"Fast-casual meets Indian classics at Morrisville’s Chutney’s. Take the carryout specials for instance — there’s a literal bucket of biryani, with protein options of paneer, chicken (in three different styles), and goat. There are also weekday double entree deals, family meals, and more. A sizable Indo-Chinese menu offers things like Szechuan paneer noodles or chicken 65 fried rice. Chutney’s also has a breakfast menu with Indian morning staples like idly (a style of rice cake), vada (lentil flour doughnuts), dosa, and uttapam." - Matt Lardie

Had a wonderful dinner with my family tonight at Triangles Biryani. The food was absolutely delicious — my wife and kids loved every bite! The team went the extra mile by organizing a special complimentary welcome drink and dessert for Mother’s Day, which made the evening even more memorable. My wife was truly delighted with the thoughtful gesture. Great food, warm hospitality, and a lovely family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dine in experience today with the special dishes like cooker pulav(mutton) , mirapa gopi fry and jhalapeno chicken appetizers with subtle aroma spices. Staff (Sonu) was very attentive while choosing the menu.

Absolutely love this place! The Vepudu Gobhi, Kadhai Paneer, and Paneer Tikka Masala are full of flavor and always hit the spot. The naans are thin, crispy, and just perfect with the curries. It’s such a refreshing addition to the Triangle food scene—something we needed around here. If you’re dining in, definitely try the Cooker Pulav and the non-veg tandoor platter— my friends rave about them. I always ask Sonu at the bar to make me an Old Fashioned, and he gets it just right every single time. The staff is friendly, the service is smooth, and the vibe is always welcoming. I keep coming back—not because I promote the place, but because I genuinely love the food and the overall experience. It’s always a great visit. Highly recommend checking it out!

Had lunch here today. Got the vegetarian and non vegetarian thali both tasted amazing. Very affordable too. Tasty and doesn't put a hole in your pocket . Highly recommend this place. Good and fast service. Tried dinner here today, what a great service and food. The cooker mutton pulavo was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! I visited this restaurant while in town for a temple visit, and I'm so glad I did. The food was exceptional. Every dish was bursting with flavor. The jalapeno chicken had the perfect kick, the mirapa gobi was a revelation, and the Haleem and cooker goat pulav were incredibly satisfying. And don't even get me started on the apricot delight – a perfect sweet ending! 5 stars all the way.

On our recent trip to Morrisville, North Carolina, my family and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Triangles Biryani and I can say without hesitation, it was one of the most unforgettable dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, everything about the restaurant impressed us. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful designs on tables and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. The service was attentive, friendly, and top-notch, every detail was taken care of with genuine hospitality. The drinks were truly exceptional and unlike anything we’ve had at an Indian restaurant. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and to my delight, it was smoked right at our table an elegant touch that added to the experience. The flavor was rich and bold, perfectly balanced. My wife’s Strawberry Margarita was equally impressive, fresh, vibrant, and masterfully crafted. These weren’t just drinks; they were experiences. And then came the food, absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the Mirapa Kodi (Chicken), Goat Haleem, and Mutton Biryani, and each dish was an explosion of authentic Hyderabadi flavor. The spice, texture, and aroma were spot-on. Every bite was deeply satisfying, transporting us straight back to Hyderabad. The Cooker Pulav was also a delightful surprise comforting, flavorful, and a perfect addition to the meal. Even though we were full, we couldn’t resist the desserts. We tried the Kaddu Ka Kheer, Apricot Delight, and Khubani Meetha all of which were divine. These traditional Hyderabadi sweets are hard to find, and Triangles Biryani has perfected them with love and authenticity. As someone with a Hyderabadi background, I was genuinely moved by the quality and care put into every dish. This place is not just serving food. it’s preserving tradition and delivering a piece of home to those who miss it most. Triangles Biryani is hands-down the best Indian restaurant we’ve visited in the United States. From food to service to ambiance, everything is five-star. If you’re looking for true Hyderabadi cuisine, this is the place. We’ll be returning every time we visit North Carolina and bringing friends and family along!

