and spoke to a Mgr as soon as I pulled out of drive thru and told him how rude she was. Got home...FLAVORLESS CHICKEN..... NO MARINADE. I guess they ran out of marinaded chicken and started frying chicken RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. RAINBOW AND SPRING MOUNTAIN is the only Vegas location that has the best CHURCHES chicken.... never received chicken from R&SM that did not have the church's flavor. DO NOT BUY FROM CHARLESTON CHURCHES CHICKEN.... go to Rainbow/Spring Mountain Churches (you will be glad you did) V

Yelp
Let me start by saying I love(d) Church's chicken. I'm going to try to not make one bad experience steer me away from ever going back but most likely it won't be this location. So, Sunday evening 2/24/19. I had a craving and decided on chicken. Ordered and paid for the food for my boyfriend and I, no problem. Get home and eat separate orders because I like spicy and he doesn't, no problem. Go to bed and go to work the next day and can barely make it through my next shift without running to the bathroom. Throughout my 8 hour shift I probably spent a total of 45 mins in the bathroom. I get home and asked my boyfriend about his day as he was using the restroom and he told me this is the first time he hadn't felt sick all day and that he even wasted himself in his underwear trying to get to the restroom. I finally put two and two together and figure it had to be the Church's chicken. I call the location and the manager had no care and just told me to get a report from the doctor. She also stated no one else got sick. So now that the diarrhea is gone we'll see what happens in a few hours ?

Yelp
I went on a Friday night and although the sign says they close at 10 they were closed at 9:50 pm so that pissed me off. Went back the next day because I had a major craving for some fried okra and it was so fresh and the chicken was just right with the hot sauce I added to it. The only time I'd attend this location is right when they open so I know for sure it is fresh and they won't turn me away before they actual closing time.

Myra H.

Yelp
I'm giving Churches Chicken (W. Charleston, Las Vegas) a big fat NEGATIVE. Everything in this meal was awful. I love Churches but somebody in charge is definitely not watching the store. The Mac and Cheese is burnt, potatoes were room temperature and the Chicken wasn't fresh. What's even worse was spending $26 and then having to fix my family something else to eat.
google avatar

Rebeca S.

Yelp
I usually love churches chicken but I just picked some up from this location the day before yesterday and this food did not sit right with me. I ate the food at 8pm woke up at 4am throwing up the food I ate. I had food poisoning all day yesterday day, which has steered me away from coming back to this place again. On top of that, it seems like there a bunch of immature children working here. The kid in the drive thru thought I was funny to use accents while assisting me with my order. If one of the workers thinks it's okay to screw around and have fun on the job, I'm sure all those little kids in there think it's okay too, which is why I will not be returning.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
I got there and order my food, got to the window, gave the girl my card, she charged me then told me that she was going to have me park because they we're going to be making a fresh batch of chicken strips. I gave her a confused look bc I was so thrown off. Ok, first of all should you ask the customer if they want to wait? What if they were on a time church and couldn't wait that long? Any who, to park, you seriously had to leave the location and make a u turn to come back or go around some street, that alone, stressed me out because there was a lot of traffic coming both ways. So made a u turn and I parked and waited around 15 min. I got supper annoyed and decided to get down and cancel my order. As soon as I walked in they were putting the condiments in the bag so I just kept the order. So... I get home and served myself on a plate and come to realize that my Mac n Cheese was all burnt. Then I open the chicken strips box and they look off so I thought it was probably me but once I tried a piece my chicken was NOT COOKED ALL THE WAY! It was rubbery and nasty! Lucky, we didn't get food poising! I seriously had to throw away all the chicken strips. Save yourself some money and time and DO NOT COME HERE!

Yelp
I dont usually eat fast food when it comes to fried chicken but for some reason I was craving it and this was the closest fried chicken place to me. I ordered a 12 piece family meal with mash potatoes and fries as my sides and I also ordered 4 jalepenos to eat with it as well. My order came with honey biscuits as well. Everything was good but my only issues were the chicken was greasy and some had too much fat on it. It taste awesome when you eat it with the jalepenos or ketchup. They gave me a small fry instead of the large fry that was supposed to come with my meal. The mash potatoes were good and the biscuits were really good. I ordered through doordash so Im not sure how the dining area is but I do know that they have a drive thru just from passing by in the area one day. Uhm I would just say if you want to try it then go for it, its decent.

Alyssa J.

Yelp
if i could give it a one star, i would. the GM, sonia ramos, had talked to me about my order and said it's my fault my order was wrong when i ordered spicy chicken but it was served as original flavor, said that i need to make a complaint following the QR code on the back of the receipt, but couldn't promise be a remake or something along those lines. like how don't you know what your corp office would offer? what kind of general manager would disregard my order that was made wrong? blamed it all on me. my s/o and i were civil until she got hostile and refused to help us when we provided a receipt (which was asked for) i've spoken to her not once, but twice about it and didn't want to do anything to help even after i had gotten my s/o involved. i even told i didn't wanna go thru corp because it wasn't that serious but she made it that serious. i spent almost $30 on TWO combos and she didn't want to assist. if i could give this place a 0, i would but she's lucky it won't let me give her a 0 rating. i paid $23. and 47 cents i believe for 2 whole combos that were made wrong. unbelievable. i even called Joe at the spring valley location and he even said that what sonia is doing, is not right because i was able to provide my recipes plus my bank statement for proof of purchase. so i will not be giving my business to church's anymore and i will recommend popeyes instead. way better customer service than this trash of a place. don't ever go to this location, they don't give a shit about you.

