The cinnamon roll seemed to be either cold or old. I’m glad that it was 100% vegan. My expectation of a soft roll was not met. The place was clean. There was a lot to choose from. The staff wasn’t as inviting when I walked in. I’ll give it another chance down the line although I got a real bad toothache after lol

Google
This is a cute bakery chain in Wicker Park-- the only one located in the city of Chicago. The interior is pretty compact with no indoor seating, and the staff are super nice and friendly. Their cinnamon rolls have creative names and flavors, and they all looked enticing. A friend and I shared the Milwaukee Ave cinnamon roll, which had frosting, walnuts, blueberries, and blueberry sauce. The total was just under $10, which is definitely quite steep for a cinnamon roll. While it tasted good, it wasn't exceptional, but it could've just been the mildness of the particular flavor we chose. We got a buy 1 roll get 1 free voucher with our purchase, so I would be interested in coming back to try some other more creative-looking flavors.

Google
Staff seem nice enough. They Thought I was ordering a menu item when I ordered a custom walk back in to have it switched to the correct order. They were willing to remake it after having it remade it's warm but you can tell The roll itself has been sitting in their heater for a long time and it's kind of stale

Entering the establishment the smells are so over powering i loved it, I was welcomed by Steven. Such a nice person very helpful as well. Gave me a sample of some cookie dough, was over all very helpful, i was surprised to find out that they were dairy free and vegetarian but tasted amazing regardless. Would definitely go back and try more options.

Cinnaholic is a delightful bakery and cafe that consistently delivers mouthwatering cinnamon rolls. The variety of flavors and customizable options make each visit a unique experience. The staff, especially Sophia, exemplifies excellent customer service with her courteous behavior and respectful demeanor. Sophia's friendly approach enhances the overall positive atmosphere, making Cinnaholic a must-visit for delicious treats and exceptional service.

I think at this point I’ve tried every single flavor. They’re all phenomenal. This place never disappoints.

Google
Omg, so good! This is a vegan's dessert dream come true. Not only do they have a huge variety of cinnamon roll toppings and suggestions for combos of toppings, but they also have pineapple soft serve and cookies. And guess what?! They have a cinnamon bun cake with your choice of 6? toppings! Keep that in mind for your next bday! I had one that was a "strawberry cheesecake" kind of toppings and it was magical. Sorry my pic is half-eaten, I couldn't wait to dig in! My only complaint is that my fork broke before my first bite, even though I was being careful, so maybe asking people if they need a knife is a good idea.

Google
I always wanted to give this place a try and it was a perfect opportunity yesterday to take out my first cinnamon bun from this place! I got the Old Skool Roll for $1 as a special & a cinnadoodle cookie 🤭😍 I do wish I had the Roll as soon as I brought it home with me, when it was warm & gooey — however, it was still good when I tried it first this morning 👍 I’ll definitely return for different types of Rolls and update photos then!

Yelp
The options were almost overwhelming and everything looked good. Went with a classic "Old Skool Roll" for home (which was delicious) and a "fun" one for as soon as we walked out. We were torn between that and the "Toasty Crunch" which we were told was super popular and the "Pumpkin Doodle". We went with the Doodle and oh man!! Insanely good. That should be recommended more! We couldn't stop raving after each bite! Can't wait to try more!

Yelp
Some of the worst food poisoning I've ever had. They keep taking down the reviews on delivery app so I'll tell you here to please stay away. Even if you don't get sick, the quality is frankly disgusting. I'll be haunted by that frosting forever. Everything was stale and the artificial taste of the icing and toppings was horrible. I don't like to leave nasty reviews, but this is not a small business, so different rules apply in this case. Just stay away and support a local bakery and get good quality!
google avatar

Yelp
Try the cherry cheesecake or caramel apple pie! Mouth watering! There are so many choices of frostings and toppings.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Unfortunately these cinnamon rolls were so boring! No real cinnamon and zero gooey cinnamon sugar! Presentation was even boring. The brownie was subpar. The sugar cookie had a weird plastic smell. Wish I read the recent reviews before I went. Will not return and would not recommend.

