Miami’s 12 Best Ceviche Restaurants | Eater Miami

"At its restaurant inside the Lincoln Eatery, chef Nilton Castillo serves ceviche that is perfectly balanced in flavor, showcasing a mix of traditional techniques and unexpected twists. A tiger’s milk iteration keeps it simple with leche de tigre, the citrus-based, spicy marinade traditionally used to cure the fish in ceviche without needing heat. The blend comes in a glass topped with Peruvian corn and crispy plantains." - Juliana Accioly

Miami’s 13 Essential Food Hall Dishes | Eater Miami

"For his light and satisfying trio of soft tacos, chef Milton Castillo fills warm corn and flour tortillas with grilled corvina sprinkled with a seasoning of cayenne, smoked paprika, chipotle, and oregano. For textural contrast, he layers the fish with tender butter lettuce and avocado chunks. Flavors are bumped up ever more with a creamy, spicy mix of chipotle, cilantro and botija sauce." - Juliana Accioly

Google
This place has great Peruvian food, wow! Flavors were so good and fresh. Chef Nilton is a master chef with ceviche and Peruvian cuisine winning awards on South Beach. We got the tacos, tostones with ceviche and two fresh coconuts. All were great! Chef makes everything to order which shows how much he cares about quality food and preparation. The location is so convenient next to Macys on Lincoln Road. Definitely stop in and check this place out! You won’t be disappointed.

I had an amazing experience at this seviche restaurant! The ceviche was incredibly fresh, bursting with citrusy flavor and perfectly balanced spices. Every bite was light, refreshing, and delicious. The presentation was beautiful, and the ingredients were top quality—clearly prepared with care. The Owner Chef Nilton was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, helping us choose the perfect dishes and pairing drinks. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

Google
I would give this a 3.5 star review. While nothing was bad I wouldn’t say anything stood out either. Also, our food appeared less vibrant than images I have seen of other people’s reviews…

Google
I have ordered this dish at every Peruvian restaurants I’ve ever visited and this is by far the best Lomo Saltado to date! I can eat this dish everyday, beef was perfectly cooked and tender, the sauce with the rice is perfect! Chef made it fresh on the fiery wok every Saturday and Sunday. Good job chef 👍

I wish I had taken photos of the other plates. Everything was presented artistically.! Everything is delicious! Different foods together that usually aren’t together made for delicious, interesting, and creative! Very friendly !!

Google
This is located within a food court. Lovely lady doing everything herself so things were very slow (not her fault) Communication issues as I received the to-go version instead of dine in. The Ceviche is really good and fresh. The whole experience would be 5 stars if they are better staffed or use QR order option to mitigate language barriers.

Cilantro in the Lincoln Road Eatery was a total surprise for me. I’ve tried a lot of places around Miami Beach, but this spot has something special. Chef Nilton, who I found out has won some serious culinary awards, knows exactly how to bring out the best in Latin flavors. I started with the tacos, and they were honestly some of the best I’ve had—perfectly seasoned and fresh, with that authentic taste that’s hard to find. The quesadilla was cheesy, packed with flavor, and had that satisfying balance of spice. But the highlight for me? The ceviche. It’s on another level! Fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced—it’s hands down the best ceviche I’ve had in Miami! If you’re a fan of Latin food, give Cilantro a try. It’s a small spot, but the flavors and attention to detail are huge.

Yelp
Listen. I've been here twice and it's been SPECTACULAR both times! I just ordered the daily lunch special and this salad was so refreshing and juicy. It was an out-of-body experience and it was "just" a salad. As someone who grew up eating Peruvian food and loves Peru, this place is a hidden gem. 10/10. **EDIT** I am back for more today (the next day frm original post) So refreshing and filling. The quality stays consistent! I've now had three different lunch specials in two days, and I'm LITTLE!! They serve generous portions. I leave feeling good too.

Yelp
I hate to leave a review like this over a place I had such high hopes for but WOW this was disappointing. As we were waiting to order we were reading all the awards they've won and were looking at the pics of the menu and what we got was nothing that seemed even remotely related. First of all, we asked how long it would take because we were in a rush and they said 10 minutes. It took 45. We then asked if we could get it to go and she said no, but we didn't have a choice and we could not stay. She served it on regular plates anyway and we then had to wait for her to repackage it to go, which was carton with seran wrap which did not go well, especially for the queso fundido which is obviously meant to be eaten quickly and on the spot. In terms of ordering, they had NO ceviche, which seems to be all they won these awards for, so that was disappointing. The fish tacos we got looked NOTHING like they did in the pic - starting with the fact that they were crispy looking, breaded and fried in the pic and in real life they were just a few pieces of fish grilled. Sadly these were the best thing we ordered. The queso fundido tasted like movie theater cheez whiz. The carnitas tacos also looked nothing like the pic. Ugh. Also it was $90 total for all that and two sodas. Complete disappointment and so frustrating to have a rushed lunch that was honestly simply bad.