I came for a solo dinner night, and I am very impressed. The food is authentic and delicious, the service is TOP-NOTCH, and the cocktails are the best I've had in Morrisville since I moved here last year. The the Old Fashioned is a must; It's lovely and it has a bit of a twist (I won't spoil the surprise here 🙂) For my entree I had the Goat Josh Rogan with rosemary naan on the side. My naan was some of the best I've ever had. This is an excellent place for a weeknight dinner, a first date, a feast with a group of friends, or a meal with the whole family. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Edit: I've returned for additional visits and it's the same every time. Excellent service, killer menu, and delicious cocktails. I set up a first date here a few weeks ago; we're still seeing each other and she's out of my league, so there must be something special about this place 😅

A Hidden Gem in the Triangle! The ambience is warm, welcoming, and beautifully done — it sets the perfect tone for a relaxing meal. I’ve tried the chicken pakoda, pressure cooker goat pulav, and vijaywada chicken biryani all of them were beyond amazing — packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and felt like a comforting home-cooked dish with a gourmet twist. And the apricot delight for dessert? Pure heaven! Sweet, rich, and so refreshing — it’s a must-try. On top of all that, the service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. If you're a fan of soulful food, soothing atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality, this place is a must-visit!

Yelp
Visited Chutneys on a Friday evening, my family and I were the only ones in the restaurant. After being seated, we had water bottles placed on our table (they do not serve water in glasses). We were unknowingly charged for this bottled water - not a big charge, but something we didn't expect as it was just placed on our table with no mention of the charge. Food was great - we ordered the butter chicken, pakoras, samosa chaat, and saag paneer. The saag was some of the best I've had in a long time. The downside - it took almost 1.5 hours to have all of our food served to us, even though we were the only ones there for a while. If you're with friends/family that can keep you company, it's not too bad (with an appetizer on the table, though). I'd come back again, but probably for takeout rather than dining in.

Yelp
i had been to chutneys before to try their breakfast, which was not very good. however their dinner menu is much different and i wanted to give them another chance, and i'm glad i did! i ordered the szechuan paneer noodles and the saag chhole with tandoori roti. the noodles were excellent! i really liked them. if you have a mild palate though, i recommend specifying that because i said medium and it was still pretty spicy. the saag chhole was also really good, but there was soooo much oil on the dish that we had to drain out a bit before digging in. 2 stars for the breakfast, 4 for this meal - i averaged! but i would definitely order takeout from here again for dinner.

Yelp
Recently dined at this place serving North Indian and South Indian food along with bar. Tried their chettinad masala dosa, biryani, vada sambhar and veg korma with Parantha. Everything was decent but little spicy, so just request your server to make it less spicy. The chettinad dosa had so much chettinad spice that it over powered flavours of other ingredients. Portion size was really good. The service was well on time. The ambiance is a casual one. The menu has good snack options as well. Free parking available in the complex.

Yelp
Food was DELICIOUS and came out quick. 10/10 would highly recommend and if I am back in the area, I will definitely go again. Our waiter was so nice and very attentive. The restaurant is very pretty, clean and welcoming. I loved the flower selfie area at the front by the bar.

Yelp
I recently visited Chutney's with high hopes for their buffet, considering my previous positive experiences at the restaurant. However, this particular visit left me feeling disappointed and questioning the value of the $24.99 price tag. The quality of the food significantly declined, and it was evident that the dishes were not made fresh as they had been in the past. One of the key aspects that drew me to Chutney's in the past was the delightful freshness and vibrant flavors of their dishes. Sadly, this time around, the buffet offerings seemed lackluster and lacked the quality I had come to expect. It was clear that the food had been sitting out for a while, resulting in a noticeable decline in taste and texture. Service-wise, the staff at Chutney's was friendly and accommodating as always. However, their efforts could not compensate for the disappointing quality of the food. The restaurant's ambiance remained pleasant, but the subpar buffet experience overshadowed any positive aspects. Considering the price of $24.99 for the buffet, I expected a higher level of quality and satisfaction. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to my expectations or justify the cost. I left Chutney's feeling dissatisfied and regretful of my decision to opt for the buffet. While I have enjoyed Chutney's in the past, this particular experience was a letdown. I hope that the restaurant takes note of the decline in food quality and considers making improvements to regain the level of excellence they once had. Until then, I cannot recommend the buffet at Chutney's, as it simply does not live up to its price tag and fails to deliver the vibrant and flavorful dining experience I had previously enjoyed.

Yelp
Very good delivery Vindaloo, but that, na'an, and rice was $30. Next time I'll just go there and eat it pick it up.

Mallikarjuna P.

Yelp
I have been visiting this place very often. Every-time I visited I wasn't disappointed by the quality and consistency of the food. Thanks chef

Al W.

Yelp
The food was good - but in a neighborhood where there are 2 Indian restaurants on every corner that's just not compelling. The Saag was the best of what we got, but they don't have either lamb or goat saag so we had to settle for chicken. And the service was rough as well - only one server for the whole dining room. Save yourself the trip.

Vini E.

