Best Tex-Mex Restaurants in Austin | Eater Austin

"Though it’s now a national chain, Chuy’s got its started at this colorful and funky restaurant on Barton Springs Road over 40 years ago. Along with the kitschy decor, expect serious Tex-Mex, tangy and creamy jalapeño dip, and some of the best fajitas in town (Chuy’s version is marinated with Texas treasure Shiner Bock beer). There are indoor and outdoor tables at this Chuy’s, which offers curbside pickup of orders, and four other locations in Austin proper with various pickup and delivery options." - Nadia Chaudhury

1st time coming to this Chuy's and it was amazing 😍.. the beautiful decor and atmosphere is great. Now the food on the other part please and I do mean please ask what's all on the food or how its made and how its serves on your plate due to it being spicy 🔥 as in HOT. I can't eat anything hot at the moment and I was not aware of all the hot sauce on the enchiladas. I explain my concern to Sterling the manager and he was so awesome and made me cheese enchiladas to go that was so sweet of him to do for me.. 🙏🏽❤️ definitely come check them out... Next time I am in town I will definitely come back... the food is delicious!! 🌮 🌯 🍷 And Sterling was great on fixing my food...

Google
Busy restaurant but they found space for us four without a reservation. I had a taco enchilada combo which was great, others at the table had vegetarian dishes and chicken dillas. No draft beer so we drank margaritas and shiner bock. Service from Benjamin was great. Cost was $119.07 for four before tip.

Google
An unwelcomed surprise when I got home. Received my order that I paid for, but also found a 8 oz queso that I did not order. Thought they just put it on the side instead of on my burrito, but my burrito already had queso on it. I opened the container of queso and can see it's a little more runny than it should be. I then I see the small bubbles. I didn't ask for the extra queso and surely didn't want queso with saliva. Never again!

Google
Love this quirky place. Love, they brought back the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. So much food for the money. Their menu is definitely smaller than long ago so here is a menu pic. Go early avoid the lines

Google
The booth of 4 people sitting behind us in Chuy's Rounf Rock tonight at 5:30 pm was obnoxious and loudly talking and laughing so that every vulgar detail of their conversation could be heard for the entire 45 minutes we were rating in the restaurant. The food and service was ok, but my husband and I could not enjoy our dinner due to the ear piercing talk and laughter of this group. There was a full restaurant of patrons who were respectfully behaving and talking at a normal voice level, but this one group was excessively loud, and not being controlled appropriately by management. Because of this bad experience, we will not be returning.

Google
There was a wait when we walked in. It wasn’t too bad- we waited about 25 mins to get a table. The place was busy with it being a Friday night. The salsa and chips are good to get you going till the food arrives. Portions are good. We ordered chicken enchiladas, bean and cheese burritos and a kids meal (beef taco). Food taste was good. The place was busy and our server seemed flustered. He was having a hard time hearing us because of how loud it was. We love Tex Mex food and will always come back to Chuy’s!

Google
Stopped into Chuy's for dinner. Our party of five was seated once they put the tables together so we had a short wait. Once seated, we had a fantastic server which explains the 4 star rating. The food was plentiful but couldn't measure up to the Mexican dive place where we had dined the night before--Chuy's seemed more "institutional" although it still tasted good. But our server Sarah made the experience a delightful one.

Google
I don't care that it's a popular chain and has a location pretty much everywhere, because I would still recommend it for amazing Tex-Mex in Austin. The atmosphere was so vibrant and lively even an hour before closing. No complaints about the complimentary chips and salsa {read till the end for a special tip there ;) }. The vegetarian fajitas and enchiladas, and the chicken relleno were all fantastic and full of flavour. And the tres leches is so deliciously soft and spongy. It's become my favourite for Tex-Mex so far. Hint: Ask them explicitly for cilantro ranch with the complimentary chips and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Chuy's is def a family friendly and just fun atmosphere to visit. I always love how they decorate their spaces and none of them are identical. Our waitress let us know she was a new hire but she was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, polite and made sure to check in on us throughout our lunch. I was a bit disappointed with the food however my rice was bland and my tacos were lukewarm. I've been to this location before so maybe this was just a one off. Def will be back.