Yelp
Recently went in for a cinnacake and was not disappointed! Staff were super friendly and the store had a very welcoming vibe. Cake was soo delicious and my family enjoyed it on Christmas Eve. Will definitely be back!

Portia

Yelp
I went in to pick up a doordash order and mentioned how great it smelled, so the man working offered me a cinnamon roll and it was just amazing!! I will definitely be going back for myself!
google avatar

Jillian B.

Yelp
I'm a fiend for cinnamon rolls, and knew I had to give it a try when looking for a morning pastry. Cinnaholic had a ton of different toppings, flavors, etc to choose from! While they all looked delicious, I had to go with a classic. And it was so good! Of course, very sweet.. so paired well with a cup of coffee!
google avatar

Blake B.

Yelp
Vegan? Sweets? Coffee? Yes please! A cute small spot in the area to grab delicious baked goods that can be customized to your liking or selecting from their premade menu and did I mention VEGAN?! The iced coffee could have been better but to be fair it was late afternoon when I made my pit stop in. The cinnamon roll was amazing and left me wanting more!

Yelp
I love this place so much I wish I lived closer! Cinnamon rolls always been something I love, but since I wasn't vegan, it was hard to find them but then I found this place a year or so ago and I'll always be meaning to go but I finally made it. They be at a lot of festivals that I go to that are vegan based so that's how I have them but I finally went inside the store. It was super quick and no one was in line for me, so I was able to take my time to pick what I wanted. The girl that works in the store. She was very nice and I love that you can buy the ones that were baked yesterday for two dollars which I did and then I got frosting for 50 Cent.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has definitely fallen off from when they first opened. I ordered a couple different flavored icing, strawberry & lemon. The artificial taste was so strong I couldn't even eat it! Not sure if they've changed their recipes, aren't using fresh ingredients, or cut cost after covid - but what went from the best vegan cinnamon roll I ever had, to whatever they're doing now is disappointing.
google avatar

Johanna H.

Yelp
Healthy and unhealthy; Vegan but delicious; sugar without the coma, all at the same time. holding the opposites together at the same time with such consistency is why we keep coming back. In addition to the obvious old skool I also like the cookie dough and brownie. The frozen gelato is also good.
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
The only thing missing from this place are stand-up tables, because the rolls are amazing. And warm. And deserve to be eaten as soon as possible. We got a caramel apple roll to split. The pecans were nice and toasty, and the cream cheese frosting was probably the best cream cheese frosting of its kind that I've ever had. It took about 7 minutes to put together. Now, the crazy thing: this place is vegan? I seriously had no idea, and having put together a bunch of cream cheese rolls myself... I have no idea how I would do it while also being the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. Much kudos to the recipe makers.
google avatar

Yelp
The bun I got was very tasty! Definitely can share with two people. The person working was also very knowledgeable on all the different flavors and it was cool that there were Chicago specific flavors. There is no inside seating. I'm not a HUGE sweets/cinnamon roll person but otherwise would recommend if u like sweets and cinnamon rolls.

Yelp
I decided to do a tour of Wicker Park to try some restaurants that were on my list. First up was Cinnaholic. I've seen a lot of Tik Tok as well as I've had lunch from Angry Crab so I've driven past it several times. I placed my order online and received a text that let me know that my order was ready. When I arrived it's like it was freshly baked. I got a Custom Roll that had Oreo Cookies and Cheesecake frosting, Old Skool Roll, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Cinnadoodle Cookie. The Old Skool Roll was so good it was buttery and melt in your mouth. The Custom Roll I created was good also but you can never go wrong with an original Cinnamon roll. I am a huge fan of Chocolate Chip Cookies and I have high standards and this one met my standards. I really like snicker doodle cookies but this one didn't hit the way that I would have liked it. The Pricing was average, and the customer service was great. Overall, I will be back when on that side of town

