Went to Cindi's today for brunch and decided to have BREAKFAST! I had the Bacon and Sausage omelette and the wifey had the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. We both had decided on the pancakes and hash browns as our sides. The protein portion of our food was excellent; my omelette was delicious and the wife enjoyed her steak. The hash browns and pancakes, however, left much to be desired. The hash browns were flavorless and soggy. The "crust" wasn't crispy, and overall they were passable. The pancakes were gritty gritty and "dense" (not fluffy). It was almost like eating a piece of flavorless French toast. We had to drown these dry pancakes in order to make them passable as well. The service was amazing and the prices are what you'd expect eating out these days. The atmosphere was welcoming and old school, reminiscent of eating with Grandma at her favorite diner. We'll definitely be back, just hope the sides are better next time!

I have come here three days in a row the food was so delicious. I give this place a 10 everything. They have not let me down. The customer service is immaculate here. Thank you, and you don't have to worry if I will be back because I will. The first time I came, I had the Country Fried Steak for breakfast yawl. They are better than I hop and Denny's hands down.

Google
I enjoyed my overall experience here. My waiter was friendly and attentive. Our food came fast and it was hot! I find the prices to be very reasonable especially with the portions. And overall the restaurant was a clean and open space. We ordered the Deli Omelette w/ hash browns and a side of pancakes. The Omelette was okay, I wish it would’ve came with cheese and some veggies, we ordered all the meats so it was kinda dry and just texture wise, needed more. Personal preference on the hash browns, we do like ours a little harder. The pancakes were thick and fluffy and you can’t go wrong with that. We also ordered the French toast, blueberry compote topping. I love these French toast, I would come back just for them. I just ordered cheese eggs on the side which you can’t go wrong with that. They also offer a bakery section with fresh goods. They allll looked so scrumptious and tasty, we will have to come back for that.

Google
Ordered the corned beef turkey and Swiss sandwich. The turkey and corned beef was very fresh and delicious. The pickles are good the only thing was I wish I would’ve ordered the coleslaw instead of the potato salad maybe it would been more flavor to it. 9.5/10 :-)

Google
I was starving so I stopped at Cindi's for lunch. The moment I but into my turkey melt I felt a rush of flavor and a feeling of satisfaction. The turkey was hot, the cheese melty, and the bread was crispy. The fries were super fresh and hot. Genuinely one of my best sandwich lunch experiences in Dallas in forever. Thank you, Cyndi's Deli! Can't wait to come back for another bite.

Google
Cindy's is exactly what it puts itself out there to be, an old-fashioned deli/diner. There are standard fare breakfast items, along with all the deli sandwiches you'd expect. As is the cast in most northeastern restaurants, Cindy's also offers liver and beef tongue, which aren't normally found on menus in Dallas. Today we had hot pastrami sandwiches with potato salad and a side of onion rings. The pastrami was piled high, and the food was good. If you like delis/diners from the northeast than Cindy's is worth a try if you're near one.

Dana T.

Google
OMG! This is huge Tuna Melt on a Rye Bread with Sweet Potato Fries only here on Cindi’s NY Deli & Restaurant. Bon appetit.

Tawana V.

Google
Eating at Cindy's was a pleasant experience there is a lot on the menu to choose from which is ok because it gives you a chance to try something different the next time you go. My brother's had the Reuben, The Reuben with corned beef, and a side of Corned beef, I had the fried catfish with fried okra. The food was good and fresh. There is a wait to get in which let's you know the food is really good. If you don't live in Dallas and can't make the drive often do yourself a favor and take a sandwich home for later and make sure you check out the dessert counter.

Yelp
Lovely place to eat at! Great food and even better customer service! They definitely check off all the boxes

Yelp
My husband knows how much I love bagels from the east coast. He found this place and thought we'd try it out. It was full - lots of laughter and conversations all around. It was a nice "homey" feeling. Our waiter was attentive and quick. I ordered the blueberry bagel with cream cheese. It was good. I also ordered the poppy seed cinnamon roll. On this day, I learned something about poppy seed - Do not eat it when you have a drug test the next day. Isn't that crazy! Thank you for letting me know about this! haha! Anyways, we'll be back to try the different breakfast selections.

