Cibus

"This restaurant situated in the maze of alleyways that makes up the historic centre of Ceglie boasts tables in a small atmospheric inner courtyard. The restaurant has long been famous for its traditional, regional cuisine and is a must for anyone keen to try typical Puglian specialities. The lamb with roast potatoes is particularly delicious, while the wine list features an interesting selection of regional labels." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely outstanding dining experience from start to finish. I started with the veal tartare paired with stracciatella – a bold yet perfectly balanced dish that set the tone for the evening. The slow-braised lamb that followed was melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich in flavor, and deeply comforting. The pasta course was equally impressive – delicate, fresh, and full of character. Every dish felt thoughtful and executed with precision. Service was warm and professional, and the ambiance made it feel like a hidden gem worth discovering. Truly a meal to remember, can’t wait to come back.

Local must-visit! Delicious food and traditional apulian cuisine. The kind of food that’s made with love and passion. Strongly recommend trying out antipasti platter with a mix of best local treats. Great service and overall ambience. Make sure to have a reservation.

Order and share as many items as you can from their menu so you can really experience this place. The setting is beautiful and romantic, attentive service and most of all-the food is exquisite.

The best restaurant in town! Very good selection of local cheeses and meats. We loved their gorgonsola and pear dessert. I can say that was the best dessert I have ever eaten, and I am a big sweettooth. The girl who served us was amazing.

Overall the experience was very good. We ordered appetisers (which were very tasty and fun to eat so we would definitely recommend them) as well as 2 courses. All of the dishes were quite good, and some were very interesting as well, but unfortunately we thought that the price was too high nevertheless. It was too expensive for the quality of food, and we thought that we would've been just as satisfied with other cheaper restaurants. It is worth mentioning that the service was excellent though. There were multiple waiters, all of which were very helpful and polite.

Had super high expectations from this place. Many people were telling me about the amazing experience . Unfortunately I didn’t find these experience tonight . Maybe a wrong evening ? Location is cool. We were sitting at the caveau. Very humid and hot. Asked to put the AC on and after 30 bad minutes it il was a better temperature but still hot . I hate eating when is hot. Appetizers mix plate was ok. Nothing to die for . We orders the stinco (minimum 4 people ) and it was ok. Very salty and peppery . Not my style . Wines suggested were very good . For €340 I was expecting a better experience Btw : the waiter said he was offering the Amari. The check says I paid for it … no comment

I recently had dinner at Cibus and the occasion was a birthday. I’ve already been to Cibus before and I loved it! We had dinner outside the last time so I had a great memory. While there were some enjoyable aspects, there were also a few disappointments. The restaurant offers a charming outdoor setting that’s perfect for a summer evening—the ambiance outside is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. However, the inside was quite a different experience. It was uncomfortably hot, and the lack of air conditioning made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal. In the middle of summer, this was a significant downside for me. The meal started off on a positive note with a good starter that was flavorful, fresh and nicely served. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t live up to expectations. The lamb meat was very dry, and it was a bit burned outside, a bit disappointing as I was hoping for something more tender and succulent. The pasta with ricotta was served a bit cold, and the ricotta had an overwhelming smell and taste that was too strong for my liking, making it a bit hard to enjoy. On the bright side the wine we chose complemented the meal nicely. Overall, the food itself was underwhelming, and the lack of air conditioning inside made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I would recommend sitting outside if you decide to visit, but I hope they address some of these issues.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. First time I've had sheep and it was delicious. Make sure to get a cheese plate. They have a vegan cheese that is actually insanely good. Go here 100% The waiter Luigi was especially nice and helpful!

Yelp
This place is great! Nice atmosphere, incredible food, and professional staff. As everywhere in Puglia the prices are very decent... My pasta was delicious and my husband mouton very tasty.