Yelp
Great value deal with an impressive flavor profile. Ordered off the app "Too Good To Go" and received a jaw dropping deal! *Steak Quesadilla with cheese oozing out of every slice. Perfectly cooked and saucy. The tortilla was crisp and not burnt. Not too oily, with a great buttery taste. *The sandwich was unexpectedly delicious, with a flavor that puts Cilantro's name to the test! Powerful chicken flavor with an unforgettable cilantro sauce that wrapped up the flavor profile perfectly. The bread was not toasty, which is my only complaint.

Yelp
Located in a vibrant and lively SoBe food court, Cilantro 27 offers a delightful dining experience with flavorful dishes that won't break the bank. The service is excellent, and the prices are more than reasonable. If you're looking for a quick bite that's both fast and delicious, Cilantro 27 is the place to go!

Yelp
Food - I got the Mixto ceviche bowl and it was super tasty. It included shrimp, white fish and octopus and the sauce was delicious! It came with sweet potatoes and Peruvian corn - both tasty but wish the portion was a little bigger of the sides (the ceviche itself is as very filling and big portion). It also came with a side of chips (they were slightly stale). But the ceviche was the star - and they recently won an award for their ceviche! Service - this was 5/5. Our server spent time answering all of our questions, was super friendly and gave us some ice cream at the end of our meal! Ambiance - the restaurant was in a food court and was very bright and colorful. There were probably like 10-12 other food booths. Would definitely recommend to others coming to Miami. Award

Yelp
I was attending a conference nearby and we decided to grab a bite to eat in the eatery where Cilantro 27 is located. Cilantro 27 is located in an eatery with a dozen or so other establishments. You can choose from items ranging from burgers to ramen to tacos with a lot in between. Service was a miss. The cashier was not friendly like at all. I was traveling for work so I always like to leave a nice tip for service but they didn't let me. Yes that sounds weird but they just took the POS tablet and rushed it along. The ambiance is nice. The restaurant has a good setup. I ordered octopus tacos. The food took about 25-minutes to come out which was a lot. I don't know if that is usual or not but I would t come for a quick bite based on that. Lastly, the octopus tasted good. I think this place has promise but it may have just been an off day or hour for me.

Yelp
I got a food bag here from too good to go and I would say the food was mixed in how good it was. I got a ceviche tostada that was amazing, nice and fresh and some of the best ceviche I've had. There was this weird spaghetti that was cold but it did not get better after reheating it, I honestly don't know how to explain the taste but I couldn't do it. There was also a chicken quesadilla that was pretty solid and a sandwich with sausage that had flavor but could've used a lot more. Overall it was good, I think the fresher items may be better.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Had the Classic Ceviche Bowl. Mild is the way to go/ not too spicy yet a good mouth feel. The Peruvian corn and sweet potato also very good- but wished there was more in the bowl, Highly recommend this place for the food, ambiance (food court vibe), and the service was personable, professional , and helpful.

Kayla H.

Yelp
I have eaten at Cilantro 27 several times and everything I've ever had is delicious. It is located in the Lincoln eatery on the end near the doors. I like the mushroom tacos, regular tacos, quesadillas with chicken or beef, and ceviche (my favorite). Today I tried the monthly special with rotisserie chicken, steak fries, and salad. The meal came with a ahi Amarillo sauce and chimichurri. The chicken was cooked well and juicy.

Yelp
A little food court stand with a lot of flavor. When you can't decide between Peruvian ceviche or Mexican food, you can get both! The ceviche was a particularly generous portion! Mixto Ceviche Bowl: Priced similarly to ceviche at nearby table service restaurants, but the portion is like 2x as large! The fish chunks were tender and absorbed a lot of the nice citrusy marinade. A ton of octopus that was just the right texture of tender and chewy. And a bunch of plump shrimp. The tortilla chips added a good crunch texture to the seafood, though they should have packaged this separately because some of the chips touching the ceviche got soggy quickly. Speaking of textures, I appreciate that they had both big chewy corn and fried crunchy corn kernels, both going nicely with the ceviche. Queso Fundido Con Chorizo: A big mound of melted stringy white cheese attached to a piece of foil with some chunks of chorizo. It congeals pretty quickly like that, so you might need to microwave it in a bowl at home (peeling away the tin foil first). The chorizo chunks were an odd choice though since most of the time I get queso fundido it has the ground meat chorizo, which travels more evenly over the cheese.

