CIBO

"The pared-back dining room, flanked by a conservatory, is in distinct contrast to the 17C Burgundy stone house in which it is located. Chef Angelo Ferrigno crafts subtly creative modern food and is committed to sourcing his ingredients locally, in fact exclusively within a 200km radius. He rustles up dishes in the zeitgeist, rich in raw, natural and Scandinavian influences, whose art-directed plating is truly exquisite. His fillet of delicately pearlescent, organic trout that melts in the mouth, flanked by puffed buckwheat, trout roe and wafer-thin radish slices, or his immaculately barbecued quail with black garlic pickles, green asparagus, enhanced by a reduction of meat jus and perfumed with coriander seeds, are models of high-flying gourmet craftsmanship. Polished service and insightful tips from the sommelier add a final flourish to this appetising portrait. Be warned: tables are snapped up fast!" - Michelin Inspector

Beautiful play of color, flavor, texture and joy. Every bite left me wanting more, plus the sommelier matched wines perfectly and to my tastes. I will go to one of the wineries I tasted there to buy a case of the best Chardonnay I ever tasted! Every team member was welcoming and cared that you had an amazing experience, and amazing it was 🌟🌟. I had the pleasure to meet the chef and chat about cuisine and restaurants. He is surely headed to two stars soon, A+ all around in my book! Will return asap!

CIBO has a beautiful, modern vibe — minimalist with wood and concrete details that make the space feel both sleek and inviting. The menu is creative and rooted in the region, highlighting local ingredients like fresh cheese and catfish in unexpected, seasonal ways. One of my favorite parts was the cheese cart. The staff member who presented it was genuinely kind; he walked me through all the cheese varieties and even repeated their names in English so I could write them down and look them up later. It felt personal and made the experience all the more memorable. The downside for me was that many of the dishes leaned heavily into acidic flavors. I understand the menu is built around summer ingredients meant to be light and refreshing, but at times the acidity overpowered the balance of the dish. A bit more contrast or depth could’ve made a big difference. Also, the wine pairing didn’t quite hit the mark. The wine itself was good, but it didn’t match most of the dishes—only really working well with two (grilled catfish and another meat dish). At €145, I was hoping for something that would enhance the meal a bit more. We’ve had more cohesive pairings elsewhere at a similar level. That said, I’d definitely come back to try a different seasonal menu. There’s a lot of creativity and care here, and I’m curious to see how it evolves.

Amazing experience! Was there for lunch and everything was just perfect - food was delicious and creative; great wine selection; staff were very friendly and highly professional. Loved also the ambience and place decoration. Tables are quite far apart so did not feel crowded.

Amazing and exciting flavors and presentation. A perfect balance of interesting and familiar. Each course is a work of art. The service is exemplary as well. I will be back. Excellent value for money too

Creative cuisine, emphasis on natural wines, two kombucha drinks served in the wine pairing. Ordering a bottle before starting the tasting menu confused the staff, so delayed the wine pairings.

We had lunch - felt rushed, otherwise good food overall. We appreciate they allow us to change from venison to beef.

Our evening at CIBO was outstanding. The menu was exquisite, especially the mushroom dishes. We loved the presentation, which felt very natural and therefore fits in great with the overall theme of the menu and the restaurant itself. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. Only downside was the service unfortunately, which was quite hectic. Empty dishes were for example taken as soon as one person was finished with his/her food without waiting for the rest of the table. There was clearly also a language barrier as French-speaking tables had lengthy interactions with waiters. The service would have received three stars if one of the waiters hadn’t looked up what certain vegetables are in our native language.

Wow! This may be the best meal my wife and I ever had. We had the 5 course lunch menu. Everything was fantastic. The plating and presentations were creative and fun. The food was delicious, interesting combinations and lots of fun little surprises throughout the experience. We would absolutely go back.
