It’s in the basement of an apartment building on 6th Avenue, and we wouldn’t be surprised if some neighbors don’t even know it exists. But if you ever need a charming Italian spot with string lights, white brick walls, and some very good tagliatelle with meatballs as soft as memory foam, this is a spot you should be aware of. "Hiding in the most unlikely of places (in the food court at Navy Pier, stay with us) is Ciccio, a very good stall with an Italian beef unlike any other. The beef is great, the peppers are solid, but there are no dipped or wet options here. There’s only dry, or “in a bath” with slices of garlic taking a soak and a handful of tasty potatoes adding "vibes" like a funemployed friend. Ciccio’s sandwich comes on sturdy bread approximating a mini baguette, and is semi-submerged in a plastic sandwich container.