Yelp
From what I know of authentic Peruvian ceviche, I can attest that the ingredients and flavors are perfect! The criollo ceviche bowl was bursting with lemony citrus mixed with fresh cilantro and a zing of thinly sliced red onion. The corn (both a crunchy and soft variety) along with a slice of sweet potato were the perfect balance to the acidity of the ceviche and again, made this signature dish decidedly authentic. The service was helpful and even at this "food court" location, the lady we ordered from still made time to check on us and let us know about a future promotion. The only tiny issue were that the chips on the plate were a tad stale. This place was a perfect choice for cooling off indoors, making a restroom stop, and having a quick bite. Most other places along Lincoln Road are fancier sit down establishments. I didn't expect such a delicious dish at a quick service place so this was a pleasant surprise!

Yelp
This places is Have really delicious Peruvian Ceviche! I brought a couple of guests with me from California to try it out and they loved it Thank you for the awesome food and service.

Yelp
I visited The Lincoln Eatery for dinner with friends on Friday night and one of the MANY restaurants we got food from was Cilantro27 Peruvian Kitchen. I'm a big fan of Peruvian food and was very happy with the freshness of the food and the flavor of the dishes. We tried the tuna nikkei which was OUTSTANDING, their delicious vegan ceviche, an octopus dish in some sort of cream sauce which was very good, and crispy shrimp bao buns (which I was told were one of the best dishes, but I didn't get to sample due to my wretched shellfish allergy) and donuts for dessert: key lime, popcorn/bacon and Ferrero Rocher. Although i'm not a fan of donuts typically, these were tasty. My favorite was the popcorn/bacon. I'm happy to see there's a delicious, healthy, and reasonably-priced option for Peruvian food on Lincoln Road and will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
I was invited to try some of the dishes at Cilantro 27, which is located in the Lincoln Eatery (next to Macy's). It's only been open a few days, but I know it will be a huge hit. I started with the Octopus al Olivo. OMG, if I could eat this for the rest of my life then I would be happy. The olive sauce, burnt pieces of avocado and the perfectly tender octopus was amazing! The beet chips helped me scoop all of the great flavors - the chocolo, olive sauce & octopus. I had to stop myself from licking the bowl lol! Next I tried the Lujoso Shrimp & Grapefruit - the tangy, burnt grapefruit along with the Leche de Tigre was very fresh and light. Next was the Classic Mango Ceviche Cups - this was also very light, fresh and tasty. The plantain cups made it filling so I could definitely grab this for a quick lunch again. The final dish was the Tuna Nikkei Ceviche Bowl. I loved the sweet potato along with the tuna and Nikkei Tiger's Milk. The crunch of the salty Peruvian corn gave it an additional delicious bite. Everything I tried was very fresh and light. The pricing is great to try a few dishes to take home or sit outside in the cute dining area near the front of the Lincoln Eatery. Chef Nilton's excellent service and 5 star plating makes this ceviche bar a winner in this eatery. I had to take some Key Lime Pie home and make an espresso after that amazing meal (food coma ahead!). I hope you are able to try a few of his amazing dishes!

Yelp
The food is 5/5! Amazing and fresh and amazing! . My friend got the octopus tacos and I got the shrimp tostada with mango- cannot sat enough good things about the food. The place is located in what I would call a food court in a corner- Search it out! As others have reviewed - the service is lacking- the time to get our food was ok tho. The cashier was having issues with the credit card machine but couldn't be bothered to acknowledge it. Ended up paying cash. We sat outside to eat and loved the food!

Taylor D.

Yelp
So good! The workers were so nice & the food came out so fast. Not to mention the vibe of the whole food court is so fun. If we were here longer we would definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken tacos with flour tortillas, soooo good!! This place is in one of the Lincoln Road mall little food courts and I was starving! They made it so fast and it truly hit the spot. The flour tortillas had that slightly chewy homemade texture, which I loved. The guacamole on the tacos was very flavorful and the chopped red onions on top made a nice churn here and spice. Tons of chicken but you could still close the taco and it held up to the last bite! Bonus item: fresh squeezed Ginger Lemonade! Wow, so much ginger and so tasty. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great food! A food truck located in Coral Gables area. Chef Nilton immediately honored the discount for Yelp restaurant week, but we gave him the money as a tip anyway for the excellent service. He was friendly and very enthusiastic about his food. He explained that his cuisine is a fusion between Peruvian and Puerto Rican dishes. I thought that was genius! I love mofongo so I was super excited to try the mofongo with lomo salteado ($13). This was a perfect combination of puertorican and peruvian flavors. The sauce of the lomo was excellent when its paired with the creamy mofongo. Fish tacos ($10) were also made with love. I would've preferred for the fish not to be fried but it was nicely cooked. The toppings were fresh and tasty. I love the salsa verde (cilantro based sauce). Delicious!! I can add it to any dish. We also got a sample of ceviche and it was very good. I would order it next time.

