Our waitress KD was soooo personable and attentive! The food portions are insanely large and so is the flavor! Great creative names for the sauces and they are all amazing cost me about 65 bucks for lunch but that’s including a 20.00 tip.

We visited Chuy’s on Greenville Ave and ordered the beef fajitas for two, adding shrimp for an extra $4. Before ordering, we asked our waitress, Gabriella, if the portion would be enough for us and our toddler. She answered very firmly, “It’s a lot,” so we trusted that recommendation. When the food arrived, the fajitas came in the same size plate as a single order, and the shrimp were very small. The beef was overcooked, with a texture that felt reheated rather than freshly made, especially since the order came out surprisingly fast. The rice and beans also didn’t taste fresh, and overall there was no flavor in the beef, shrimp, rice, or beans. For the price, we expect fresh and well-seasoned food, but unfortunately this visit was disappointing. Hoping management takes this feedback seriously because the service was fine, but the food quality really missed the mark.

5 stars for the 5 star performance in all of the above food service and atmosphere!! KD was our waitress , made us feel at home very attentive to all she of her customers . Oh and the way to pay is scan the QR code on the ticket so convenient!! I got the bowl not realizing it was a barrel the flavor in all the foods was perfect the chips and salsa were so good and homemade !! Hope to see you guys next year :) Texas state fair !!

Excellent food at a great price with really good atmosphere. This location has an outdoor lawn unlike any other Chuy's I have been to.

We had a fabulous lunch! Great service and the portions are huge! Oh Shout Out on the fabulous chile rellenos! And seeing the fabulous old Tango Fogs was wonderful!! Thanks for everything Chuy’s!!

Chuy's offers a fun, vibrant atmosphere with delicious Tex-Mex food. The creamy jalapeño dip is a must-try, and the Big As Yo' Face Burritos are massive and packed with flavor. The decor is quirky and colorful, making it a great place for a casual meal with friends or family. Savvy is the best!

I was craving chips and salsa, so hubby and I decided to opt for Chuy's. This is a nice location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service, ambiance, and food was good. The prices are also reasonable. We shared a steak chuychanga plate with creamy green Chile sauce and had a side of guacamole 🥑 (sorry no photo). The complimentary chips and salsa hit the spot. 😄 The portion was plenty for us. I really like Chuy's even if it is Tex-Mex and our food was lacking in flavor.

Stopped by Chuy’s for lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday before spa day at World Springs — great food, great location, and quick service! Perfect spot for a fast in-and-out meal with good vibes.

Had the most fabulous lunch today at Chuys. Walked in at 2:30, and was immediately seated. Wanted something filling but not too heavy. Decided on the appetizer sampler plate,lunch priced @$14! Had alittle of everything that I was looking for. The chips and the salsa were really good. Good combination of cilantro, onions and tomatoes. Chips were hot and a little salty. But still really good till the main course came out. The atmosphere inside is really cool and pretty eclectic. Huge bar area right by the front door. They have happy hour 3 to 5 daily and weekend specials too. The inside was very spacious with lots of tables and booths. Or if you want to sit outside, they have plenty of seating there as well. You can even look up and see the dancing frogs above your head. If you decide outside is your jam. My server was Melissa, she was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. Even gave me a to go water. I wish we had a Chuy's in Rockwall. They would definitely give some of our Mexican restaurants a run for their money. I would love to come back and try some of their drink specials. They look and sound yummy tasting!

Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, Hector was our server & bartender and so great. We shared the beef fajitas with a side salad, delicious green chili ranch. The beef came out sizzling on a bed of the best vegetables. The restaurant is decorated very tropical and we loved the photos posted of all the dogs who have visited

I normally don't give out a bad review but, I can't help myself on this one. Food at best is Tex-Mex, which is about all the good I can say. Zero flavor, zero spice, literally no salt or pepper, beans were dry, rice was dry, meat was dry. It tasted like they are cooking for 80 year-old white people who are allergic to spice. Also, hot sauce was not hot at all.

I really enjoy the food and the drinks. The service is always nice and I'm glad that they've moved the location closer to me so that I can visit more

Love going to Chuy's in Austin and wanted to come here to revisit the memories. First, they recently relocated and the new location is very big. Lots of tables and no wait for lunch on Saturday. The service was decent and the food was good, but not as great as what I remembered. The prices are reasonable and the free chips and salsa are amazing! It's a very family friendly restaurant and the decor and colors are vibrant.