Yelp
Cindi's never disappoints!! Egg Crème, yes please!!! I should've just ordered two frankly because they are that good. tuna melt was spot on and we can never forget to leave without some black-and-white cookies.

Yelp
This is the place I go to splurge on all of the food my doctor says I should cut back on. Cindi's is more like a diner where you can breakfast, lunch or dinner anytime of day. The place is busy all of the time, but the staff are good at getting you seated and served right away. Drink refills happen regularly and without asking. You can't leave here dehydrated unless you just aren't putting the glass to your lips. It has that diner vibe. Tables and chairs in the middle of the room and booths all along the windowed walls. It's very casual. Food is adequate in presentation and taste. It feels manufactured for the masses. It doesn't make me long to return, but it is a good amount of food for a decent price which means you won't leave hungry or broke. The menu is long and varied which means you can bring a large group or your picky eaters and everyone will find something that leaves them satisfied.

Yelp
Came here two days ago for a quick breakfast! I ordered the migas (mixed with onion, tomato, & jalapeños) with some salsa, a side of hash browns, & your choice of tortillas (corn or flour)! My boyfriend ordered the breakfast special which comes with pancakes, bacon, sausage (he added them), and a side of hash browns! Both plates were very yummy & great prices too-- not expensive compared to some other places. Great service. I didn't catch the our servers name but she was very kind and attentive--everyone was really. Has a very old school vibe- very diner like. It's sweet. I will definitely come back!

Yelp
The stacks of pancakes were fluffy, and the bacon and eggs were tasty. The New York Style Combo 3 was satisfying, though it appeared larger in the advertisement photos. The kreplach was flavorful, but the matzo ball lacked seasoning. There was ample parking, the bathroom was clean, and the customer service was excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food at a reasonable price. They have a great senior breakfast that includes all the food groups. Staff are sweet and efficient.

Yelp
Excellent as usual, clean, food great and well seasoned. Good variety of selections. Recommend the chopped liver and onion rings

Yelp
Cindi's NY Deli & Restaurant is a New York style deli, bakery, and all-day breakfast restaurant located in the DFW area. There are multiple locations, and this review focuses on the Cindi's located in Dallas off Forest Ln. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Cindi's off Forest is your friendly neighborhood café. All the patrons are friendly locals. There is a separate area for its bakery and deli, and plenty of booth and table seating. There's even a waiting area - a nice touch as it can get busy. On my Sunday lunch visit, Cindi's was packed and full of energy. 1 Star. Service - Our server was super busy, but it didn't stop her from being amazing. The staff is so well trained they appear to handle multiple things at the same time. Even with a packed restaurant, our server didn't miss a beat. When done, you pay at the counter, which makes check out super easy. 1 Star. Food - Cindi's is a New York Style deli and is very popular with the Jewish community. For me, I'm a fan of the Banana Nut Pancake. These delightful pancakes are made with buttermilk batter and generously studded with pecans and fresh slices of banana are layered on top. Add syrup and a dollop of whipped butter and all these elements come together to create a great bite. I'm also a fan of Cindi's Latka. These golden-brown delights are made with grated potatoes, onions, and a touch of seasoning. Not gonna lie - while they're served with sour cream and apple sauce, I like to dip mine in ketchup. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. If you're Jewish, Cindi's is the perfect place for you. If you just like a good breakfast with great service, Cindi's is also a great place. See you next Sunday! 1 Star.