Yelp
Four of us went for an early dinner while visiting this city. Three of us loved Chuy's where we lived and the restaurant no longer exists, sadly. So we are very happy to go! We all think that Chuy's is always good and this visit continues to prove that. The chicken quesadilla was flavorful and plentiful. The green chili Mexicobb salad was excellent as usual. The jalapeño ranch dressing is always terrific. The steak burrito for the Chuy's virgin in the group was well received. That diner couldn't decide between the sauces for her burrito and our super server happily brought two. She loved them both! I got the burrito bowl with steak. Yum! I didn't like the chipotle sauce that came with it didn't thrill me and our server didn't make a fuss when we asked for yet another dish of their delicious salsa. Our server was terrific! Ronnie told us he's only been there for a month. We told the manager to keep him. He was friendly, helpful and kept us in chips and salsa! Great restaurant. Solid food, great service and fun decor. Thanks, Chuy's!

Yelp
On 3/22 Miranda took care of us and was stellar through and through. It was a pretty busy night but she was upbeat and on point every time. We ordered our drinks and food when she first came to us. She got our water with no ice like we asked for (always missed by servers when we go out) and remembered any small requests we made. Food came out hot and tasty. The Elvis plate that I customized came out exactly how I wanted. We were in the car room, it could used some dusting, but over all it was a good atmosphere and we enjoyed our dinner. Oh and the spicy Mexican martini is my go to Cheers!

Yelp
Our party of 6 came in at 5pm on a Wednesday and were sat immediately in an empty dining room. By 5:30, the majority of the tables were full. My boyfriend and I ordered beef and chicken fajitas for 2 which was tasty. We asked our server Josh W. for some napkins, and he asked "more napkins?" but we did not have any to begin with. There were 6 of us, but he only brought us over 5 napkins. So we asked for more and he looked around our table for a long moment, it made us feel as if he thought we were running through napkins unjustifiably. When we were done, my mom asked Josh for a to-go box, and my boyfriend asked for 2 boxes (one box for cooked ingredients of meat, beans, rice and tortillas, and another box for cold ingredients of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and guacamole). Josh said "YOU need 2?". So my boyfriend asked for 1 box instead since Josh made it seem it seem like 2 boxes was unjustifiable. Unfortunately, we left the restaurant feeling like the staff is stingy with boxes and napkins.

Yelp
Overall I love Chuy's & highly recommend, my experience at this location just left a lot to be desired. We had a 45 minute wait at 8:00pm on a Saturday so didn't get sat until a little before 9. The room we sat in has way too many tables in it so we felt like we were sitting on top of the people around us. I'm not sure if they were short servers or it was just our server struggling but it took us at least 15 minutes to get our first round of water and we never got refills. We also had to ask several times for items missing from our order. The food was great as always, just the customer service was lacking.
google avatar

Maggie W.

Yelp
Had lunch there, it was busy but we were seated pretty quickly. Our service was perfect, he was attentive and made sure our order was correct. Everyone's food was good, the chips and salsa were tasty. The vegetarian options are a little lacking but I know I'm in the minority. The place was clean, decor was kitschy and cute. Patio looked great but we were seated inside!

Yelp
Not even realizing I ordered the same exact item from the first time I came here, Chika chika boom boom...yes that's how good it is. It has a good amount of heat of the sauce, chicken is tender, and the portion is huge. It makes a good leftover, too.

Yelp
If you want really good, spicy, tasty food, then Chuys is your place to go. The place can get really crowded at times so be prepared to be bumped into once in a while. The margaritas will make you forget the bumps though. Wait staff has a hard time keeping up because it's always busy at the Round Rock location. Even their pick to go orders are on point. Give them a try. Atmosphere is always friendly and busy.

Yelp
I used to live in Austin and this was my one place I needed to return to on my trip back. And after an hour I was already missing it again and sad to leave. Chuys is Chuys is Chuys. Their plates and drinks are still huge, they always get crowded at peak times, the sauces are always delicious. I was a bit sad at the slim down of the menu and losing the daily specials. But they have the solid basics still intact and service was fantastic- perhaps the best paced I have ever experienced. If you want Chuys, this is peak.

Yelp
Back on our original stomping grounds! Been a long 12 years since we visited this location and it still looks like chuys, awesome....As with all Chuys we visit the service has always been great, but the hostess stood out on this visit, very friendly and polite. Wife went with Beef enchiladas with double rice, and side of hatch peppers on the side...she makes her own green chile rice ;)....and for me, it was pretty simple with new specials they are offering (Chuys please keep doing this, people love to try new stuff) and I went with the massive Cheesy Pig Burrito...you almost feel guilty eating it but dang what a combo...they nailed the Red Chili BBQ Sauce...just outstanding....Pork was super tender (would make for some killer enchiladas hint, hint)...and mac just pushed it over the top....and who would think the crispy onions went great with the refried beans?....Overall a fantastic visit. This place brought back a lot of memories and were glad things haven't changed.