Chuy's never disappoints. I decided to try something new here, the Mexicobb salad. I was pleasantly surprised by how large and tasty it was! Definitely recommend eating it with come creamy jalapeño! Service was great and we were able to walk in without needing to wait for a table thanks to joining the online waitlist. There is parking behind the restaurant but it looked like it could fill up fast so beware.

Chuy's is great, just go. It's classic Tex-Mex, but with some real actual Mexican influences that give it a fresh twist. The chips are light, crispy, and clearly not store-bought. The salsa leans toward a traditional Salsa Fresca--a bright, flavorful blend of fresh veggies. The menu offers a solid mix of authentic Mexican flavors, all wrapped in familiar Tex-Mex style. So what you get is the best of both worlds: bold Mexican taste in the comfort food form we Texans know and love. Now, about their commitment to Elvis... I don't get it. I had lunch surrounded by framed photos of puppies and dogs, so clearly there's a theme going on, even if it's unclear what it is. Just roll with it. I ordered the King's Combo, which I assume is an Elvis reference, though I couldn't tell you why? Either way, it was excellent. A greatest-hits platter of their best: crispy taco, cheese enchilada, beef enchilada, and more. Everything hit the spot. So yeah--definitely visit Chuy's. If you crack the Elvis mystery, let me know. But food-wise? Top notch!

The highly anticipated opening of the new spot was a bust! First of all, we were told the patio is only open on the weekends so we can't be out there. However, on our way out, a majority of the patio seating was filled. Not sure what's going on there. Second, talk about NO service. If someone isn't trained to know what a margarita "on the rocks" means at any Tex Mex place, we have a problem. Then after ordering a margarita, I get a shaker and a martini glass - I inquired again and go, are you sure this is a marg. Answer - yes but then I was charged for Mexican martini's which are not on happy hour. Asking for extra jalapeños and getting only 3 total (yes we counted ) with my boom boom pow app is also absurd. To top it all off, we asked to split the bill by seat (bc when we asked by couple, she looked confused) yet the check given to each respective person was all wrong. We decided we'd fix that along ourselves bc given the the service we got, we highly doubt it would've been fixed correctly and/or expediently. Overall experience here was just purely a disappointment. Come at your own risk.

I've been to two different Chuy's in Austin and always found the food to be great. The chips are warm and crisp, the fajitas wonderful and the margaritas are delicious. I can't say the same for the Chuy's in Dallas. That was a disappointment. I would give Austin Chuy's a 5 star rating and Dallas a 2. My review would have to be "mixed."

I owed a neighbor a dinner and margaritas for watching our pets during our most recent vacation and have been busy, but I finally remembered he wanted to watch the NBA draft, so we went to our now, local Chuys for my first time and his second! We sat at the bar and Grace our bartender was very attentive! Something I have always enjoyed about Chuy's is the great colors, tile work and art on the walls, not to mention Elvis Fan!! We each got several combos of the frozen margaritas...my favorite was lime and strawberry. Got the fajitas and they did not disappoint, although I wished they had corn tortillas...Great location and great service...I will be back! :) --- Do advise to get there earlier or later, as the place does get busy during peak hours.

I had never been to a Chuys but heard great things about the Jalapeño ranch so that was my sole reason for going. I went for lunch and was given the chips and salsa both of which were incredibly fresh. The salsa still had foam in it from the blender and the chips were warm from the fryer. I asked for the Jalopeno ranch for my chips and the server kindly brought one for each of us. Also points that they give each person their own salsa bowl I love that. Well after we downed a whole basket of chips we were already full but I got the chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas which were delicious the sauce was perfectly spiced! My brother got the Baja shrimp tacos which he also liked! I will definitely be back

I thought the restaurant was very nice and clean. The food was super delicious (beef burrito and chicken enchilada and queso). Everything came out piping hot but not burnt. Good service. Would definitely go back when we visit 6 flags again.

The food at Chuy's is fresh and full of flavor. They provide delicious chips and salsa,some of the best I ever had. AND it is included in the price of your meal. Appetizer Playe is a Dream of delicious flavors. Even the flautas have great chicken in them. Most other restaurants fry a rolled corn tortilla and that is it! The chicken Fajitas my friend ordered looked fantastic and he was not willing to share. He has an allergy to onions so the set a large amount of red peppers around the plate the he enjoyed and it made the food look appealing. There is no better service than Chuy's employees. They are attentive but not overbearing or trying to hustle you out. The ambience is almost noisy but in a fun enjoyable way. This one of my favorite restaurants, no it IS my favorite restaurant.

