So. This is why I need a half star - it's a solid 2.5 stars. It's got a great outdoor patio and the view is incredible. Parking is fine, and the drinks were good. The food was pretty hit or miss, and service was just okay. We came here for lunch after a hike, and we were hungry, and maybe hoping for more than we got.
We got a few apps, and while the flatbread was okay, we also got chips, guac, and queso. They left much to be desired. My dining companions were more colorful than I, but they had some pretty apt descriptions. The queso was of "throwey uppey" consistency, it was like "grocery store guac" in taste and consistency, and the chips were "restaurant style bagged chips that you could buy at the grocery store." Overall, not impressive.
However, our entrees fared better: I had the adult grilled cheese, add chicken, which ended up being a worthwhile addition. The Ahi wedge salad had a solid fish, but the salad part was nothing special. The burgers were good, but the fries were just okay. The service was fine but the kitchen was a hot mess - all our food came out at separate times. The chicken sandwiches were so late, most of us were done eating before they got their food. We also ordered a separate order of fries that never came, which turned out to be a blessing since they weren't all that great anyway.
We went there for the views, and it was worth that. However, for food, I know there are better places in the area.
