Managed a last-minute booking and so glad we did! The service was lovely, the menu well-curated, and the food of great quality. The warm, lively atmosphere made the experience even better. Would happily return!

Google
Noemi’s team was absolutely incredible! Their warm welcome and professionalism made our visit even more memorable. What started as just a meal turned into an amazing culinary experience. The flavors, the presentation of the dishes, and the attention to detail were simply perfect. A big thank you to the entire team for this exceptional moment! I highly recommend it without hesitation! Just consider the price is according to the full experience and place.

Google
A true and authentic Italian restaurant and that while it’s known by tourists it’s the locals place to go. Food is 5 stars. Wine is so incredible. You will not regret. Oso Bucco is the best.

Manow Wanavit

Google
What a waste of time and money. Foods were low quality, disgusting and oily, everything was covered in oil and tasteless sauces. I ordered the stake medium rare and it was so hard and chewy just like a cheap supermarket beef.

ENRIQUE Cardenal

Google
Delightful experience! Will be back! One of my absolute criteria to give 5 stars to a place is whether I leave thinking “I need to come back here one day” and this place was definitely one of those and beyond. Not rocket science when staff makes a total of 75% of the experience. And they went beyond with us. Not sure if they just liked us or it’s in their DNA. I am thinking is the second. Very knowledgeable with their wine and how to pair it with the food you’re ordering. We were a party of 5 and order enough dishes so that we could all try different options from the menu and everything was delicious. Reasonably priced with great atmosphere and hardly any tourists, a combination we always look after that always results in a great experience. So not only we will be back next time we are in Florence, it also is 100% recommended for a full Florence gastronomical experience immersion and you and your wallet won’t regret it.

Google
It was an incredible experience. The food took me back in time and every bite felt like eating food my grandma would prepare on special occasions. You can taste that the produce they use is fresh and local. I highly recommend eating here. We were celebrating and the place, service and food couldn't have been better.

Massimo Porrati

Google
Food and atmosphere were faultless. I would have given a perfect review if it weren't for an unacceptable collapse in the quality of service at the end of the meal. Our table of two was forgotten from the moment dessert plates were removed until I walked to the counter to ask for the check, 45 minutes later. For a restaurant that in all other respects so excellently carries on the legacy of Fabio Picchi this is unforgivable.

Google
Cibrèo Ristorante in Florence is a culinary gem, offering an extraordinary dining experience. The ambiance is a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The white glove service is impeccable, with staff demonstrating profound knowledge of both the menu and wine list. The menu showcases the best of Tuscan cuisine, with each dish crafted from the freshest local ingredients. A standout is the pigeon - a masterful blend of traditional and contemporary flavors, it's a must-try. The wine selection is expertly curated, enhancing the meal beautifully. In summary, Cibrèo is a celebration of Florentine culinary art. It's a top recommendation for anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience in Florence. Five stars for exceptional cuisine and service.

Yelp
ABSOLUTE MUST TRY! Cibreo group has a caffe, trattoria and ristorante all next to each other which offer different dish and drink options and prices, so I recommend you look at all 3 menus and make the decision based on preference and price, but you will have a great experience at either one you choose. I went to the ristorante and was amazed by the food. It is a little pricey though so be ready to spend. The manager, sommelier and waiter were amazing in giving suggestions and generally making the whole experience flow with ease. The food was insanely good and I would definitely want to go back

Yelp
This place is vastly overrated and some customers are very delusional. The premise that it "deserves a Michelin Star" is laughable. The menu is extremely limited (perhaps the most limited menu I have ever seen at a high end restaurant) with one unorthodox pasta course. There is an approximation of fine dining with presumable farm-to-table elements but the service is meh and the atmosphere in the restaurant consists of candlelight completely saturated by an array of light bulbs. Food itself is fine; the steak and veal osso buco were in the mid-range of what you can get in the US. Nothing spectacular but prices for the first two courses especially struck us as a bit high. Our service wasn't bad but the two tables nearest us seemed to lodge at least one legitimate complaint during the time we were there (including an impassioned diatribe in Italian which we understood maybe 5% of). We spent the walk home trying to determine what the value proposition of this restaurant is... our conclusion was simply that the majority of tourists would be better off elsewhere.