The food and drinks are consistent. But we went on a Friday towards the end of happy hour time (no, we didn't get happy hour pricing because we weren't in the over packed bar), and it felt like we were at a daycare. Nothing against kids if those who have them, but the entire patio was full of toddlers who were left to their own devices. Their parents were at their table with their friends while their toddlers were playing in the rocks and/or keeping their hands all over our table. I don't plan to go to this location again, because, yikes. No thanks.

Had a great time here on Saturday, National Margarita day!! I called the day before to be sure they had something going on and they had several drinks specials. I opted for the $5 premium shot for my margarita on ice. Of course it was PACKED - as always and expecially because the sun was out & it was a great day for the people who live in the neighborhood to walk over. And this location is moving soon - due to development here. My friend & I managed to get seats near the front door so people-watching added to our lunch. We had the apps and drinks and got so full we didn't make it to the enchiladas I was dying for! From the time I entered the service was great, these people have been trained well. I was answered even as they ran by. The bartender was super busy but when I hesitated on which drink special I wanted, he stopped to explain what each one was. I took his suggestion of the shot, which was really what I wanted anyway, lol. But great service deserves a tip, don't forget! These people were working hard. Our server was friendly and didn't rush us. Food was served hot and timely and she checked if I wanted another drink but oops, forgot to notice my water was empty and the salty food and rimmed drinks make you thirsty for water. I asked for it and she brought it with my 2nd margarita. The apps were awesome but I forgot to take a photo before we dived in! Go see Chuys!

I like Chuy's, fresh tortillas, the tortilla soup is awesome, queso is great, and the creamy jalapeños sauce is delicious. The problem with Chuys is the delivery or pick up service. 75% of the time the order is wrong or missing an item. It is so frustrating because I brought this up with their management countless times. They just can't get it right. Chuys, place two people to check orders to have additional oversight on this. It is annoying to open up your food and things you were looking forward to eating are in fact missing. Do better for customers.

According to my previous review, it has been 13 years (!) since I've been here. Wow. I wish Yelp had half stars because 4 is a bit high and 3.5 seems more accurate. This is an iconic restaurant in Highland Park, which means it has been around a long time. Parking is still tough-to-impossible to find. We went for lunch on a Saturday. I like the ambiance and decor. It is funky and intended to be cool, although by now it is cliche and similar to liking a bad movie simply because it is so bad. The positives: -frozen margaria. Wow, really good. Fresh lime flavor, not some pre-made mix. -salsa is fresh and spicy -chips are light and not greasy -Elvis Presley combo is a good deal and tasty. You get a lot of food for $13 and the quality of food is good. The tortilla for the taco is homemade and fried in-house. The three enchiladas were good, although I could only eat 1.5 of them. The negatives: -parking, parking, parking. -the beef in the Taco Al Carbon was chewy, not tender, and had a lot of gristle. The wife hated it. -the cheese in the kid's quesadilla was velveeta. Really? She liked it only because she does know better. Whatever happened to real cheddar? Our server was working hard but had too many tables so she often was lost. We had to repeat our request for more salsa and to go boxes. With so many other Tex-Mex options in the Metroplex, it probably will be another 13 years before I return.

Just look at my pics! Queso with boom boom sauce looks like green pea baby food. The taste is just as awe full. The refried beans used taste of a can and there is no taste of queso at all. The frozen margaritas are good but not really strong. It's one of those places that gives you cheaper quality food and drinks, dressed up as Tex mex for cheap price point. Your body would thank you to visit a good Tex mex place such as Los Palmas or hit up El Tizoncito for their awesome frozen margaritas. Where just one is guaranteed to give u a buzz. Super tired of restaurants taking advantage of their customers. This certainly isn't what it was 5 years ago. #pass4now

Chuys is what it is. Tex-mex. Great service, usual Tex-mex great margaritas!!! They had a new one, raspberry margarita, which was excellent. Ordered the guacamole which I love and tacos which were good. It's Chuys nothing off the wall, but never disappoints.

Love the new spot, but the food was lack luster. I don't know if they treat to go orders differently, but my burrito was about half an inch thik with maybe 2 ounces of filling in it. If you guys need to make more money to cover costs, just charge 20 bucks instead of 15 and actually make a decent burrito. This only happens with to go orders so it must be a directive from management to cut costs for these orders. When I dine it it's a fat burrito and can't complain at all. This is just a review on their Togo orders. They definitely skimp a lot on Togo orders so make sure you look at your food before you leave.