Yelp
DELICIOUS. I got the steak tacos and were so big and filling. The quality and portions are excellent and very much well the price. I loved how the owner came up to me and asked me about how I liked the food. He was such a sweet person and his customer service makes me want to come back again and again. This place is definitely the best spot in the food court. Quality and taste you can't match. 10/10

Yelp
A few friends and I came to have what we thought was a "quick" Dinner and this food truck really took us by surprise. I haven't heard of them before but after reading a few reviews I definitely wanted to try it out. When you first see the food truck you wouldn't think too much about it but when the smell hits you you'll know you're about to have a great meal. The idea of a Peruvian,Puerto Rican and even a little Japaneses food truck might sounds crazy but you should definitely give it a chance. I had a few items on the menu. We started with their very famous chicken empanada. It definitely has a kick to it! Something we didn't know but its full of flavor! Worth trying. We also had a few orders of beef taco which you can never go wrong in ordering them! Really good! A friend of ours had the empanada and it was very filling and delicious. My husband had the mofongo and I tried it and I must say so far the best mofongo in Miami! You can pick any topping. I had the beef Bao Buns. The bun doesn't exactly taste like what I've had before but it was still excellent! Overall we loved this new spot. The owner/ Cook is so friendly and was great with our big party. They only have a few tables and chairs so if you're going with more than 4 people then be prepared to eat while standing if there's no chairs but it's worth it.

Yelp
Sooo fresh and hit the spot. The tiny tacos were super flavorful and the perfect lunch snack

Yelp
I came across this food truck driving through the neighborhood so I looked it up on Yelp. The reviews looked really good so I had to give them a try.. They have the cutest little outside set up. Nice tables with chairs with cute flower center pieces. I walk up to the window and I'm greeted by one of the gentlemen in the truck. Now for the good stuff, the food! I ordered the Lomo Saltado and Chicken Mofongo. The portions were pretty big and the prices are good, so I'm not complaining at all. Taste wise it was very delicious! So flavorful and just juicy. Try their hot sauce (picante) with the Lomo Saltado. I didn't find it very spicy but it definitely gave it a bit of a kick. I will be coming back to try some of their other menu options. Great customer service and food. Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed at all!

Emel A.

Yelp
Great ceviche and fish taco. It's a must go place in south beach. Beyond delicious. There are many expensive restaurants and we tried many of them but none of them had such a delicious fish taco n ceviche.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food! My quick review - the food was so delicious and fresh. He cook right on spot every single plate we ask for. And the best part he came out of the truck and serve us at the nice tables he had outside. I just find out that he is opening a restaurant by city center with a his partner. The truck style food it's okay but this type of food really needs to be serve at a nice set up indoor restaurant. He will do very good, because the food is delicious, authentic and cook with love.

Ricardo C.

Yelp
Very good service, the Peruan Seviche was delicious, the Octopus tacos amazing, definetly I want to came back! The food is a hole in one!

Yelp
Amazing experience with Peruvian best traditions food. Very tasty shrimp and octopus ceviche polished with avocados, beet chips and greens. Must have to go in Miami!

Yelp
The food is always amazing and they have delicious specials! The pesto gnocci was SO good and the service is always the best.

Yelp
Ordered the shrimp ceviche w Yellow Leche de Tigre. Good flavor but Duce was way too watery, I would have preferred it to be creamy. As it usually is when I order else where.

Yelp
If you're looking for great ceviche, this is the place to go. I've been here a couple of times and they even run daily specials.

Yelp
Excellent customer service by victor! Came with my mom to treat her to some delicious ceviches with the shrimp. Fish and octopus. Portion size is great especially for Miami Beach. I will definitely come back again. Thank you !

Yelp
Our company set up a food truck day with Cilantro 27 and I wasn't impressed at all. To my understanding our company setup the menu and right off the bat they didn't have the 1st item empanadas which was kind of a let down. I ordered the fish cerviche for $10 and to tell you the truth I have had much better fish ceviche for the same price elsewhere. I also had the fish tacos for $8 and they were very disappointing. The basically had little to no flavor. I have also had much better fish tacos elsewhere for the same price. I was 1 of the 1st 10 to order and it took 45 minutes to get my order. Also very frustrating. They were giving out orders before me that ordered after me. I expected much more from this food truck.