Yelp
The restaurant is flanked by an osteria and sits directly across from a bar all by the same name. The reception area is covered in books and pictures of the (recently deceased) owner. It felt self indulgent and obscene (like being in a celebrity restaurant). The restaurant seating was formal and nice but quite austere. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable but they had more "specials" that evening than regular items on the menu. We ended up ordering the shark and the roasted pigeon. I can't speak to the shark because I don't like seafood but the pigeon was overcooked and the taste and smell we're off putting. The flan Ragu appetites was incredible. It was light and soft and creamy. The pear cheese cake with apricot jam was unbelievably amazing.

Yelp
I gave 2 stars only because they let us in without a reservation. I agree with many other reviews that this restaurant is seriously overrated. After the meal, I felt I paid 179 euros for mainly 4 buckets of breads. The menu is very limited. The lady introduced 2 fish courses not listed on the menu and we tried. All are very salty. We are quite disappointed for this meal. We came to this restaurant from YouTube's recommendation and it turns out to be a disappointing surprise.

Mario R.

Yelp
Wife and I went for coffee and pastries. We sat outside. The waiter ignored us at least 3 times when he was helping other tables around us. Then the manager came out to assist the ladies next to us. Didn't acknowledge us at all. She came back about 5 minutes later to give us a menu. So now we have been sitting there 20 minutes and we just get a menu. She also gave menus to a couple of men that had just arrived. The waiter comes out and waits on the two men and then goes inside. He then comes back out about 5 minutes later and takes our order. Finally. I ordered a Cafe Americano and he had to ask what that was. Worst coffeeI have had in Italy. Too much. Don't waste your time going here unless you want to be ignored by an unhappy and non-friendly staff. No one smiles and the manager has a constant classic scoul on her face. There are much better places to have coffee or dinner.

Yelp
Christina, Christina, Christina. She's the manager here and said she has been working here for 30 years. Her hospitality was warm and welcoming beyond belief. It was just as good if not better than the food which was phenomenal. We enjoyed Fish croissant, mushroom soup, potato flan pesto, fresh fish and Mediterranean shark. Everything was incredible. But we will remember Christina the most.

Yelp
Just ate at the Cibreo cafe and it was a very pleasant experience. Not only was the food incredible but they even made me a signature off menu cocktail. I happen to be very sad during the meal due to some bad news I got; the waiter saw me attempting to hide my tears. At the very end of the meal the waiter brought me a free dessert pastry and told me to feel better. This was so kind of the restaurant and something they didn't need to do but went out of their way just to make me smile. Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some amazing food and warm service!!!! 10/10 in my book :)

Yelp
This place served the best steak of my life, better than Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. I've been to 50 states, traveled the world, and this steak knocked me off my seat. My wife and I returned to the cafe next door the following day, made the same order. Ridiculously under-talked-about gem.

Yelp
A little pricier than other locations but this place really impressed me with not only the service but the entire setting gave you the complete European feel. I went here quite a few mornings for breakfast just to sit and people watch lol