Yelp
Visited the restaurant again today and wow they've changed their exterior, the decor, seating and overall ambience is so good now. Food and service seem to have gotten better too. Today we got the usual mango lassi for my son with plain utthappam. Uthappam was soft and portion size was really decent. He couldn't finish it so we helped him at the end. My husband got the chicken 65 with fried rice, it was really tasty, especially the fried rice. Chicken chukka was also very flavorful. I'm really satisfied with the portion to price ratio! I recommend this restaurant.... Also parking is never an issue and it's conveniently located

Yelp
Wanted to try their buffet but the experience was overall very disappointing. First the good part 1. The staff was friendly and courteous. They were really trying to run a good operation but were unable to handle the rush period appropriately. So there were many pissed off customers. 2. There were some items in the buffet that tasted good. The briyanis (egg, chicken) and tandoori gobi were very good. Mutton briyani was not bad. The bad part 1. It first started with them quoting a very unreal waiting time of 15 mins while the actual wait was between 45 mins to 60 mins. They were basically quoting 15 mins to everyone, to keep people waiting but real wait time was way longer. It was obvious watching them while waiting that they were quoting wrong time on purpose to just keep people from going somewhere else. 2. Overall buffet Items were basic and the only sweet was kesari. For a $25 buffet would expect much more. 3. For a large part of the time items were not filled. When certain items are not there during key times, can't eat a proper meal. For example there we're literally 2 pieces of tandoori gobi when we started the buffet and I took one of them. It was tasty but it was never filled during our entire time at the buffet. When we were almost done they filled it with fried gobi. Totally different dish ! Only seafood item was tilapia fry which was basic. When I called them and asked about items, they mentioned Pompret masala fry, but we realized that was clearly wrong information when we actually went there. Will not try buffet here again, maybe stick to take out of specific dishes.

Yelp
We wanted an early dinner before going for a party in Durham, NC, this place happened to be in the neighborhood. We ordered chilly fish and chettinad chicken, and both dishes were delicious! The service was great, very courteous staff and the ambience was just right - somewhere in between casual and fine dining. Definitely recommend this place !

Rahul V.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant buffet and food is pathetic.Every item starting for live dosa to chicken appetizers, fish,Goat curry and count rice is full of greasy & oil and could be overnight food . They are charge 24.99 for this and I don't recommend this restaurant at all . Stay away and be safe

Sibi C.

Yelp
Best food ever !!! If you are in Raleigh you have to visit CHUTNEYS !!!! Service is really good . And the best part is the weekend BUFFET's.

Vignesh T.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant - had a large party here last week and it was a great experience. My favorite part was how all the food on the menu consistently tasted great. The chili chicken was my #1 favorite- perfect ratio of sweet, spicy and savory. The portion sizes were extremely satisfying. For my main course, I ordered the tandoori chicken which was a delight. I personally thought it was a little too wet (I thought tandoori chicken is usually on the drier side) but that didn't compromise the taste. The service here is top notch. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The waiters and even the owner regularly checked up on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction- very nice people as well. It was getting a little hot at one point and the owner offered to adjust the air conditioning right away. Big fan of the ambience as well. Good light, comfortable seating and overall cozy vibe.

Indra S.

Yelp
This place is great and a must visit for all Biryani lovers! The food was delicious and comes with generous potions. We ordered hyderabadi Chicken dum biriyani, chicken 65 and chicken lollipop. Extremely pleased. Will definitely visit again!

Moyeen H.

Yelp
I tried the Mysore masala dosa for weekend breakfast. I liked it. My son ordered their chocolate dosa. The filling inside the dosa is Nutella. he loved it and I don't disagree with the innovative fusion :) Looks like they opened very recently so the services/timings are not very organized yet. That should get better soon.

Lalitha V.

Yelp
I had an early morning doctor appointment so we ended up here right after that because this place is open for early breakfast on Friday, Saturday & Sundays. We got a to go from this place previously and this us the first time actually visiting the restaurant. This used to be Saffron restaurant earlier which now became Chutneys with new management. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Pongal. 100 points to the mysore masala dosa and 50 points to the pongal because it was missing salt. Loved their chutneys and sambar. I can say I found my perfect dosa place in the triangle finally! Super crispy dosas did not disappoint at all! I was too hungry to click pictures, may be next time!

Michele W.

Yelp
Food was excellent! Looking forward to going back. We had a variety of meat and vegetarian items.

Prasad V.

Yelp
Ordered take out here multiple times in the last few weeks. The paneer tikka kabobs are excellent and their vegetable biryani was great too. The portion sizes are very good. It's in the same place as where saffron Indian restaurant was and under new ownership. It is definitely a must try if you haven't.

