We couldn't be happier as wine club members at Cinder Winery. The service is always excellent. The employees are always friendly and remember you as you walk into the winery. In addition to great wine, fun events, rotating artwork there's also excellent food choices and fun merchandise. The atmosphere inside is open with many great seating options as well as enjoyable seating outside for the time when the weather is nice outside.

Google
We ordered at the bar and then took our glass and wine bottle to the table of choice. Plenty of seating. Clean.

Google
Great ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent wines. People bring their full size dogs and their own food as well.

JP Chastain

Google
The staff is knowledgeable beyond something akin to a downtown Boise wine spot, has character and is one of the finest ambiances in Boise. Take a night to truly enjoy a hidden Garden City gem.

Google
We had such a lovely time. Debbie was our sommelier, and she really knows her stuff. The wines are delicious and it was hard to choose which to buy. Thanks Debbie! ❤️

Google
We travel harvest host. Great experience. Staff was very professional and welcomed us.

Google
There wines were pretty good. They had an ice wine we thought was ok but it was pricy with other ice wines in the area. We felt uncomfortable by the staff either because we did not appear to be higher class or because we were mixed race couple. Would not feel comfortable going back there.

Google
Stopped by with my parents for a tasting. There were plenty of seats available but the hostess was very rude and acted like we were a bother. Worst customer service/mannerisms for a hostess and worst first impression I’ve ever had at any winery. If all the spots were taken with a reservation, she could have just said that right away. We have had their wine in the past and were very excited to try more in person. I will never buy their wine again and will recommend against them strongly for anyone inquiring.

Yelp
What a great winery tastings. We had a great visit and really like the lady who tells us a flavor wine and such great personally. We been there like 2 hour. Very best and very cozy.

Yelp
We LOVE Cinder! We are members are frequently visit for a glass of wine with friends. The service and atmosphere are phenomenal and welcoming. All the wines are delicious and the bottles are so beautiful! We love the flask program and fill our flasks on a frequent basis :) We will continue to be members for years to come!

Yelp
The food was not great - overcooked and just not flavorful or tasty. However, service was great and the ambiance is very cute!

Yelp
A lovely wine tasting spot! The person who poured and explained our wine tasting did so in a lovely and friendly manner. The wines each tasted great and did not disappointment. One of our party was a bride on her bachelorette weekend and she got extra love from this place.

Yelp
Out of all the wineries we visited, Dave was the most helpful when it came to ordering. You could really tell that he absolutely enjoyed his job. We got here right before last call so we had enough time to order a glass but not do a tasting. I would absolutely love to come back and have Dave walk us through his favorites. He also had great tips about different things to do the next time we visit. I ended up with a glass of the Valentina - which was a delicious blend. The tasting room was extremely welcoming and comfortable. I could definitely see hanging out for a bit while enjoying the wine. I'd absolutely come back here again to enjoy more of their wines.

Yelp
Stopped into Cinder to meet up with friends. VERY nice tasting room. Ample space, lots of nice conversation sets to it in comfort. Our server was awesome, she had us taste a few to make sure we bought something we liked. The make a nice cheese board as well. We stayed quote a while and enjoyed the presentation, the wines are pretty good, and location and facility are really nice. They even have an art gallery upstairs. I did enjoy my wine, but there are some other Idaho wines have have enjoyed more. Saying, that, I wouldn't count Cinder out. Everyone likes different wines and Cinder has many to chose from. I think you are missing out if you skip this gem in Garden City.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Great place with fun atmosphere. Make a reservation for a tasting. Staff is well trained and wines are special. I live near The Napa Valley so am familiar with good wines. A nice find in Garden City.

Yelp
Fine winery for tasting or a glass of wine with friends. Their outdoor area is very spacious but it was a warm day so we sat in the mezzanine. Very friendly staff! A large variety of wines and beers to choose from. We also ordered their cheese board with some extras. Perfect for small bites to share with friends.

Yelp
When in Boise one of my stops every time. This time came in for a tasting instead of stopping in to just to buy bottles. Had to call ahead for a reservation but so worth it. Great wines available to taste and such a great atmosphere. The GSM Rose and the Temperanillo so delicious! Just remember to call ahead for a reservations. Our server Riley was so knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Had such an enjoyable visit! I will always stop in and enjoy some Cinder wine!