Yelp
Alright, so I'll start off by saying that we are travelers from the U.S. and came to this restaurant because we got hungry and wanted to eat some great food on our last day in Florence. Sooooooo... We walk in and the manager of the restaurant immediately looks at us and judges us based on looks: Casual attire. And asks us to "Please, look at the menu first". Thinking we can't afford their "pricey" food. After about 5mins of passing around one menu between the 6 of us, the staff was kind enough to give us 2 more menus so that we only had to share with the person next to us. They did not ask for our order for about 10mins of seating OURSELVES Don't wanna preach too much about time so I'll cut to the chase: Food was actually pretty good but the price for the level of douchbaggery that they displayed left more to be desired. Dressing in suits doesn't make you a 5* restaurant. Food was decent but a bit over priced. We did like the food but to act like you're too "fancy" for casual looking people is insane. Hate to burst your bubble but €15 for meatballs is cheap for travelers looking for some authentic Italian cuisine. I've spent more on a single dish at Chili's (American Dinner) and wasn't treated like shit for coming in wearing jeans and a track jacket. And the biggest difference is you feel like you got your money's worth when you get your food at chili's. If you wanna try some good food I would 100% recommend this place, but to make sure you get the entire experience make sure to come in with casual clothes to see how far up their own asses the staff and owners are. What I would recommend you do if you want nice humble food with a staff that treats you with basic human decency is go to the Burger King a couple of blocks from this restaurant. We went there after an incredible time at Kitsch on Viale Antonio Gramsci 1 Florence last night and they were AMAZING. (Nitpicking) Clientele in the restaurant definitely airs on the side of douchbag with "money" that can afford more than "peasant" street food and pizza. An attitude they wear on their faces as they'll continue to turn and look at what you're doing and eating. Bottom line is the food was pretty good. Authentic and delicious; however, for about half the price and an exponential amount of respect and humility, you could have an amazing time with two AWESOME bar tenders at Kitsch (forgot to catch their names but they know who they are) and then walk on over to Burger King and have a great experience here in Florence. My advice to this restaurant is simple: 1. Un-shove your head out of your ass 2. Humble yourself 3. Treat people with respect 4. Educate your staff on the above 5. REMEMBER that travelers are more than willing to pay €15 for authentic food straight from the motherland. Only time we'll actually flinch on price is when we go to a restaurant with a PRINTED dress code next to Michelin Stars, NOT a Hole in the Wall located in the middle of a back alley You don't have to do anything with the food. It's truly good. It's just difficult to separate the food and the taste of shit you've left in your mouth with the staff you have. It's experiences like the one at your restaurant that help travelers and "regular" people truly appreciate "lower-class" fast food restaurants and bars. Hope you found this helpful!!!

Yelp
This is a dining experience not to be missed. The ambiance; service and food are all impeccable. We had a bottle of Barolo with chicken meatballs and rabbit. Simply delicious.

Yelp
I'm reviewing the trattoria here (nearby there's also the bistro and the more upscale restaurant). This place offers good Tuscan food at decent prices. My pappa al pomodoro was good and the cuttlefish florentine style excellent. Tucked away in a narrow street, far from the hustle and bustle of the touristy streets, this is a great place to stop for lunch.

Yelp
If I could give more stars I would. Service impeccable. Food incredible. It's truly a dining experience. As a solo traveler in Florence I felt like the staff took extra good care of me. This specific restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and it is a must. I only ordered two courses yet the food kept arriving and arriving. I loved it. I will be back.

Yelp
I've dined here on two separate occasions. Each occasion equally as wonderful in its own unique way. The rabbit is delicious and if you've never tried rabbit before I highly recommend giving it a first go here.

Yelp
Went for lunch and it was sublime. Our best meal in Florence thus far--will definitely go again for dinner. I had the cuttlefish, slow cooked in tomato and spinach; my partner had the rabbit. We started with the chicken liver pâté and then soups--I had the fish soup which I preferred slightly over the mushroom soup my partner had but both were delightful. The pannacotta with caramel is fantastic, and we will always remember it. We had four courses and portions were perfectly sized. Very affordable, and kind waitstaff who did not condescend despite our bad Italian. The crowd was entirely Italian other than us which struck me as a good sign.

Yelp
After some very good recommendations from friends who had eaten there we made a reservation for the last day of a two week stay in Florence. What a disappointment. The main dining room is pleasant with an open view of the kitchen on one end and the street on the other. As mentioned by other reviewers the waitstaff comes to your table, pulls up a stool and sits with you to recite the evening's menu and answer any questions. The chef's choices for what dishes were offered that evening were not very appealing. We both chose the pureed yellow pepper soup drizzled with olive oil for a starter. It was tasty but nothing outstanding. To start the house offered a plate of small appetizers which included chicken liver pate and other so-so nibbles. Tables on either side of us asked why there was no pasta dish offered anywhere on the menu and were told it is up to the chef what he chooses to offer. They were told if they wanted pasta dishes they could go across the street to the Cibreo Cafe - a more casual version of the family restaurant. Those patrons left after that explanation. As we ate our unmemorable main course dishes a woman brought in her pet dog and sat down next to us to dine. At the start of our meal the staff had checked with us about any food allergies we might have - they didn't bother to check if one of us were severely allergic to animals. We were forced to leave. As we left we mentioned not only the health hazard the dog posed but the unthinking selfishness of a person bringing their dog to a restaurant. The receptionist apologized half-heartedly and we were told that the restaurant's owner herself had 5 dogs and would never object to anyone bringing their own to this high-end establishment. So much for customer safety and consideration. Save your money and go to the other wonderful restaurants around Florence.