Yelp
This is my wife's favorite place to eat dinner on her birthday. We did the wait list and it is highly recommended. We waited less than 5 minutes for our table. Server was Jordon and she was nice. The chips are crazy good to excellent when they are warm. Problem is they can ruin your dinner because who can stop eating them. The queso is great but $9.00 and the white sauce is free and just as great. My wife got the enchiladas and it was way to much food but will be her lunch tomorrow. My fajitas were great and also plenty of food. Very tender and tasty meat. It was a all around hit again.

Yelp
Love Chuys, alway a great place for consistent TexMex and decent margaritas. I had the chimichanga and didn't get the boom boom sauce this time, bad choice, it's way better with. My partner got the quesadillas which again consistently a solid choice. Staff was great maybe a bit slow but I feel Ike they never are super quick, the plus you never feel like you have to hurry up.
google avatar

Kevin Douglas W.

Yelp
Big as Yo Face burrito was amazing! I had fajita chicken. Awesome fresh margaritas and love the jalapeño salsa!
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Chewies is always really consistent. Stopped here for a lunch with some coworkers we had beers and a big plates and everything came out good fast in a hurry. Their margaritas are always amazing and I love their salsa especially when you get options. I really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Have eaten here for years. It's always pretty consistent..

Yelp
I joined the waitlist before leaving the house. I still had to wait at the hostess stand for a few minutes to be checked in, but then got seated right away. This was on Memorial Day around 1PM. Our waiter, Colin, did a great job of checking on us and getting us anything we asked for. No complaintes there. I did have a problem with my grouper tacos. When they came out, there was NO FISH in them. I realized when I took my first bite and only tasted veggies and sauce. Before I could wave down anyone, Colin came from the kitchen carrying a plate with the fish on it. The portion of fish was generous, but they did not taste fresh. They had a very definite "fishy" taste rather than the clean taste they should have had. The chips and creamy jalapeño dip were delicious as always. I would NOT recommend the grouper tacos. My friend was very happy with her steak fajitas and frozen mango margarita.

Yelp
Chuy's is one of those places that I used to frequent, it was a favorite spot, but now have written off - after the pandemic - due to the deteriorating quality and exorbitant price increases. Been going here since the last century - 1999 - and it was always my go-to for out of town guests for great chips and salsa, the Elvis Combo, solid enchiladas, awesome happy hour with chips and queso. But alas - not anymore. And I don't think they care, and I don't think they'll miss me. Got the Hatch Beef Tacos - my God these were horrible. The meat was so dry, and lacked flavor, so bland, I did not finish it and I packaged it up and gave it to the homeless. And I think I paid $15 for those - 2 tacos some rice an beans? LOL! I should have sent these back but I just let it go. The quality of the food has gone downhill. They don't make that red table salsa anymore. The chips are always stale - tells me they are lacking quality control - or - they hold onto their chips longer to reduce waste. They are consistently stale. I know these guys are doing very well business-wise. They raised the prices so much, and are likely more profitable than ever before. That's great, but they are a far cry from what they used to be. Menu has been reduced - that's fine - but I cannot deal with the lower quality food, and the continuous poor execution and lack of quality control. Welp. It's been real. Thanks for the memories.

Yelp
Omg yum!!! Our friends had recommended this place when we were whining about having that Tex mex itch. We've tried some places but they were more eh. But Chuy's definitely scratched that itch and I'm talking that firm fast scratch with them nails ahhhhh!!! Y'all know what I'm talking about. Anyways, we of course ordered the queso, macho burrito, chicka chicka boom boom enchiladas and steak tacos for the kiddos. Let me just say everything was mouth watering delicious. I got the enchiladas and they were spicy. Mild but so good! The flavors and spice with the shredded chicken (was not dried out either) was the perfect combination; joined together in perfect matrimony...in my belly!!! Y'all do yourselves a favor and make it out to Chuy's as soon as possible, because it's just that good

Yelp
Brought family from out-of-state for some Tex Mex after taking them around downtown. We've been a few times and have this is a great place for appetizers and margaritas, but the food usually falls flat. This was no exception. Actually really liked the change up to their white jalapeño sauce for their chips and their Panchos were better than expected and came fully loaded. However, everyone was a little disappointed with their main courses: the tortilla soup was nothing special, the chimichangas were bready although the boom boom sauce added some kick to offset, and the quesadillas came out as 4 tortillas folded in half (not expected). To top it off, our waitress while attentive, seemed to be rushing. I know it was a later Friday dinner (still plenty of time before closing), but it seemed like she just wanted to get out of there. Next time, I'll need to remind myself that it is best to keep to appetizers.
google avatar

RL H.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. Everyone who we've had as a server has always been worth a generous tip. Flavor is great Love the food there. But something is going on in the kitchen. Presentation has fallen lately. Enchiladas should be rolled, as opposed to looking like soft tacos covered in a delicious sauce. And someone needs a bit of training on how to fold a tortilla for a burrito. Again, they have more in common with a soft taco presentation rather than a burrito.