Yelp
We came here on 1.21.24 for the first time - jonesing for some good NY-style deli food. The place, from the setting and feel inside, lets you know it's gonna be good. For starters we split a cup of Matzo Ball Soup and two latkes. The soup was delicious, full of flavor, and clean-tasting. The latkes, served up with sour cream and apple sauce, were amazing. They had a wonderful taste and texture. My lunch order was the Veggie Melt with fries; my woman got the Tuna Melt with sweet potato fries. We then did "splitzies" and shared our orders evenly between us. The Veggie Melt was incredible. It contains grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms held together with avocado slices and melted American cheese. Full of gooey goodness from the cheese and the satisfying crunch of the veggies, eating it was akin to eating veggie fajitas. Not that that is a bad thing. My fries, too, were on point - crispy and warm. We each were not as big a fan of the Tuna Melt. The rye bread it came with was somewhat overpowering and the tuna salad taste faded into the background. Not a bad sammie, but it didn't stack up next to the other one. The service here was amazing. The best thing we ate here: the Veggie Melt. We cannot wait to come back try other selections from their super diverse menu.

Yelp
Took my sister here for her birthday. To be 2 years younger than me to the day, she acts like she is 30 years older to restaurant staff. I always feel sorry for those poor servers and kitchen staff. Cindi's is used to those type of patrons and why I brought her here. They did a great job modifying every quirk she added. For me, Cindi's always makes it the way I like it! This trip, I had a chicken fried steak and it was perfectly prepared and the side salad was exactly what I needed. Sorry for the late photo, but between my sister's sour demeanor and the really good food, the Yelp review photos were an after thought. This location is well maintain and is bright and cheerful! The staff deserve a medal for taking care of my sis!

Yelp
Food: very good Service: excellent Prices: good for the amount of food given Old style diner with good food! I loved it!

Yelp
We like this place...you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner all day long! But what keeps us going back is Jaunita! After the 1st time we sat in her section, we ask for her section every time. She is so kind and makes us feel like we are in her home. She's attentive and quick to bring refill or whatever. Go to Cindi's and ask for Jaunita's section and you will be hooked too. We have ordered an array of things from the menu and everything has been really good! Their chicken broth for the soups is homemade and has a great flavor. The bagel chips are delicious with any soup. We've ordered eggs, omelettes, sandwiches, chicken fried chicken and steak with all the yummy sides. We are always pleasantly full when we leave. Thank you Jaunita for always taking such good care of us!

Yelp
Cindi's is one of my stops at least once whenever I'm in Dallas and I've been going here for years. It's the perfect stop after a night of overindulgence or when you want a hearty breakfast. You have a choice of hash browns which are shredded potatoes and not preformed patties grits pancake toast or bagel I ordered the taco omelet grits and a bagel Scrambled eggs and lox with pancakes

Yelp
It is my future's birthday weekend and we need a place to eat good. We came to Cindy's after reviewing the comments in the yelp reviews. We were seated right away and the place is packed. They do open at 6 AM for the early birds and I'm thinking about coming back in the morning but we'll see what my love says he wants to do. Juanita was a great server and we ate so good. Please support this eatery. Oh and did I tell you they have a bakery as well? Go eat and buy the bake goods
google avatar

Yelp
Their bagels are almost New York, the scallion cream cheese is on point, and most of the servers are friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I popped into Cindi's at 11am on a Saturday afternoon with low expectations for finding quality New York Style Deli Faire in the suburbs of Dallas. I grew up eating potato knishes, bialys, and the most authentic matzo you can find in New York and haven't found anywhere local that's up to snuff. That is, until today. Walking in, this place is reminiscent of any Jewish Deli in NY. The tables were packed and the walls lined with news articles highlighting achievements throughout the years. It was packed with a line out the door of patrons waiting to be seated (which is why I opted for take out). The deli counter was stocked with every bagel imaginable (and all looked freshly made) and an assortment of baked goods. Hello black and white cookies! Even their bagel chips are made from sliced whole bagels (aka they're HUGE). I ordered a cup of matzo, a potato knish, and side order of latkes with apple sauce and sour cream. The staff was welcoming, menu options plentiful, and wait time for a to-go order was completely reasonable considering the food is cooked fresh. The food: -the knish: smooth and velvety. Perfect salty flavor without the overwhelming starchiness that comes from a poorly made knish. It had the perfect consistency. I have no complaints. Even the mustard (which I had forgotten to ask for - but was included anyway because the people here KNOW how this food is supposed to be enjoyed) had an excellent horseradish kick and very well may be the best deli mustard I've had in a long time. -the matzo: the clearest broth with the most subtle and comforting flavor I've come across in Texas. This IS your grandma's matzo. The matzo ball was delicate and delicious. Dipping the everything bagel chips into the broth took things to a new level. -the latkes: they could have been a little crispier (which I'm going to take the fault for since I ordered to-go), but the flavor was magnificent. Latkes with apple sauce are (imo) the perfect sweet/salty food item. The apple sauce was perfect. These are even delicious dipped in the mustard. The price is also fantastic - $23 for enough food to feed me for at least two meals. Overall: ALL the thumbs up, 150000/10, couldn't ask for better. This is the ultimate comfort food and will cure what ails you. This place did what all food should do: it made me nostalgic for better times and left me uncomfortably full and begging for a nap.