The atmosphere, service and food were fantastic! I had chicken Poblano and my wife had a Cesar salad and both were five stars . The Taramasu was the best I've ever had.

Revisited the Chuy's on Lower Greenville and sat at the bar. Shout out to Daniel and Ebony for providing excellent and friendly service. Drinks were on point and appreciate the HH prices.

Chuys is a great place to get some Tex Mex. The ambiance is fun and they have some huge margaritas. They also provide chips and different types of salsas. I thought the food was alright, mostly because they didn't have that many vegetarian options. I got the crispy tacos with beans and to me it wasn't anything special. Some friends recommend the enchiladas which I would go back and try.

Me and a few of my coworkers came in today for dinner. The food and drinks were delicious as always, but I really want to shout out the great service we received. Shel took amazing care of our table this evening. Attentive with a great smile. I could tell he was very busy, but he made us feel like we were his only table. As a bar manager myself, I will always give credit where it's due!!

I had to stop in while I was visiting Dallas. I used to live in Fl and in Texas and I was a regular at my local Chuy's. I don't know if the Tex Mex is as amazing as I think it is or is it the "white sauce" I dip everything in or pour all over everything. Never had a bad experience at a Chuy's and did not again. Really nice service, really really good food, really great prices and the best... AMAZING strong and cheap drinks. Fun, laid back atmosphere good for small or large groups. I miss Chuy's and cannot wait to go back to one!!

So sad to see the iconic Knox/Henderson location go! That was such a staple of the area!! The new location may not be far in mileage, but it is in a very different part of town. Some positives: There is a ton of parking and the new restaurant is nice and clean. But I do have a few notes: why do we still go to chuys and have to ASK for creamy jalapeño dip?! Put it on the table with the salsa so I don't have to request it 3X from my waiter before getting some. The tortillas this time were not as fluffy and thick as usual, and were also cold, so not sure what happened there. We weren't even sure they were cooked. The waiter did bring my 1 year old free ice cream which turned the experience around, but such a bummer about the location move. No amount of money should've given that spot up!

hector at the bar, is beyond amazing. he is the reason I keep coming back. super hospitable, friendly and fast. listens to your requests and is quick to help. love coming here because of him. he deserves a raise

Oh chuys! This has been a favorite spot of mine since the late 90s in Austin! When I moved to dallas I started frequenting this location off Knox Henderson back in 2004 or so. It's always been super kitschy and they've always had plenty of jalapeño ranch on tap!!! I used to frequent the happy hours that had the free nacho car and discounted super larger martinis! I'm not sure they still do then nacho car but if they do, definitely check it out! Now I'm here normally with kids in town and they still deliver! It can get super crowded on weekend and even weekday dinners but they have quite a bit of seating so it's never really a huge problem to get a table. We always pair the chips with an endless supply of jalapenos ranch. I also like their chicken quesadillas and the chicken fajitas. They also do have a great kids menu. In my more youthful days I loved getting the chuychanga. It was like a delicious deep fried chicken burrito that was HUGE!! There are several cool rooms and a nice bar where you can wait as well. I definitely recommend checking out CHUYs for some good old Tex mex!!

We came for happy hour, which is on weekdays from 3 to 6 PM. The complimentary chips were thin and crisp, and we loved the salsa, which has a lime twist. Since we were here for happy hour we treated ourselves with another order of queso. The queso was only $5 and we could order a variety of toppings which included beef, guac, pico, refried beans, lettuce, jalapeños, and sour cream. We ordered the chuy's famous Rita's with $1.50 off for happy hour. The grande was a generous amount and I could not finish it! Our waitress was attentive and she refilled our chips often. Overall the ambience is colorful and festive with plenty of seating for large parties.

Great restaurant. Always delish food. Our super close location is moving a mile away. So can't wait to go to their new location. Killer ritas. Great Happy Hour food and pricing. Great service.

We've been to the Plano, TX location many times and it's always been great. I wish they still had the interesting T-shirts in the foyer. The last one I purchased said "Chuwitzski #41" for the great Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzski! Every time I wear it someone wants to know where it came from. The manager is always around, very visible, and always shaking hands and greeting people by name - clearly there's a loyal following at this location. We're normally here for lunch and everything I've ever tried here has been delicious. Fajitas, quesadillas, nachos...but especially the enchiladas! Chips, salsa, queso & Margaritas are excellent, as well.

Ordered for delivery several dips (including the appetizer chips and queso) but didn't receive any chips. Wouldn't have left a review if this didn't happen on multiple occasions - very frustrating when the whole point is chips and dips.