Yelp
From 6/10/15 Okay, this was my first time trying Churches Chicken so I will start with the positive. Pro: Holy wow, their biscuits are delicious! I was not expecting some of the flavors that came off of the biscuits, it was actually sweet- like they had a honey butter drizzle on them. Con: The chicken tenders were sort of rubbery, and a bit too salty for my taste. Pro: The fries were good, fresh, and crispy in a good way. If I ever come, here again, it will more than likely be for the fries and the biscuits, or maybe I just need to give some of their other chicken meals a try- well see...

Paul L.

Yelp
Spring Mtn Location in Las Vegas is very good. Charleston location--very poor. About a month ago, my order was short. I tried it again today (3/12/19) & one order had no cole slaw and the 2nd order had no fries or cole slaw. Food good, but was short 3 items.

Ernice C.

Yelp
I wish there was a way of giving this restaurant a negative star. I'm from California and the Church's chicken there is quick, flavorful and the crew members are very professional. My husband and I are new to the area and drove about 5 miles to this one after a long day of home repairs. Placed my order and was told I'd have to wait 45 minutes for white meat meat chicken. After sitting for a few minutes I noticed the order was for dark meat only. Went back to the counter to correct it and was told it would be extra time even though it was the the young mans fault during the ordering process. He then came out and asked me if I'd take dark meat instead of white because it would be four more minutes before the white meat would be done. Upon my telling him I'm patient and not the type that would yell for his mistakes, he had the nerve to reply that he wouldn't care because he'd be yelling back at me, head shakes and all. I wish I was an undercover boss because I would've cleaned house last night and everyone of the would be fired. From the guy who took the order, the head shaker, the second one who left my card on the counter unattended, the one who did the cooking because the chicken was bland. The best thing in our order was the cole slaw. Don't waste your time with this place!
google avatar

Yelp
I am only putting one star because I can not put zero. This place is a mess and I can't review the food because we never even got to try it. After being ignored for nearly five minutes as the "crew" fooled around in the back of the restaurant, two people walked up and completely ignored us. They would not even make eye contact with us. After a few more minutes of waiting for someone to acknowledge us, we walked out. Fabulous customer service Church's!!!!!!!

Yelp
The deals here are impressive, that is for sure. Very cheap. The chicken is tasty. And so are the biscuits, which no healthy human should be consuming, but what the hell -- one has to splurge sometimes, I suppose. And this area does not offer much for fast food options with chicken as the primary focus (Cane's nearby, Farm Basket far away, and BFG/Strip N Dip even farther away), or anything really at Church's price-point. Stuff like a shrimp basket with french fries for 3.59$, the so-called "Big Tex" for 2.49$, and biscuits for 50¢ ea.; manager's special of five chicken strips and two biscuits for 5$; et al. So, why the two stars, E? I do not know: I have experienced better. It is a really dirty restaurant. I have seen "animals" that should be "restricted" scurrying about. I have also been to New York City, so it does not make it prohibitive or forbidden to me, but for fuck's sake .... On the latest SNHD inspection (http://www.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/restaurants/inspections.php), they are rocking the infamous Violation 16, which is exactly what my star deductions are based on ... for those unfamiliar ("pest control"). SNHD still inexplicably permits them, as well as other eateries, to maintain an "A" grade even with the suspect V-16. Something to keep in mind for those that believe the giant black "A" on the piece of white paper comes with a level of certainty that fuckery like this will not be afoot. - E

Yelp
Very unprofessional crew in the morning food was missing and cashier was very rude! The night crew is awesome but it's literally something wrong with the day shift! They gave me the wrong food and they didn't put everything in my bag

Yelp
I shouldn't even give it one star I got food poisoning for this piece of shit place now I'm at the doctor cause the pain won't go away ugh
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
I love the chicken but the service is really slow!!! It takes 20 minutes to put in an order and another 10 minutes to wait during lunch time. The drive thru is way faster.
google avatar

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Sat in drive through and ordered. When I reached the window, woman seemed nice enough, took my card and ran it. Took her a few minutes to bring me back my card. When she came back with it, she was giggling and told me there was a sign on the drive thru menu that stated they were taking cash only as their card services were down. Not only was there no such sign, but why in the world would she take my card to run it if she already knew there was a problem? Funny because it was my first time coming back in about 12 years because I had a hankering for some fried okra. Maybe I'll give them another chance in 12 years or so.

Tim M.

Yelp
I went here and waited in line for almost 30 minutes and didn't get my biscuits with my order. so i went back and tried calling 4 times and no one would answer the phone. so i had to wait in line at drive thru again to get my biscuits because the lobby is closed. Total waste of time and i probably won't be going back.