Yelp
Amazing place, tasty food and very attentive staff! Absolute must in Florence! We had the liver to share and some antipasti - perfect for two people! I would definitely come again!

Yelp
On Friday 10/10/2014, my husband and I had dinner at Cibreo. The reviews on Yelp were so great, but the overall experience, and the food, fell incredibly short. The "human menu" is awkward. One of the staff seats themselves at your table, and reads a list of menu items available for you to order. The restaurant is old, outdated, and there were flies on the wall, buzzing around our wine glasses, and on the tablecloth of the empty table next to us. After you order your food from the "human menu," they bring an assortment of foods- "a present from the chef". Would have been a nice touch, if the food had been delicious. They bring out tripe (my husband tried it, and did not like it...full disclosure, I did not try it), a garlicky ricotta terrine-like spread (good flavor, bad texture) , chicken liver crostini (bite size), mushrooms (rubbery), and another terrine-like spread that tasted like a caprese salad in the form of a shmear. All in all, the textures paired poorly together. The flies continued to buzz around us. Delicious: we shared the polenta with white truffle. It was great. See pic. However, they do charge double for the white truffles. This is typical at most restaurants during truffle season. I had the minestrone soup with white tuna. It was pretty good. With dinner, they bring you a bread bone- see pic. I don't get this. I ordered the chicken and ricotta meatballs (2 good-sized balls), which were delicious. Sadly, they came with whipped potatoes, that had a pudding-like skin on top. I think they may have been microwaved before being served to me. My husband had the rabbit, which had many bits and pieces of cartilage, making it inedible. The rabbit came with soggy, room-temperature green beans. We skipped dessert, and decided to get gelato down the street. The owner asked how our meal was, and we told him not so great. He shrugged, and walked away. He did not care to learn what we were disappointed in. They brought us a cheesecake with an orange-gelee on top. It was not good. I advised our hotel concierge (Helvetia Bristol) of our experience.

Yelp
After travelling around the world on business, I happen to try this restaurant thanks to a recommendation and I fell in love with this culinary reveleation. This experience is one of my top 2 dinners in my life (the other being my wedding night and that was highly influenced by the event of course!). This restaurant is further east from the Florence core and the 4 corners of the street all belong to the same group. A cafe, casual restaurant, a teatro, and this culinary wonderland. From the outside, it looks like a casual restaurant but once you're in, the most wonderful hostess, Christina, weaves the most lovely experience in front of you. The menu is non-existent because they search and create their daily menu from the freshest ingredients they can find. Christina sits at your table and uses the most descriptive words to create a visual of the most alluring dishes you can imagine. She helps craft a tale from primi to secondi and finally dolce by pairing the flavours from each moment to the next. Ensuring that duplicative ingredients are not done and that they compliment each other. We start with a creamy amuse bouche of tumeric yogurt with local artisan olive oil. It's light, savoury, and bursting with flavours. I want to smear this on everything. Then our primi arrives and my spicy seafood stew has the clean taste of freshly caught fish with the right touch of heat. The complimentary crostini with the smooth pureed Tuscan style liver just delights the tongue. The ricotta is so light and the taste can only be explained as pure and clean milk that reminds me of fresh raw milk. A spear composed of pureed Tuscan beans is a creamy comfort. My main dish is composed of in season artichoke, egg yolk just lightly poached, and one of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had that isn't ladened with heavy use of butter or cream. A base of creamy mash potato creates a nest for artichoke. It's stands on it's 'head' and creates a cover for the golden yolk. The artichoke is perfectly cooked and Christina gently takes a butter knife and slices it in half down the middle to reveal the yolk within. The presentation is wonderful and the taste... outstanding. My table mate was given caramlized local onions that were almost jam like because of the inherent sweetness and cooking technique. It was just amazing. The dessert blew me away... I ordered a chestnut mousse cake that had crispy melt in your mouth meringue embedded within it. I've never had anything like it before and I probably will never find it again. Everyone at the table agreed it was a definite highlight of our entire Florence trip. The flourless chocolate cake was the most addictive chocolate dessert I've had in a long time and definitely a wonderous taste for any chocolate lover. I speak a lot about the food and it's clear the quality and technique to create this culinary dream is amazing but Christina (the hostess) made it special. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. I didn't say I was vegetarian but she took a quick mental note when my tablemate said 'oh that's right you don't eat meat' in a general table talk. When my complimentary sides for my primi arrived, I received two portions of the vegetarian option instead of the meat and vegetarian. Her gracious smiles and kind conversation is rarely seen in any type of service and it's clear that she truly enjoys creating these experiences for food lovers. If you're ever in Florence and you want to experience a once in a lifetime and unique dining experience, this is it. Forget the overly precious and cold service of Michelin starred restaurants, and come here for the most sublime and warm service with the best Tuscan food.