Yelp
I dine at the Cyndi's about once a month with my family on weekend mornings. We've been doing this for a number of years. It's a lot of standard diner fair with New York deli offerings. It's consistent and good if that is what you are looking for. Kids love the pancakes and Purple Blueberry bagels. Adults love the omelettes and hash browns.
google avatar

Nani C.

Yelp
What a nice experience !! Everyone is extremely welcoming. They definitely make you feel like you've been to this place plenty of times. This was our first time trying this place and we LOVED IT. Everything that we ate was really good, plates are HUGE. Coffee was 10/10. I just wish they had other kind of creamers. Bagels were extremely yummy and we also ordered fruit, it was sweet and fresh. It was pretty busy around 11:30 but the wait wasn't bad at all, the food came out fast and hot. By the way... They don't have patio tables.
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
This place is the go-to place for me for a great roast beef sandwich. They have been a consistent staple in my twice a month visit. The service is better than expected, especially considering how difficult it is to hire and retain go help almost anywhere. The fact that I've seen several of the same staff over the years says a lot about how valued the employees are. I try and get in before the lunch rush, otherwise parking can be tricky. The menus is varied and the amount of food for the dollar is exceptional.
google avatar

Charley K.

Yelp
Cindy's is a little bit of NYC deli without the grouchy service. Food is always great as most neighbors know. Frequent meeting spot for men's breakfast groups. Best buy is the early bird breakfast or seniors plate.
google avatar

Agencia H.

Yelp
I got steak and eggs it was excellent, from now on I will get breakfast on this place. The coffee was delicious. The service was amazing.

Yelp
Worth every penny! Great service and amazing coffee. Authentic food cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come here again.
google avatar

Lumaris C.

Yelp
...had their banana nut pancakes. Sooo fluffly! Sooo worth it! Definitely coming back to try their sandwiches.
google avatar

Josey H.

Yelp
My dad used to take me and my sister here every weekend for breakfast...sometimes he would even take us twice in one day. The service was always great, and when you start coming so often the owners and employees start to remember who you are and exactly what you want. The food never disappoints and is always fresh. I moved away some time ago, but anytime I am in Dallas I have to stop and have Cindi's.
google avatar

Charlie W.

Yelp
Very large portions and the bagels and pastries are always fresh and delicious. Service was exceptional. Lots of available parking. The waffles are also delicious too! I always eat breakfast here, but they also have a very large selection of lunch items as well.
google avatar

Chuck R.