Yelp
Visiting Cinnaholic was long overdue for me. I say long overdue because as one that frequently visits the area, I always procrastinated on visiting post finishing errands in the area. I remember it like yesterday when I initially spotted its location outside of Wicker Park Commons which made me feel very giddy-like because of the possibility of a visit. The day of my visit, I made it a priority to visit as a treat to myself after completing Bank of America Chicago 13.1, a half marathon located on the west-side of Chicago. Options for parking noted are either neighborhood, street, or possibly within Wicker Park Commons. I say possibly because Cinnaholic sits outside of it along Milwaukee Ave rather than inside of it. During this visit, I took my chances of parking in Wicker Park Commons since I figured that I would be in-and-out which ended up not being an issue. I was greeted as soon as I walked inside and up to the counter to see what was offered. Prior to seeing what was offered, I told the employee that I have been eyeballing this place for a while now, but procrastination has kept me from visiting sooner. I ended up ordering the White Sox Roll because of it being topped with oreo chunks which I absolutely love. Likely, if I were to have chosen something different, it would have been either the Strawberry Shortcake, or the Cookie Monster which caught my eye as I waited for the White Sox Roll to be prepared. It was shared with me by the employee that the Cookie Monster is one of the popular items sold after my mentions of it. Service: 5 (Great) Cinnaholic offers no indoor seating, but it is open for takeout, and catering for all types of events. I love that along with choosing from some of the signature cinnamon rolls, the menu features bite-sized baby buns, cookies, brownies and raw, edible cookie dough. They also serve coffee (at most locations) and offer customizable options for your cinnamon roll. Atmosphere: 4 (Good) As for my order, I must say that I enjoyed the White Sox Roll! I really adored that the toppings were soft rather than crunchy too! And my oh my was that cinnamon roll sweet! It was so sweet that I had to take breaks in-between taking bites of it. Food: 4 (Good) Being that I have finally visited Cinnaholic and had a good experience, I would gladly visit again whenever in the area. In the meantime, I do look forward to possibly seeing Cinnaholic at Vegandale. Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 4 | Food: 4 ~ Live. Laugh. Love. ~ Thomas G

Yelp
I'm so glad I gave this place a shot , first off staff is INCREDIBLY friendly (I would have waited all day for my Cinnabon with how friendly they were). My suggestion is to go for the classic Cinnabon , it doesn't need any additional toppings because of how fresh it is . I got the White Sox and all of the cookies on top were a bit overwhelming and I regretted not going more simple. Regardless of that , I highly recommend this place and will be back!

Yelp
You know when you bite something super sweet it almost tastes bitter. That's how I felt. After one bite I was done. I have a big sweet tooth but that tastes like I'm eating pure sugar. We got the seats tower and Cookie Monster. First of they are huge so probably enough for three people to share. I don't think that I will be coming again. It's just too sweet for my taste and I wasn't enjoying it. My bf did not like it either, so overall it was a miss for us.
google avatar

Yelp
There's something about a cinnamon roll, you just can't go wrong with this option if you're craving sweets. If you're looking for a burst of fruity goodness with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberry jam trust me, you've got to order the Very Berry Roll. If you're feeling more traditional, go for the classic old skool roll. The vanilla frosting on top? Perfectly creamy and sweet.
google avatar

Phoebe L.

Yelp
We've been here a bunch since discovering it at the vegandale fest, and it was crazy that everything is totally vegan! Everything is done to go, and we usually take them to the park nearby to enjoy while they're still nice and warm. This most recent time we got the White Sox roll and the s'mores roll, but we've also had the wicker park, old skool, and Cookie Monster. We've also had some dole whip, which was incredible. The cinnamon buns are incredibly gooey, and the frosting is always so delicious. There are also so many frostings and toppings to try! I think the only thing we didn't like was the cinnadoodle cookie bites on top of the White Sox roll because it was a little salty and tasted of baking powder. Other than that, the workers are always so nice, and it's hard to believe the food doesn't have dairy!

Yelp
I created a yelp to write a review before I even finished eating this build your own cinnamon roll. Need to get!!!! If you need inspo we created it with cream cheese frosting, cookie dough, peanut butter cups, caramel drizzle, and one of the cookie bites that I'm blanking on. A must buy

Tyler H.

Yelp
Violent food poisoning, didn't know that was possible to get from cinnamon rolls but I learned otherwise. Gave it two stars instead of one because it did taste good, but unfortunately I'll never be able to eat cinnamon rolls again.