Yelp
Recommended by a friend. Might have been the best meal our entire trip to Italy. Wonderful atmosphere. Food is superb. Service excellent. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Overrated. They served lots of extras. The service was nice but I found it bizarre that there was no menu and the (upscale) waitress sat with us in our table to go over the choices that were available!

Geoffrey N.

Yelp
In my opinion, this is as good as it gets. With highly recommended restaurants, I always use Eleven Madison Park in NY as the bar... And Cibreo is there. The service is second to none. Wine glasses anyways filled, smiles all around, and a very comfortable atmosphere. Their pricing and menu is very simple, one price for first course (appetizer), one price for main, one for dessert, and one for coffee and there's a separate wine selection. I didn't list prices because prices may change. The menu varies everyday so the way it works is you get situated and a menu specialist sits down with you and tells you about today's appetizers and main course. She was so passionate about the food but in the end we got the potato flan and fish soup as appetizer and grilled prawns and rabbit for main. We also got complimentary small plates and as much as I dislike yogurt, their salted yogurt topped with olive oil did it for me. My wife had the grilled prawns and it was sea candy... Reminded us of the very best uni. The prawns were just barely done but when they are that fresh, you can't overcook it to truly at appreciate the fish. A wine specialist also comes and sits with you to go over the huge and intimidating menu. I had a bottle of the 2013 Chianti Rufina Reserve with my rabbit and he was right! Then last but not least, a dessert specialist once again sits down and you know the rest. Rivals many three Michelin star restaurants, highly recommended

Yelp
One of the best Italian dining experience we ever had. Apparently this is a local institution owned by a celebrity chef. They serve seasonal food. There is no printed menu, a staff sat in our table and presented us with our options for the day. We just told her that we are carnivores, and please serve us your best food that we cannot find somewhere else. We got a really delicious braised duck and oxtail. They even made special dish for our daughter. It was the best meatballs (I meant Ragu) she ever had.

Yelp
Simply the best coffee in Florence. The cappuccino was made to perfection and the texture was so smooth and velvety. We found out about this place from an American couple that lives in Florence during the summers and they swore it was the best coffee in Florence... and they were right! The ambiance is really chill, and what you would expect from an Italian or European cafe. I didn't try their food here but I had such an amazing dinner with the sister restaurant Trattoria Cibreo.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Cibreo never disappoints. From the moment the menu is described to you (you don't get a menu) and the antipasti that follow (which you don't order), you know you're in for a special meal. There may be restaurants equally as good in Florence, but none better. One caution to non-Italians: don't order a cappuccino after dinner. You won't get it!

Yelp
This was our favorite dining experience in Florence. If you are a foodie, make this one of the stops on your lists! The food was just of incredibly high quality and so interesting, the service was impeccable and for us it was a very authentic experience. Definitely recommend getting a reservation if you can as the restaurant was pretty packed starting at 8pm. We knew about how the menu worked so when the manager came and sat at our table and explained, at length, our various course options we listened carefully and were pleasantly surprised when she was more than willing to answer all of our questions. She also gave us recommendations on which appetizers and main courses went together and offered to give T two half portions of two entrees he was having trouble choosing between. Amazing service. We had the creamy polenta with parmesan and the parmesan bread pudding with a rabbit ragu for appetizers - both were delicious, so light yet rich and full of flavor. Also, very generously sized for appetizers! For our entrees I ate the roasted squab stuffed with candied fruits which reminded of something out of Game of Thrones - you eat the squab with your fingers as the meat is super juicy and the candied cherries and other fruits (and ginger) add a sweet and slightly spicy flavor to the dish. T had stuffed rabbit and a veal stew, both of which were delicious. We were stuffed after dinner but the desserts were so tempting we ordered two and they brought out a complementary third for us to share. I chose the coffee custard covered in a decadent chocolate sauce, which was perfectly not-too-sweet, and T chose a walnut, honey and dried fruit tart which was amazing. It didn't sound super interesting when he ordered it but the tart crust was flaky, the honey was floral and lush and the dish came together perfectly. Capped our evening off with a cappuccino and then slowly walked home. Definitely, definitely would come back the next time we are in Florence!