Yelp
Listen folks, if you can't decide on a place to eat out, consider Cindi's. My family has been to several of their locations, but Forest Ln. is our favorite. The employees are familiar, probably because we are there all the time. Most of them remember what we get before we can say the order. We've been coming here for years. Breakfast is my family's favorite but I bring my employees to Cindi's for lunch as well. They love that there are so many choices. I'm really bad about adding items to my order, but they seem to love the customization with no problems. And just like breakfast and lunch, there's such a wide variety for dinner. From sandwiches, burgers, salads or meatloaf, even breakfast after work! Try the chicken fried steak and eggs, grits or hash browns, pancakes, toast or a bagel. Family favorite. The food is always fresh, plenty to choose from and the pastries and bagels are delicious!!! Looks like a deli when you come in, but feels like a diner as you are quickly seated. The service is friendly andfast paced, but stay as long as you like. And I like that it's not too loud to have a conversation with your family or the server. Can't decide? Stop arguing about where to go. Cindi's will not disappoint.

Victor V.

Yelp
I'm a transplant to Dallas from the East Coast. I am so pleased to have this deli near where I work. I've been getting the stuffed avocado salad with tuna. It's big enough for the wife and I to share it for a lunch. I usually add the cherry-cheesecake dessert. If you don't understand why, I feel bad for you. Eat here! Life is too short to eat terrible food.

Yelp
What a great deli , stoped by wanted late breakfast did not disappoint got the deli omelette pastrami meat with home potatoes and biscuits and gravy and a Reuben sandwich with fries so good . The place was clean inside and out , service was great , server had some great recommendations. Then got a peanut butter cookie and chocolate chip both excellent I recommend.

Yelp
Good spot for breakfast. Coffee was ok. Bagels and lox, senior specials and breakfast specials before 11.

Yelp
2-2023 Really good food both times, but the service is hit or miss, 1st visit mom and I stopped in after a volunteer event. The service was good on the 2nd visit not so much. At times couldn't find our waitress, parts of our order were forgotten. We ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries for the table. Meals were served and waitress walked away, when we tracked her down and asked about the sides it was still some time before they arrived, by then our meal was towards the end. This location is close to moms. The outside looks dark and dated, parking lot could use some tlc. The inside looks like a deli, plenty of tables and booths. Mom enjoys coming here, I love bringing her. The menu is huge, breakfast served all day, pancakes are large, fluffy and they have sausage links or patty's. The double decker cheeseburger club is my favorite. Sweet potato fries have been consistent each time, crispy and not greasy. The coleslaw is a light and refreshing side. Chicken salad double decker club is another good choice, try it with potato salald side. I had my first black & white cookie here, it was okay but not my thing. I will definitely be back for the club and those sweet potato fries. I'll bring mom too.

C T.

Yelp
Good food Restaurant is a little dated but the service was good Selection of sweets was amazing!!
google avatar

C R N.

Yelp
The only thing I don't like about this restaurant are the big, fluffy, bagels. Don't get me wrong, they're wonderful, but they're not small, chewy, New York-style bagels. If you can get over that, everything here is pretty dang authentic. Great service, walk up deli-to-go counter, and restaurant seating. Great atmosphere.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
This ended up being a delightful experience and a bit of a surprise. I was expecting a 3 to 4 star deal but this ended up exceeding my expectations. It wasn't that busy, sat at a booth, looked over the menu and the soups caught my eye. After some discussion I got the Combo Bowl of Soup comes with One Matzo Ball, One Kreplach, Rice and Noodle for $8.95. I really liked it - hearty and fills you up, comes with bagel chips, I would definitely get this again. Then I saw they had herring - wow! I haven't had herring in years - so I asked about it and apparently the two staff I talked to do not eat it but they brought me a small sample to try - yes! It was very good! So I requested it be creamed herring. What a lovely and refreshing dish! The creamed herring was spot-on, tasted great, I was very happy with the quality. The veggies it came with were fresh and quality good - lettuce, an olive, tomato, red onion. If I lived nearby I'd probably get this dish at least 2-3x a week - no joke. It was a real pleaser. Got my coffee filled here spot on, the service was good, everyone was friendly. Overall it was one of those places that beat my expectations and surprised me, very delightful! I promise I will be back.
google avatar

Anna A.

