Cilantro Taco Grill

Decent taco place, there is small seating area inside. I got the tripe and tongue taco and they were good, they have bottles of hot sauce you can add yourself.

Sad and disappointed. How do you mess up a taco? Can someone please tell me. I ordered for delivery and what a sad day. No red salsa and very very shy and dried asada tacos. Langua ok and the winner for the worse toco iiiissss PASTOR. Big chunk of fat the size of the whole taco. Never again

The young lady behind the counter comes off prejudice. Served us veggie tacos only made of avocado and tomatoe - no other veggies. We dined in yet she gave us our tacos in a Togo bag. I asked for a plate 🍽️ while looking at plates on there shelves and she looked me in my face and said that’s how they serve them Service is horrible here. I do not recommend if you are BLACK!

The food was horrible. The customer service was terrible. I had to go check on my car constantly bc drug addicts were walking around in the parking lot looking extremely sketchy. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time or your money at this place.

For a strip mall taco joint, this place goes above and beyond in terms of flavor and freshness. While a bit pricey, you are paying for a tasty selection of tacos with about 8 different kinds of proteins to choose from. All made to order - right in front of your eyes. Employees are nice too, and the restaurant has ample seating to enjoy your tacos. Highly recommend the chicken and ground beef for your proteins.

I love cilantro I have gone to many of their locations the food was really good like always. Except for the bags of carrots it had a weird flavor like they were in bad condition. But I can say I love cilantro specially Cous I’m from Jalisco too so other than everything is good!!

Steak and chicken tacos were excellent. Guacamole also very good. Salsas and rice too. Cute and clean restaurant. Saw two workers both very friendly. We look forward to coming back!

I ordered 2 barbacoa tortas and an elotes cup. I was served rotten corn in a cup and the tortas did not have edible meat on them. Smelled like canned cat food, definitely canned meat WTH. The bread and ingredients all stale on Torta. Never again.

The taco dinner was so good!! Tacos were amazing, and the cilantro was great. Literally a one minute walk from the purple line. You order at the counter, and the turnaround time is very quick. Good vibes overall-- relatively clean. A cute wall that says "it's good on all."

They have really good tacos and their carne asada fries are delicious. We usually order for delivery when we visit our friend who lives in Lincoln park. They are always so quick to make the food and deliver it. I haven't been to their location so I can't comment on that. But we do like the food and like that there are options for vegetarian/vegans too.

Tacos were delicious, chicken and steak. Excellent Guac. Salsas very good too. Nice friendly staff. We will definitely eat here again! Clean and cute restaurant.

Now that I am feeling better than last week I can leave a review. So I come in here often so I can't believe I have to complain. I was given BAD steak meat. The meat was dull no color no brown anywhere. I thought I was tripping but was trying not to be that person. I couldn't take a picture because my phone was broke. Hours after eating the taco dinner I started feeling nauseous like sweating, not being able to sit up. I ended up vomiting, from both mouth and anus for DAYS. I tried calling twice. My name and number was taking down twice yet no one called. Now this makes me think of the time I was eating there and a woman saw the cook drop his cooking utensil on the FLOOR and picked it up. Did not wash it off and kept cooking with it. Now I'm scared to come back. My favorite spot at that. Thanks for not calling thanks for giving me bad steak meat. I had so much fun being shitty and not being able to eat.

This Cilantro Taco location is excellent! Great steak tacos! Food comes out very quickly, and it's not usually very busy. The rice and salsa are great as well! It really helps that this place has a parking lot unlike the location in Lincoln Park. It's not the biggest location, but I think they do a lot of take out and delivery business.

For fast tacos that are great, this is the place. It can get busy and crowded inside but damn those tacos are good. I can see why these are popping up all over the place. Yummy

Had the Steak Tacos, they were terrific! Definitely making this a regular stop. Ery clean and a nice atmosphere. We chise to eat in the restaurant.

Food is delicious. My kids loves the tacos just as much as hubby & I did too. We will definitely return

Cilantro is what chipotle wishes it was. Not only is it way better service but the food is absolutely delicious. They even give several different types of flavorful salsa, giving a more authentic experience. The food is priced great for the large portions and they have lots of options. I'm glad this came to the neighborhood!