Mindi A.

Yelp
My friend is vegan and when I was on vacation in Chicago she "made" me order from your store.. I brought them all the way home to Boston! Well worth the trip
google avatar

Yelp
Who doesn't love a cinnamon roll?!?! No one!! I was out running errands with my son. We decided to pop in and pick up a couple of rolls. They create great topping combinations with great names as a nod to Chicago. Fun! They also offer some more classic rolls and even the option to create your own. They also have Baby Buns for a mini treat. I saw they sell Dole Whip and other beverages. I'll have to check that out next time. The interesting thing is, everything is vegan! Big, decadent, vegan cinnamon rolls with gooey frosting and no animals were hurt. I like it. The owner is such a nice guy. He was so friendly and helpful. The girl who assisted us was just as friendly and welcoming. High quality sweet treats, great service and free parking. Yes please!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
If you're wondering whether vegan cinnamon rolls taste as good as non-vegan cinnamon rolls, the answer is absolutely yes. I'm not a fan of overly rich treats so, while these cinnamon rolls are definitely what I would classify as decadent desserts, I wouldn't say they're over the top. Cinnaholic offers a wide variety of flavors, including Chicago-themed ones like the Willis Tower, which was delicious! If you're looking for one that's slightly lighter, I can recommend the Strawberries & Cream. Besides cinnamon rolls, they also have some other baked goodies by the cash register (which are also vegan). I got to try the chocolate chip banana bread - a bit too sweet and soft for my tastes but still good. Also shout-out to (who I believe is) the owner...really friendly person that made me feel right at home!

Juan L.

Yelp
Damn tic tok made my 5 month pregnant wife crave cinnamon rolls call 8 places nothing and this place came up and it did the job and beyond expectation so on to the next craving.
google avatar

Maitri S.

Yelp
This is one of my FAVORITE vegan dessert place. Their rolls are always freshly made in house, served warm, and delicious. You can pick your own toppings and frosting or go with a signature roll. Their cream cheese frosting is AMAZING- you won't even be able to tell that it's vegan. My favorites are the berry bliss roll, the s'mores roll, and the seasonal pumpkin spice roll. They also have delicious vegan brownie bites, cookies, banana bread, and more. The staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming and will go the extra mile to make sure your order is perfect.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
I came by when Cinnaholic first opened in Wicker Park and got the Milwaukee Avenue and The Willis Tower. They were both very sweet and heavy, so definitely more of a dessert than a breakfast item! The owner and workers were so sweet and let us try spoons of the various types of frosting. The buns and frosting were just too sweet for my taste, but I'd recommend this place to anyone who can't get enough!
google avatar

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Very delicious cinnamon rolls You can choose the Chicago theme speciality rolls or make your own They also have cookies or banana bread, drinks, bottled milk
google avatar

Cheyenne G.

Yelp
What a pleasant experience! The staff was extremely friendly and made some great recommendations since I'm super indecisive. I tried the Milwaukee & Berry roll and goodness, the savory and sweetness is outstanding! I shared them with my 8 year old cousin and she is crazy about them! I will surely be back when I have an insatiable sweet tooth.
google avatar

Khamara K.

Yelp
I love me some Cinnabon so when I saw this place I just had to try it out. The staff was very friendly and seeing it was my first visit they were very helpful describing their different rolls and helping with suggestions. Their display is soo appealing plus the sweet smells it was hard not to get one of each but I ended up getting: Whicker Park Roll 5/5! If you're a coffee lover you'll love this roll. White Sox Roll 5/5! Definitely recommend coming here for a sweet soft delicious treat. They also have vegan options!!
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
Came here strangely for the pizza roll and omg it was great!! They're also have delicious companion rooms: pumpkin cheesecake, banana surprise, Sears tower, Oreo. Carnival crunch, pumpkin spice and so many more!! Come in for the pizza but leave for the cinnamon pizza:)

Katie H.

Yelp
Like with a lot of vegan stuff these days, they do taste slightly different, but also amazing! The icing is almost buttery. Love the consistency of the dough and the cinnamon filling is nice. The staff was super nice, and I like their logo.
google avatar

Paige K.