Janki P.

Yelp
I got the Mysore masala dosa. Dosa was good, sambar was good, both the chutneys I didn't like. Portion size of dal is better than most places. Overall, food was good, but probably would be even better eating there when it's fresh.

Rob H.

Yelp
This is my 1st five rating for a good reason: AWESOME food! Their samosas rock. I've been on a Chicken Vindaloo kick... nice and spicy

Mansee J.

Yelp
Luke warm madras coffee; 20 min to get seated; another 10 for taking order; whopping 45 min before our simple dosa order comes out. The order itself was tasty and hence 3 stars.

Himanshu A.

Yelp
If all you want to taste is chilli in every single item you want to eat, this is the place to be. Bland taste in all the South Indian dishes we ordered. I recommend not going here, unless you want your stomach to burn like fire.

Anil G.

Yelp
We had Mutton and Chicken biryani, fish fry, Some chicken curry, Garlic naan. We don't want to order again and everything is tasteless. But for sure, I don't order mutton biryani as pieces are very bad and not well cooked. They should make better curry and authentic we feel. Don't recommend

sd iz d.

Yelp
Restaurant has a very nice ambience and located in a convenient location on Davis Dr. Our favorite item was Mirapa Gobi (Spicy Cauliflower) and gets a 10/10 for flavor, spice level (medium) and taste. This was the first ever experience with this item and will order it again or visit this place just to have Mirapa Gobi. Service is awesome and gets five stars for courtesy and quick turn around. Awesome experience overall and exceeded all expectations.

Ani S.

Yelp
DO NOT GO THERE !! (unless you like FOOD POSINING with Expired Food they sell) We had ordered few different dishes (Mixed Vegetable, Dal Makhni etc) for dinner on 5th Sept'22 and 2 of them were apparently expired dishes the restaurant had reheated and given us. The kid who ate them ended up having food poisoning and we and the guests spent night at the hospital.

Joy M.

Yelp
The food was delicious - my husband said it was the best Indian food he had ever eaten. The service was decent but I would definitely say they don't seem as concerned with service as having delicious food. The place was crazy crowded so maybe they were just running behind but they didn't bring plates or utensils. The table next to us got up and went and got their own plates. The air must have been broken because it was super hot inside. They turned in a rotating fan beside our table that kept blowing our napkins away, then the fan broke and fell over. Pretty comical. So good great everything else a little crazy.

Vinutha V.

Yelp
One of the best Dosa I've had in the triangle area. Husband and friends ordered biriyani and other dosa's and said everything tasted really good. Only thing that I didn't like was the spice level. All the biriyani's and appetizers were super spicy! Being someone that can't tolerate spicy food, I couldn't really eat them. Excellent service!

manesh r.

Yelp
Food is not good, served decayed food, one of staff member mentioned it is because of garlic paste but it is clearly decayed food, not a good experience

Aashima M.

Yelp
To go order review - flavorful Chana masala (one of the best I had), same can say for malai kofta (not on the sweeter end so I loved it), very okaish paneer kadhai (don't think will order again). Would definitely want to try their other items on the menu!

Saira J.

Yelp
Tried this place twice now. First time (in February ) via doordash - the family breakfast option - 5* - 2 masala dosa, 4 huge idli, 4 vada plus delicious chutneys . Second time (in April) , pickup - Puri and potato masala (sooo good), Vada (ordered 4, got 3 - this time the vada has shrunk from our previous experience) , chutneys (tomato -still good, coconut - was watered down ) . Will definitely try them again and see if they're keeping up the initial excitement or dwindling like most Indian restaurants around here.

Rupendra R.

Yelp
Great place for south Indian breakfast. Must try their breakfast combos on weekends. Many varieties of appetizers for those who love spicy starters. Loved it

Sanjay G.

Yelp
Good restaurant.. The food was freshly cooked and tasted well. I loved their masala lemonade soda (Jaljira powdered, sprite and lemonade)- it was on the website but I had to ask for it wasn't on the printed menu. I was surprised they said no to dosas or uttapam - they said those are breakfast items. It is a south indian restaurant, so i assumed these will be there all day menu and our visit was planned for those items specifically. Also they said they couldn't make madras coffee. But it nevertheless we stayed and enjoyed what they had. So took a star for limited menu for our visit. But overall a good place. While the furniture feels basic but it doesn't feel stuffy like the prior restaurant at that location felt. The owners seems like don't give the tips to waiters as the waiter said to pay the tip in cash.

Samantha W.