Yelp
We ordered the daily pasta at this place that was recommended by a newspaper at home. I have to say that I was disappointed by the value for the money in this place: 14€ is a hefty price for a really small portion of pasta. It was about half the size of what you usually get which makes it just too expensive all in all. The fettucine with tomato sugo and tuna als came with a hint of lemon which I liked but might not be for everyone. The waitress was very kind and responded quickly to our needs for the little one.
google avatar

Kimmi C.

Yelp
Exceptional service. Each server memorizes the daily menu and pull up a chair to the table goes over it with the guest. They are warm and welcoming. The food was well prepared but unfortunately we were not too impressed with the food. All ingredients were fresh but a bit simple in preparation and basic in seasoning. The oxtail was just boiled and looked very "rustic" in presentation. I ordered the grilled shrimp and go 4 shrimp that were split in half and grilled without seasoning. I did not try the rabbit but it looked like the most intricate dish presented. Before the meal that provided many mini appetizers that were interesting part of the meal.

Yelp
Absolutely the best dinner during our 9 day trip through Rome, Florence, and Venice (even while many of our other meals where at top rated Fodor's spots; as an aside, Fodor's suggestions aren't nearly as solid as they used to be, definitely do your own extra diligence). Getting back to Caffe Cibreo: we sat outside, wonderful, lively, yet relatively laid-back ambiance in their little piazza lined by their three other restaurants (see their website). We were treated like family by owner, Giulio Picchi (Son); he sat down and consulted with us to build-out an amazing dinner catering to our tastes along with his recommendations that were spot-on. Watching owner, Fabio Picchi (Dad) greet and entertain local guests was especially fun as we sat outside; this is a foodie and fun loving family run group of restaurants. We started with several small antipasti dishes featuring a variety of local flavors, including, prosciutto, herbed cheeses, yogurt puddings (lemon/turmeric & tomato/basil), seasonal vegetables, couscous, and more. We then had their seasonal yellow pepper soup, amazing. Our 13 y/o son enjoyed a perfect bowl of pasta that made him happy. We all had their house specialty, a thinly sliced roast beef with a wonderful sauce - tender and tasty; served with a small side of greens (at that point in the trip we had to have a salad). We finished with a flourless chocolate cake and a berry tart, both were some of the best desserts during our trip. All said, the staff was genuinely friendly, their little piazza is a welcome relief from the hustle of the Ponte Vecchio area, the food was truly outstanding, and the value for dinner was great.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Florence - go here at least once on each trip. You should try the fixed menu - starters, main and dessert - 40 euros. Chef Picchi is quiet a force to reckon with. Across the street is Teatero de Salle - theater + food - run by chef Picchi too ... Just go for it!

Yelp
I wish that I could give this place the full 5 stars but sadly the service staff was a little aloof and somewhat inattentive. But this was by the BEST MEAL WE HAD IN FLORENCE! I'm not sure where the chef trained but the presentation had an air of French technique. The restaurant is in the Santa Croce area, away from the tourist traps. We decided to have lunch which might be a good idea if you are trying to be more budget conscious. The menu is limited to what is locally available and what the chef decided to make, which can be limiting to those with food allergies and strict diet but if you're a foodie like myself then try anything they offer - it all looked good. As my first plate I had the ricotta flan. It was perfect - seasoned well, served with fresh pesto infused with so much basil you could smell it from afar and salty Parmesan cheese. The bread was soft crusty and went well with the cheese flan. As my second plate I had the chicken meatballs served with a creamy tomato sauce. Again like the flan, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Such good food!! Simple ingredients but crafted with skills and gave that feeling of something an old school Italian grandma might serve. Definitely will be back many times again.