Yelp
Ok I promise I'm not just promoting this bc it was free but the cinnamon rolls were great! As a Yelp Elite member, I had the opportunity to try Cinnaholic on a promotion. I ordered the Cookie Monster and a Create Your Own. The manager or owner, not sure, was so sweet and accommodating! I picked a plain roll with vanilla frosting and added caramel, graham crackers and cinnadoodle cookie pieces. The cookie pieces were super tasty! And overall the roll was delicious! Soft and moist, just the right amount of toppings. I will say, my selections were superrrr sweet haha I ate half and saved the rest for dessert the next day. A day later heated for 30secs on half power in the microwave and it was still delicious. My husband ate the Cookie Monster and thought it was great as well. Also sweet but with cinnamon rolls, that's what you expect! Would definitely come back.
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
If you didn't tell me this place is 100% vegan, I would have never known! Take it from this non-vegan: the desserts may be lacking in animal products but not in flavor! Here's what I tried (it's a lot cause I'm a sugar fiend): - mango dole whip: soooo good and refreshing & even better than the classic pineapple whip - pineapple dole whip: also very good but I've had this elsewhere before. - banana bread: delicious! - cookie dough: soooo good and safer to eat than standard cookie dough because theirs doesn't have eggs in it! - cherry cheesecake cinnamon roll: their cinnamon rolls are epic so I highly recommend sharing them with someone but they're assembled fresh and hot for you! Also the service is amazing! They were so nice, friendly, and patient with my indecisiveness!

Yelp
The staff here is so friendly and patient and the Wicker Park is a good pick if you don't know what to choose and you have a sweet tooth. You can customize any roll to your liking. I just wish they had indoor seating!
google avatar

Paula B.

Yelp
Best cinnamon roll of our lives! Every bite was pure happiness, now we have a new addiction and another reason to go to wicker park. If you're pondering on whether or not it's worth it, it absolutely is. Think something might be too sweet? That's ok, you can customize it anyway you like. But please when you go, try the mango dole whip!! This is the only location with the dole machine. It's the perfect treat for a hot summer day to cool you off. I was able to see a sneak peak of the pizza rolls that will debut in October. They looked incredible, I can see this savory item being a huge hit. Please make this a year round item. Pizza is for every season in Chicago. Employees were incredibly kind and personable. Thank you for all your tasty suggestions today. Establishment was clean, ordering was easy to understand, and parking was simple. We will easily come back again.
google avatar

George N.

Yelp
Came here via an invite as I've never heard of the place. I have to say it's a cute tiny space and the staff is really friendly!! It's a little overwhelming with all of the options, but the treat itself is tasty. While it's not a pristine looking roll, it's served warm and would go great with a baileys and coffee I'd go back again sometime
google avatar

Susan E.

Yelp
Everything is delicious, it's super chill, + the staff at this location are helpful and nice! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I have heard some positive reviews from some vegan community's I belong to so figured I would try them out since I was near this location. I was looking forward to them for certain as I always love some good tasty treats. Walking in the staff was helpful and friendly. Shop was small ( all good here). I got a few varieties cinnamon roles and liked the concept of getting to try some cinnamon rolls with a twist. I have to be straight with you.... when I was opening the box when I got I kinda had ewww moment ... and they just looked nasty. They were limp and bit of a mess with the toppings. I had to put that aside and take a bite. After all I have heard great feedback. The first bite was not to appealing and figured I would try the other version. Maybe that was just a bad one... the second was actually worse and couldn't eat it. I tried the third and i stopped. These cinnamon rolls were horribly bad. Now just to be clear I'm vegetarian and not My first rodeo with vegan baked good. To cut to the chase... I can't recommend going here. The quality was not acceptable and honestly never had any treats this nasty. It's a zero for me... stay away.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
I got a surprise bag of leftover food from Too Good to Go, which is an app that lets restaurants sell food at a discount that would have otherwise been thrown out. I appreciate that Cinnaholic is on the app and fighting food waste! I received a few of the mini rolls and one of the bigger rolls. They didn't have any of the fancy toppings. The mini rolls were prepackaged and didn't seem very special--they seemed very similar to the mini cinnamon rolls that you can get the big tray of at Costco (#iykyk). The big cinnamon roll was good, but not great without any toppings. One thing that was weird is that the calories were listed for each item...you know what they say, ignorance is bliss!