Yelp
I will start by saying I think this location is ridiculous. it's so hidden you would never know it was there unless you were looking for it! hidden gem i guess. garden city is definitely being revitalized and this place is on the forefront of starting that movement. the building is a converted warehouse that's warm and welcoming. they have an awesome patio out front with lots of tables with umbrellas and fancy fire pits. the inside is a 2-story tasting room with a bar area, lots of couches, and toward the back is a stand up bar. we came on a saturday without a reservation so they put us up the stairs in their art gallery which has hip leather chairs and a view of the whole building. I love their wine. they are not an estate winery but the owner really takes pride in her varietals. the valentina is seriously sooo good. I had 2 glasses of it. bought a bottle for later. my mom is obsessed with their white wines- particularly the laissez-faire white and the sauvignon blanc. they also have cheese plates that I saw go by which looked delicious. if you're looking for a good wine tasting experience inside boise limits I suggest cinder and telaya for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
Wonder ambiance with a nice open tasting room. Amazing service that is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Didn't try the food but occasionally they have a food truck outside that is awesome.
google avatar

Robbin M.

Yelp
Visiting a new city and made a marvelous find! You would never guess far off in the industrial area is this little hidden gem. Staff were most helpful and they even stayed late for us. One of my favorites was the Laissez-Faire red blend. They even have cheese trays and a few snack items. Definitely a return location

Yelp
Cinder is absolutely, by far my favorite local winery. Melanie and Joe do such a wonderful job creating unique and different wines with the grapes that they source from. As a wine club member, you have access to the fall and the spring release parties which are epic! Every wine that they release is paired with a small plate that is specifically designed to enhance the wine it is paired with. The one that they are having this year is more Covid specific where everyone is seated and they bring the pairings to you. It was still fantastic but I'm really looking forward to the post Covid release parties again! You can come in for a tasting (also free to wine club members) and leave with a growler filled with whatever was your favorite. Their newest wine that they released this fall is a Verdejo which was absolutely fantastic. Crisp and complex but perfect with the summer heat right now. Get down there for a try and have their expert staff educate you on their wine. If you sign up for the wine club tell them I referred you!

Yelp
Call ahead to make reservations for indoor wine tastings- otherwise fun (umbrella covered) outdoor seating avail (during pandemic) on first come first serve basis. There is truly something for everyone. Low to high tannin, low to high oak (new to aged oak...) & whole as well as crushed red, rose & white. Great space, lots of education on wines... & women vintner! Definite recommend! Oh & Gewurtztraminer!

Yelp
Love love love. And not just because I'm tipsy. This is my second visit to Cinder and it has been top notch both times. Today we came for my sister's birthday and enjoyed a white wine tasting and mix of red and white. We also ordered a cheese plate and added the olives. Oh my...where to start. My favorite wines were the 2018 Dry Viognier and the Rose of Cinsault and we brought home bottles (which means one of our tasting fees was waived!) I don't even normally like Rose, but this vintage bewitched me! The cheese plate was so good! Stinky cheese, smoked almonds, dried fruit and buttery olives. Plus the best ever gluten free crackers. Our server was incredible. She answered all of our questions, took our group photo and brought us a few extra tastings. They also waived the tasting fee for the birthday girl! We loved every minute!
google avatar

Yelp
Located in a warehouse Cincder has made the large space feel upscale and inviting. Plenty of space for seating downstairs, upstairs with an art gallery, and outside. We tried five whites and reds available on the tasting menu. The girl at the back bar was nice but the place was very busy. Unfortunately if you don't make a reservation you must go to the back bar and get up for each pour which may include standing in a long line. This ruined the experience for us. We also didn't get much information about each wine. No information was offered unless asked . For $20 the cheese board was cheap feeling on a disposable plate with plastic knives that could barely cut through the cheeses. We liked some of the wines but didn't love them. Overall we felt like it was a pretty lack luster experience. I would highly recommend having a reservation so that you could learn more about the wines and sit in the nicer area or by the full tasting room bar.

Yelp
Had a 50th birthday for my wife there. This was great. The staff was incredible and they took care of everything. I'm not a wine guy but my wife and her friends are and they loved it. My wife liked it so much she's getting a membership. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
We are long time wine tasting enthusiasts, having grown up tasting in the Willamette Valley and then later in life in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Russian River Valley and Sonoma/Napa Counties. The wine here is absolutely delightful! They have a wide line of whites including Vionyer, Suva Blanc, Dry Gewurtztraminer, and Riesling. They also do a few reds including Tempranillo and a red blend. Top to bottom, there is not a single wine we don't love. We are picky and this is the first winery we have every been members at. They source most there grapes locally whenever possible, and don't grow any themselves. Wines are reasonable with several options under $20/bottle with their higher end reds in the $30's and low $40's. This is not the vineyard with sweeping views, but what you do get is a female wine maker whose wines rival any I have experienced.