Rachel S.

Yelp
Let me start by saying, I love Chuy's! We ordered delivery from them this past Friday, and they sent us tortilla chips in a literal "Thank You" plastic shopping bag. I love your food, but as a customer, this is grossly disappointing and not your standard. What happened?
google avatar

Narendra M.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 Food 4/5 Comfort food with variety of choices of drinks and appetizers. How can I not start without initially served chips and dips. Perfectly fried chips with two choices of dips. Goes well with our ritas. We ordered mango ritas and few others which all our good. Main food: will recommend boom boom sauce. If you are ordering chicken enchiladas with book boom then I'll highly recommend to get extra boom boom sauce... my chicken was slightly dry so extra sauce helped. Finished full dish and then I needed a nice comfy bed to sleep after an amazing dinner.

Yelp
Was on business travel and decided to give Chuy's a try. Couldn't get enough of the complimentary chips with pico and a white dipping sauce. My server was very attentive and even gave my some chips to have later. I also had their margarita on the rocks and it was very tasty. I also ordered the shrimp tacos and couldn't believe how big the fried shrimp were. I think they could've used more sauce but the server said it was the same white sauce for the chips so I just used that. It also came with rice and beans. The decor is a little whacky/tacky but overall the place is pretty cool. I'm glad I have it a try.
google avatar

Jessy S.

Yelp
So first thing when we walked in the host was not friendly at all, BUT when we left she was super nice so it was kind of odd not sure if she was just in a bad mood or Smt at that time but anyway that's okay it be like that sometimes.. we got seated right away on a Thursday during lunch time so yay, the food was really good the salad was sooo big I was not able to finish it all and we got 2 margaritas which were really good too a bit pricey though. The restaurant itself has a cool feel inside with all the pics hanging around and such, our waitress was also very attentive so I really appreciated that! We will def be back!
google avatar

Netta K.

Yelp
So glad Chuys has to-go! Friday nights you have to get here by 400 to get a seat for dinner! Ha! Ordering online is super easy and picking your pick up time i don't have to guess if my food will be done or cold when I get there. They are super fast once you let them know you have arrived!
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
I left a 1-star review for their curbside pickup about 10 months ago. But I've been back several times since then and they've gotten much better. So, to even out my previous review, here's another one.

Cain N.

Yelp
Burnt steak and barely any, empty and gross. 0/10 slow service too, needed a refill for 20 mins. Never again. CEDAR PARK LOCATION ANY DAY
google avatar

Shayer S.

Yelp
I'm big on Chuys! I find their food to taste good, well portioned, and reasonably priced. I've never really been disappointed in the food at any Chuys location, including this one. I'm all about that boom boom sauce and the green chili sauce. The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo is a ton of food for an amazing price. They used to have an appetizer sampler plate which was our go to but didn't see that the last time we were here. The kids menu worked well for my kid. Service was very good at our last visit. Make sure to get on the wait-list on their website if you don't want to wait 45 mins during lunch/dinner times. My biggest complaint from my last visit is that food took 40 mins to arrive and it was unusual even for the server who apologized numerous times for it. They must have been backed up in the kitchen. Nevertheless, it didn't ruin our night and everything else went smoothly. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the food....I might go back this weekend for some boom boom sauce!
google avatar

Vince S.

Yelp
Best Mexican food on the planet. Several of their entrees are tasty and contain a lot of protein. If you're looking for a good meal order the Elvis Memorial. It comes with a lot of cheese and 1 beef, 1 chicken and 1 cheese enchilada.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Chuy's is a reliable standard for better than average Tex Mex in a funky, eclectic setting. This location is a long way from the OG location on Barton Springs road, but the decor, architecture, and vibes are eerily similar. You will find all the classics here: the thin house-fried chips, the great salsas, the classic creamy jalapeno, and some good Tex Mex basics like fajitas. I'm not a huge fan of Chuy's margaritas, but they do get the job done. Chuy's remains tremendously popular for a fun night out, so the parking lot often fills up and wait times can be daunting. Despite that, I have had good service and experiences at this Round Rock location. Online and to-go ordering is also excellent from this location. There is an efficient curbside service that has worked well for me a few times. Overall, the food here isn't revolutionary or authentic, but it is reliably delicious and fun.