Yelp
Great little food truck in the Shenandoah area. A short drive down the street from Coconut Grove (down 27th). We arrived on a Sunday evening. Chef Nilton welcomed us. We ordered fish tacos and mofongo with lomo saltado. The food took a little time to arrive, but that's okay because we could tell it was fresh. The portions were generous. There were three tacos with big portions of fish. The green cilantro sauce on the side was to die for. Great compliment condiment that I understand they plan on selling by itself at some point. The mofongo was excellent. Moist and full of flavor. Chef Nilton is a genius for combining the mofongo with lomo saltado, two of my fav dishes. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that before. The theme is modern Latin, and they execute it masterfully. Prices are super reasonable. They do takeout as well. We will be back.

Abraham A.

Yelp
Fish Tacos were delicious and great customer service highly recommended going there and their ceviche is great!

Kimberly A.

Yelp
10/10 quality, flavor, and value!! Don't bother going anywhere else for incredible ceviche. I ordered the octopus and the classic ceviche and we left no crumbs. Definitely combine it with a lemonade. Coconut and the ginger lemonade were not too sweet and were perfect pair with the ceviche. Great service as well!

Jorge O.

Yelp
Very very delicious food, the ceviche was incredibly fresh and the gentleman who attended to us was super polite. Best ceviche I've ever tasted from any restaurant ever. Definitely recommend trying if you are in Miami Beach
google avatar

Felix J.

Yelp
People come before food. Cilantro 27 apparently does not agree. I was hosting an event with 100 teachers who were giving up their Saturday to learn how to be better at what they do. Less than an hour before lunch, our contact received an EMAIL, not a call, to say they couldn't make it. That's it! We were left w 100 teachers and no other lunch options. This diss was low and unacceptable.

Yelp
Ok. I needed to run to write this review before the tantalizing taste escaped my tastebuds. I live nearby this parked food truck and have been tempted to try but, I've always been skeptical about eating from food trucks. Boy, am I glad that my first experience was the bomb! This food was awesome ! We had: fish tacos (3 to an order on soft flour tortillas ) fresh, tasty, good portion, perfect combo of fresh veggie(cabbage& tomato) toppings and perfectly served . Lomo saltado - this is the most awsomisimo combo ever. Your tastebuds will go crazy just - umm umm -oh so so good. It's served with his twist of yummy mofongo ( which equals to soft, creamy, tasty delicious) . Now to the Lomo- this meat is soft, tender, moist and perfectly seasoned. Did I mention the portions? YES, finally delicious food paired with great portions Ceviche mixto- lemony cooked, oniony, cilantroy fresh and exceptionally delightful . This is not just a food truck - this is a piece of heaven on wheels .

Yelp
I finally got to try this place out!! They saw me crossing the street and I immediately got my order in. I ordered mofongo with lomo and it was out pretty quickly. Everything was made fresh on the spot! Que si me gusto? I ate the whole plate even though I was stuffed. Definitely coming back to try the ceviche. Thank you!! :)

Yelp
I tried salchipapas; this espectacular South American fast food was very tasty and not greasy at all!. The size and the price were very good!. But the best part of this place is the service. The guy was very nice and helpful!
google avatar

Marilyn H.

Yelp
I can't believe this place has no Stars!! We ordered from Cilantro food truck last Friday & let me tell you it's nothing like your regular food trucks that serve you very little food. They serve Peruvian, Puerto Rican & a couple of Colombian sides. We ordered the Friday special Lomo Saltado, it was very fresh & flavorful! My hubby ordered the Octopus with mofongo (mashed green plantain) it was so good! The ceviche was so Fresh too! I highly recommend this Food Truck! You won't be disappointed! Yum Yum
google avatar

Yelp
Best Ceviche and Mofongo in town! It would be great to have a steady schedule.... just a lottery to find it open when you want to.

Belkis R.

Yelp
So good ! Best of both worlds. Not only is the food fresh and delicious but you also get big portions. I was expecting some mini fish tacos and they were pretty much regular size. This is my first time ordering and definitely not the last. Such a great spot with awesome/ fast service as well.

Yelp
I recently visited Miami for the day and wanted somewhere quick for lunch. I was completely blown away with how amazing the food was and the service was amazing. I got the Tuna on tostones and it was AMAZING. I definitely recommend eating here :)