Yelp
We're in town from Denver visiting family, and this is the second time we've been here. Dang, we love it here. When we're here, everyone here makes us feel like family. Just the nicest folks. Y'all are awesome. Not to mention, we can't get enough of this wine. That Viognier is *chefs kiss* and we're here for it. The venue is gorgy and just so cool, and we could easily spend the whole day here and be perfectly content. Thanks for being so welcoming and accommodating - we'll be back again next time we're in town!
google avatar

Yelp
We have been here multiple times, they got a nice setup with bar, tables and a balkony. In Summer they have additional outdoor seating. The wines are pretty good and we usually take a few bottles home. We didn't try any of the charcuterie boards this time but we had them in the past. It's a nice stop after our walks and bike rides also close enough to the Greenbelt.
google avatar

Lori G.

Yelp
We had a wonderful evening of wine and yoga here and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting! The wine is wonderful and they have some great gift boxes for the holidays. I highly recommend Cinder go check it out! You will feel warm and wonderful on these cold days.
google avatar

Yelp
Another great warehouse winery/tasting room. You really get a "wow' factor when you enter. Very nicely decorated. Looks like a sonoma/napa tasting room inside. we were greeted by a very friendly woman. we discussed our likes as far as wine goes, and she assembled a tasting for us. We really liked most of the wines (not big white wine fans), and even bought 4 bottles. They have live music from time to time, and well definitely be back to sample more wines, and listen to music.

Yelp
I'd heard great things about Cinder, so when I visited Boise I wanted to make sure I stopped. We had an amazing time. Both the white and red wines were fabulous. So if you're an equal opportunist wine drinker, I highly recommend! The prices are fair and affordable. We even joined the wine club! There are multiple options for flights/tastings and cute apparel to browse. The best part of the visit was our associate, Riley. She was knowledgeable, fun, witty and took the best care of our rambunctious group. I whole heartedly recommend Cinder. :)

Yelp
Moons ago, Garden City was thus named for the many gardens that once bloomed here. While those days are gone, the recent revitalization of arts, wine, and beer in today's Garden City perfectly keeps with this abundant history. Cinder is the perfect example of one of the many fantastic things happening in Garden City. Tucked just off Chinden, wonderful wines from grapes grown in the Snake River Valley area are being made in this local winery. I was lunching with a friend at the nearby Cobby's, when we decided to extend the afternoon with wine tasting at Cinder. Their tasting room is large and beautiful and the service we received was excellent. We were able to try a few different wines. Their Syrah and Tempranillo were two that definitely stood out for me. I also went home with a bottle of their Laissez Faire White, which is a solid every day sort of white blend. The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, and approachable in their knowledge and expertise. There are no pretensions here--just great wine served with kindness. If you're ever looking for something to do on a Saturday afternoon beyond the usual--wine tasting with Cinder is sure to provide a pleasant experience. Get to it!
google avatar

Kati D.

Yelp
Paul created a fantastic wine tasting experience for my friend and I, walking us through Cinder's different wines, and teaching us about their histories. The wines were all really good, and we ended up leaving with a few bottles each! They also had a great cheese board available, which paired incredibly with the wines. You do need to make a reservation in advance to do a tasting, but it's definitely worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
Cinder is a great spot to try wine while in Boise - their new tasting room and production facility was one of the first in the Garden City area! One of my favorite things about the space is that they allow local artists to showcase their works in the loft - which you can purchase - and proceeds go 100% back to the artist, which isn't always true. Cinder is well-known for their Viognier and is definitely worth a taste. Would love to come back and spend a little more time here to taste more wines!
google avatar

Yelp
What a fun afternoon we had at Cinder! Very reasonably priced and delicious wines. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We went there for my birthday celebration and they comped my wine tasting which was so surprising and kind. Definitely check this rare gem out!

Tad S.

Yelp
Just stopped in to try a few wines. Apparently this is a terrible idea. From the door we felt like we had interrupted their day. While I get having reservations, this is Garden City Idaho, supposedly our friendly neighborhood. No one checked in with us after pouring the wine--we had been there for over an hour and we weren't even offered water. One young man was delightful but not one person talked to us after handing us our wine. Literally the worst experience in wine tasting ever.

Carol K.

Yelp
Wonderful music with Quabe trio and Thomas Paul with Andy Byron group! Wine and service was excellent. A great night!
google avatar

Dennis P.

Yelp
Very comfortable environment inside. The whole staff is great Nd very knowledgeable about the region's wine as well as the Cinder brand. We did the tasting which is $10.00 but if you purchase a bottle it is free. Donna took great care of us and explained all the wines we tasted. All the wine we tasted were very tasty. They also have a small area where they sell hats, shirts, and wine related products.

Tacy L.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience at Cinder! The tasting room was lovely. They have a nice variety of wines and all that we tasted were delicious. Best tasting I have had in Idaho! My favorites were the Syrah and Tempranillo. Yum!
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Great and friendly staff and service. The cheese board is overpriced ($13) but definitely compliments a wine tasting. Overall a good experience but you shouldn't have to bus your own table when it gets too crowded.
google avatar

Eric M.