Yelp
I took my parents for dinner here yesterday. The food was very good! We had stew and meatloaf with a lot of different sides. The meals came with really awesome cornbread. The sides included a tasty potato salad, good onion rings, mashed potatoes, French fries and okra. Everything was fresh and tasty! Our server was very nice and helpful when we were ordering. My father had been having a craving for stew for awhile and he said their stew was one of the best he ever had. Can't wait to go back soon!
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Soon as I walk in I'm greeted, seated, and served right away. When you see almost every table full you expect somewhat of a long wait. However, even with a full crowd everything was done quick! Every bite was amazingly done - crunchy, savory, and the eggs were bursting with flavor. 10/10 running back and would recommend to anyone and everyone
google avatar

Yelp
I've been gong to Cyndis for over 10 years. Best Ruben I've ever had!!!! Fast service every time. Rustic and inviting. Feels like home.

Marisol L.

Yelp
I love Cindi's! I've had the pancakes which are huge and fluffy, the chicken fried steak which was so good! Their burgers are delicious! The service is fast and attentive. And the whole place feels very welcoming. I go to Cindi's almost every week. Definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Mindi A.

Yelp
Nothing fancy, nothing trendy, just a good old school NY diner- deli with decent bagels and huge portions. This New Yorker will always be a Cindi's fan.
google avatar

Larry L.

Yelp
This is your place for tasty Bagels and Kosher Deli items (corned beef, pastrami, lox) Their bagels are chewy, not like the store-bought kind that taste like bagel-shaped hamburger buns. I've been to 4 different Cindi's locations in the last 3 years and enjoyed the atmosphere, food, pace, and people-watching. This is the closest to a New Jersey diner as I can find in DFW. They have a great back story for how Cindi came to own her own restaurant and expand its footprint. Can't go wrong: I have always ordered the Pastrami Reuben on Rye even though I vowed to eventually try something else on their menu. Oh well...old habits die hard. Their chicken soup, matzo ball soup, potato knishes, blintzes, breakfast platters are all really popular. Expect to see a loyal customer base. Go give this Vietnamese-American Woman-owned NY Kosher Deli a try if you're craving deli food. Servers are always friendly and attentive. Pro Tip: Be sure to request sauces on the side (they can be generous with their Hollandaise on their Benedicts)
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Great place. Started with Potato Latke's and had the #4 corned beet and pastrami. All delicious and worth a short wait!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
Truly Amazing bagels. Done in the New York style. They also have a great variety of cream cheeses.
google avatar

Lori G.

Yelp
Being Jews that just moved to Texas, we were so happy to find Cindi's! We were told a 25 minute wait, but it was more like 15. I picked up a few things at the counter to take home while waiting. It was fantastic seeing things on the menu like latkes, blintzes and chopped liver! Prices are very reasonable and food was great! Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
Good classic NY Dinner. The menu has many dinner classic bites. It was a hot day in Dallas, so we wanted a nice cold sandwich and cindi's delivered the perfect crisp and cooling of a great sandwich. We ordered the BLT and the Club. I also got a side of potato salad. I am very picky with potato salad and theirs was amazing. Great combo to cool off and stuff my belly with deli meats. Also, do yourself a favor and get yourself a NY Cheesecake slice. The only thing I didn't like was the pickles. I love a good pickle spear, but these were just gross. But that could just be me.
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
Great food, evidently a local favorite. Quick and polite service as well. I got pancakes and eggs, and my boyfriend got a sandwich and fries--all of which were very good!
google avatar

Marisa H.

Yelp
A classic diner, with options for everyone. I have been here a few times, but decided to try the NY reuben this time and it did not disappoint!! Must try with their Pastrami!! Service was quick and food came out fast. Will definitely be back.

Sarah S.

Yelp
My favorite spot everytime we visit Dallas. Definitely recommended for italian homestyle foods.
google avatar

Yarisel S.

Yelp
Loved it! Service is great and fast. Food was delicious, and oh my you must try their bakery items! It's loud in there just like a diner!

Yelp
Recently moved to Dallas from NYC. Had this and it was really good.. as long as you don't compare it to Katz, you will love it