Yelp
NO WORDS. THERE ARE, NO WORDS. Go here for an absolutely lovely and emotional culinary experience. And pace yourself.

Yelp
We always stop at Cibrèo when we go to Firenze. Actually more for the overall experience than the food. There's no written menu, but there are about 5 or 6 staff members dressed in black (including the maître d' and the sommelier) who sit at your table, and go over the half dozen (each) starters, main courses, and desserts, describe them in detail and if necessary advise and 'modify' (for instance, if you opt for rabbit but still wonder about the meatballs, she might give you one meatball with your rabbit). Then an army of staff members (the persons in black and others dressed in blue shirts) would bring you lots of amuse-bouches, followed by what you ordered, and throughout your meal keep looking out if you might need something else. The food is good, but by no means supreme. No pastas, risotto, and heaven forbid, no pizza or calzone! In spite of high prices, there's always a queue because the experience is memorable (the dining room is intimate, in line with the service). They have branched out into less upscale versions nearby (caffé, trattoria, even a Japanese fusion eatery?) but the restaurant is the real thing.

Yelp
We are here on vacation and went out as a big group. We had wonderful service. One of the servers Andrea did an excellent job in explaining the menu to us. The servers were always concerned with us. The food was absolutely fantastic. Wonderful Italian cuisine. Very tasty, had the rabbit and was delighted! The restaurant filled up quickly on a week night. Wonderful 5 star experience!

Yelp
Amazing! The food, service and experience. We were made to feel like the staff was taking a personal interest in our table. After choosing our first and second plates we were served TEN apps. They were excellent and not too large to spoil dinner. There were six of us so we had a variety of starters. I had what was suggested by the manager (ricotta cheese with a meat sauce?) and it was excellent. Four of us had rabbit, one steak and I had lamb. Everyone thought their dish was incredible. The boneless leg of lamb is rolled and stuffed. There is lamb gravy and a side of roast cauliflower. I like my lamb med-rare but this was well. You have no choice. It was moist and very tasty. I ordered the raspberry torte and it was amazing! It didn't seem to matter what was ordered because everyone really enjoyed theirs. A GREAT last meal in Florence!

Yelp
Some things are better left to one's memories. It has been a number of years since we last visited Florence and this restaurant. Our return experience was a total disappointment and embarrassment. We had invited some friends to join us for what I promised would be a night to remember. It turned out to be ,but for the wrong reason. To start, our "menu presenter", Christina was rude and condescending. Unfortunately, that was the best experience we had during our 2 hour ordeal. The food was basically non descript, served at "room temperature"small portioned and expensive. The servers who were good, seemed to live in fear of the owner chef and the menu presenter. They were terrified when I requested pepper and some grated cheese for my meal. Christina, the presenter, was quite upset that I had been given these items and pressed me for the one responsible for this "insult". I told her that I always carried these items in my pocket. The final moments of our stay were highlighted by a visit from the owner chef, who acted like a present day dictator. When he noticed our barely eaten meals he asked what was wrong. He became very upset and insulting when we gave our response. He retorted that this was our problem, suggesting that we were unable to appreciate his talents. Despite our repeated offers to pay our bill, which would have been about 400euros, as we basically agreed that we were unable to "appreciate" his food, he would not accept payment Maybe he somehow agreed with our assessment of his food and was embarrassed to take our money. Unlike MacArthur we shall not return

Yelp

Yelp
What makes this place so memorable is the experience. Never have I ever been to a restaurant where there is a person who spits off the menu to you while joining the table with a seat. VERY COOL. I was, however, a bit disappointed with the food itself. If I had a blindfold on and had to chose solely on flavor, theirs sure would not be my pick compared to some of the other places I tried while in Florence.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. Great fun! One of the best places to eat in Florence. No menu.

Yelp
Outstanding food combined with a unique style. Come hungry as the food just keeps on coming. You start with the host/hostess reading you the items of the day. Then a few special items arrive for your tasting. I had the Rabbit Roulade. I have never had anything like it - so delicious. The uniqueness of the food - the presentation and the restaurant itself make this special. On the night we were there it was a bit loud as we had a couple of tables really celebrating. It did not bother us but it was noticed. IF you want a run of the mill - traditional Florentine restaurant - go someplace else. If you want wonderful food - a fun but semi-formal atmosphere- this is a must. It is on the pricier side so be prepared but well worth it.