Yelp
We LOVED this place! The space is beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating. The wine is top notch. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Cinder!
google avatar

Chelsey L.

Yelp
My favorite winery ever! I come to Idaho once or twice a year to visit a friend, and we have to come here for a tasting every time. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is very relaxing, and the wine tastes amazing. I'm always sad when I finish a bottle I've brought home, but excited to go back and replenish my supply!
google avatar

Bruce E.

Yelp
Have to love quality wines provided in a safe environment. What to go! Do not forget their Roses. It is summer.
google avatar

Kristen E.

Yelp
I came here with my daughter and her boyfriend who just moved to Boise. What a find! The wines are delicious and their atmosphere has a great vibe. We were lucky enough to have the enchanting Kari assist us and she made the trip a home run. I will be back whenever I am lucky enough to visit.
google avatar

Dale B.

Yelp
My wife and I love this winery for multiple reasons. First of course is because they are local. Secondly, the wine is fantastic. Lastly, the people are super friendly. Today is barrel tasting with the wine makers.
google avatar

Timothy G.

Yelp
What a fantastic winery! My wife and I went to Cinder for a wine tasting today and had a FANTASTIC time! Wonderful staff, amazing wines, and just a great overall atmosphere. I will definitely be going back soon. If you have a chance, check out their Rosé wine.... amazing!!!
google avatar

Mandi A.

Yelp
Some of the best wine in Idaho!!!! I love their syrah, tempranillo and red blend!! All amazing!! The atmosphere is remodeled and really nicely done. The staff is very knowledgeable about wine and you can feel the passion they have for their craft. I enjoy a wine tasting with my friends or just a glass of wine while enjoying one of the many events they have there. Live music and local artists are my favorite. I do have to say I always find the location odd...on Chinden, but worth a stop if you find yourself in the area!
google avatar

Rachael F.

Yelp
I love this wine, this space & this experience! Whether you want to spend the afternoon casually sipping wine, or just stop in for a glass & a cheese plate, Cinder is the place to be! Plan accordingly though, they have limited hours- the only downside! The Rosè of Syrah is my fave right now!

Michael Q.

Yelp
Just dropped by for a wine tasting, but "Oh, MY!". The food...the wine...I think I actually sighed.

Shelly H.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at Cinder! Delic chardonnay and yummy cheese plate! Staff friendly and attentive. Fun, energetic vibe. People obviously love this place! Also almost accidentally parked illegally but an employee saw us and graciously warned us. Phew! Definitely coming back!!

Sara C.

Yelp
We went last weekend and had the most amazing time!! Knowledge of wine by staff was impressive. We went to another winery afterwards and was very disappointed. Amazing wine, staff, and location!!
google avatar

Kristine G.

Yelp
The tasting room is gorgeous. The wines were delicious and the person serving us, Kari was entertaining, knowledgeable and magnetic. I will be back!
google avatar

M K.

Yelp
We stopped at Cinder about an hour before closing time, and ended up spending almost an hour there. Donna was an extraordinarily knowledgeable server, even allowed a couple of extra tastings to show off their excellent wines.
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
This is an absolutely amazing little winery in the heart of the growing garden city area. If I was so inclined I would make this the centerpiece of a local winery/brewery tour. We hung out with Joe in his beautiful tasting room well past closing and bought a bottle of their outstanding syrah for ourselves and their only slightly less fantastic rose for the party we were headed to. This place is awesome! UPDATE: Also, I recently heard that the gift store at the airport had a case of their 2010 syrah (which is now sold out), so I went over there and bribed the cashier at one of the stores before security to get someone working at the shop behind security to sell them all to me. Can't wait to drink them!

Cassidy P.

Yelp
Donna was amazing! First time going wine tasting in Boise and it was extremely comfortable and a great vibe. Donna was not only knowledgeable, but didn't take the "sales pitch" like most wineries do.
google avatar

Sonya C.

Yelp
Cinder makes fantastic wine! This is my new favorite winery. The space has a cool comfortable vibe, with really great people who are knowledgeable about wine and are genuinely passionate. Visited twice on my recent trip to Boise. My first time was a short side excursion during a lovely bike ride on the Greenbelt. They are only a few blocks off of the path, and we biked over for a tasting. They have many delicious varieties and I enjoyed them all. The Rose in particular really impressed me, because I usually find them too sweet. It was so good, we went back the next day and enjoyed a glass of wine and a tasty cheese plate with friends. Absolutely had to purchase a case + of several different wines to bring home with us. If I lived closer I would definitely join their wine club.
google avatar

Kendra O.

Yelp
Easily my favorite winery in Garden City! I make sure I visit every time I'm in town. The staff is always friendly and attentive. My favorite is the Dry Viognier, but you can't really go wrong with any of their wines.