Chakrapani R.

Yelp
Food was pathetic. Boom Boom sauce had double salt. Veggie order had chicken in it.. this is very pathetic service. I don't recommend to goto Round Rock location.

Yelp
So first off we were super hungry and excited to eat when we got to Chuy's because I love this place! We ordered the queso for starters and two margaritas, my fiancé got the house margarita and I got the swirl! The swirl is definitely the best one! It was a little busy when we were there so the food took pretty long to come out. About 40 min later the food finally came out, the chuychanga came out fine. Unfortunately my fiancés burrito was cold which was pretty upsetting because we had been waiting so long and we were super hungry. We told our server it was cold and he said he could put in a new order for us but it would probably take a while because the kitchen was backed up. We told him no we didn't want another one so he took the burrito off our bill and brought us boxes. My fiancé went up front and asked to speak to a manager, the manager came to our table and I explained what happen. The manager was so kind and took care of us. She took all of our food off our bill, we only had to pay for our alcohol. She then said give her 5 minutes and she would be right back... 10 minutes later she came to our table with super hot and fresh orders for us! We were so surprised we did not expect her to bring us new plates. The manager Erin was absolutely awesome! Thank you for going above and beyond for us! With that being said I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mexican food and some food margaritas!
google avatar

Yelp
We had dinner with our family to celebrate her birthday. The food and drinks were good. It was a bit crowded, but what's new? I've never been to a Chuy's that wasn't a bit crowded (no big deal, no wait). The topper and the reason for the fifth star, is Michael! It's been a long while since I've seen someone work his customers with the skill to cover Drinks, Food, checking on our table, at just the right time. And he never stopped hustling. If we were good, away he went to another table to check with them. Seriously, he'd make more money giving servers lessons.
google avatar

Adriana S.

Yelp
Pros: The queso was good and the chips were really fresh! The guacamole was fresh, i.e... nice and green... not that brown color you see when it's been out in the air a while. Cons: The chimichanga was not only overcooked, as evident by the dry hard beef inside but also by the overly brown crunchy tortilla that the plastic knife they included could not cut into! And to top it off, there was a toothpick in it! I guess it was used to hold the tortilla together while it cooked... yet they didn't bother to remove it before they served it to the customer... really...smh. Who does that? (rhetorical) The portion of rice and beans was not sufficient. They also put the container of sauce for the chimichanga on top of the rice... which is not sanitary considering someone held that container in their hand, and now you just put it on top of the rice in effect, contaminating it... again, who does that? The guacamole had no flavor or seasonings whatsoever... even guacamole served alfresca should have flavor to it... had to add seasoning to bring it life. It was definitely not worth the $35 paid for those three items...smh.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
We went during happy hour and the waiter said the margaritas were $1.50 off for happy hour. When we got our bill the $1.50 was not taken off either one and when asked about it, he said that was only for lime and strawberry, which was not mentioned when ordering. That is just wrong to say they are discounted and not apply it to the 2 margaritas we had.

Yelp
Let me start by saying i love eating here and i never have complaints, however, today, in round rock i was greeted by the rudest hostess i have ever met. When she learned i was a single she said she signed and said she had nothing but high tables left. She then seated 4 more twos and a single at regular tables. I take this personally. I chose to eat here and if it's that full then why was i the only one at the bar? Anyway, just a thought. The bartender was very nice though so i appreciate that. Just WOW chuys.

Yelp
Went to Chuy's on a Saturday evening without reservations and had an overall good experience. The food was delicious, the waitress Hannah was really nice, attentive and exceeded expectations with her recommendations. The ONLY issue we experienced was the wait to be seated. You can "join the wait-less" online that gives you an estimated wait time (ours was 30-45 minutes at the time). You immediately get a text saying you've been added to the waitlist, check in when you arrive and if you're more than 15 minutes late you would be removed from the list. I was a little confused so I went to the front about 20 minutes later and the hostess said it would be about 45 minutes. Basically you aren't really added to the waitlist until you actually come in and speak with someone which defeats the purpose. Most places will have you added to the waitlist in real time and when your table is ready you get a text and must arrive within a few minutes. Now I know this isn't the issue of this specific Chuy's but it's a little ridiculous. Multiple people came to the hostess during our wait and had the same complaint. It just doesn't make sense that you add your name to the list but your wait doesn't start until you check in.... Might as well not have that option. It serves no purpose.