I Just noticed this place and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I ordered a sampler plate "cilantro dinner" and I loved all the items: chicken taco, pork tamale, and chicken quesadilla. The beans were awesome, the rice okay. I was super pleased with the portion size, I couldn't finish it. The eat in area is clean and bright and the service was really attentive.

If you want good food, come here!!! So fresh so good!!! I had a steak taco with onions and cilantro and a steak quesadilla. Sooo delicious!!

LOVE the tacos and burritos here! Fresh ingredients and full of flavor! Their green hot sauce packs a punch and adds a nice heat! Friendly and fast service. I am surprised that they do not have a shrimp option but the tacos are my absolute fave! I tried beef tongue in my taco for the first time and it was actually really good!

Are you tired of paying more and getting less for your money at the other Mexican fast food franchise? Are you also tired of paying for chips? Well here is your solution! I can see this franchise all over and killing the competition. Glad to see they are busy and still maintain a high quality product. Definately making this place my go-to from now on. Added bonus, Mexican music playing in the background. I don't know why I waited so long to come. DON'T WAIT. Try it out and see what I mean.

this place is soooo damn good. after a long night out, the burritos are the best. I used to live off Wells and this was like weekly dinner. Better than Chipotle x100000. Good service, even better food

I live nearby and often pick up tacos for dinner or after a night out. They are always fresh and they always hit the spot. Last night, I was coming home from a work trip with no food in the fridge, so I called in an order for pickup. I usually get the asada tacos, but decided to switch it up and get half asada and half cecina. I confused the cecina for the lomo de res and the cecina comes with refried beans, which I don't like. I went back in today to see if I could get them replaced (I didn't realize I had ordered the wrong thing until the gentleman behind the counter kindly explained that the cecina tacos are the only ones with refried beans.) They were SO friendly and understanding. They offered to remake my whole order (including the asada tacos that I ate last night.) This customer service was above and beyond in my book. It was most certainly my mistake, but they still went out of their way to make me a happy customer. I love this place and will continue coming back - not just for the great tacos, but also for the superb customer service.

Great authentic street tacos. Homemade tortillas. Fresh ingredients. The vegan tacos are delicious. My husband loves the pastor, asada, barbacoa and carnitas tacos. And the green sauce...you really can put it on all. Totally worth it!

I'm a major fan of Cilantro. The prices are reasonable, the portions are large, and the food is seriously good. It's a better Chipotle. I really appreciated how 'fresh' everything tasted relative to typical fast food / fast casual fare. The salsas could be slightly more differentiated, but that's a very minor critique of what's one of the best fast casual lunch spots I've been to.

I have never been to a Cilantro Grill before and was pleasantly surprised. This place is pretty tucked away in the corner .... I didn't notice it was there for a long time but decided to try it today. What was funny is Yelp must not have noticed it either because I had to create its business page. I always thought Cilantro would be a worse version of Chipotle. I was surprised today to find it is a much better version of chipotle. I got the steak burrito and it was great. The only thing I didn't like was the "spicy" sauce which was light green and not what I was expecting. I'll try a different sauce next time but it didn't matter because the burrito was great with no sauce. I will come back for sure. Other people need to find this place or it will go out of business. Try it today!

I hadn't been to this location yet but have been to their Lincoln Park location a couple of times. Prices are ok considering prices everywhere are pretty ridiculous these days. I ordered a chicken burrito and got plenty of their green salsa on the side. It came out quickly and tasted comparable to their other location which is usually a good thing. The only thing that I didn't like about the burrito was that the beans and cheese were cold. This may be a personal preference but I prefer melted cheese and beans that are actually warm in a burrito. However, the chicken was very flavorful and the tortilla was nice and toasted. The person behind the register was also very nice. Despite my gripe about the temperature of the components of the burrito I ordered, it was an overall good experience and I will likely be back, especially since it's right near the Sedgewick station. They're also open pretty late compared to other places in the area. I would definitely recommend it if you in the mood for Mexican and can't go down to Pilsen. They also have quite a variety of protein offerings which is something I really appreciate.