Ebony is my favorite bartender in all of Dallas. My boyfriend and I come in at least once a week to pay him a visit. Our chips are never empty, and our drinks are never dry! On a serious note, he's a kind and friendly man! Love Chuy's, and we'll be following them over to the next location!

Came here after wife was at Baylor hospital. The service was terrible. I am not sure who was in charge and no one could make up their mind WHO's table we were at. It took sometime before we got drinks or a menu. The inside was typical for Chuy's. When we got our food it was not hot as it usually is. This Chuy's needs some training with new people here. It is not up to their sales standards. I do not like writing these kind of reviews but the truth is what I wrote. Hopefully this will change at this facility.

My husband and I were planning to go to an Italian restaurant nearby but we walked by Chuy's and it smelt amazing so we went here instead. Upon arriving, we (2 of us) were asked if we wanted to sit immediately at the high top tables or wait 10 minutes for a regular table. We opted to wait 10 minutes for a regular table. We waited next to the host stand and a group of 4 walked in (as we were 35 minutes into our wait) and were sat immediately. It was quite odd and frustrating so a waitress (not even the host) ended up seating us at a high top. After that, it was smooth sailing. I never would've thought to dip tortilla chips in ranch but it was actually so good! The drinks and food came out very quickly and they were good! It's definitely a great amount of food for the price.

New location looks great ...nice and bright and colorful as usual . The staff is friendly and the food was hot and fresh ,queso was delicious and food was traditional style in taste .... Happy to have them in the neighborhood

Update: see response from Chuys. They don't even know which chuy's when my review is directly under the location I visited. Could explain why management would allow their restaurant to stay open with no HVAC. What the actual ???? What restaurant is open when it's 105 outside in Dallas without air conditioning??? How do they even expect people to sit in here and have a comfortable dinner. How do they expect their employees to work in this cluster??? My server was dripping with sweat, which poor her but gross!!! Who wants to eat food being brought by people covered in sweat. All of them. It must be miserable. Do better Chuys. Shut down and fix this mess. Jeez.

I ate here recently at the bar and found the service and food were excellent. Same great atmosphere as always. I'm really sad to hear this location is closing bc the building was sold to build an office building. The area has changed in recent years and many other businesses have been priced out of their locations for higher end businesses to go in. Chuy's is relocating to lower Greenville area.

The food is excellent and so are the drinks! The hostess named Cortney needs to learn how to greet customers. We were asked to wait to be seated outside even though it was empty. (4PM on a Sunday)

Two stars soley because our food was good...HOWEVER - as we were leaving, we saw quite literally the largest cockroach we had ever seen on the wall inside of the restaurant. Seriously - it was at minimum the size of my index finger. Crawling on the wall of the picture frames of dogs. Will never go back because if there was a roach THAT BIG in plain sight - I can only imagine where else they are. I would've taken a photo but we were so disgusted we just bolted out.

I've always loved Chuy's, and even though their location recently changed, the great service hasn't! We ordered our Mother's Day dinner to-go, but the tortillas that came with our family fajita order were accidentally left out--they only included the extras we ordered. My husband called to let them know, and instead of having us come back, the manager personally delivered the missing tortillas to our house. That personal touch meant so much to us and reminded us why we'll always come back. Thank you, Chuy's!

The food quality is horrible everything was bland no flavor or seasoning. This place used to be good years ago. Definitely, don't recommend.

Saturday the 23 of November we visited Chuy son McKinney. I called ahead as the website suggested because we had a larger party than 7 and wanted to get our name on the waitlist. I told the host that we would like to put on name on the waitlist. She then told me I could do that online. When I said it said to call her response was "okay." And nothing else so I asked would that be okay. Her response was "yeah." When we arrived at the restaurant she lied at first saying she didn't remember the conversation then remember but had never put us on the list. So we waited as they sat multiple people in front of us. The waiter was nice but the whole experience started off badly.

Food was great as always. I ordered the roasted chicken enchiladas with Green Chile sauce and it was delicious. I also ordered a margarita and it was really good. However, I was quite disappointed in my server who decided to upcharge me for a grande margarita. It looked like their $7.50 margarita but then I got my bill and had to shell out more money for a grande. She never asked if I wanted a regular or grande and she decided to choose for me. What??? I left a good tip for her as well. Service was really lackluster and you could tell she didn't enjoy working on a Sunday. So, please make sure you get what you want before you place your order, and don't get upcharged on your bill. I expected better from years of coming here.