Yelp
Cannot express enough how amazing and accommodating this restaurant is. I came in super late for a table of one. Accidentally came into the cafe instead of the restaurant. They quickly and swiftly got me a table. The owners - beautiful husband and wife - checked on my table more than once to ensure I was okay. The wife had said she was waiting for mw in the restaurant because the hotel had called, yet I was so happily surprised I stumbled upon the cafe. Couldn't be happier with the meal and the service.

Yelp
This is an amazing culinary experience. A true family run business. The menu features 3 options at 40, 50 or 60 euros. Courses are plentiful and provides a unforgettable meal. Well worth the price. I especially enjoyed meeting the family, the papa acts as the maître d' and the son and daughter deliver a high level of service.

Yelp
Food deserves a 4.5 star but is just shy of a 5. For dinner we ordered 4x €40 sets. Owner is a lively character, looks like a pirate and banters with you. Nice. appetizers: liver pate and ricotta, pickles, tripe, pickled yellow peppers, prosciutto, some yoghurt with green olive oil. For the primero, we had spicy spaghetti with tuna. Pretty good. For secondi, we had stuffed rabbit, cod mousse, beef stew, and spicy squid with watercress. Bavarian fruit tart excellent, chocolate cake slice was so rich, apple strudel was average. Chestnut meringue extremely fluffy and with perfect consistent, cheesecake with peach, good but not outstanding. Definitely worth a try. Extensive tea selection

Yelp
This was one of the best meals we had in Florence. We felt so lucky to stumble upon it. We actually went to Cibreo but learned we couldn't afford it for lunch. Dejected, we walked down the street looking to find another place to eat. Were so excited to learn this place has the same Chef as Cibreo and is right next door but the starter was around $7 and the second course around $15. The quality, however, was incredible and much more enjoyable than the $130 meal we had for dinner earlier that week. The service was some of the best we have had, such a kind, warm waiter who worked with us. The most incredible dish? STUFFED RABBIT, layers of goodness, cheese, herbs. I think it must have been only the second time I ever eaten rabbit due to, well, its a rabbit, and I'm glad I did that here. The meatballs were just OK as they were ricotta meatballs so somewhat bland for me, my friend raved about them. The classic Florentine soup, Ribollita (beans, veggies and bread), I had was hearty and healthy tasting. The side dish of mashed potatoes was divine. My friend loved her soup as well. Our waiter brought us a free slice of delicious flourless chocolate cake. It was fun to look onto the Lampredotto food cart while we were eating, watching every day life in Firenze go by, sipping good wine.

Yelp
Antipasti was different... not good. Red sauce honestly tasted like Ragu or something not made in-house. Also Don't order the Gnocchi... Consistency wasn't good; too liquid-y :) Chairs are uncomfortable. Staff is very friendly. Chocolate sugar cake desert was bitter... Seemingly good area.

Yelp
Great Cappuccino in a cool spot. Must stop in Florence. Visit all of Chef Fabio's spots if you have time. Sold recommendation from Phil Rosenthal

Yelp
Pretty tough to beat this spot in florence. Tuscan cuisine at its pinnacle. Price fixe menu with choices delivered by the owner accompanied by super Tuscan vino. Dessert was the best. I had the blueberry tart. Entree was beef carpaccio and amazing small sides

Yelp
This was where we had one of the best meals ever, anywhere. The food was beautiful and delicious. The service was attentive and warm. The wine was...I can't find words. Especially for the dessert wine (nope, not vin santo). I will make a trip there every time I'm in Firenze.

Yelp
Amazing place (the restaurant) where we left feeling surprisingly full from what seemed like a never ending serving of delicious small plates. I had the chicken and sausage meatballs in the light tomato sauce - fantastic. I recognized at least one celebrity that came through the door. The hostess and service staff sit down and walk you through the nightly customized menu. Pricey but worth the quality and exclusiveness of this special place (make reservations weeks before). The hostess threw in a free slice of lemon meringue when we were trying decide between deserts - thanks! Top 10 best meal I've had outside of the US.