Yelp
This place is okay.. Went inside to order take out. Took about 15-20 min to have my order ready. The chicken was great nice fresh hot and juicy! Everything was great except my jalapeño bombers and chicken sandwich which was a bummer! The jalapeño bombers taste like it's been sitting out the cheese inside was dried out... Biting in to it the cheese didn't burst out like it usually do when it's fresh it was just hard. The chicken sandwich was boo boo nothing exciting... It used to taste better back in the days when it was just a regular bun, mayo, pickles and a piece of chicken tender. Now they make it with a fake frozen chicken patty. The inside is dirty and sloppy. Caps and straw wraps all on the counter. No one wiped the tables, I don't think I ever dined anywhere where you would need a key to use the restroom. It just feels unsanitary when you come inside.

David S.

Yelp
I hate these rouge locations that close early, it's 930. This store has a two star rating for a reason. I'm only writing a review to warn people, as the store owner and GM clearly don't care, based on prior reviews.

Sammi D.

Yelp
This location literally always closes an hour early. Didn't think much of it the first time, just thought it was technical difficulties, but it has happened 3 times now and every time I am at farmer boys next door after 9 there are 0 cars in sight. Today we went at 8:44pm and the cashier said there wasn't any customers for an hour so manager said to close early and we were the last customers... that's funny because we were just next door in the drive thru and saw like 5 cars in their drive thru. Lazy management

Yelp
Went into this location 5 days ago and ordered 28.00 family meal and gave the cashier 40.00 got change and waited 10 minutes for her tell me that they are out of regular chicken. They only have spicy. I asked how long before next batch of regular chicken is done. She replied there was more at 745 on a Friday?????? So my hubby starts growling for refund. To get rid of us she gave me a full 40.00 refund.... so yes i made money on the trip thats worth the star. Other than that will opt for other location to eat

Mike T.

Yelp
I had to give one star because it wouldnt accept a zero. Went through the drive through and ordered their special. Person i bought it for said the chicken wasnt cooked. Called Churches and spoke to the manager. SHE SAID SHE COULDNT DO ANYTHING FOR ME WITHOUT THE RECEIPT. It was in the package with the inedible chicken. I was wondering why it took so long so he served chicken that wasnt done. Unacceptable! !! You think im trying to get free chicken? No more of my business anymore. I spent a lot of money here in the past but im sure there are other establishments that will take my money and offer better service. Churches, check your manager at the West Charleston store. I hate Churches now.

Noel M.

Yelp
My family and I were craving good chicken last night so we drove 6miles to this Church's location. Got there at 9:20pm thinking we had 40mins before the restaurant closed for the day. Saw that there was still chicken in the warming bin but door of restaurant was locked. The staff inside would not let us in. Told her website says they don't close until 10pm. She said they closed at 9pm and would not explain why. Ended up going to KFC and had a great dinner just the same. Church's was a major disappointment and will never come back to this location or any Church's location ever again.

Nice and clean. Cashier well groomed and friendly. Its been said not healthy. I will indulge every once and awhile. Excellent price for the quantity. Definitely hot food. Blow before eating definitely the mash potatoes. Sweet tea

Yelp
I usually love church's chicken but my experience here was unacceptable. I know hat I ordered and my receipt is my witness. They didn't give me what my order asked for and then they were missing parts of my order. They are stingy with their condiments. We repeatedly had to go up to the counter and ask for what was not given to us.

Yelp
First and last time at Churchs. I placed my order and waited, the place was packed with people waiting. After 25 minutes they called a number 5 past mine, I asked the manager running the register where was mine? She responded with can you see we are busy. I said you did not call my number but the 5 behind me got food. She looked at the orders and realized mine was never put up. No apology nothing. I will definitely recommend my friends stay away from this place.

Yelp
I've literally never been treated worse in my life. I've come in here twice and both times it took a century for them to even notice that I was standing there. They would look at me and just walk past me and continue what they were doing. They wouldn't even smile. They just look at you and pretend you're not there. After I ordered, I stood there waiting for twenty minutes and watched as person after person approached the counter and was treated the exact same way. When I said something about my long wait, the lady cut me off and pretended like she hadn't heard anything I just said. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME THING THE LADY DID THE FIRST TIME when she charged me twice for one meal and I tried to bring it to her attention. These ladies have no idea how to serve people and the whole restaurant was full of people complaining because they were being completely ignored and no one was even making their food. Someone needs to notice what terrible employees these chicks are because I've never seen so many angry people in one store at once in my life.

Yelp
Came here because of their great deal! 2 pieces chicken and biscuit for 1.99. It's in a sketchy part of town, but the service was good. Usually most fast food places the service is horrible, but this one had great service! Better than a sit down restaurant! I am a huge fan of the honey butter biscuits! They are soooo delicious!!! Wish they still had church's in Hawaii

Yelp
Whenever me and my brother go Church's; their chicken has been very fresh so far. This includes their food not being salty. It always been hot so far. The customer service is good also. They always offer us a drink while we wait. Keep up the good work Churh 's.