Yelp
Came here quite a few times now and the food is so good! My go-to order is goat biryani. The goat is tender and the food is packed with flavor. I have also tried the goat curry and chicken 65. Both are packed with flavor and have the perfect balance of flavor. I have also ordered onion dosa from here and it's a perfect option for when you don't want a huge meal! I highly recommend the biryanis (chicken & goat)! Staff is also super friendly and helpful if you have any questions!

Deepa C.

Yelp
Food and service was great. Ordered chicken Biryani which was very spicy (they need to lower the spice level) and they didn't even ask us what level of spicy we wanted. Dosa was tasty and very large. Chutneys were amazing. The only downside to this place is the cleanliness. The bathrooms were horrible. Wouldn't even give it a 1/10 it was literally a 0. the trashcan was overflowing with paper towels and it was all over the floor. There were no toilet paper rolls in the stalls. Maybe thats why more people chose to eat outside instead of inside the restaurant

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
We ordered takeout, and the service was courteous and quick. We ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. It was delicious- just the right spice for is and lovely flavor. Portions were generous. We will definitely be back and try dining in next time.

Pankaj S.

Yelp
Say open and no signs. There was no one to greet and when we approached her she had an attitude and responded in a not so friendly manner. I am never returning here again.

Harpreet S.

Yelp
Was just ok at the best. Service was great and the staff was friendly. But food was below average. Very salty dishes. Bathroom was smelly. Nice open concept. Location is prime.

Adyasha M.

Yelp
I am here to tell you my dear reader that this place deserves your business! I had a plate of hot Poori and Potato curry at 8.30 in the morning here and it was the best breakfast I have had in months now. Pleasant ambience, courteous service, all 5 stars. You won't regret ordering from or dining at this place.

Ketan V.

Yelp
Had a third consecutive experience where food was delayed by more than half an hour. Other tables who had ordered similar food after us got there orders before us. Do you not have any order in which you process tickets?

Ekta R.

Yelp
Never order breakfast from here, we ordered breakfast at 10 am the guy said it will take an hour, we assumed 11 it should be ready, we came here at 11, and now its 12, the BF isnt ready at all and at 12 they said 1 order we asked for isnt there anymore, horrible service provided by them, later on we asked for a discount since we waited.. Please avoid this place...

B N.

Yelp
Informal Indian restaurant located in a Morrisville strip mall. We've seen it open for a year or so and finally stopped for lunch this week. The menu is extensive but We specifically ordered South Indian food after asking about their specialty. Food was served fresh, fast and hot. It has open air seating which is a good option during Covid times. The interior was simple decor but had strong food odor. They need better ventilation from kitchen. Seems to be run by a family.

Prashob V.

Yelp
Service, food, and prices were great! We loved that they opened early and had a dedicated breakfast menu.

Arun J.

Yelp
I ordered take out for Paratha with chicken curry and Curry leaves chicken. They first messed it up with giving only two for they were supposed to give three. This was rectified immediately but the paratha itself tasted like old and store bought when compared to the dine in I had last time. Only positives were chicken curry and curry leaf chicken.

Raghu R.

Yelp
We just happen to bump into this restaurant as we were looking for some south indian food. Coming from NYC, where we have access to all diff kinds of Indian food, we were surprisingly glad to love the taste, the ambiance, and the service at this place. A must-see if you happen to visit Chapel hill/Durham. The Kurma was typical as we find in southern part of India. LOVED IT. Keep up the good work. See you guys during my next visit to Chapel Hill. Raghu Rao

Drinda B.

Yelp
Ordered a dosa for carryout and it remained crispy. Dosa was delicious and chutneys were flavorful. I will definitely order again.

Priyanka B.

Yelp
Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Morrisville who likes all blends of spices and It's one of my favorite restaurant now. I loved the appetizers and Biryani here, Especially the Gongura chicken appetizer and mutton biryani is my all time favorite and I definitely recommend this restaurant. The Customer service was great, I would definitely Visit again soon.

Shyam T.

Yelp
Very seldom you find authentic South Indian food in the US. This is one of the places. Excellent dosa, idli, vada. And the sambhar was super tasty! Kudos to the server Kuladeep for excellent service. Definitely coming back here again.

Eve C.

Yelp
Food and customer service are amazing! Will definitely be back soon, you will not be disappointed.

Michelle G.

Yelp
This place was previously named Saffron. I ordered chettinand curry, 7/10 spicy. It was delicious!! Very happy with the depth of flavors. They offer a nice menu; planning to try some other entrees soon or maybe I'll get the same again since it really was outstanding.