Tapeca C.

Yelp
Great concept; horrible execution. Flavors missed the mark and the price point was too high.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
They have a variety of different types of toppings for the cinnamon rolls. The service is fast and efficient. The place has a great decoration for the different type of rolls.
google avatar

Ojus P.

Yelp
Hovering between 3 and 4 stars and rounded down based on the price of $7.25 per roll. Franchise featured on Shark Tank with gourmet Cinnamon Rolls. The rolls are solid and warm, though not spectacular, with quite a fun range of toppings. Pretty generic ingredient quality but creatively brought together. Cookie Monster Roll - 4/5. Super loaded with a ton of fun crunchy textures. This one just works. Really fun and keeps you coming back. Blackhawks Roll - 2.5/5. OK but nothing special. The cookie bites are a nice touch.

Yelp
Great customer service, best dole whip, couldn't have asked for a better combo! I thought it was overrated when I saw so many posts from social media pop up. It wasn't until I had to try the dole whip & Vegan cinnamon rolls myself. At first I thought $4 dole whip, a $7.25 cinnamon roll was well worth it. I knew about Vegan cinnamon rolls but I heard about the dole whip from my friends. My friends who went to Dole plantation in Hawaii said this was so good! I walked in after having ramen down the street. The owner and employee was super nice and friendly! I asked questions and he allowed me to have a taste of the dole whip before committing to it. He recommended we get the Cookie Monster as it's the most popular item. It's on the expensive side but if it's worth paying, people come back, and indeed we will! We came back to eat in the car, loved the dole whip so much we went back to buy 3 more so we can bring it back home to our family. I've already told my friends to go. I can't wait to go back to try different flavors!

Yelp
I was shopping nearby, saw Cinnaholic, and decided to treat myself. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful man (who also gave me coupons after I ordered!). While they have seemingly endless options, I decided to go simple with the Wicker Perk - basically a cinnamon roll with coffee icing and chocolate sauce. Since the space is pretty small, I decided to take my order to go but I think this was a mistake to wait to eat it because everything just sort of melted together. Don't get me wrong tho - still delicious! And you would never know it's all vegan. My only real gripe is the price point - more than $7 for my roll. Maybe if you get more toppings it feels more worth it. But definitely a treat if you're in the neighborhood craving something sweet.

Yelp
Visited based on a food blogger's video of the Dole Whip. We love pineapple anything, so it was ON. Lord be a diabetic pill, because that Dole Whip was Beyond Delicious. I know that sugar was bouncing in my blood stream. We also got the mini cinnamon roll pack that was only $5 and it comes with one choice of icing. We got the regular cream cheese. They lost 2 stars for forgetting the other half of our order. Then gave us super cold mini cinnamon buns. We only ate one, since they were so cold. We ended up throwing the rest away. We did visit another day and got the Pineapple AND mango whip. Cute establishment. A little cramped if there are more than 6 ppl inside. Workers were cool. Forgetful, but cool.

Yelp
First time here and I was amazed. Felt like a child in a candy store. I heard about this place on tiktok and let me tell you . There are so many things they do with a cinnamon bun. The topping you can add on a ice cream, yogurt, waffle or pancake you can add it on a cinnamon bun. There are there speciality and there are some they create. Meet the owner Stephen. He's the nicest guy who gave me sample and explain to me about the creation of cinnamon bun. Would come back here again and recommend people to come.

Yelp
Yeah this is an easy review for me. The moment you walk in the aroma of the rolls takes root in you. There's no other option once it hits. From there, pick one of theirs or have the freedom to make your own creation. You feeling fruity or sweet? Both options are covered. I can't hype this place enough cause my whole gang absolutely loved it. Workers were really nice and patient as well. Sadly you cannot eat in there as there aren't any tables, but whenever I'm around wicker park I shall be stopping in.