Fred E.

Yelp
Chuy's is a national icon that started in Austin Tx. I have gone for so many years that I don't Ned to look at the menu or guess about the best time to go. If you have never been, you are missing a great experience. Food is always consistent and the wait staff are well versed in customer care and recommendations.

We LOVE this place EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Dining in, take out or delivery, it's always perfect!! Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Great place for after work margs and food. The queso is a big win. My twins love the enchiladas.

Yelp
Wife and I ordered to go from Chuy's this past week. We were debating about eating in the restaurant until we saw that every Togo order comes with chips, salsa and the creamy Jalapeño sauce. We went ahead and placed a Togo order instead. The parking lot for Chuy's often gets pretty crowded. The Togo parking is in the back of the restaurant and not in the front. Once I found a spot, I got my food in a couple of minutes and I was on my way home. I ordered the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchiladas. Chicken was flavorful. This dish is all about the boom boom sauce which is essentially a moderately spicy queso. I enjoyed the meal, big portions and the dish came with rice and beans. Will definitely be back when we get the chance and are craving Tex Mex

- Great restaurant and service - Ambiance is phenomenal and there is always enough space to sit as compared to the congestion you experience at the Barton Creek location. - Boom boom sauce is the bomb and one must try it. - Tasty food served at tge right price.

Yelp
I know the expectations are low for this place, but man it was probably the worst Tex-mex I've ever had. Ordered the Tex-mex Enchiladas, and EVERYTHING on the plate tasted as if it was sitting in the kitchen all day. Enchiladas were dry with a sprinkle of cheese in them and the rice was dry/hard. Our waiter was kind and attentive and is the only thing that made the experience bearable.

Yelp
Everything thing is great except the sauce it taste like straight pico de gallo something that supposed on a taco not salsa for chips. Sauce could be better. Overall tho it's great plus to munch

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of chuys however at this location the hostess is the absolute worst She is soo rude and should not be the face or first person you see of chuys - we were the only table of 8 and she prepared our table then sat three other parties in front of us before taking the menus to the table so we followed and she replied " how do you know this is your table" ? seriously?! Jose however was AMAZING he was so friendly and took great care of us!! Jose saved the day or at least made up for the unfriendly and RUDE hostess

Yelp
Service was very horrible took 30 minutes to find a table and the outside was bad bugs everywhere! And I am Mexican I am a little bit offended on chuys merch like Juan Solo?!?

Yelp
The food has yet to disappoint! Drinks are also always just right! Any staff we have ever encountered has been cheerful and came off as genuinely happy. If it was a front I had no idea. My favorite thing here I must say is the Mexi-Cobb salad! The fresh veggies made my pallet scream for more! Depending on when you go and how busy or not, will determine if it is loud or not. We've visited during the week around noon and on a Sunday evening.

Yelp
We've eaten here a lot, it's always great food and pretty good service. It's a super popular place so a wait is always expected, at least they have a waiting area where you can get drinks and such before eating. The burrito (size of your face) is honestly a super good deal compared to most restaurants these days. Between that and an absurd amount of chips and creamy jalapeño, it's 2+ meals worth of food per person, if you've got the self control to not eat it all and be in pain haha. We'll be back regularly

Yelp
You can't go wrong with their expansive delicious menu, fun atmosphere and terrific bar. I mean who else would have a spicy chicken dish named after the childrens' book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom? I go there as often as I can. The wait staff is always super friendly.

Yelp
My wife and I came for a late lunch and we were fairly promptly seated in the outside porch area where we wanted, to enjoy the breeze and fresh air. Manny was our server and he was outstanding as usual (glad to see he was still there!) I had a beer and my wife had a house margarita. I was initially thinking about their Mexican martini special but then saw the $11.50 price tag. I make a mean one myself so will wait to get home for that . We chowed down on quesadillas and a roasted chicken burrito (with my absolute fav Hatch chili sauce) and we were again impressed by the excellent flavors but not to mention the portion size (waddle worthy.) Definitely enough to take some home and enjoy again. So why 4 stars and not 5, well the menu is still missing the Elvis chicken and our long time Chuy's famous salsa bar. I realize these are likely casualties of the Covid era but hopefully we're about past that. This is one of our happy places so will be back again. Thanks Manny, and yes, this is a repeater! Salute
