Exposé Highlights Financial Issues Surrounding Restaurateur Jorge Da Silva Sr. | Eater Montreal

"I found that Les 400 Coups, once part of MTL Cuisine's now-crumbled Old Montreal restaurant empire, is now closed; La Presse's investigation links the group's collapse to alleged bankruptcies, tens of thousands of dollars in unpaid wages and a litany of unpaid taxes, and notes that many of the accusations are directed primarily at Jorge Da Silva Sr." - Tim Forster

Old Montreal’s Les 400 Coups May Have Filed For Bankruptcy [Updated] | Eater Montreal

"An Old Montreal culinary mainstay seems to be in a state of flux: Les 400 Coups closed its doors rather suddenly with little explanation. La Presse reports the owners have filed for bankruptcy according to Quebec’s business register, but there are two business listings at the restaurant’s address — one under long-time owner Jorge Da Silva Sr. that states the restaurant has entered bankruptcy and another under Larisa Baintan that states it has not — and neither listing has changed since the place was put on the market. A sign on the restaurant advertises the fully equipped space for sale, and Sutton Quebec listed the restaurant with a realtor. The restaurant posted to Google in mid‑May that it was closed “for an indeterminate duration” due to an equipment breakage, but there have also been rumblings of staffing trouble: chef Jason Nelsons was seen publishing job postings for multiple servers as well as a line cook and garde‑manger, and there are other active ads looking for cooks and managers. Email and phone calls have gone unanswered while the voicemail still lists regular opening hours; OpenTable still shows reservations (including a one‑star complaint from a diner who arrived to find a note saying the restaurant was closed for “electrical problems”); there’s no mention of the closure on Twitter and the Facebook page appears deactivated. The high‑end kitchen has experienced two chef shuffles in two years — Jonathan Rassi came in and left, with Nelsons replacing him last summer — and although it appeared Da Silva was trying to divest multiple Old Montreal restaurants, Quebec’s register still lists him as owner, so the situation remains unclear." - Tim Forster

Not my favorite. Cramped space, light in the room during the show, and drink not allowed in. Just didn’t click.

A small cinema in Angers. The place is good enough to have a film. The price is also the cheapest compare to other cinemas in Angers.

If you are under 26 years you can get a ticket for only 6€, very worth it. Only vending machines so if you want specific snacks bring your own! Also no cupholders on the seats. But overall good, clean theater.

Great selection of movies, but unbearably hot in the summer. Had trouble watching my film it was so warm. Good sound quality and projection, as well as very clean bathrooms, so it keeps some stara. Overall fine, but not the aummer relief you might want if you're looking for a cool evening film.

Google
The only cinema place which happens to be on the Jeanne Moreau street. For a reason because she was the best actress of her time. 400 coups like Truffaut is an independent director/cinema. Go there and don’t go to Gaumont. Choose wisely.

An excellent cinéma. Most films are in VO ( original version) so there are no problems watching English or American films. If the film is in Spanish or Italian then the subtitles will of course be in French.

This cinema is really nice to watch all kinds of movies, beyond Hollywood movies. Great attention and have some food machines inside

Survived in the heart of Angers for years, this is the go to place for some good movie time at a normal price (not the 12e ticket) ~ Clean place, confortable, definetly the spot for the VO movies~
